Ratthapala

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Ratthapàla Sutta - On Ratthapàla .

The story of a young man who goes forth into homelessness against the wishes of his parents and later returns to visit them.

About Ratthapàla .

The story of a young man resisting his parents' wishes  to become a monk, and then returning to visit his parents.

II. SUMMARY

When the Buddha  came to give a sermon in Thullakotthita town, a rich son, Ratthapàla asked his parents to follow the Buddha's ordination . Ratthapàla's parents did not allow him to go on a hunger strike, so his parents forced their consent. Ratthapàla  was ordained, taking the great precepts [1]. Soon he attained Arhat [2]. After witnessing results, venerable Ratthap àla asked the Buddha to go home to visit his parents.

When about  to l Ang old, Ratthapala sequential alms  to nh à parents. The father did not realize so reviled scare  chase, thought the people n ày  e ã make their children leave home  to go. When the venerable left, seeing the servant and girl bring porridge [3] to pour, he told him to pour it into his bowl. The maid  approached to pour out the porridge, realizing the young master went to report. Grandparents ran out, said: "Oh, you do [4] ... why are you sitting  there eating porridge and not  going to your house?" The false religion said that he was not at home, he went  to beg for alms, but only received scolding. Then he accepted the invitation of his parents the next day to eat.

The father prepares to  welcome the false religious, piles up gold and silver wealth in a  pile, covers it with a mask; and told the ex-wives of the venerable monk to adorn them with splendid decorations  When Venerable v rushing home, he just  pile v Ang false religions that recommend Please defrocked religious home, doing good charity. The venerable recommends  pouring all down the river, v ì  that l à source of sorrow for the home. Successor  to, the b à wife  go out to hug the foot Venerable m à asked it because passion goddess should  monk to be l Israel  there. Sun fake said my dear sister, not for the  purpose of birth but impoverished monastic ordination. Then the bWell, my ex-wife said that my husband now calls me with my older sister. False religion says the owner wants to give  food, then please serve it, do not bother him. The father invited him to  eat.

After eating, the audience read a verse  about the uncleanness, suffering, impermanence of the body, but it was adorned [5] to deceive the fool. Then ng Ai  goes v rushing king's forest  to lunch. King Koravya heard the venerable [6] returning, so he let the visiting carriage win  When meeting the false religion, the king asked the people about the four depravity but  go to practice, being old, senile, ill, talented, body failure. Now, false religion does not have four of these, then the reason why renunciation. The false religion  responded to the four  points of doctrine of the Buddha:

1. Impermanent world,  go to destruction [7],
2. No householder [8],
3. No property [9],
4. Always lack of desire [10].

The King was very happy with the explanation of the Venerable.

III. NOTE

1. Buddha announced this position is most of the monastics with confidence, because he  e ã suicide ready  to be a parent allows a monk. There are his poems in Presbyterian verse 769-93.

2. Although the sutra says "Not long", but according to the Sutra, it takes 12 years for Lai Tra Hoa La to attain Arahant. This seems  true when we consider the fact that his father did not recognize him when he had just returned.

3.  àbhidosikam kummàsam , Nanamoli translates  kummàsam  as bread, but  here it is clear that it has only one  liquid food. According to the sutras, this food is made of barley.

4. The father wanted to say, Dear son, we have possessions, not the destitute; Yet, I sit and  eat porridge here in a place like this. However, because he was so  sad he couldn't finish his sentence.

5. The verse clearly refers to ex-wives with beautiful jewelry  to seduce profanity. A  strange thing , before he left home, he did not say anything  about his wife.

6.  fear : Referring  to false religions, the king extolled ng kind to  e ình spirit that the young  e ã working hard to do, is to give a major asset that out  going, last not retreat nor nh Print both sides.

7.  upanìyati loko addhuvo . Bibles: The world was swept towards death.

8.  attàno loko anabhissaro . Sutras: no one can give it a place to shelter or comfort it with a hiding place. This word of course does not deny a refuge from secularism, that is, what magic  brings.

1. People of any class [2] when they have many properties,  can hire people of the other three classes to serve .

2. People of all 4 classes, if committing the ten unwholesome,  will be depraved irrespective of: peer in the life of evil.

Bodhi  prince

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Bodhiràjakumàra Sutta - To Prince Bodhi .

The Buddha counters the claim that pleasure is to gained through pain with an account of his own quest for enlightenment.

Tell Prince Bo  threads .

The Buddha rejected the claim that happiness was  obtained through suffering, by recounting his own quest for enlightenment .

II. SUMMARY

To inaugurate the new building, King Bodhi  [1] invited the Buddha to take his life. He spread a new roll of cloth, invited the Buddha to stomp for him to  be blessed. Buddha is silent [2]. When the prince spoke for the third time, the Buddha looked at the false Buddha A nan. Religion, my prince, please clean the cloth, because the  Buddha thinks about future generations [3]. After the meal, Prince White Buddha thought that peanuts can be acquired through suffering [4].

Ancient time when Buddha first ordained, he also thought that, should  e ã two ascetic monk, one witness Unknown Origin owns, a great witness ideal non African origin. He quickly  reached these certifications , and  was invited by the teacher to stay with the  leadership. But Ng Ai  e ã to  go to t ser supreme ones. When he  arrived at the Ni River, he stopped to find a  lovely place to meditate.

An example that arose for him at that time was, when the log was still soaked in water or picked up from the water, even if it was rubbed, it could not catch fire. Likewise, people who do not renounce sensual love, even though suddenly fierce suffering, cannot  attain attainment.

Conversely, a log  e ã plastic dry,  put tr Israel  dryland th ì can catch fire easily. As a renunciate sensuality, if suddenly there is a sudden or unpleasant feeling, it is also possible to  attain blissful meditation.

So after abandoning austerity as  e ã sensual abandon before  it, Ng Those who practice meditation and  enlightenment. After enlightenment, Ng who thinks this method of magic deep, it's hard for the world  's ch ser  immersed in sensual pleasures can comprehend. Therefore Ng Ai  to enter Nirvana b eat. Do Pham Thien request, He sermon,  first to teach 5  disciples about the four soles, holy eight branches. Hearing 5 position  obtained illegally take th publication only Arhat.

Bodhidharma  asked Buddha the time needed to attain enlightenment. Buddha asked the Prince again, if a person wants to learn to ride with no faith, many diseases, deceit, idleness,  dullness, can it be learned  The prince replied that if only one of the five habits could not be learned, let alone the whole year. The Buddha taught the same thing that a bhikkhu who wants to cultivate must have 5 essentials:

1. Believe in Buddha;
2. Healthy, less sick;
3. Honestly lying space;
4. Diligently giving up all unwholesome and practicing good dhamma;
5. There is wisdom and the arising and passing of dhammas.

He can  take full piracy in seven years. It could also be six, five , four, three, two, one year, up to seven months, six, five, four, three, two, one, half a month, for up to seven days. Could someone  be taught th morning ì afternoon  e ã evidence  obtained.

When he heard that, Bodhi  prince exclaimed, "Oh really is Buddha, Oh really is Dharma, Oh that's clever theory." The young prince who approached the prince asked why he did not ask for refuge. Prince Bo  started talking when he c ons in the womb, his mother  e ã  to apply Buddhist refuge for b rushing pregnant. The second time he  was carried by his nanny to Thế Tôn to ask for refuge. So this is the third time,  in front of the Buddha, he would take refuge, ask the Blessed One to accept him as a layman, from now  until the life of his life.

III. NOTE

1. Prince Bodhi is  the son of King Udena of Kosambi; His mother was the daughter of King Candappajjota of Avantì. Partly also  be t ser seen in Vinaya, origination rules invented later said in a note.

2. According to the sutra, the Bodhi prince has  no children, wishes to have a son. He heard that worshiping the Buddha could satisfy one's wish, so spread a white cloth and pray: if Buddha stepped on the cloth, we would have a son. If Buddha did not step on the cloth, we would have no children. Buddha knew that due to the bad karma of the past, he would have no children for the rest of his life , so he would  not step on the cloth. Press  it Ng anyone refuse precepts learned monks stepped on the white cloth. He later re-enacted this rule, allowing the monks to step on the cloth when he needed to bless the homeowner.

3. According to the sutras, Venerable A Nan said this because he thought: in the future, people will see veneration as a way to satisfy their worldly desires; And they will lose faith in the future if they respectfully are not  successful as expected.

4. This is the basic doctrine  of the nuns, as in Sutta 14.

II. SUMMARY

Chain of fingers  begging for alms met a difficult pregnant woman rolling around in the middle of the road. Too pitiful, he returned to white Buddha: "The White Buddha, it is painful for all sentient beings."

Buddha told him  to get close to the pregnant woman , she said: "Since my parents were born, I have never intentionally killed the lives of sentient beings, I hope that with this fact, my sister gives birth safely." The venerable white Buddha, if we say so, it is deliberately lying, because he  e A has killed so many sentient life already.

Buddha taught: So you should say: "Since I was born, I have never intentionally killed my life ..." The false Buddha  obeyed, went to the woman and said: "Sister, since I  was holy, I have not I never deliberately killed my life, I hope with this truth she will give birth  safely [4]. " And indeed, the woman immediately gave birth  safely .

Religion living alone, secluded, enthusiastic, not distracted, soon attained himself  and resided in the present, the  purpose of virtue. He said being e ã take brahmacariya  e ã into, what should  e ã do, no callbacks  life n anymore. Religious imitation into an Arahant. One day, when entering the city to beg for alms, many people threw  earth, stones, pebbles and sticks , their first hole  was bleeding, and the bowl was broken. The false religion returned to the Buddha. Buddha comforted him to patience, because he  is reaping now, the retribution of karma m à  supposed hell he suffered hundreds of years, many ng alk n mande [5].

While living in  solitary monastic life, he feels liberated and says the verse [6]:

Who first is disgraced, then not distracted

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Piyajàtika Sutta - Born from Those who are dear.

Why the Buddha teaches that sorrow and grief arise from those who are dear.

Due to relatives that arise .

Why did the Buddha teach sorrow arose from loved ones.

II. SUMMARY

A homeowner whose child died, was  suffering and didn't want to do anything,  went everywhere crying. "  Where are you, where is my only child?" He went to Buddha as mentioned above . Buddha taught: "Sorrow and pain are born of Ai, exist from Ai."

The owner says the opposite, the joy from Ai is, exists from Ai. He left dissatisfied  , met a group of people playing gambling, he recounted the Buddha's teaching: Sorrow and suffering are born of Ai (love is suffering). Those who  gamble agree with him that the left, y êu fun.

That story passed  to the inner palace. The Persian king called out to his wife, and told her again that the Buddha said "love is  suffering." Ho ang Miss says Buddha  e ã teach the course  properly. The Persian king was disgruntled , because she admired Gotama too much, so whatever Sa Mon said, the queen also thought it must.

The queen sent the servants  visited the Buddha to ask again for sure there must Ng Ai  e A Day so no. That's exactly what Buddha taught  In the past, many people cried for dead relatives: sons and daughters weeping parents, parents crying sons and daughters, wives crying for husbands, husbands crying for wives, brothers and sisters crying, younger brothers and sisters crying siblings ... so too commercial that plays  away Israel crazy, heart panic, they  go from Table A of  sugar n was too crossroads  other lines v à say: "Has anyone seen my father do not, see my mother, seeing his wife Not my husband, son, daughter, brother, sister, brother ... " So should know, grief, compassion, compassion, compassion, that arises. Once upon a time, a married woman was forced to marry other people by relatives. Husband e ã her tight as  twin and then commit suicide, saying: The two of us will meet in the next life. So should know the sorrow and suffering of the affliction of Ai born.

Hearing those words, Lady  Marquess went to the Persian king, and asked: "Do you love Princess Vajir , do you love Queen Vasabha, General Vidùdabha [1], you love herself and the people of Kàsi, Kosala does not. " King said yes, the queen asked, "If the epidemic [2]  changed g ì happened  to these people, the king has no sorrow?" The King replied that yes. Lady said, that is why the Buddha taught the sorrow and pain of being born of Ai.

After hearing the presentation queen, king of Persia anonymously  got up clothes, told Lady king gave permission [3] and the direction of Buddhist m à  bowed.

Bàhitika Sutta - The Cloak.

The venerable Ànanda answers King Pasenadi’s questions on the Buddha’s behaviour.

The cape .

Venerable Ananda answered the Persian king's questions about Buddha's conduct.

II. SUMMARY

The Persian king stubbornly asked Anan if the  Buddha had ever been a body that could cause the wise to rebuke [1]. Ton said  no. The same goes for language and action

Then the king asked what is body, speech, and mind to be rebuked by the wise. The false religion Anan replied,  that is the unwholesome body, speech, and intention. Unwholesome means guilty, harmful, suffering suffering,  leading to self harm, harm people, harm both, and makes unwholesome growth, minimizing good law [2].

The King asked if Buddha just praised the renunciation of all unwholesome. Respect  , Germany Tathagata has renounced all akusala, and achieved good dhammas [3].

The King asked what is body, speech, and mind, not being scolded by the mind; and false religions  answer that l à personally friendly, operator-friendly terms, and act in good faith. And good means no sin, no harm, no stray.

After the  e àm speech, the king wanted to donate false religions elephants and horses, or even a village of gifts, but said he came to not  being allowed to receive the nth ày, so please donate a roll of foreign goods [4], gifts of King A beam,  for sewing. The venerable refuse v ì  e ã have  enough 3 y. The king begged the fake king to accept 3 new robes, then give the old three robes to other monks. Thus the generosity will be spread, like a heavy rain that overflows the river's water.

III. NOTE

2. In short,  this  passage outlines the five standards of evil karma: it is an  unhealthy action   and has an unhealthy effect on the mind; it is to  be blamed  for its morally bad nature  it  brings misery ; it has  unwholesome motives  and  has   long-term harmful effects on both itself and for humans. Good karma is the opposite.

3. Ananda's answer goes far beyond the question, because he showed that not only did the Buddha praise the renunciation of all evil, but he also acted  in accordance with his words, that is,  e. have given up all unwholesome

II. SUMMARY

While walking in the garden, seeing the lovely and cool trees suitable  for meditation, the Persian king remembered Buddha. The guard Kàràyana [1] said that the Buddha was not far away, only about 3 weeks [2], the king sent the wagon to  go to the audience.

Arriving at the place where the king  walked, took off his weapon and wore the head cover and handed it to the bodyguard to meet the Buddha. Squire thought, sure what the king wants to lose you  here, n Israel  to us in the [3]. When he met the Buddha, the king paid homage, touched Ngai's feet and proclaimed his name. Buddha asked  where the king had such excruciating gestures. The King told the following reasons  :

1. holy monks lived a full  life not as recluses b à la subject of foreign  direct cultivate only one time and then returned to enjoy sex. Therefore, the king thought: The Dharma was well-taught by The Ton, the monks and the disciples skillfully maintained it.

10. Buddha belongs to the same lineage of soldiers, the same homeland, the same age of 80 as the king [8], so he is ready to exasperate himself  to show his kindness. Having finished presenting the above reasons, the king  stood up, prostrated himself, his righteous body turned to him and then  left [9].

After the king  left, the Buddha called the monks and taught: to maintain the solemn dhammas [10] these dhammas are related  to the goal , and are the table of virtue.

Kannakatthala Sutta - At Kannakatthala .

King Pasenadi questions the Buddha on omnisscience, on cast distinctions, and on the gods.

In Kannakatthala .

The Persian King stubbornly asked the Buddha about omniscience, about class discrimination, and about the gods.

II. SUMMARY

The Persian king  visited the Buddha, after paying homage to Ngai, he transferred the advice of two sisters Somà and Sakulà [1]. Buddha asked why they do not have someone else  reported m à have to bother  to nh à king. The king replied because they heard the king was about to  go to see the Buddha. King asked if Buddha e ã statement: Not a brahmin ascetic yet all is omniscient, witness  are knowledge of Israel chronic [2]. Is that  right of Buddha, or is it misrepresentation. That Buddha teaches  is a perversion.

The Buddha's teaching is: No brahmin can ever know and see everything at the same time.

The king asked again what was the difference between the four classes. Buddha replied that there are classes  being respected , there are classes that are trampled  .

The king then verified that he was not asking about the present, but about the future [3]. The Buddha teaches that there are 5 essential factors [4] which are faith, less illness, diligence , honesty, and wisdom about the arising and passing of dhammas. Anyone who has  enough of these factors can endure  suffering, regardless of class . Just like flames burning with different fuels are still fire, there is no difference between light and their effect.

Next, the  king asked if the poet was born again in the human realm. Buddha  replied that those who still have harmful mind and brain will still be born again, all the harmful minds and brains will not be born again [5].

Prince Vidudabha then asked, can the reincarnated gods be able  to drive away those who are not born again. Venerable A nan instead answered Buddha by asking again: The king can expel the cultivators in territories that do not belong to the king or not. The Prince said no.

The false religion says that the gods have harmful brains and can not see the  gods who are not harmful, how to  fight them. King rejoiced with those answers, and please excuse me.

III. NOTE

1. These two sisters are the wives of the king.

2. No one can  at the same time, in a single mind, know all the past, present and future. On the issue of the Venerable Monks and traditions ascribed to the Buddha, see footnote 3 sutra 71.

3. That means he did not ask about  their social status but about their prospects for spiritual progress.

4. As in sutra 85.

5. fear: this answer implied gods classes  beginning l à beings Any Complete, after classes have not attained Any Complete. Also the question of the Brahma. The two key nouns that distinguish the two classes of devas are both  harmful  and  non-harmful , which can also be translated as remaining anger and anger. Sutras of the first class annotation have  not given up the end of suffering, the next class has eliminated the suffering. Since both understandings  can be applied to the level of Inability, it is no different.
