Which deities have come to pay homage to my senior brother with such respect? The Elder Cunda said: - Dear mother, the first four are the Four Great-Kings. She thought to herself, “Do the four great heavenly kings come to worship and pay homage to my son, is my son such a noble person! How noble, then, is the Buddha who is my son's teacher!" And she continued: - Hey Cunda! And who are the other gods? The Elder Cunda continued: "Mother, next, the heavenly king Sakka from the heavens of the three-thirty-three heavens, then the king of the heavens Sujama of the damas-gods, the king of the heavens Santussita of the Tusita heavens-- da-tian, the heavenly king Sunimmita of the Hoa-la-chic heaven, the king of heaven Paranimmita from the Tha-hoa-self-in-the-sky heaven, and then the great Brahmas from the form-world heavens , … Hearing Mr. Elder Cunda say so, she thought again: “The great Brahma that I worship, those Great Brahmas have the respect to come and pay homage to my son, who is such a noble person! How noble, then, must be the Buddha who is my son's Teacher!" Thinking like that, she generated great-good-hearted-joy like never before, she kindly inquired about the condition of the Venerable Great Elder Sāriputta and expressed her thoughts. The Venerable Sāriputta knew the right time, so he preached about the Buddha's grace to save his mother. After listening to the Buddha's Enlightenment, she immediately realized the truth of the Four Noble Truths, attained the Noble Path-Entering, the Saint-Result-Entering, and Nirvana, and was able to eradicate two kinds of defilements. The mind is wrong views and doubts, becoming a stream-enterer who has pure and unwavering faith in the Three Jewels: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. The Venerable Sāriputta thought that: "Now I have paid back my mother's birth and upbringing." At dawn that night, the Great Elder Sāriputta passed away Nirvana, liberated from the sufferings of birth and death in the three worlds and four species. Through the story of the great Elder Sāriputta's mother, she did not have faith in the Three Jewels, because she worshiped the Great Brahma whom she considered the noblest, and she was also annoyed by 7 Her children all left home in the teaching of Gotama Buddha, etc. Those were the reasons that prevented her from having pure faith in the Three Jewels, not that she did not have good conditions in the Three Jewels. When she knew that the Great Brahma that she worshiped, and now those Great Brahmas have reverence and come to pay respects to her son, then her son is a nobler than the Great Brahma. -God, so she thought that: “The Buddha is your son's teacher. How noble, then, must the Buddha be!" Therefore, she immediately developed faith in the Buddha, so she generated great compassion and was extremely happy with her 7 children who had left home and left home in the teaching of Gotama Buddha.
