II- CHAPTER VAN THUY
Before going into the main part of the sutta, we need to know the levels of enlightenment, in order to have a general concept of the enlightened levels. From there, we can know for ourselves where we are going on the path, avoiding the sometimes disastrous and misleading obstacles that hinder us from learning Buddhism. In fact, the ultimate enlightenment, there is no class, but walking on the road, including the path to liberation, the previous step must be different from the following. In Zen Buddhism, at the beginning there is primary enlightenment, awakening, enlightenment; then come to enlightenment (great enlightenment), enlightenment and finally enlightenment. Here, we also need to learn the three levels of enlightenment according to the Apostolic Church: Awakening, Water Awakening, and Ending Enlightenment.
Awareness : Being enlightened enough in all beings, even though inferior beings, in Buddha do not add but in beings also not less. There are things, sentient beings forget their nature Vien Giac, forever running after the ceiling scene that rolled in the six paths of reincarnation (Tran Hiep Tran); and Buddha left the scene to live in the pure realm of enlightenment (enlightenment), so he is the fully enlightened One. The Mantra also aims to arouse this awareness in every being, so that every being recovers its former function.
Mercury : Water is new, Mercury is the enlightenment to be achieved. We learn the Buddha, practicing according to the Buddha is to achieve water sensation; renunciants for so many years are often discontent, turning their backs on the five desires also to achieve this water sensation. So, the spirit of hydrography is the spirit that needs to cuddle, awake, and live with it. If there is no awakening, there is never a profound insight. He Linh Van for thirty years cherished the sense of restlessness, one day saw cherry blossoms bloom, the water sensation was discovered:
" Three decades of searching for guests,
Ky reciting Diep Ky Chi Chi
Autobossi Miss Universe
Chi Chi is like any doubtful needle".
Provisional translation:
"For the past thirty years, it has been a search for customers.
How long has the leaves fallen with inert branches?
When we saw the peach blossoms
, we have no doubt until today."
Hydrology is a marvelous projection of aura, where there is no seeer and seeer, there is no known and the knowing. When the known and the known are in such a state of enlightenment, the instant of enlightened dawn dawns. From then on, that feeling came into life to benefit all beings. So, for us, the rehabilitation of the hydrography is a very important thing, the great meaning of a religious life; also participating in meditative meditation, capturing mind and body, practicing contemplation ... are just the means to achieve that goal. Meditation is like a process, enlightenment is like the end of that process. The practitioner attains concentration, no matter how deep he is, but he is not enlightened, is still in Hoa Thanh, not Bao So.
Some cultivators do not mistake the means with the end, but mistakenly consider their position and authority as the purpose of their life. This is extremely harmful. Everyone knows that the meaning of renunciation is ordained, ordained and ordained. Here, their initial idea is to gain some benefit of the world, then try to ask, how for the rest of years to be enlightened? While the religious learners need to ask for the ultimate understanding, they have to be awake to explore research, deepen their minds to be ready for the feeling to arise, and luck may be corresponding. On the one hand, the concept of cultivation is to gain something of the world, then it is wrong to turn the corner.
Therefore, the renunciate must have a strong will, earnest heart to light the big deal. Photography, meditation, letting go of thoughts, staying in the present, exercising mindfulness ... are the means. And the ultimate enlightenment, that is the end. Only when we realize it can we effectively influence the minds of others. If there is only concentration without wisdom, then it is called si-concentration. When the Sixth Patriarch Hue Nang heard lectures to the paragraph "Irrespective of the mind being born, Abstaining from the cylinder, flavoring and exposing the senses to birth, and Ung based on the mind of unborn children," He did not dwell on the dharma but also reflected light. magic all over, samadhi and wisdom simultaneously arise. This is called Dinh - Hue constant maintenance, ie instant Hue, is the nature of the nature and the wisdom of nature. The supreme spirit is like that.
When the sensation arises, one will receive in an instant the moment containing eternity, Mount Tu Di in the mustard seed. Conception of time and space naturally consumed. We have just seen that time and space are only the offspring of delusion, but that our mind and body, including the external dhammas, arise from time and space; We have been misled for all for a long time, so we hang around in the forest of ignorance. Now, the feeling of burning, ignorance will forever retreat; a lamp was lit, the house of eternal darkness was instantly illuminated. Our life began to transform, outside we are still like ordinary people, but inside contains the extraordinary. The Buddha was also a human being, eating and drinking like everyone else, but because he was in the nature of Vien Giac, he was free of disturbing emotions, his life was peaceful and manifested the six pure bases,
* Ending the path of enlightenment: When we have had the senses, we still have to continue the path of austerities, but cultivate by useless virtue to reach the end of the path. This means that, when we recover from the senses of water, we have to practice Bodhisattva in many lifetimes to fulfill our merits and attain Buddhahood. So, we should not think of Zen masters, when they have become instantaneous like Buddha. Understanding nature is just a virtue of spiritual practice, is to realize that your Buddha nature is equal to that of Buddha, so that you have a firm belief, and from then on, you will practice spiritually, cleansing the air until enlightenment is complete .
" At that time, in mass, Bodhisattva Van Manjushri immediately stood up from his seat, prostrated at the feet of the Buddha, walked around to the right three rounds, knelt and clasped his hands and said," Buddha. ! Hoping for him because of the dharma coming to this assembly, we talk about the pure and arduous conduct of Tathagata; and talk about the Bodhisattva goods in the Mahayana mind, pure serenity away from diseases, can cause sentient beings to endure in the future of Mahayana dharma, not falling into wrong view. " After saying this, the five stalks sown into the ground, repeating itself three times.
At that time, the Blessed One told Bodhisattva Van Manjushri, "Heal instead! Heal instead! Hey Thien nam son! The new he can because of the Bodhisattva to ask for legal conduct in the place of Tathagata, and for all sentient beings to pray for Mahayana dharma, to be the chief abbot, not to be deviant. Listen, I will speak for you. ”
At that time, the Bodhisattva Manjushri was glad to obey the teachings, and listen carefully to the audience.
“Hey Thien nam son! The supreme Dharma King has the discourse of Dai Da La Ni, called Vien Giac, which saves all the pure, chon-dharma, Bodhi, Nirvana, and the Paramita dharma to teach the Bodhisattva's goods. All of the primordial deities of Tathagata rely on Vien-projection of this Prime Minister, and the constant ignorance of the Buddha into Buddhism.
What is ignorance? -This is a good boy, son! All sentient beings from beginningless time to now, suffering from many crazy things like an enchanter, seeing the four directions change places, expect to receive the four elements as generals of self, the six bare conditions as the appearance of self-consciousness, like any other being I gazed at the sight of dotted flowers in the sky and the second moon.
Hey Thien nam son! In vain, there really are no flowers, but because of sickness, that is acceptable Because of expectations accept, should not only the nature of this nowhere, but also in the real void of flowers. Because of this there is hope in the flow of samsara, so called ignorance.
Hey Thien nam son! This ignorance is not real. As a dreamer, when dreaming is not it, when it comes to awakening it is clearly nothing. As the spotted flower in vain, can not say certain places have cessation. Why? - Because there is no place of birth. All beings that are in the form of non-being that expect to see birth and death will disappear, so it is said that the flow of birth and death.
Hey Thien nam son! Tathagata when the monk's place in Vien Giac, knowing that no flowers are not immediately transferred, nor body and mind to receive the other birth and death. Not artifact should not, but the capital nature is not. The perception is just like nothingness, knowing the emptiness means that the flower is not flower, but it cannot be said that it has no perception. Yes - There is no eradication, it is called Depending upon the Awareness.
Because of that? -Because emptiness, which is usually immobile, in the Tathagata Museum has no arising and passing, no knowledge, so it is like the Dharma Precepts for the fullness of the ten directions.
It is called Nhon-ge-french-conduct. Bodhisattva multiplication here, in Mahayana pure mind; sentient beings who take refuge in this life do not fall into wrong view ”.
At that time, the Blessed One wanted to duplicate this meaning and said,
Manjushri should know!
All Germany Tathagata,
From where Obligation-multiplication-location,
Are using wisdom,
Willow achieved ignorance.
Knowing it like no flowers,
Lien was saved from circulation.
Like a dreamer,
When you wake up you don't see anything.
Knowing as nothingness,
Equality does not move.
Knowing throughout the ten realms,
Lien became a Buddhist religion,
The illusory illusions did not exist,
The enlightenment was also impossible,
Because of the perfect nature.
Bodhisattva in this,
Or play Bodhi mind,
Beings in life,
Nuong from evil ties!
Why did Manjushri appear first of the 12 Bodhisattvas? - We should know, Bodhisattva Van Man represents Basic-base-position, Chon-location, True-location. Basic-mind-wise is speechless, but from this pointless language understands all languages. The principal of Vien Giac business is also referring to the Basic mind. The Buddha, depending on the kindness of His Excellency Van Man, immediately went straight to the point of not crooked, not class. The Buddha wanted to point directly to the Bodhisattvas and sentient beings to realize their own Vien Giac mind, which in the sutta called Nhon-geography-conduct of Tathagata. Before recognizing nature Vien Giac, then initiating, can become a Buddhist director. Thus, we clearly see that Vien Giac suttas belong to the Mahayana school, which chapter Van Man can say is the basis for the whole sutta.
" At that time, in mass, Bodhisattva Manjushri immediately stood up from his seat ": Bodhisattva Manjushri in the mass stood up, that is, from the place of the unified, immovable language that Can- the mind-set kicked up. The masses here consist of the great Bodhisattvas and their retinue, so saying "mass" is a sign of purity. Again, the person who speaks the dharma is Buddha, where the dharma saying is the pure land, so it is also symbolic images of the pure unity. Bodhisattva Manjushri, because of the Bodhisattva's goods and sentient beings, should start the great position, great compassion, great vow, get up to ask the Chief Justice of the Buddhist monk; This represents the magic of Vien Giac nature.
"... prostration at the foot of the Buddha" : According to common sense, the top of the head is a place of honor, and the foot is a convenient place. Take the wealthy ceremony, pay homage to the means, you are inconvenient, this is the second reason, from Vien Giac position to release.
" Go around the right three rounds, kneeling long, white Buddha that" : Of the 32 good generals of Buddha, one is his hair twisted to the right; therefore, the right is considered to be positive. "Going around to the right" refers to the legal disposition. The "three rounds" represent the time for cultivating the three great A-rising period of the bodhisattvas, from recognizing the nature of Giac Vien to the attainment of Buddhahood. This is a symbolic number, telling of how long and countless lifetimes of the Bodhisattvas, when volunteering and having to vow to go into the Six Paths to educate sentient beings (enlightenment), then they will be fully satisfied .
" The great Buddha World Religion! Hoping for him because of the dharma coming here, we are talking about Tanh-ge-happy-pure-origin of Tathagata ” : The Dharma here includes the great Bodhisattvas and their kin. The duty of initiation is the first arising mind, which is Bodhicitta. Bodhicitta is only in Mahayana Bodhisattva goods. Italy Bodhisattva Manjushri wants to invite the Buddha to clarify the Chief Justice of the Tathagata, to show the truth and to make the standard to generate the mind for the Mahayana Bodhisattvas.
"... And talking about the Bodhisattva goods in the Mahayana mind, pure serenity away from diseases ": Bodhisattvas in Mahayana are Bodhisattvas who dislike the method, want to be pointed out the ultimate method attain Buddhahood. "Pure mind" is the place where the Buddha's Dharma realms that generate Bodhicitta. "Diseases" refer to obstructions on the path of enlightenment, born of knowledge and from the improper Dharma practice. This is the second problem that Mr. Van Man wants to ask the Buddha, the Mahayana Bodhisattvas have made a pure mind, how to get rid of the diseases, to achieve the ultimate end.
" ... Can cause sentient beings to die in the future of the Mahayana Dharma, not falling into wrong view ": Mr. Manjushri not only for the dharma of them but also for the beings in the next life to ask the Buddha . This shows that his kindness is very passionate.
" After saying, five stature sown to the ground, repeated so three times ": Five stature is the forehead, hands and knees. Mr. Manjushri bowed to the Buddha and asked the Buddha so sometimes three times.
" At that time, the Buddha told the Bodhisattva Manjushri, saying" instead! Heal instead! Hey Thien nam son! The new he could because of the Bodhisattva that asked France-conduct in the venue of the Tathagata, and for all sentient beings in the life of the Mahayana Dharma, who is the chief abbot, doesn't get lost in the wrong view. Listen, I will speak for youThis is the Buddha's vow to answer the question of the Bodhisattva Manjushri. “Heal instead! Heal instead! ” is a compliment of the Buddha, repeated twice to strengthen the compliment, because what Mr. Van Man would like to say is very polite and unreasonable. The word "Chief abbot" has two meanings: In the first sense, Head is the royal legal office (abiding in the legal king), Tri is the Tathagata (preserving the Tathagata treasure). The second meaning is to practice according to the Dharma to remain and preserve the nature of Vien Giac. Only the chief abbot will not fall into the wrong view.
" At that time, the Bodhisattva Manjushri was happy to obey the teachings, and listened carefully to the masses ": Mr. Manjushri and all the masses had all their predestined relationships, put all their energy into listening to the Buddha's words. teach. This is listening in the sense of slang to listen to the dharma, without the listener and the object being listened to.
“ Hey Thien nam son! The Supreme King has the subject of Da-la-ni, called Vien-Giac": The Buddha's first answer went straight to the core of the supreme vehicle, no crooked, no-class. "Dharma King" is the dharma king, because the Buddha mastered all the dharmas, with regard to the dharmas being free. "Supreme" because this fruit is a Buddha, there is no more fruit. Buddha was enlightened Vien Giac should introduce Dai Da-la-ni called Vien Giac. In the Mahayana canon, the word "Da-la-ni" is often mentioned. Dai Da-la-ni, Chinese-translated Chinese is General Tri. Great is great; General is regent, boss contains all the dharma, there is no dharma outside it; Tri is preserving. Thus Da-la-ni Vien Giac, general photographer and preserve all the law, is the fulcrum of all things. Beings and all things are available enough of this Vien Giac nature, because without Vien Giac nature, all cannot exist. When enlightenment is realized and fully cultivated, My understanding will cover ten directions. Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara thanks to this Da-la-ni should improvise natural capital, natural eyes, depending on the mind of beings that embody salvation. It can be said that this Da-la-ni total photographer eighty-four thousand Da-la-ni such as Van Tri Da-la-ni, Da-lam-ni-ni ... All levels have paragraph or chon , which means the fruits located in the Da-la-ni, if not yet realized the nature of its own nature, ie Vien Giac, is not fullness enlightenment.
"... save all the pure dharma, Chon as, Bodhi, Nirvana, and the Paramita to teach the Bodhisattva goods" : This is an important characteristic of the nature of Vien Giac. Why can Vien Giac save all the pure dhammas, Chon as, Bodhi, Nirvana, and the paramitas? - Because every word comes from the Buddha's enlightenment, when Buddha Enlightenment enlightens Vien Giac, he understands all the disciplines thoroughly. A practitioner according to Mahayana, if enlightened nature, Vien Giac, then their vitality is the experience of realization, internal control, no one can possess. Zen Meditation enlightenment goes directly to this mind without verbal communication; then from that realization that into the vigorous vitality, spread to beings. On the one hand, it is incompatible with words, and on the other hand, the linguistics of Zen Buddhism is more numerous than the other sects.
The intention of the Buddha here, is to introduce the masses in the assembly and for sentient beings to realize their own Vien Giac nature, thereby making him the chief monk to cultivate, thereby initiating the six continents Paramita. What is the topography of Paramita? Ba-la-secret is Sanskrit, Chinese-Chinese translation is the "bank of the bank," that is to cross the other shore, from the shore of delusion of ordinary women jump one step through the enlightened shore of Buddha. Six degrees include alms, Tri, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom. If the continent without the Paramita is no longer the ultimate meaning of the Mahayana, because the spirit of the Paramita makes the crystal of the Bodhisattva, makes up the great aspiration of the Bodhisattva, is the practice of Mahayana Bodhisattva. It can be said, Ba-la-honey is the secret, is great behavior of the Bodhisattva whether the Bodhisattva is happy or happy. Why? - Because the meaning of the Paramita is to reach without, first, immaculate, immaculate; take place without a privilege, without possession of which directing. The level of birth of a Bodhisattva is not counting the work, not accepting the four generals (falls, multiplication, beings, false life); do like a ball across a river, though the image is under water but it has no intention of marking, just like water does not have the mind to hold the image:
Swallow too long no
picture Bass welded water
Swallow countless relics spent
Thuy saved mind images.
This is the onions.
" All the primordial deities of Tathagata depend on Vien purifying this enlightenment and constantly ignorance and becoming Buddhahood" : Not only do the Bodhisattva rows transmit the dharma sūtras emanating from Vien Giac nature, but immediately Chief Justice of the Buddha's austerities also rely on Vien Giac to constant ignorance. So where is the difference of Buddha's ignorance from being? - Buddha realized the nature of Vien Giac first, then cultivated, that is, from the inside. Enlightenment then tu, enlightenment and then the nature of ignorance so ignorance is constant without recurring. This is also the spirit of Zen Meditation enlightenment, enlightenment or initiation for enlightenment. As for us, not yet aware of our own nature, so the path of practice is often slumped, ignorance of negativity goes on.
“ What is ignorance? ”: Ignorance is understood in many ways. There are places that say Ignorance is not real recognition of all things; There is a saying that Ignorance is the attachment to the five aggregates, which are true. Here, Buddha explains:
“ Hey Thien nam son! All sentient beings from beginningless time to now, suffering from a lot of crazy things like an enchanter, seeing the four directions changing places, hoping to receive the four elements as generals of self, six images of grace as generals of self-consciousness ” : Buddha said, basic ignorance is due to beings from beginninglessness, being crazy things forget the sense of identity, running after the scene, like a deluded aisle. The image borrowed to describe ignorance is the image of a man in the wrong direction, like a person on a boat who sees the shore running, clouds flying over the moon. This is a wrong view, so it is called crazy.
"See the four directions change places ": Four directions refer to the four elements: earth - water - wind - fire. Buddha told sentient beings delusion, hoping to receive the four elements is me, my self and mine. This is the first ignorance. In fact, the four great energy created (earth, water, wind, outside fire) or the four great creation (earth, water, wind, fire in the body), are just predestined fusion. This body was created by borrowing from the four elements outside, but what's true to me?
The second ignorance is expected to receive the six bare predestined images as generals of self-interest. Let us consider for ourselves, is the whimsical mind dependent on the appearance of the six mortals? When we see color, that color stores the image in our mind, then arises to love and hate; when hearing the sound, that voice also lingers in the mind ... The names of the past have passed away, becoming the seeds within the mind, and we expect to receive those seeds of birth and death as our own hearts. In fact, they are just the outer ones that affect the mind and save the image, they are arising and falling away.
Thus, the body is created by the four elements, the mind is the shadow of the six elements, so without the four elements, there is no body, and without the six elements, there is no mind. Try asking, whose body and mind is this? In the Zen house, there is a koan "Nga thobe? " - Who am I?. When we understand who we are, then we will see the nature of Giac Vien appears. However, one thing to note, if you think that Vien Giac nature is the object to see, it is not your own nature. Because the nature of Enlightenment is not an object of awareness, but the object of knowing, it is the knowing itself. So, bringing the Know to know the Knowing, is a big mistake.
"... it's like a person with a gaze on a blind eye wandering in the sky and a second moon": Spotted flowers in vain are a very good picture to describe the misunderstanding of beings, which seem to mention all the Mahayana sutras. Another image, is the second moon. In fact, there are spotted flowers in nowhere, and there is only one moon in the sky; Because my eyes were so numb. Want not to see wrong, to treat diseases in the eyes. Spotted flowers die, the second moon disappears when the eyes are gone. So are they real? - They have never been born, so they have never died. It is just illusory, illusory, because in fact they have never been killed, due to the eye disease that sees them having that being there. Also, our body and mind are predestined to have, just illusory being illusory. When they became enlightened, they should clearly live in life like playing, making Buddha like playing and dying just like playing.
“ Hey Thien nam son! In vain, there really are no flowers, but because of sickness, hope is for that. Because of expectations accept, should not only the nature of this nowhere, but also in the real void of flowers. Because here is expected to flow in samsara, it is called ignorance ”: Here, the Buddha points out the three misdeeds of sentient beings: firstly, there is true flower; second, hoping to have spotted flowers that forget the nature of nothingness; Third, false in nowhere really born flowers. Also, from beginningless time, sentient beings to accept this four elements are real, this wandering thought is real, forgetting Vien Giac's own nature. From there, expectation has a flow in samsara, because expectations accept real birth and death. It is called ignorance.
“ Hey Thien nam son! This ignorance is not real. Like a dreamer, when dreaming is not it, there is clearly nothing at the time of awakening ”: Because ignorance has no substance, when direct awareness of awareness, immediately ignorance disappears without saying to practice how. For example, in a dreamer, in a dream, the scene of the scene is real, until you wake up, you have absolutely nothing. Thus, ignorance and enlightenment are separated by only one moment, as when dreaming versus waking up. The Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, awakened by a school of dreams, sees the five aggregates are not, thanks to the wisdom of Prajna, has overcome all suffering. From there, he manifested the manifestations to save all beings.
" Like the spotted flowers in vain, can not say there is definitely a place to kill. Why? - Because there is no place of birth": Because of" no place of birth ", but in the Middle-discourse, from beginning to end, we deny neither samsara nor nirvana, neither afflictions nor Bodhi ... This Bat-real-Chinese, the break of this Bat elegant, is extremely negative; but behind that extreme negativity opened up a new horizon. That goes beyond language, beyond reasoning. Therefore, the duty of the Prajna scriptures is to break all attachments, even if there is Nirvana; to distinguish split consciousness, expectation of his thoughts recede, natural nature Vien Giac current money! How to get to this place? - Only when we end all the grace, a corresponding thought, then forever we are right here and now. Permanently in the present moment, we will see the dharma that has never been eradicated, will understand the spirit of non-birth. He of the Hezexia Church said: "Infinite thoughts, that is noteworthy, such as being unconstitutional, that means being born". Mindfulness is not kill thoughts, but willow is not expected memories, right there to remove all traces, righteous thoughts such as legs. Infertility is also not destroying the dharma, but in the birth place, realizing birthlessness, right where the generals are, is real. This is the lively, magical spirit of Mahayana Buddhism, knowing that this permanent nature is dynamic, so that it is right in the cave where enlightenment is in place, which in the cave benefits the living beings. They live in the operation of delusion, even in the arising and passing of delusion, but enlightenment, not crush or eliminate delusion. If crushed delusions, ie misunderstandings Tanh is static; You risk your life and die in water. Zen people call it a demon cave, is the Sa-rising cave to the scene from the tu tu fall into the calm of Nirvana Chemistry that rot degrees of birth. Therefore, that is why the Mahayana does not accept the Hinayana's way of understanding, practicing, and practicing. Because Hinayana understands the nature of dharma as being static, naturally arising negativity, drowning in that quiet place. And Mahayana dharma nature is dynamic so it does not eradicate compounded property, nor enters infinitely (endless property, immeasurable cylinder). The personality of the Mahayana Bodhisattva manifests great power, pronouns, great aspirations, and eternity in samsara, and beings, permanently in samsara, and realizing Nirvana. And Mahayana dharma nature is dynamic so it does not eradicate compounded property, nor enters infinitely (endless property, immeasurable cylinder). The personality of the Mahayana Bodhisattva manifests great power, pronouns, great aspirations, and eternity in samsara, while being, forever in samsara, and realizing Nirvana.
" All beings that are in the form of non-being are expecting to see birth and death, so it is said that the flow of birth and death": Sometimes in the soaring thought of the Mahayana sutras, it is said," Beings have become Buddha "- Having become, not becoming. Hearing that, suddenly I feel sorry for me! Buddha seeds are already there, because of an unconscious thought that becomes sentient beings, just like the sea because of the wind, so the waves rebellion. Because I received the wave so I forgot the sea. We can say "Wave is water", as long as the wave recognizes it as water, that's enough. So they said, without raising their feet, the Buddha of the ten directions appeared before his eyes. If you love, see there is being killed, then move in the three realms of the six paths. When enlightened, it is clear that life and death exist only in illusion; Since then, all grace, all the concepts of discrimination, in the dual disciplines, everywhere is the Pure Land.
“ Hey Thien nam son! Tathagata, when he was still at the enlightenment place in Vien Giac, knew that no flowers would not flow, nor would he have body and mind to receive the other birth and death ”: This is the most important sentence in this chapter, the most important one. in the whole text. "Tri market does not flow instantaneously flower, herons invisible mind life being born". This sentence clearly indicates the Chief Justice of the Buddha, a religious practice.
Nhon tu tu tu where Vien Giac of Tathagata is just need to know all things like flower spotting in the middle of nowhere, without being circulated in samsara. Here, Buddha uses only one word. Do we know that? We know by conceptualization, by reasoning, by thinking, by discrimination, so that knowledge is still outside. The Buddha's Knowing is knowing intuitively, there is no knowing and the known, knowing without mediating inference. A sense of awareness arises, ignorance thousand lives immediately retreated, and forever in his nature. Zen people call it knowledge.
Referring to the Satipa Thiền Niệmhāna Sutta, we also see that the whole sutta uses only the Knowledge, called Knowledge. In the four areas of body, feeling, mind, and dharma, the Buddha taught wisdom. The implication of the sutta refers to the Ordinary Knowledge, but because the four foundations of mindfulness are in the classics of Theravada Buddhism, this word is not used. Thus, it is clear that the land of Tathagata is very simple, accomplishing just know all things are illusory, that's all. And eighty-four thousand Buddha's disciplines are just a means, depending on the level of each person's basic ability to choose the appropriate practice for him.
" It is not an artifact, so it is not an inherent nature ": "No" here is not due to an artifact that becomes emptiness , but emptiness, Chon No. This is the empty of Bat Nha intuition, seeing the source of the dharma realizing the emptiness of all things. This emptiness is not due to analysis, but to emptiness, it is by intuition that straightness of phenomena is not. Temporarily speaking thanks to intuition to see emptiness, but actually, emptiness is also intuition. Because it fuses between the known and the known. So say "The nature is not". The spirit of "One-sided" is not created by artifact, but only when the dawn of enlightenment flashes, naturally penetrates the nature of all things. Luc To taught: "The nature that is inherent in nature, the nature that is inherently self-determined," and that is the nature of the nature itself.
“ That perception is like nothingness, knowing that nothingness is a formless flower, but it cannot be said that it has no Awareness. Yes - Unequally eradicated, it is called Sui-Thuan-sensory : Normally we understand, there is a "nothing" and there is a "perception of that nothing", thus distinguishing one from being knowing is "nothing" and knowing is "perception ..." Understanding that is wrong. This perception is like nothingness, so it is not. Nowhere is nothing, and that unknown is also not. In other words, "emptiness" is not, but the "knowing emptiness" is also not always. Neither did the department nor. This means that "The end is not", the subject is not, the object is not, the gift is not, the mind is not, everything is ultimately nothing.
However, if ultimately it is not, then what does Buddha want to say? Beings often take one side, when they hear "No", they cling to cessation, so the Buddha affirmed about the nature of body and mind and of all things: "... but also cannot say it is not sensible ”. That is, the end is not, but that awareness is always permanent, called willow willow. When Hue Hui presented to the Bodhidharma Patriarch, "I have overcome all conditions," the Patriarch said, "Watch out for nothing." He said, "Obviously often know, say can not come." The seal sealed for him: "You were like that, so am I", because he ultimately did not, but there was still a "clearly known, said impossible."
One more thing to emphasize: When there is delusion we call it Yes; when not expecting to be called No. And the known Yes - No, that knowing subject without being attached to the knowing, is always eternal. That is awareness. Thus, if there is no attachment to yes and no delusion, nor is there an attachment to the knowing Yes - No which always maintains the Self-Knowing Self-Nature, which is called Purification of Enlightenment or Custom of Enlightenment. At present, the Venerable Abbot of the Truc Lam Zen Monastery reconciles Zen Buddhism in Vietnam. He also has the intention of going directly to the nature. And "Knowing hope not to follow" is a means of spiritual practice. When there is no mistaken delusion, you will realize the other nature without doubt.
“ Because of that? - Because the emptiness is usually immobile, in the Tathagata Museum, there is no arising and passing, and no knowledge ": Do we see this contradiction here? Earlier, Buddha told "There is awareness", now he says "there is no perception". We see clearly that human language is difficult to describe this ultimate truth. We should understand this passage which means that in the Tathagata store there is no seeing which arises and falls, but there is still the knowing which doesn't arise. Buddha sometimes uses the negative form to affirm the ultimate reality; and sometimes say sometimes not to eliminate the attachment of sentient beings only.
"... so it should be like the Dharma Precepts for the fullness of the ten directions ". Nature as France, covering the ten directions, no limits. For example, a wave floating on the surface of the sea, if you realize that you are water then right there, it is the sea. Wetness is the common being of all waves, no matter where they are, so say "all ten directions".
A special point to note: When a person is enlightened, his being is in accord with the body of the ten Buddhas, but his knowing is not in agreement with the knowing of all. Although being equal with the Buddhas in their own nature, each of them has a specific knowing; on the contrary, although each person is in his or her own, one spot can accommodate all. For example, many lights are in the same room, but the light is the same but each one is different. This is the spirit All is one, one is all. So, in the private there is a common, but in the common there is also a private, who enlightenment is synonymous with the Buddhas, who is not enlightened is still beings.
“It is called Nhon-geography-conduct. Bodhisattva multiplication here, in the Mahayana Dharma pure mind; sentient beings who live here rely on religious practice to not fall into wrong views ”: At the end of the answer, the Buddha taught that: Nhon-geography-conduct of Tathagata is the nature of Enlightenment of Enlightenment ready enough of oneself. Bodhisattva y on that basis to generate pure mind, that is the Chief Justice practice. Sentient beings of the same life in this pure form of enlightenment and initiation will not fall into wrong view.
" At that time, the Buddha wanted to rephrase this meaning and say:
Van Man, he should know!
All the Tathagata
from where Deity-multiplication
-Use use wisdom
Hue will gain ignorance ".
The Buddhas of the ten directions, together, lived in the same place that Vien Giac cultivated himself. Thanks to Vien Giac nature that smoothly, willow achieve ignorance. Aspiration, frustration - We need to understand this place thoroughly. "Willow" means understanding the nature of delusion by the intuition of Bat Nha. Hope is the known, the willow is expected to be known. When intuition knows directly into the known, when the delusion arises and falls away, the intuition senses into the delusion, at the very operation of delusion that captures the truly truthful reality lying right there, then naturally disappointed feet, the known lies right where the know, no need to eliminate anything anymore. The spirit of willfulness and despair is the most like between the known and the known, the spirit of Zen.
" Knowing it is like no flowers,
Instant from circulation.
Like a dreamer,
When you wake up you don't see anything.
Knowing as nothingness,
Equality does not move.
Knowing throughout the ten realms,
Lien became a Buddhist religion ”.
Here, we become more and more aware of the Knowledge in the Mahayana sutras far different from that of the Hinayana. This is the Knowing Boss all over France, throughout the ten directions, according to the willow spirit of Mahayana.
" The illusory extermination is not where
enlightenment nor,
Because of the fullness of nature."
It sounds contradictory, right? - Why can't the Buddha say enlightenment? - Normally, we understand that enlightenment is a virtue to attain enlightenment and that there is a Buddha to witness. But if there is a religion to be successful, then it is a relative religion, because having a city is corrupt. Therefore, if in the sutta there is the word "enlightenment", it is only a temporary use of the word to indicate the return of one's own Enlightened Mind Enlightenment, which is already available for a long time. Self-nature which is full, before forgetting the nature to run after the ceiling should be sentient beings, now receiving back Vien Giac nature sees fullness like Buddhas. Therefore, saying "not enlightened" means that there is no enlightened person and no religious person to succeed.
"The Bodhisattva is in here,
or he develops Bodhicitta.
Beings in life,
Miss here out of evil! ”
Why in the personality of the Bodhisattvas, often speaking of generating Bodhicitta? - The Bodhi mind of a Bodhisattva is the mind that needs the ultimate enlightenment, and then educates sentient beings (Pray for Buddhism, lowers them). The one who makes the Mind of Bodhi is to revive a burning desire to achieve absolute truth, including the zeal in a fervent and uninterrupted manner. The one who generates the Bodhicitta, though not fully enlightened, has at least once received his own nature, in order to have a strong belief that all sentient beings, even inferior animals, have Buddha nature is the same. From that belief, the Bodhisattva vows to save sentient beings, equality without discrimination. This is the personality, the crystal of the Mahayana Bodhisattva, because this enlightenment is the ultimate enlightenment, this merit is greatness and happiness. Mahayana sutras erect images of Bodhisattvas amplifying freedom; beings suffer more and more, Bodhisattva rolls into life to save sentient beings throughout the world, but never enter Nirvana. The more Bodhisattvas sow, the more they cultivate sentient beings, the more surrounding their relatives are.
In terms of content, Bodhicitta has three important characteristics. One is the will to devote. The two are great love. Ba is the superior intellect. The will to devote is the spirit of tireless service, devoting one's whole life to the great festival, because of the great practice: This is the Great Hero and the Great Power. Great love is a generous love for all sentient beings in an equal, unlimited, undifferentiated way: This is Pronoun, Great Compassion. The supreme wisdom is the enlightenment of Vien Giac nature, realizing that the Buddha nature is permanent and that he is a practitioner; The bodhisattva transcends all duality, all dualistic ideas, all time and space: This is the Great Enlightenment.
One thing we need to remember, the ultimate enlightenment can never be achieved by the monk, but can only recognize the ordinary foot in the blink of an eye, an instant. Enlightenment is the result of intuition, not reasoning, of a gradual progression of consciousness. As long as there is still clinging to consciousness, there is still an obstacle on the path to ultimate enlightenment, which only forms superficial concepts outside things.
Studying Mahayana scriptures, we find that the personality of the Bodhisattva is very different from the spirit of the A-Ham Sutta. The Hinayana emphasizes the result of Arahant, one who desires to eradicate and eradicate ego to liberate oneself. Mahayana Bodhisattva on the one hand strives toward absolute enlightenment; on the other hand, always willing to sacrifice himself to benefit all beings. The Bodhisattva's happiness, therefore, is more vast, the higher enlightenment, and the supernatural will than the Arahants. So, referring to the enlightenment of the Bodhisattva is the Great Enlightenment, talking about the will is the Great Will, talking about love and the wish to be born is Great Compassion, Great Compassion, Great Prayer. We learn the Mahayana sutras, so we use that as a basis for enlightenment in our minds to be able to understand the profound meaning of the sutras and the weak points of Zen Buddhism.
One more thing, if we pay attention, we will see that the Buddha often refers to illusory images, dreams, shadows in the mirror ... Mostly of the Buddha let us understand that living is illusory life, death is also death in illusory dream, which when waking up to know that life and death is just a dream last night, only in illusion. All dhammas are not, because it has no substance. Modern science has gone into the extreme nature of the object, proving that all things are not homogeneous, but rather a collection of other constituent structures. Buddhism was a long way ahead of science, because since 2500 years ago, Buddha had theoretical interdependent origination, and the Mahayana sutras took that to build the illusory spirit of all things.
In short, the chapter of Manjushri we have just examined is the most important chapter in the Enlightened Sutta. In this chapter, there are two special points to note: One is talking about the Tathagata of the Dharma Land of the Tathagata to be the standard, the righteous monk to attain ultimate enlightenment. Secondly, talking about the Bodhisattva rows that generate bodhicitta, and all sentient beings, how to get rid of diseases and not fall into wrong views. These two points cover all the meanings of the following chapters, so we understand the Manjushri chapter, we can understand the basic part of the entire Enlightenment Sutta.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.26/5/2020.
