The Buddha taught: “Consider yourself your island, consider yourself your refuge. Should not rely on anyone else "(School of Arah, Sutra of the Great Eight Nirvana), and He also clearly stated:" You must make your own efforts. The Tathagatas are only masters ”(Sutras of Dhamma, shelf 276).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

However, there are times when we forget that. Instead of being determined to follow the Buddha's teaching by admiring Him and believing in His teachings absolutely, we adore him as the supreme deity.

Buddha is a guide, a guide, whether to
reach the destination, reach the goal or not, sooner or later it is up to us.

The Buddha never thought that He was a god or a God, or more. He never told Him to have the power to bless those who believe in Him, adore Him, and bring calamity to those who do not believe Him, who do not. The Buddha said that he was just a finder of truth and a path for sentient beings to that truth; He is the one who got rid of suffering and shows sentient beings how to get rid of that suffering. Whether to see the truth or not, whether to escape suffering or not, it all depends on the efforts of each individual.

The Buddha was unable to release one sentient being from suffering, liberate other sentient beings, and help other sentient beings be happy. He can only tell sentient beings how to get rid of suffering, how to be happy; He taught sentient beings the way to realize truth. In a nutshell, as the Buddha said, he is just the master, the teacher guiding the way Buddha is the guide, the guide, whether to reach the destination, to achieve the goal or not, sooner or later it is due to them. us, whether we will go or not, we go fast or not.

The Buddha taught about Cause and Effect, Karma, Dependent Origination, Impermanence, No-Self, indicating the nature of life. The Buddha taught about the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, pointing out the cause of suffering, the method of eliminating suffering, and the blissful bliss that are acquired after the cessation of suffering. But sometimes we don't care, don't remember His teachings, don't follow His directions to get what we want, but we run after delusional delusions, blind faith. , we follow our feelings, come to Him with deluded beliefs and actions.

The Buddha asserted that we are the island in itself, our own refuge. He taught us not to seek refuge from anyone else, including Him. The Buddha taught us to be our guardians, no one can protect us but us. "You are your protector, you are your refuge" (Dhammapada, shelf 380). However, we do not have confidence in ourselves, do not have the wisdom and the steadfast determination to believe and boldly practice the Buddha's teaching, and walk on the path he has outlined to lead us to happiness, happy.

When facing difficulties, unhappiness, when faced with life events, because normally there is no practice and practice, not studying and practicing the Buddha's words, we panic, frantically running for shelter, find a place to protect yourself. Instead of going to the temple to pray for religion, finding a practice to transform suffering, changing ourselves and circumstances in order to have peace and happiness, we go to the temple to pray, ask for miracles, to offer relief; chanting, reciting mantras to pray for protection in the Bodhisattvas, good spirits.

However, “Even though I watched all the Amitabha sutras, recited all the time of the Great Bi, I can still plant melon, and I can still plant beans. The mantra is inherently compassionate, how to save Examining my mind of the past, whoever does, he will suffer ”(The Venerable Te Dien Venerable Situation). Because the retribution of good and evil acts as a shadow, cause and effect in the three lifetimes revolve around no loss (Sutta Nirvana).

Everyone who sows a cause will reap the fruit sooner or later, and sow goodness and goodness, reap good results in this life or the next, and reap the fruit of the future or in the present. Good or bad deeds, good or bad deeds are born from the heart, so you must often contemplate and examine your mind, do not let your mind run after evil, sinful things, always keep your mind clean and oriented. mindful things are righteous and good.

When the mind is kept clean, when the mind is directed, our actions become holy, our words and deeds lead to good results, that is the response of actions according to the law of cause. fruit. Even if we don't want it, it is the same. But when we sow unwholesome causes by bad, evil thoughts, words, deeds that are harmful to us, others, or both, even if we do not want to receive bad retribution, sooner or later. bad will also come.

In the Dhammapada (verse 1, 2), the Buddha taught: "In the dhammas (phenomena, things), the mind is first, the mind is the master, the mind creates. If you say or do with a defiled mind (unwholesome ...), then the suffering will follow the karma as a wheel rolling along the foot of an animal; If you say or do with a pure mind, then the happiness will follow karma as a shadow.

To be happy and happy, we must stay away from evil, bad, and do many good and good things. To get rid of suffering, we must transform the mind (repent of the mistakes and pains created in the past: past lives or past lives; actively cultivate benevolent conditions, practice the Buddha's teachings, cultivate practice three karma body, speech, and mind). There is no Buddha, a Bodhisattva or any other spirit capable of dispelling our karma and solving our suffering, because they cannot violate the law of cause and effect.

If the Buddha, the Bodhisattva, the deity can liberate karma and solve suffering for sentient beings, the Buddha does not need to work hard to open up many means, teach many transformative practices, say thousands of sutras to show them. to get rid of suffering and have happiness and happiness.

If the Buddha, the Bodhisattva, the gods can liberate the karma and relieve the suffering for sentient beings, with compassion, they have allowed all sentient beings to be free from suffering, allowing all sentient beings to become Buddhas, attaining Nirvana- The table is long ago, where there is no longer the scene of living beings squatting in the sea of samsara. Because each being has to solve their own suffering by practicing transformation and no one can do it instead, so until today there are still beings in the six paths, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas. Still have to show Ta-grandmother to teach, show directions. As Buddhists with right understanding and righteousness, we bow to the Buddha because of respect for the Buddha's compassion, bliss, selflessness, selflessness, and the vast beneficial deeds of the Buddha. Reciting Buddha's name is to remember the deeds and grace of the Buddha, and consider the Buddha a good example to learn and follow. To recite scriptures is to review the Buddha's teachings, to study

Bowing to the Buddha, reciting the name of the Buddha, chanting, reciting mantras is also a means to help regain the mind to meditate, to make the mind pure, clear, from which wisdom arises. When we master our mind, the mind is no longer predestined by evil conditions, and the external akusala is led and led by the wisdom that arises, we can solve the suffering problems in life in a way. effective.END=NAM MO AMITABHA BUDDHA.( TIMES ).PRAYED AMITABHA MONATERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.11/11/2020.
