River of mind: Consciousness Only (I). In the 17th century, the West had a philosophical movement about idealism and materialism. The struggle between these two factions creates human society towards an ideal society. Meanwhile, in the 6th century, in India, Buddhism had only consciousness, that is, idealism was born. The origin was praised by Asanga Bodhisattva and his brother Vasubandhu as a revolution in Buddhism. One wonders if consciousness-only brings liberation from afflictions, or does greed, hatred and delusion are the criteria established by the Buddha? When all dharmas are only conscious by consciousness, the three worlds are only mind. If all dharmas are only consciousness, who is responsible for the karma? Who practices, who realizes who is diligent, who meditates? It's all just a stream of consciousness that goes on forever from life to life. Theravada Buddhism teaches that cultivation is the transformation of all defilements, Now consciousness-only is born, our body 5 aggregates are also created by consciousness and mind. So if we don't have the self, then the consciousness we have, which is illusory, is just consciousness. It is argued that matter comes first or mind comes first, while the Buddha teaches that there is neither idealism nor materialism. Everything exists because of fate. The Shurangama Sutra tells the mind to create all dharmas, then all dharmas operate according to the law of dependent origination. Thanks to only consciousness, we stop greed, hatred, delusion because it is only consciousness, so what do we cling to it, but what does greed, hatred and delusion do? Consciousness only teaches us to have the most correct conception of all things. They are like the market without me interfering, because sentient beings see all things wrong, so only consciousness teaches us to have the most correct view. Only the epistemology is not the teaching of the Buddha but the commentary, that is, the collection of the Buddha's teachings that the ancestors made up. So what is consciousness? All that we see, hearing, touching, smelling, and feeling its existence comes from our consciousness. Base union creates consciousness. The ceiling is the object of the sense that is the entrance, of our body for consciousness to create in our head. The important thing is that what it appears through our consciousness that exists, is it really what it is? Only consciousness is called the dependent variable, the discriminant variable. Variable means common. Next means test, compare. According to Wikipedia: The Mind Only School (zh. 唯識宗, sa. vijñaptimātravādin, yogācārin, cittamātravādin) is the Southeast Asian name for a school of Buddhism. In India and Tibet, this school is called Consciousness School, Consciousness School (sa. vijñānavādin), or Yoga practice (sa. yogācārin); In Tibet, it is also called Mind Only School (zh. 唯心宗, sa. cittamātrin). It is one of the two main schools of Mahayana Buddhism led by two great masters Asanga (zh. 無著, sa. asaṅga) and his brother Vasubandhu (zh. 世親, sa. vasubandhu). It is said that it was in the 4th century that it was Maitreya's Bodhisattva Maitreya (zh. 彌勒, sa. maitreya) who initiated this school. The other representatives of this sect were Bandhusri (Than Thang). , Citrabhàna (Fire Bliss), Gunamati (German Wisdom), Dignàga (Tran Na), Sthiramati (An Tue), Dharmakīrti (Dharma Sacrifice, a student of Dignàga), Silabhadra (Gender sage, a student of Dharmapala). When Master Xuanzang returned from India and translated the main treatises of the Mind Only School into Chinese, the Fa-Chief school (the school that studied the nature and shape of things) arose in China and spread throughout the world. several East Asian countries. We explore the profound impact of the epistemology that is today the most fundamental of Buddhism. Because of its very abstract and theoretical nature, Therefore, we need to study and learn from the main text of the scriptures, which are explained by the elders who have summarized it for easy understanding, with very few Han Vietnamese nouns. Only the epistemology is not the teaching of the Buddha but the commentary, that is, the collection of the Buddha's teachings that the ancestors made up. There are three famous treatises in Buddhism: Mahayana, the Middle Way, and Consciousness Only. We have not been enlightened, we cannot see anything in our skin. That place contains the seeds of both organic and unscrupulous seeds. a. Dharma sign: Dharma is all things around us that have properties that make us have the concept of their existence. Form is the form we can see, touch, and feel. Dharma signs are dharmas that have a form in nature so that we can examine it to avoid misrecognizing it. b. Three Quantities: Quantities are forms of perception and awareness of the Dharma. first. Vipassana is the most correct form of existent phenomena, it is nothing but it, with no ego interfering. 2. Ratio is there I interjected for comparison over inferior. 3. Non-quantity is the imaginary nature of our consciousness. Theravada Buddhism calls it the Tathagata of the mind. Consciousness only assumes that we perceive things as false, and then compare them with each other. Because comparison leads to impermanence and non-self. So the practice is to return to the Vipassana and realize that they are not interfered with by the self. c. Three scenes: Including the ceiling outside. The scene is the current ceiling. Confrontation is the ceiling of the past. Single scene is the ceiling of the future by imagination. d. Three natures: is the 3 self-nature of the only consciousness: 1. The next variable of attachment: also known as Distinguishing the self-nature, the hope of distinguishing the self-nature, the false self-nature. Based on the changing (variable) appearance and comparing (the design) of the dharmas, we perceive it in an untrue way. 2. Y tha start: also known as the predestined nature, the mutual nature. Depending on the arising of the other is the relative knowing, which exists because of the nature of dependent arising of the other. 3. Vien honestly nature: also known as the first meaning nature, absolute self-nature. Thus, Vien's true nature is True Likeness, Voidness, Tathagata-nature, Buddha-nature, and Split-body-nature. Mahayana holds that this nature inherent in each of us is our enlightened nature. All sentient beings have Buddha nature. True nature is not born and destroyed, not clean, not increased or decreased, it is the last nature after going through Y tha starting nature and the first is the variable next property. e. Consciousness: is what knows things because our 6 senses are in contact with the 6 worlds outside of us that arise in our brains, This knowledge is the six consciousnesses: eye-consciousness, ear-consciousness, tongue-consciousness, tongue-consciousness, touch-consciousness, and consciousness. That is, it is aware, so it is called consciousness. Consists of 4 properties: 1. The part is the subject of the self, 2. The general is the object of recognition. 3. Self-evidence is the nature of knowing clearly between the subject and the object. 4. The self-evidence part is the final nature of the consciousness which is the second know after the self-evidence part. I know that I know the subject well. This consciousness is our awakening consciousness. f. Consciousness: The part of consciousness, also known as consciousness number 6, is gathered by the first 5 consciousnesses. Knowledge of consciousness consists of 2 properties: Poisoning and Sleeping. Poisoning is meditating, ie thinking loosely, looking at a dream is sleeping and dreaming, knowing in madness, and meditating in concentration. Sleep is the first 5 awakenings that combine them into Consciousness. The last nature of consciousness is to distinguish between self-grasping, which is comparison due to the interference of the self. Consciousness generated by brain waves includes: - DELTA waves (below 4Hz) have the longest duration and occur mostly during deep sleep. - THETA waves (5-8 Hz) are found in many places where children and adults are sleepy, usually at bedtime. - ALPHA wave (8-12 Hz) is a relaxed state of mind, no thoughts. - BETA waves (12-30 Hz) have a fast and low range and are characterized by a busy mind. - GAMMA waves (30-100 Hz) have the highest frequency and are thought to represent the synchronization of different brain regions for performing some cognitive or motor function. g. Manna: Also called transmission consciousness because it rotates between Consciousness into A and Da consciousness. Mona is the cause of reincarnation. And Manna is also the strongest ego-clinging consciousness, which is that we ourselves are attached to A-da's view. Maca has the general part of the ant part A, the skin and the confrontation scene. Manna is also known as the birth sentence, which means that when it was born, it was already brought with it. H. A la da: Also known as the Store consciousness, which contains all the seeds, it is called the storehouse, contains the body and the world around us. The perception of part A consists of the intellect and ability to transform, while the appearance of part A consists of: the world around us and our own body. Our body produces the right reward, and the world around us creates the medical reward. A's own skin can be understood as having many corridors with other people's skins by connecting lines. That's why when the Buddha was enlightened, his first insight was to look into the Buddha's skin to know how many previous lives Buddha did where. The second insight is that thanks to the Buddha's skin Arahant connected with the other people's Alai skin, they know where they were in their previous lives. We have not been enlightened, we cannot see anything in our skin. That place contains the seeds of both organic and unscrupulous seeds. A da da also has the nature of property, self-cherishing, and constant change of seed. The capacity is to contain, the possession is the thing to be contained, the self-cherishing ego is the favorite of the attached ego of the passing Manna. In the end, A has the constant nature of always changing the seed. Consciousness is reasoning should study and practice. In spite of being self-grasping and loving and hating, remembering the past. A da da is just a reservoir, a vast piece of land that holds the seed and is a place for the seed to be born or die, it is a place where the beloved manna clings to it and considers it like a mother born of manna. It is constantly changing the proofs that they change themselves, but it is always the same, it only grows. Alaya is also the basis of consciousness for all consciousnesses that arise from the external world and our bodily faculties. It has the ability to preserve and manifest. A da da is also known as the Consciousness of the Consciousness: the consciousness of the ripeness of the seed. Like the Abhidhamma, it is called the consciousness of life-participation. Also called Necessary Seed. There are three ways of ripening the seed: heterosexuality is based on the time that the seed ripens. Maternal heterogeneity is the change in seed properties and Maternal variation is the change in seed shape. i. Seed: It is the seed that is brought in by all active consciousnesses through the manna and then into the A re-da. The seed has the nature of antagonism: knowledge and transformation, and its part is the world around us and our body. The nature of the seed includes: time, including possession, is available, the new training is new, the leader is growing up and developing into a habit, If this habit is too much, it will automatically work as master. The nature of the seed is afflicted with afflictions and non-smuggling of all afflictions. Causality: The seed that produces the seed means that in store A, the ripe seed will give birth to a new seed. Next, the active seed is the one that emerges like a seed that reveals a sprout. Next to the current existence is the germ of the seed that grows up and grows more and more. The last that is present is the large stem of the plant that produces the seed. That is, the habit of forming new strains. j. Karma: Consists of 3 karmas: body, speech, mind. There are 2 karma results: the main report is the body we report and the medical report is the external warning ceiling. There are four karmas that lead to rebirth: extreme karma, near-death karma, habitual karma, and accumulated karma. k. Auto Variable Additive: Self-mutation is the seed directly related to us and has no attachment to outside us, so it creates special karma. Covariance is having an external relationship with us, so it creates community karma. Self-change leads to the chief report, plus variable leads to medical report. There are 4 properties such as: Pure self-variable, pure covariate, self-variable more than additive, additive more than self-variable. With the result of the combined karma and the special karma, which is more will have its result. By private practice is the family life, then going to see the path is the mind and the ceiling is a non-discriminatory integration and then cultivate into the 10 bodhisattvas and Buddhahood. l. Center of mind: The mind consists of 8 states of mind according to 8 consciousnesses and mental factors. It is a psychological phenomenon of the mind. There are 51 mental factors, divided into 5 types as follows: 5 mind variables, 5 mind special scenes, 11 good minds, 26 unwholesome minds, 4 uncertain minds. m. Impermanent: Impermanence occurs in every form in ten thousand dharmas. Consciousness says that we have to accept that. - Impermanent nature, because it is permanent nature. - Origin is impermanent, because there is birth and death. - Reconstruction is impermanent, because the position changes when it is purified. n. The process of cultivating the Way: the practice formula is to get rid of the variables of attachment and then reflect on Y and others and finally achieve the Truthful Vien. To achieve that goal, we need to go through several stages. The first is to learn the three self-natures of the only consciousness: Variables of attachment, Y to arise, Vien to be honest. When we learn to deeply understand the three stages of the consciousness process, we understand that because of the conditioned phenomena we attach to it give it the name of existence, then contemplate them as conditioned and ultimately Eliminating both of them is really expensive. But we have to understand 4 causes and conditions including: 1. The cause and effect means that the cause needs to be in the middle to produce results. 2. The rise of the predestined condition is that it is necessary to have a new condition for the growth and development of conditions that are favorable or unfavorable. 3. Department of charm is what we love to interfere with the object of the ceiling scene. The last is 4. Uninterrupted condition is the condition for all seeds to grow without interruption. The next step is to change the way that others arise, which is to eliminate the illusion that others arise because that is the mistake we see in everything. After attaining enlightenment, there are four true attainments. Consciousness first achieves the result of becoming a property of five senses, such as supernatural powers such as celestial vision... Consciousness attains Dieu observing wisdom. Manna consciousness attains equality of wisdom, which means that you and others no longer distinguish, always have equal compassion. A re-da to Dai Vien's scene is a scene that is a bright mirror, wide and round, and enlightened. The last consciousness is the White Consciousness, which is great enlightenment, so it is also called the 9th consciousness. What is Consciousness? It is the practice of becoming a Buddha after attaining the ten bodhisattva positions. By private practice is the family life, then going to see the path is the mind and the ceiling is a non-discriminatory integration and then cultivate into the 10 bodhisattvas and Buddhahood. The reality is to change the medical report from the unwholesome to the wholesome, to put the good seed into the Alaya, and then water it to grow. It's all about the practice of consciousness. Transforming unwholesome seeds by contemplation of compassion. The final sentence of the Hoa Nghiem Sutra: The mind is like a painter, the race of the race sleeps warmly. Necessarily the world in, lawless as uncreated. Mind is like a talented painter. Draw all kinds of life. All that is in the world, there is no dharma that it cannot do.
