CENTRAL SUTRAS - SESSION NO.11

Primary  lion roaring.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Cùlasìhanàda Sutta - The shorter discourse on the Lion's roar.

The Buddha declares that only in his Dispensation can the four grades of noble individuals be found, explaining how his teaching can be distinguished from other creeds through its unique rejection of all doctrines of self.

Short sutta is about the lion's roar .

Buddha declared that only in the Dhamma was he able to find the four levels of deity, and explained how his teachings differed from other religions by  nicely denying all views of self .

II. SUMMARY

Buddha presented to his  disciples to respond to the pagan when questioned because of the saying that "only in  Buddhism can there be four saints, or four or eight of them". Answer: " Because we have four dharma s: believe in  the Master, believe in the Dharma, fully satisfy the Precepts, and have dharma friends in the monastic house that we love."

If the foreign  religion turns back, religion also has four dharma s, what  is different about Buddhism ? Should ask them again: - "Is the end one or more?" If they answered correctly, they had to say only one.

- "The salvation is for those who are greedy or not greedy?" They must also  respond to people who are not greedy.

As the above question about anger, ignorance, love, attachment, mindlessness, adverse reactions, and love of argument, they  are all forced to answer truthfully that "the end is for those who are not greedy, do not have anger. , no delusion, no love, no attachment, a mind, no reversible response, no love of argument. "

There are two types of opinion or  opinion: biased and non-biased. The person who holds the view is hindered by non-understanding, and vice versa. Someone who does not really understand the arising and  passing away of these two types of ants, the sweetness, the danger and the departure from them, is the one who has greed, hatred, delusion, love, attachment, no mind, have negative reactions, preferring logic, so we cannot escape from birth, old age, and suffering  Who like to truly understand the above things , who no longer greed, ignorance, no attachment, have wisdom, all the reversible reactions, all the fancy arguments He is liberated from birth, old age, death, grief.

There are four grasping players, the goalkeeper, the player, the world of the goalkeeper, the goalkeeper of the fall. There are sara-dharma subjects, though self-proclaimed that all players will be trialled, but only show either one player, or two or three players,  except for the thesis ; so their knowledge is lacking. In such a flawed teaching, despite having faith in the  guru, believing in the Dharma, accomplishing the precepts, loving fellow  believers, having faith in that faith, such accomplishment, that love  is considered. Oh not completely. Because the Dhamma is not  cleverly preached, not directed, does not lead to tranquil nirvana . On the contrary, when Buddha confessed himself to know all the players, he correctly displayed the will of the sensuality of the players, the players, the forbidden world, the self-interest. In such a teaching, if there is pure faith For the Guru, with Dharma and Tàn , attaining complete Precepts, loving fellow  believers, then that purity and love  are considered complete. Because the dharma leads  to the tranquility of nirvana , which is displayed by the Omniscient Noble Truth  .

Next, the  Buddha analyzes the origin of the four types of grasping according to the 12 genera of existence , derived from ignorance. Monks  e ã  rid of ignorance th ì non-attachment, by not clinging should not remove the  dynamic, self certification Nirvana b eat.

III. NOTE

Negative response : Pros are greedy; The inverse is dominated by anger. The  theory  is that the mind is also  motivated by craving and understanding.

Friendship ,  bhavaditthi  is the common argument, or "common sense", believes the ego is eternal. Non-biased, vibhavaditthi is  the annihilation or "clinging" means that for people to die and then end, there is no rebirth  to bear the retribution of good and evil deeds. The attachment of biased opinion entails non-biased objection  , this is related  to the preceding saying "the end (nirvana ) is for someone who does not have an adverse reaction."

About the "set-up" - samudaya - of the two types of knowledge , the Suttas explains the eight factors that cause conditions: n five aggregates, ignorance, contact, thought, thought, non-reason, bad friends, and so on . the voice of another. The disappearance of these two types - attangama - is the Virtue of the  Path, where all views are uprooted. Their sweetness - ass àda - is the fulfillment of their psychological need  danger -  ādànava - the constant bondage they cause; renunciation from them is nirvana.

Of the four players , the attachment - including all the most subtle desires - only  ceases at Arahant; The three remaining players in Dunhu  Dao have eliminated  them. "Tue tri" this means to pass, win  through clear understanding . This passage shows the climactic factor  that distinguishes the Buddha's teaching from all other philosophical religions, that is , the Buddha "reveals the grasping of the policy of self" or the dissenting self. This also means that only Buddha can teach how to overcome all self-grasping by penetrating the truth of no-self. Other masters lack this insight of selflessness, so their claims themselves for  e ã Willow tri three other players also suspicious.

CENTRAL Sutras - SUTRAS NO.12

Great business lion roaring

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Mahàsìhanàda Sutta - The greater discourse on the lion's roar.

The Buddha expounds the ten powers of a Tathàgata, his four kinds of intrepidity, and other superior qualities which entitle Him to "roar his lion's roar in the assemblies".

Long sutta talks about the roaring of a lion .

The Buddha talks about the Ten forces of a  Tathagata, Four fearlessness and other  victorious virtues ; because  it Ng Ai  qualified "roar roaring lion" in the congregation.

II. SUMMARY

The fake Religion of the relics waved  alms, back to Buddha Sunakkhatta's claim to the Buddha just quit: "Gotama has no victorious opinion, the sermon created by me after deduction and testing. France was closed  to a position ti êu  special, capable upward, can lead people actually h publication only  came to an end to suffering. " Buddha said with a smile: "That fool, because of indignation, wants to criticize but it turns out to praise the Tathagata." The remainder of this sutra shows that Sunakkhatta's criticism is false. Who can trust them completely  to will see the opposite, Buddha l à  beings have ten forces, four fearless v à multiple n antenna other forces.

A. Depending on the Tathagata :

1. Buddha  enough  ten brands  is as hybrids, application offerings, chief  equity sense, etc.

2. His  e ã evidence of  psychic powers  such as metamorphosis, natural atrial communication, communication ... tha

3. Thanks to  e ã achievements ten and four fearless force, claiming that as hybrid  position Niu kingdom, roaring lion roar among the congregation v à turn the wheel.

B. His legal  e ã insight : as four students, n Audio recording v à the  road leading to it; Nibbana and the  road to nibbana .

C. Buddha recounted his ascetic  e ã practice:  as tortured body, PUBLICATION UE, cover glass happy, happy  in solitude; In all 4 of those actions, no one can compare with Ngai, but in the end He gave up because they do not  lead to enlightenment.

D. Finally, he rejected the policy mistakes of foreign  religion:  as advocated beings  achieve purification by reincarnation, thanks to regeneration, thanks to dwell (in a kind of rebirth n rushing  it), thanks to sacrifices Thanks to fire worship. Buddha said no c oi any reincarnation in  that Ng Ai  e ã not undergo a long time, no public realm regeneration His unprecedented, dwell, residential except Pure heavens. If he is reborn in the Pure Land Residential He  e ã not return to this world. He also  e ã do all the sacrifices, worship fire in a long time when he was made king Sat line  to the core, or l àm wealthy Brahmin [but not benefit].

Non-pagans  believe that when they are young, people have wisdom and arguments, but in old age they are confused. In the teachings of the Buddha, it is not so, he has four  disciples who are over one hundred years old and still have  full intellectual wisdom . And he himself, too, though old  e ã eighty, he still excess capacity to teach even the intellectual eloquence the most, and wisdom He does not decline even have to shoulder a bed  away n it to the other (when  e ã too old). Who says the  Tathagata an authentically will say: "Ng Who was charming no delusion possessed, born  life v ì benefits, for the welfare of sentient beings, because peace for the gods and mankind . " One Interesting point is the conclusion of this sutra. Venerable Nagasamala at that time was  standing behind Buddha and fanning him. After hearing the Buddha tells the time ascetics, what Buddha  e ã achievements, false religions all feel roughly  to Ron snails, v à white Buddha: "It is wonderful replacement, venerable sir. After hearing this sutra My hair is upright. Bach Thế Tôn, what is the name of this sutra? " Buddha said, "Then let's call the Sutra of Erect hair."

III. NOTE

Sunakkhata , the Buddha taught him in the Sunakkhata Sutta, Central Sutta 105, probably before he joined the monk. His rottenness  is mentioned in the Pātika Sutta of the 24th school. He was discontented to leave because Buddha did not show him miracles, nor did  he answer him on the dangers of dharma s. At the core of Sunakkhata's criticism is that Buddhism  attained enlightenment through thought, not through deluded wisdom ; and according to him, the  goal of eradicating suffering is not equal to having raw gods .

Impurity, sankilesa  - is a participation in diminishing rot, "purity" of vodàna, to be a participation in growth "arising" - vutth àna - both means purify and mean out of a meditation.

Ten titles of the Buddha : Tathagata, Arahant, Right  equality, Ming virtue, Good faith, World resolution, Supreme sergeant, Master of the staff, Thien Sphinx, Buddha.

The ten forces  are:

1. Tri knows the origin of non-origin [due to clearly see the causal relationship, so know  what can happen  , cannot happen.]

2. Tri knows karma in all three times too, present, future.

3. Know the  way to the realms.

4. Know all the factors that make up the world [clear in 115 Central Sutta.]

6. Knowing c eat strong or weak in sentient beings - ie 5 bases of beliefs on the idea of wisdom.

7. Wisdom tri contamination, purity, the emergence of meditation on meditation, liberation,  concentration.

8. Tri knows all of his previous lives, which is called sufficiency.

9. The mind knows the life or death of sentient beings depending on karma or samsara.

10. Gonorrhea, mindfulness, clean all pollution.

[Han v to eat: 1. Tri urban non-origin force; 2. Tri three career press force; 3. Tri best mentality mentality; 4. Tri worldly race personality force; 5. Tri tha sentient beings of sexual force; 6. Tri forgive sentient beings of the upper and lower capacities; 7. Tri venerable meditation power; 8. Cluck your mind; 9. Life and death; 10. Gonorrhea.]

Four fearless :

1. The Buddha is not afraid that anyone in the world  will criticize him for not proving that he will admit it.

2. Do not criticize him not fear anyone  except contraband or m à self for  e ã  eradicated.

3. What he teaches  is definitely an obstacle, not afraid of anyone saying the opposite.

4. The Dharma He taught definitely leads  to the end of suffering, no one can say no.

CENTRAL SUTRAS - SESSION NO.13

Great suffering Aggregates

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Mahàdukkhakkhanda Sutta - The greater discourse on the mass of suffering.

The Buddha explains the full understanding of sensual pleasures, material form, and feelings; there is a long section on the dangers in sensual pleasures.

The long sutta talks about  the suffering .

Buddha explains the awareness of sensory pleasures, sensual pleasures, and feeling; There is a  very long passage about the dangers of sensual pleasures.

II. SUMMARY

The monks  visited the pagan monks and were asked what the difference between the Buddha's theory and the paganism  on the three issues of sex, materiality and sensation, because they, like Buddha, fully understand those three. The monk returned to the white Buddha, the Buddha explained about the understanding of the three dhammas in his teachings, that is to know three  things: sweetness, danger and renunciation from them.

A. First of all about sex

The sweetness is the year of sexual growth: the qualities, bars, flavors, flavors, and sensations received by the five senses. The danger is :

1. Because  pursuing that year, you have to work hard to work with all  kinds of careers.

2. The  suffering disappointment  spectacular if after so many efforts under  chased m à still no  be m ình want.

3. The loss of preservation, fear of loss when  e ã can  be.

4. Noi  suffering gh ê assets abhorrence when  e ã have stolen, confiscated, drifted, burnt, being naughty squander.

5. For the sake of sex, war is happening everywhere between people; even in part  e ình, spouses and children and other disputes,  leading to death or suffering death.

6. Due to sex, people become violent, spreading their conscience,  fighting to die.

7. There is robbery and killing by sex, and there are terrible penalties for sinners.

8. Due to the education that people do evil acts of body, speech, mind, dead  rotten v noisy data realms. These are the dangers of sex. The renunciation is the  treatment of greed  for the flavor, until the end of craving.

B. In terms of identity,  here is the female beauty .

Sweetness is a  beauty in young women, evoking a sense of joy in the viewer. The danger is that old, ugly, and sick lying in one place,  indulging in her own pee when she  reaches the age of a grandmother. More dangerous is the disgust of corpses being qu antenna abandon cemetery where, until just c On is the  vertebrae discrete th instant he becomes dust. That is the danger of identity. The emancipation from rupa is for the  treatment of craving for sex, until the elimination of craving.

C. About sensation .

Buddha  gives blissful meditation, to show that even that harmless bliss is dangerous, let alone other pleasures. The sweet taste is the bliss due to the cup of education in the first meditation, the bliss due to the  concentration in the second meditation, the pure pleasure in the three meditation, the pure concept of discharge in the four meditation. That is the ultimate sweetness of sensation, because it is harmless. The danger of this feeling is that it is also impermanent, perishable, so it is suffering. The renunciation of feelings is the  treatment of craving for sensations, to eliminate craving.

Those who like the real wisdom know  the sweetness, danger and the renunciation of senses, rupa, and feeling, can help others as truly understanding these dhammas.

III. NOTE

Willow tri - parinnà  this means to pass through,  samatikkhama  or renounce,  pahàna . Foreign monk  for the first meditation is willow tri sensory, the evidence of formless is the willow, the invisible meditation is the willow. On the contrary, the Buddha teaches in the Unscrupulous path that will know all senses, in the Arahant, the new knowledge will be learned  and long.

CENTRAL SUTRAS - SESSION NO.14

Primary suffering aggregates

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING

Cùladukkhakkhandha Sutta - The shorter discourse on the mass of suffering.

A variation of the preceding, ending in a discussion with Jain ascetics on the nature of pleasure and pain.

A short sutra about a  lot of suffering .

One such form of 13, ending in an  e àm argument with those Jain ascetics, about the nature of happiness and unhappiness.

II. SUMMARY

Mahanama asked Buddha, What is the cause sometimes he still greed invaded though  e ã know  that l à defilements of the mind, and asked which of his no  paragraph that he was greed dominates. Buddha taught, that is the main education. Because he has not  clip sex, let sex l èo drove him should he still live in the  e ình, enjoyment of sex. Buddha said sex is less fun, more suffering, more danger. About sex, should know the sweetness, danger and renunciation. But if you see so clearly with true wisdom, and yet have not realized the  bliss of meditation or the more victorious dhammas , then it is still dominated by sex. That is Buddha's personal experience.

Next, the Buddha told Mahàna to listen  to his conversation with the nuns who practiced a lot of austerities, feeling  severe suffering to atone for past sins, so that belief would  be resolved. exit.

Buddha asked them five things: Do they know whether they existed in the past? In the past, did they commit negative karma? In the past, they  e ã What do these evil deeds? They know  e ã except  how children êu  suffering, c review how much  suffering is not exclusion? Do they know to eradicate unwholesome dhammas right now and complete the wholesome dhammas? The  ascetics do not know. But because they believe in karma, the Buddha concludes: "Then the renunciants in the nuns must have been horrible wicked beings" (that is why they have to act physically  to atone).

But the nuns said: "Happiness is achieved through suffering. If happiness is achieved through  happiness, then King Binh sa (Bimbisara) will be better than Gotama, because he  is happier living than Gotama. . " The nun who mistakenly enjoys pleasure and senses is happiness, so when the Buddha asks if King Pingsha can do like Him, sit still and motionless  for many days and still feel pure bliss, then the nun must acknowledging that Buddha lived happier than the king.

III. NOTE

Mahāvāna  had a surname with Buddha, he was the brother of Anuruddha and Ananda. According to the resolution, he  e ã attained Any complete, meaning only decline greed rather than  cessation. V ì he mistaken as to  the path Real ho alk is  e ã  make an end to greed, n Israel new mental surprised to see him occasionally they arise.

Buddha  put v rushing  this story of austerity in order to say, the doctrine Ng who is centrally  directed, away from the two extremes of enjoyment v à mortification.

Vitakkasanthàna Sutta - the removal of distracting thoughts.

The Buddha teaches five methods for dealing with the unwholesome thoughts that may arise in the course of meditation.

The delusion eradication .

The Buddha taught five methods for dealing with the negative negatives that may arise during meditation  .

II. SUMMARY

The Buddha teaches that however, to increase the mind, there are five methods as follows to eliminate thoughts that arise related  to sex, anger, and delusion:

1. Think  a different thought, li Joel system  to sexual ly, adosa, si. Like a carpenter using a wedge  to dislodge another smooth one.

2. Observe the dangers of unwholesome things as they arise, then that bad thoughts  are eliminated. Like a young man who loves jewelry and is tied to a neck by a snake or a dog corpse, he must be disgusted.

3. Ignore  them. As if one did not want to see something in front of his eyes, he closed his eyes or looked elsewhere.

4. Observe the birth and death of her thoughts, making it slow down  the v à gradually disappear.

5. Determined to use the mind to control the mind [using a good thought  to overwhelm an unwholesome thought].

By applying n mande this method, the psychological evil evil unto us  to sex, anger, ignorance is eradication, inner peace resides. That monk eliminates thirst, liberates the history, conquers romantic love, ends suffering  .

The intention of another general , for example, when craving sex arises related  to sentient beings , the other general is "impure"; related  to invisible , then another general is "impermanent". Anadora arises in relation  to sentient beings , the other is kindness; related  to invisible , the other general is four  great. The way to cure thoughts related to delusion is to be near a master, listen to the dharma and study the dharma, observe the meaning, investigate the cause.
