Methods of studying Buddhism: Literature, wisdom, and wisdom.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
If you want to enter the door of enlightenment, you cannot enter if you are not a wise general. The Buddhadharma is the truth, if there is no torch of wisdom illuminating, how can we see everything around us, without wisdom, only using faith to come to Buddhism, to study the Buddhadharma, it is wrong. great mistake.
This is a serious illness of modern Buddhists. This disease needs to be cured. We must thoroughly apply the three subjects of Hue study to the work of studying Buddhism .
Buddhist studies turn to reign over themselves, filter out the unclean minds, create a clear, peaceful and happy soul.
Is it okay to study Buddhism online without a teacher?
What is literature?
Literature is listening, by listening to the teachings of the Buddha Dharma, wisdom is opened and bright, called Van wisdom. We listen to the Buddhadharma through the teachings of monks and knowledgeable friends who have studied before us. These teachings come from the Buddha's scriptures, which contain all the right words, showing all things to sentient beings. The more we listen to wisdom, the brighter we become. Or we directly read Buddhist scriptures , expanding wisdom also belongs to Van wisdom. Hard working listening to teachings, diligently studying Buddhist scriptures, that's the one who knows from the gate of Wisdom straight into the house of Buddhism.
What is philanthropy?
Consciousness is judgmental judgment, by judging and judging the teachings of the Buddhadharma, wisdom grows. We are allowed to listen to the instructions of our teacher, taken from the Buddhist scriptures , but hearing and believing it is not enough to study Buddhism. Forcing us to use our intellect to judge whether it is right or wrong, if it is indeed true, then we will believe. It is possible to properly practice the sentence "You must light your own torch and go, light the torch with the Dharma", in the Dhammapada. We want to expand our wisdom, but we can't open it ourselves. We must light the torch of our wisdom with the torch of the Buddha's Dharma, only then will wisdom shine.
How to bait?
For example, we hear a teacher say: "All the world is impermanent". Then use your wisdom to judge whether it is correct or not. We ask ourselves: all the world is impermanent, is there anything outside of that law? If so, this statement is not true. Otherwise, the truth is true, we will completely believe. Then we examine ourselves: Is man impermanent? From grandparents to parents, we are all born, grow up, get sick, get old, and then die. Including me, when I'm small, grow up, get sick, get old, and die. It's the same in our family and relatives, in society as it is, in the world as well; It was like that in the past, and so will it be in the future. Truly an extraordinary person.
To the things, which houses, tables and chairs, vehicles... are impermanent? My own house, when newly built, is beautiful and healthy, after a few years, it gets old, and in ten years, it is damaged. The writing desk is the same, when it is new, it looks shiny and beautiful, after a few years, it looks old, the paint is peeling, and then it will rot. The bike when I bought it was brand new, after running for a year, the martial arts was torn, the neck was loose, the screws were loose... in a few years it will be damaged. So, houses, furniture, cars... the things we need next to us are all governed by impermanence. Up to hundreds of thousands of other objects, if examined, they all have the same fate.
We can conclude that: "All the world is impermanent", indeed the truth. I am convinced that this fact, no matter what anyone says otherwise, will not shake my faith. Because this belief has been filtered through the sieve of reason, it is firm and not easily shaken.
I go to the temple, I study Buddhism
Van-hui and Tu-hui are very necessary, but Tu-hui is even more important.
As another example, we hear a teacher explain the doctrine of reincarnation, saying: "Everything in the world revolves around the cycle of reincarnation". We ask ourselves: Why do all things reincarnate? Is there anything that does not reincarnate? We start with plants: Plants form from seeds, seeds germinate, grow into trees, bloom, bear fruit; fruit produces seeds, seeds germinate again... over and over again not the same. But it is the inversion from one tree to another, is the tree itself upside down? Also flipping back and forth like that. The tree trunk is now living here, by rooting the country... nurtured to grow, gradually becoming a great longevity. The roots absorb the water to nourish the branches and leaves, the fallen leaves turn into soil, the more broken they become, the more they fall into the soil, the fallen tree trunks also return to the country. The tree trunk grows thanks to the country, when it falls, it returns to the country.
What is Buddhist learning from the root to the top?
As big as a globe, it still revolves around its axis, light and dark, dark and light. Based on its rotation, people divided into days, hours, months, spring, summer, autumn and winter weather, rotating forever.
Due to the above survey, we affirm that "All things in the world revolve around the cycle of reincarnation" is the truth without any doubt.
Above are a few examples as the basis for the work of judging the Buddhadharma. Based on this, we judge what the Buddha taught, or the monks taught in other cases. It is possible to distinguish between right and wrong and the right spirit of Buddhist learners.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SKAYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.31/10/2021.
