Forget the Bodhi mind and practice reciting the Buddha's name, it's just bad karma.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
Using the merit of reciting the Buddha's name to seek small blessings in the world, it is not suitable for the Buddha's original, so the practitioner must recite the Buddha's name for the sake of escaping from the cycle of life and death. But if you practice mindfulness for your own liberation, it will only fit the Buddha's nostalgia a little bit. So what is the Buddha's nostalgia, what is the end? The Buddha's true desire is for all sentient beings to be freed from the cycle of birth and death, to be enlightened like him. Therefore, people who recite the Buddha's name need to generate bodhicitta.
Bodhi means Enlightenment. Among them are three levels: Shravaka Bodhi, Pratyekabuddha Bodhi, and Buddha Bodhi. This is only for the enlightenment of the Sravakas, the enlightenment of the Pratyekabuddhas, and the enlightenment of the Buddha. People who recite Buddha's name generate Bodhi mind, that is, generate the mind to seek the Buddha's enlightenment; That ultimate fruition is nothing more than that, transcending both the Pratyekabuddhas and Pratyekabuddhas, so it's called Supreme Bodhi. This mind consists of two main seeds, which are compassion and wisdom, or generate the power to save oneself and all sentient beings.
Bodhicitta is the Supreme Bodhi mind
Unsurpassed Bodhicitta means only for Buddha Bodhi, not shravaka or pratyekabuddha bodhicitta.
The sutras say: "Bodhicitta is the cause, great compassion is the basis, and the means are the end." For example, a person going far, must first identify the goal to come, must be aware of the purpose of the journey for what reason, and finally use a vehicle or car, boat, or plane to start. Cultivators, too, must first take the Supreme Bodhi fruit as their ultimate goal; take great compassion for their own profit as the purpose of practice; and then, depending on the preferences of the base, choose the methods or Zen, or the Pure, or the Tan as a means of practice. Means with a broader meaning, is also the wisdom of the right to change depending on the occasion, applying all the reversible actions while practicing the Bodhisattva path. So Bodhicitta is the goal that needs to be recognized by the practitioner, before starting the practice of cultivation.
In the past, when the Buddha spoke about the Four Noble Truths, he should have said that the First Noble Truth was the cause, but he put the Truth of Suffering in the first place, wanting to make the fruit of suffering visible to sentient beings in order to draw attention. fear, and then look to the original source. In the same way, here, the writer follows the opinion of virtue, first raising the subject of Nembutsu for liberation as an urgent matter, and then discussing the Bodhi mind.
The Flower Adornment Sutra says: "If you forget the Bodhi mind and practice good dharmas, that's demonic karma." This statement is very true. For example, if a person takes a step to depart without knowing where he is going, and with what purpose, the journey will not be roundabout, tiring, and useless? Cultivators too, if they use hard work but forget the goal of becoming a Buddha in order to benefit themselves, then how many good deeds will only result in the enjoyment of human and natural blessings. to endure boundless suffering. So what is not a ghost karma? Then, generating unsurpassed bodhichitta for the benefit of oneself and all sentient beings should be noted as a very important starting point.
How To Fulfill Bodhicitta?
Having generated the Bodhi mind, thinking carefully about the present situation, what means must be used for that mind to be fully accomplished? For the self-benefit of the Bodhi vow to be complete, nothing more than seeking birth in the Pure Land. This is the essential fact that the meditator should note.
An ancient virtuous man, after making a great vow to cultivate, uttered the sentence:
The world, the ultimate in the world.
Who does not recite Amitabha again?
(World, out of thinking change.
Do not reciting Amitabha's wings of remembrance?)
Indeed, when looking through this word, and then thinking and comparing from the method to the foundation and the current situation, the Pure Land practice is the safest and most complete path.
Someone asked: "Having generated the mind to save birth, then you should stay in the Saha world, because there are many suffering beings that need to be saved, why do you seek to be born in the West?"
Please try again: Do you need to have any conditions to do it? Is it necessary to have: merit, wisdom, eloquence, supernatural powers, good general? (And in those respects, do we already have a part?). Just about the point of breaking trouble or to generate wisdom so as not to be fooled by the world, it is not easy! The old virtue said, "Abandoning ants is as difficult as stopping a stream forty miles!". So, what to say to the fourth or, mundane or ignorant?
Views or, to put it simply, are the afflictions that see attachment to the gross; private or afflicted on the subtle part. From immeasurable kalpas up to now, we have trained in our minds the defilements of greed, hatred, and delusion, and countless misunderstandings, whether in a short time of this life we can destroy them all. is it okay? Today's cultivators, most of their blessings are thin and shallow, with only one sentence of Amitabha Buddha, not easy to master in reciting, what to say about the freedom to save birth is a far-fetched thing? Therefore, what is needed in the immediate future is that we should pray to be born in the West, to save ourselves from falling in samsara, to rely on the predestined conditions in that realm to practice diligently. Wait until you get the results, have enough wisdom, eloquence, supernatural powers, and good generals, then you will return to Ta Ba to save birth, then you will have some freedom. However, for the duty and compassion of the practitioner, does not have to completely deny the existence of birth in the present life. But the benefit of the people in our present place, in fact, is only in the context of depending on the circumstances, like a person falling into a delirious stream, just wading ashore, while calling to advise others to wade along.
In order to ensure that the great bodhi mind does not falter and to achieve this satisfaction, not only ordinary people like us, because of the urgent need to solve the immediate problem of birth and death, need to pray for rebirth. But even if you want to enter the profound realm of the Tathagata and fulfill that great vow, you cannot leave the Pure Land.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.25/10/2021.
