CENTRAL SUTRAS - LESSON NO.1
Dharma subject to copy.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING
Mùlapariyàya Sutta - The root of all things.
The Buddha analyses the cognitive processes of four types of individuals - the untaught ordinary person, the disciple in higher training, the arahant and the Tathàgata. This is one of the deepest and most difficult suttas in the Pali Canon, and it is therefore suggested that the earnest student read it only in a cursory manner on a first reading of the Majjhima Nikàya, returning to it for an in-depth study after completing the entire collection.
The roots of all things.
The Buddha analyzes the cognitive processes of four classes of people: non-dharma-non-virtuous, the educated, Arahant, and the Tathagata. This prayer is one of profound and difficult to understand in Pall Canon, so the proposal scholars suspected soft-sufficient after reading through a first, h he read back of n ày when e ã see the full 152 experience .
II. SUMMARY
The root of suffering is joy: desire, pleasure in the physical to spiritual, from the mortal to the holy, from the four elements to the living class, human beings, the gods , the realms of meditation, and Nirvana.
Of Justice that, with the way different perceptions, depending on the level of study: entrance misperceptions of ph Sheol called great prophet , the people know from books is the official oracle , of saints useful learning is winning tri, of Arahant is wisdom . And finally, Buddha's knowing is the willow .
Phàm phu tri tri dhamma, for example geography, as follows:
1. He thinks the self is geographic;
2. Think of yourself in geography;
3. Think of yourself separately from geography;
4. Think "geography is mine."
That is not the geography of the world. As for other dharma s, too, including:
Beings, Devas, Birth, Brahma, Celestial Yin, Transcendent Heaven, Quang Fruit Thien, Victory, Unlimited land to Non-non-fiction, Perceptual Knowledge, Identity and difference All, Nirvana.
As for the 4 great and other dhammas, the beings who have learned do not have the intellectual attitude of the ordinary, that is:
1. He does not think the self is geographic;
2. Don't think of yourself in geography;
3. Don't think about yourself being separate from geography;
4. Do not think "Geological Ge l à my", no education, great geography.
That is called victory. Thanks to the triumph of the dhammas, which does not lead to greed, romanticism and ants, so the beings who learn are capable of understanding the dharma.
Arhat, for the above dhammas deeply triumphant, that is to know the true nature of their infinite suffering , so it is called the understanding of the dhammas. Arhat is not sexual nirvana rapture because e ã nirvana full understanding; Moreover, since e ã take greed, hatred and ignorance.
Tathagata tri utopian place great ... Nirvana b eat like ordinary type, not the legal Cardinal, because e ã full understanding of sexual joy is the source of suffering. Again, thanks to the only full understanding of Israel depart, he e ã make love in defense because we know it will lead to friendship, born v A Price died.
III. NOTE
Join, romantic, ant : When a person sees, hears ... that stabbing attachment to rebirth as a certain class of beings , he is called "greed". When the person ranks himself as superior, equal or inferior to others, he is "romantic". And when there is the view that sentient beings are impermanent or impermanent, that is called "ant". Status of great prophet of ordinary lead to lust, romance, is as follows:
Think of self in the geography ( Determination way, Locative ): leading to "romantic"
Thinking the self separate from the geography (Origin of the way, Ablative ): leads to "ants"
Think " geographic location is mine" (Department of the way, Genitive), good education is : leading to "greed"
Sentient beings , which means all living things under the Four celestial realms.
Devas : the six realms of heaven and earth.
Birth , implying the Maou dominates all living beings.
Brahma or Mahāvastu - Mahàbramhma, the first born god in each great life, life is equal to that of the universe in that great life. The early meditation monks also reincarnated into this realm.
Thien Yin : the realm of meditation. Here includes both Thieu Quang and Immeasurable Light.
Turn pure natural : the realm of the three meditation. Here includes Pure Heaven and Immeasurable Net.
Quang results natural : the realm of the four meditation.
The victorious (Abhibhù) indicates the utopia, because there are no four formless aggregates here.
Not boundless origin, Consciousness is boundless, Originlessness of origin and Non-ideal origin of non-origin are 4 formless heaven.
Is v eat enlightened : what is seen, heard, felt v à awareness, which called "the great prophet" (false), when there clinging "I" and "mine", or arising romantic, greed and knowledge
Identity and difference : those who practice meditate when their mind reaches a single, unchanging realm, clinging is " same". People who do not attain attachment have many different scenes. The kind of " unified" belief produces monotheistic philosophy and monotheistic religion, and "different" beliefs produce polytheism and polytheistic beliefs .
All : just all the above dharma s, put together into one block. Perception of all can produce pantheism or monotheism, depending on the relationship between ego and all.
Nirvana : only the current 5 types of nirvana , the policy of 62 external wrong views is said in the Pham Vong, Truong: the enjoyment of sensory pleasures is nirvana, the four realms of meditation are nirvana. Expecting, enjoying this year is greed, pride when attaining lustfulness, seeing that kind of delusional nirvana everlasting, l à ant.

I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING
Sàbbàsava Sutta - All the taints.
The Buddha teaches the Bhikkhus seven methods for restraining and abandoning the taints, the fundamental defilements that maintain bondage to the round of birth and death.
All pollution .
Buddha taught the monks seven methods to tame and renounce defilements, that is, defilements continue to bind people to the cycle of birth and death.
II. SUMMARY
There are two ways of the dhammas (or to think about something ): As rational and unreasonable. As justice is the intention, not contraband or unborn birth, e ã students are to eradicate. Not as reasonable volition l à cause gonorrhea or unborn arise, gonorrhea or e ã birth, t antenna growth.
Seven ways to subtract l à: by knowledge, by protection, by life, by kham patient, by avoiding, by eliminating, by practice.
III. NOTE
Gonorrhea or pollution includes three categories: gonorrhea, gonorrhea, and gonorrhea. Type 1 binds people to sensory pleasure, type 2 to conceptual thought, and type 3 to samsara in general.
The subtraction by Tri opinion is not paying attention to the unremarkable story, and only the idea what needs the idea. The Dharma of the Tathagata is essential for people to know the rational intention and see clearly what is not worthwhile. Not worth volition l à things started li Joel system to the Table A in the past, present, future, the source of six viewpoints as follows:
1. "We have self" - " self exists for me ": spiritualism, by common knowledge.
2. "We have no self " - " no self exists for me ": materialism, the only possible body, death is over.
3. "By self, we think we have a self" - " I perceive self with self ": accept "self" including both, the soul and the body.
4. "By self, we think we have no self" - " I perceive not-self with self ": accept "self" is just the soul.
5. "Not by ourselves, I perceive we have a self" - " I perceive self with not-self ": accept "self" is just the body.
6. "The ego says, feeling, now at the age of good and evil retribution e ã made here and there, it was my ego is not permanent changes": " It is this self of mine that speaks and feels and experiences here and there the result of good and bad actions; but this self of mine is permanent… no subject to change "A form of complete grasp, acceptance.
Bound by these wrong views, ordinary people cannot escape birth, old age, grief and suffering. On the contrary, saint disciples thanks to the idea of "this is suffering" this is the cause of suffering " this is suffering cessation" " this is the way leading to the cessation of suffering" ... m à three fetters to be eliminated l is familiarity, suspicion, world prohibition That is called the elimination of knowledge.
The section except by protection is to keep righteous thoughts when the six objects touch the six objects.
The subtraction by life is enough for four clothing items in the disease.
The subjugation by patience is rejoicing to endure unpleasant feelings about body and mind.
The phase of avoidance is to avoid dangerous people, things, and places that can generate afflictions.
The phase of elimination by eliminating is not to allow sensual thoughts, hatred and harmful thoughts to arise, to eliminate them right in the dream.
The subtraction by practice is to practice the seven senses: recite, trach the dharma, diligence, joy, contempt, concentration, discharge. In the seven dharma s, mindfulness or righteous thoughts should always be present, the remaining six dharma s belong to two groups: the dhamma diligent in the " dynamic", the contemptuous of being "calm". When the mind is slow, one should practice the dhammas , when the mind is too enthusiastic, one should practice the static methods to imitate, like the practitioner .

People who follow the Buddha's teachings that practice, living with minimal education, are easy to raise, worthy of respect.
Next, Venerable relics of the Buddha developed the following brief teachings of the Buddha. Fear and terror make
I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING
Bhayabherava Sutta - Fear and dread .
The Buddha describes to a bradhmin the qualities required of a monk who wishes to live alone in the forest. He then relates an account of his own attempts to conquer fear when striving for enlightenment.
Buddha describes to a Brahmin the necessary qualities that a bhikkhu must meet if he wants to live alone in the mountains. Then Ngai recounted how He conquered fear as He was working hard to attain enlightenment.
II. SUMMARY
Brahmin Janussoni visited the Buddha in the woods of America e à and praise Buddha e ã much help the monks, because patience is indeed very hard life in the mountains. According to him, the forest and mountains disturb the mind of bhikkhus who have not experienced the meditation. The Buddha confirmed the Brahmin's words, and taught the reason why the bhikkhu to endure the life of seclusion in the mountains and forests, fainted with fear, is because there are 16 defilements:
- not pure body, speech, mind, network;
- more greed, hatred of hatred, lethargy, treachery;
- skepticism, complimented me of blasphemy, trembling in fear, greed;
- lazy, lost mindset, scattered, stupid .
Buddha did not have the above errors but had the opposite virtues, so he was very safe living in the mountains. Buddha said that when he was practicing, at the e smooth tr no antenna, Ng Who has the more popular places to try drugs. Every time a fear arises, he maintains his posture to eliminate the fear in his mind. Ng who does not do as people often do when being terrible ensure l à change posture (eg fleeing), or e imagine quieter day, because he for that l à operating activities refers si. He is a sentient being without delusion, born in life vI will be happy for all species, for the happiness of all, because of the love for humanity and the gods.
Thanks to the righteous self-observation without error, he felt confident when living in the mountains and forests, diligently practicing the four meditation and three vindication. Watch one, He testified Life of his mind, remember all of his previous life ; Watch two witnesses of Thien Minh Minh, see the life or death of all sentient beings depending on the practice, called Born to death or Depending on the interesting career. CENTRAL SUTRAS - LESSON NO.5
No contamination
I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING
Anangana Sutta - Without Blemishes .
The venerable Sàriputta gives a discourse to the Bhikkhus on the meaning of blemishes, explaining that a bhikkhus becomes blemished when he falls under the sway of evil wishes.
Make no mistake .
The Venerable Siddhartha teaches the monks the meaning of defilement - or error - explaining that a bhikkhu is at fault when he is manipulated by bad desires.
II. SUMMARY
There are 4 types of people in the world :
1. There is defilement without knowing it;
2. Being defiled and as real as knowing you are defiled;
3. Not defiled but not self-knowing;
4. Not defiled and know as real I am not defiled.
In the two classes with defilement, the class knows more than the one who does not know. Because when there is defilement without knowing it, he will die bringing with it intact defilements; but if he knows himself is defiled, he will arise the desire to diligently eliminate the defilement and will die with a mind free from defilement. Like someone with a dirty bowl, leaving it in a dusty place becomes increasingly dirty. On the contrary, if the bowl is dirty, the owner brings it to clean so that it does not rush in the dusty place, then the bowl becomes brighter and cleaner.
The same is true in the two classes that are not defiled. Class is not defiled but does not know by real self that we are not defiled, there may be times due to contact with beauty and greed, forgetting to contemplate the impure body, called "mindfulness of the pure form" and from there greed, anger defiles that mind. Like a clean bowl that the owner does not know to use, throwing it back into the dust, it will eventually become a dirty bowl. The person who is not defiled and real wisdom knows that he is not defiled, he will not contemplate the pure form, always contemplate the impure, so greed does not pollute his mind. He will die with no defilements in his mind. Like the owner of a clean bowl, knowing it is clean should be diligent in cleaning and keeping it from mixing with rubbish.
Therefore, of the four classes of people, the two classes of "know" are more than the other two classes.
Next , the venerable tells the so- called defilements in the bhikkhu: that is the unwholesome thoughts related to sex, as the bhikkhu gets angry and disgruntled when secretly hoping for many things and having met. on the contrary: when there is a transgression, secretly hope no one will know; hope the bhikkhus will rebuke themselves in a discreet place not to make it public; If convicted publicly, the rebuke must be an equal person. At the lecture hall, secretly hope Buddha asked me many times, do not ask anyone else. V noisy neighbors begging, praying they bhikkhus to m ình lead head; m praying ình be the best place, the best food; hope the monks let mAfter finishing eating at the home owner [the theory of customary happiness]. When the mass gatherings in the nunnery, secretly hope they invite me to give them sermons to lay monks, nuns, men or women. I hope that the monks, nuns, men and women of the laity will respect the ritual of making offerings to themselves and not others. Wishing I had the best of four offerings.
All of the above expectations, along with the indignant dissatisfaction caused by the suffering "can not be" are called defilements, is the realm of sex.
Where a monk has not eliminated defilements, even though he is a person living in the forest, practicing all kinds of austerities, he is still not respected by his fellow ascetics. The man was likened to a beautiful, sprawling bowl, but filled with a hideous filth like a rat's corpse. Conversely though a monk living near the villages, not ascetic, but e ã eradicate defilements, still be reverent respect, like a beautiful bowl to contain food delicious.

As expected, he associated the ritual of bathing in the river to baptize his beliefs , and asked if the Buddha bathed the Bahuka River, as this river brings a lot of merit. The Buddha then said l Daniel a verse era that no n River rushing washed retribution where those e ã create negative karma, e ã cause sin; bathing for baptism is a superstitious custom. Every day is good for a pure person; So we should only take a bath in pure karma to live happily.

The Buddha rejects the view that the mere attainment of the mediative absorptions is effacement and explains how effacement is properly practised in his teaching.
Far away .
The Buddha rejects the notion that attaining meditations is renunciation [or reduction], and explains how to practice the real reduction of [defilement , reduction of ignorance] in his teachings.
II. SUMMARY
The venerable Mahacunda white Buddha, in life there are many views li Joel system to Table A or the world. Can a newcomer immediately give up those opinions?
Buddha, wants to eliminate is accepted as true observation n aggregates "is not mine, not l à me, not my ego."
After answering the question of the Venerable Mahacunda, Buddha spoke of misconceptions about the reduction. Those who have attained the four meditations say that they are clean and impure, but the Buddha taught it to call it "living in the present", not the reduction in Ngai 's precepts . The witnesses of the four invisible or 4 not also claim to be clean, but that is just a "calm stay" in His precepts, not a reduction. Then Ngai taught what is the real reduction. That is renunciation of defilement 44 (no 33, 34 in English).
Want to eradicate defilements, firstly start reversing heart vices e ã above, since the launch center is very beneficial for good behavior. That is the mind-start method.
Each habit has a virtue opposite to it, so use that virtue to deal with, like almsgiving and greed. That is the method of treatment. While all akusala is descending, the opposite of them is upper; eg with avarice there alms measures to put m ình go l Israel. That is the upper method. For the person who does harm, no harm leads to complete liberation [with all other defilements]. That is the method of complete liberation.

From the set of ignorance, there is a set of Lau or; from the cessation of Ignorance, there is the cessation of Rooster or. The road leading to the cessation of Lau or the eight-way holy path .
III. NOTE
Righteous views have two: worldly and worldly. Worldly view also has two: see cause and effect as non- believers also see; And the view is consistent with the four Noble Truths only in Buddhism. The main export is how l à knowledge the four holy empire by e ã reaching four directors of four results. Here, Venerable Xa Loi Phieu refers to the righteous views of the righteous when it comes to " absolute confidence" and "magical achievement".
Unwholesome roots , because it is craving, ignorance that drives all unwholesome actions in terms of body language.
The fascia tends to be subtle in the mind.
Good wisdom and good root ... The saint disciple knows four things according to the Four truths: all karmic kamma is the truth of Suffering; the root of good and akusala is the truth about the practice; the non-arising of both types of acts with their root, is the truth of Cessation; and the way to accomplish that Cessation is the truth of the Tao. When insight as tr Israel, saint disciples reached one of the early stages of the Friends School l à the attainment The note, Japanese, whose primary is si êu, but has not called e ã advantage unless the infection affliction box. The next paragraph "eliminating all greed and attachment ", until "eradicate suffering in the present" is the practice. Real pathway to Arahantship results: taking a long time to kill in Real , ignorance and long-term views "I AM" kill in Arahant .
Unwholesome is 10 evil karma: 3 of the body, 4 of the language and three of the mind: greed, hatred, wrong view. The root of unwholesome is greed and ignorance.
Compassion is to give up the 10 unwholesome above. The root of good is no greed, no hatred, no ignorance.
Soul food has four categories: measured eat, emotional, volition and consciousness. Measure eat ( " measured feed" the ball of rice, according to the type of food handling) or excellent physical culture; Real contact (the exposure to bare) lifespan; Real thoughts nourish consciousness; real food nurtures identity.
Practice initiation is a group of factors to initiate ; saying "the cause" is easier to understand, but it cannot strip off the Buddha's "only origin", is that there is nothing "the first cause ", there is no single cause, but there are many "conditions. "Support leads to results.
Ai is called the source of food, because love in the previous life has come out the present man continues to depend and consume the four above- mentioned foods . There are three types: sensual love (indulging in sensual pleasures), sensuality (indulging in heavenly pleasures) and non-property (indulging in sensual pleasure).
Twelve passages from 4 to 15 are 12 genera of dependent origination in the opposite direction, starting with death. Twelve made "tree man" according Pure religion , like a creeper with 12 bites, wanted to break it to end samsara, we can grasp any combustion n rushing to pull plucking Top and bottom. It is necessary to hold firmly, that is, wisdom according to the Four Noble Truths principle .
There are three, namely sex, form and formlessness - Huu indicates both the realm and the karma that brings sentient beings to that realm. The realm of sex is the rebirth place of sentient beings with many desires for sensory pleasure. The realm of materiality is where sentient beings crave beauty, like the heavenly realm, because desires here are more elegant. The formless realm is where sentient beings are infatuated with meditative thinking . Beings in all three realms are bound and not fixed , for example the word formless can fall to the realm of form or the realm of sex. Like ideology which is inherently colorless but the example thinks of sour food for a whileMouth silence can produce a lot of saliva, becoming "sharp" (rupa means gross and subtle matter, created by the four elements).
Prime is the holding, grasping. There are 4: goalkeeper, player, forbidden world and fall goalkeeper. Player is the policy of enjoying pleasure; Self-commentary is synonymous with "the view of the idea" or one of the 20 concepts of the self mentioned in Sutta No. 44.
Prohibition is the policy of observing certain rituals, austerities to purify sin. Player is to hold any point of view outside the two "players" just mentioned.
Ai has six types because there are six objects such as color, sound, flavor, taste, contact, and dharma.
Feeling (feeling, enduring) has six types, arising because the six senses, eye, nose, tongue, body and body, come into contact with the object.
Contact has six types due to the six senses: eye contact, atrium, billion, loss, body, and feeling.
Six entry also known as six c eat or six internal, ie six sense eyes, nose, tongue, body and mind.

"Sac" includes the four great elements that make up the body: a solid like bone Earth, the liquid of the water element, the warmth of the fire element, the movement or wind in the body of the wind element.
Consciousness has six types: the knowledge of the eye, etc., called the eye consciousness , atrium, male, real, body, and consciousness.
Onions in here l à "tendency to act up" and now, there are three: body h UK, gate operator, the operator.
Ignorance is not understanding of Suffering, Practice , Destruction, Dao.
Gonorrhea or : There are three contraband or illegal sex, possession of contraband and ignorance. In pirated or e ã available ignorance. Ignorance is born illegitimate or then illegitimate or ignorance again. It should be understood that ignorance in a life also has a cause or condition is ignorance from the previous life. Therefore, it is impossible to unambiguously identify the clue of ignorance, and there is no clue to the flow of samsara.

CENTRAL SUTRAS - SESSION NO.10
Mindfulness
I. MAJOR ACCOUNTING
Satipatthàna Sutta - The foundations of mindfullness.
This is one of the fullest and most important suttas by the Buddha dealing with meditation, with particular emphasis on the development of insight. The Buddha begins by declaring the four foundations of mindfullness to be the direct path for the realisation of Nibbàna, then gives detailed instructions on the four foundations: the contemplation of the body, feelings, mind and mind objects.
The foundation of mindfulness .
This is one of the most complete and important sutras that Buddha teaches about meditation, with special emphasis on the development of insight. Initially, the Buddha used the four foundations of mindfulness to be a straight off path to realizing nibbana . Then he taught in detail about the four foundations of mindfulness, namely, the contemplation of body, sensation, mind and mental objects.
II. SUMMARY
Buddha taught the four foundations of mindfulness that are the only way to bring sentient beings to purity, to overcome sorrows , to eliminate suffering, to attain righteous thoughts , to realize nirvana.
The four mindfulness are: contemplating the body on the body, contemplating feelings on sensations, mindfulness on mind, and contemplating dhamma on dhammas.
1. Body contemplation : includes 14 exercises including: breathing mindfulness; four majestic or body shop; mindfulness and awareness in all circumstances; impure shop; four great bars ; v à nine corpses customary law in that place through the stages of melting r ã.
2. Life expectancy : as an exercise. Feelings are pleasant, unpleasant, neutral feelings about body and mind.
3. concern : an exercise: The enlightened mind whether greed, hatred and delusion, wandering, advertising agency; registrar or disarray; finite or infinite; there is no concentration, there is no liberation.
4. Quan France : including five segments: 1- Five of the five; 2- Five aggregates; 3- Six internal lands; 4- Seven senses; 5- The Four Noble Truths.
So this sutta explains all 21 meditation exercises. Each exercise consists of two parts, the first liberated practice, and the supplement that teaches how to direct that practice to deepen insight. This section remained constant throughout the 21 b people for practicing, which l à paragraph "... He lived inertia arises tr Israel itself, inertia cessation on the body, ... dwell righteous, hopefully towards politics ..., live without support, without attachment to something in the world . "
Finally, the Buddha raised the result of contemplating the Four foundations of mindfulness to encourage cultivation of the practice : that is , the result of Arhat or Imperfection.
III. NOTE
The text of the Central Sutras says ekàyana magga means "the only way because there is no lane", is "the way that each person must walk without company", is "the path leading to the goal. Only moss, that's nirvana ". While the practice of meditations and transgressions may not lead to nirvana because of trifles, the four mindfulness definitely leads to nirvana , the ultimate goal.
Repetition " contemplating the body in itself " - Kaye kayanupassi - items specified target fo r alveolar object shop l à body and the body only, not mixed with other concepts such as feelings, thoughts related to that body. Again, only n Joel body shop as a body not attached to concepts such as e -fed him, e, eat three, down, or beings. So with feeling, mind, and dhamma. For example, "numbness" or "itching" when sitting in meditation is a sensation, easy to drag with other feelings like frustration, etc. or to pull "onions" like wild thoughts; so we need to stop on that feeling only, called "contemplating on feeling".
University h Transformation into exalted mind , and unsurpassable unsurpassed mind , be explained l à interested in the Zen and the formless evidence. The mind is not great, and "righteous" is the mind in the sensual realm. Mind "liberation" is a mind temporarily calming afflictions through insight or through the meditation. Since the practice of mindfulness was the period of preparation to reach the path of liberation under the delusion êu that, so I can not understand the "mind liberation" in this exercise tell e ã liberation of world trade.
In the seven senses contemplation, contemplating "uncovering the dharma of sensory chi" dhammavicaya, that is, using righteous thoughts to explore the psychic-physical phenomenon that is taking place in the mind .
