THE PRAYER OF THE LEADERS. The vows of monastics There are many causes and conditions, many paths for people to come to Buddhism, no path is the same: there is a case where believing in the Buddha's enlightenment is called Faith Vow Hanh. The Buddha's enlightenment, according to the Avatamsaka Sutra, teaches: Faith is the mother of merit, the basis for generating merit and all good dharmas. We have faith in the Three Jewels. There are other cases where sometimes touching the ultimate pain of life, then suddenly realize the reality that is. There are two ways to follow the religion: One is monasticism - The other is a lay Buddhist. Renunciation is the way to go against the stream of birth and death, against the flow of life, against the worldly life. In the process of practicing, preserving the three karmas and protecting the six roots is the most important thing to do to preserve the precepts of a practitioner's body, wisdom and life. Preservation here is mindfulness and awareness, mastering emotions with the six sense objects, self-control of actions, meaningful words. When you clearly know that there is no greed, no hatred, and no delusion, good dharmas arise. The importance of the monastic is virtue and morality. The inner mind is not attached to the external environment and has mastery over the desire for the five senses. The pure life of the monastic is shown in four positions, always living in the spirit of 'little want to know enough', not chasing after the worldly conditions like the worldly people. Posture along with right view and pure precepts are the three factors that make up the quality of a Buddhist monk. Looking at the precepts that the Buddha established for monastics, many people can't help but 'raise' because 250 Bhikkhus, 348 Bhikkhunis, with that many terms, it is difficult to memorize, let alone understand. and practice. Must be ordained to officially join the order of monks. The precepts of the bhikkhus called Full Continuity carry the full and exemplary meaning of an Arahant saint. The precepts of the Buddhist system emphasize the quintessence of monastic life. Of course life must be pure, the more precepts you keep, the more achievements you will achieve, but if you emphasize and focus on it, there are: Precepts and prohibitions against true sin, this precept must be observed by everyone, and also For lay Buddhists, Doubts are forbidden to move unclaimed, including the precepts of brahilism. A cultivator must learn both, just as Kassapa Buddha taught "Do not do evil, strive to do good, keep a pure mind" or Buddha Cau Luu Ton taught: "A cultivator who begs for alms is like a bee. Go get honey, don't hurt the flowers." After all, people who practice the Way should not look at them, Shouldn't say someone's fault, but it's important to look at yourself to see what you can or haven't done? Especially keeping the pure mind does not spoil the image of the Sangha. For monastics, ordination is a very important factor, even in the process of practice, this greatly affects the monk's behavior. The ordination and attainment of precepts is very important for monastics. That said, it does not mean that a monk or nun must adhere to rigid principles in relation to worldly and secular life. As mentioned, Buddhist monks need to come into life, contact life, understand life to bring Buddhist teachings into life and apply in life. Wherever you are, whatever your situation, you need to be mindful and show the qualities of a monastic, so you must succeed in transforming people, integrate but not dissolve in society. It's the same as not staying at a nunnery alone, and conversely a nun does not stay at a monk's temple, and especially the other delicate things they mentioned. Actions that do not match the position of the monastic are very harmful and adversely affect the Sangha and Sangha. Good or bad also from there. However, in daily life, it is not possible to meet a good teacher and good friend, because of the habit of not getting to the bottom of it, there are shortcomings, inadvertently pushing the practitioner to forget their duties and degrade. . This made the seniors worried and disheartened... So in the meetings, they reminded and confided in the monastic that they must live in harmony and especially have to seek reconciliation. With this spirit, you will practice together, learn together, and build a Buddhist house that is growing day by day. With this spirit no wind will move. Therefore, monastics are forced to take the entrance exam to the Buddha school, with very strict conditions called the Great Precepts, so the Buddha said: "The precepts are the life span of the Buddhadharma, while the precepts remain, the Buddhadharma remains intact. .” In Zen Lam Bao Tu, it is written: Nothing is more precious than the Way, nothing is more beautiful than virtue. In this world "Moral" is a sacred treasure. The outer beauty of the form cannot be compared with the inner beauty of the glass. A virtuous person is the most beautiful person in the world. Ethics are beautiful virtues, exemplary virtues, rules, and golden rulers are the things that need to be practiced by a cultivator, not only helping the cultivator to live with the true value of a person but also conditions must be present and sufficient for the practice and cultivation of the virtues of both lay people to progress to sage status. Bodhisattvas and ultimately Buddha status, because the Buddha said: "I am the Buddha has become, sentient beings are Buddhas will become." The necessary condition for wisdom is to study diligently, practice diligently, study here is different from worldly learning, so there are nouns and knowledge. Cultivation and learning must always go hand in hand, inseparable on the path to enlightenment and liberation. The path of world learning brings people to the extreme of wealth, material things, but does not bring birth and death, so it cannot be compared with Buddhist studies. Only the righteous path can lead people to attain ultimate wisdom, understand the truth, the truth of the universe, human life, and escape all the bonds of suffering. It is said: Studying Buddhism is the supreme enjoyment of human life. Studying Buddhism is not only in the scriptures, through the teacher's teachings, but also in society, in all things, in all species. Because all beings are my teachers, there is an old saying: "Of the three, one is my teacher." Being ashamed is knowing how to look back on one's own mistakes in Buddhism, which is knowing good and bad qualities, which is also a virtue of a cultivator. A cultivator must live honestly with himself and with others, because the Vimalakirti Sutra calls it direct mind, which means that he must live honestly with his heart. It is a virtue to bring cultivators to Truth, Goodness and Beauty. The Buddha further taught that "Conquering oneself is the most glorious victory". As in the Shurangama Sutra recorded. The Buddha taught that nothing is lacking. Newly ordained young people cannot be compared with long-time monastics despite having high positions and 'greater' qualifications than the elderly because it is respect for the elderly, politeness, and basic morality. of a human, Because "the Buddhas in the ten directions in the three times of the three generations who have achieved the ultimate enlightenment are all due to their sincere and upright hearts". If you are not honest, you will not be able to achieve enlightenment. Those who study Buddhism and know how to practice and skillfully use humility and patience in cultivation will benefit greatly. With our reverence, respect, concern, and concern, people will understand each other better, and love each other more, thus avoiding many disadvantages, internal divisions, no loss of brotherhood and The six-harmony system was established, but it also showed the wisdom of no-self. Always remember your buddha nature and remember to try to practice in accordance with the teachings of those who have gone before. The more humble you are, the more you will increase the merit of enlightenment and you will be able to 'win' those who are superior to you because of your humility. On the contrary, there are bad qualities such as lying, dishonesty, drawing more and less... bad qualities are not trusted in society, let alone in the Buddha's school, so in the Vimalakirti Sutra it is repeated again and again, "Direct heart is the bodhisattva's ashram, because All three lifetimes of the Buddhas, who have achieved the ultimate enlightenment, are also from the heart of sincerity and uprightness.” The ego or self has no form but is extremely subtle, very difficult to detect. , always lurks in the mind so that when we are negligent, it controls the whole universe and everything. Each of our words and actions is controlled by it without our knowledge, those who do not know how to cultivate it will make mistakes. We are controlled by our hidden self, so there is a verse: No one makes excuses with the ego No one is as cunning as the self No one is as evil as the ego No one is as cruel as the self… Get down on this ego It's you who make me SUFFER. There is an old saying: "If you respect your teacher, you will become a teacher". This is the inevitable cause and effect from ancient times to the present day, the network of causes and effects is subtly intertwined, but because we can't see it, we have a contemptuous mind. From the Avatamsaka Sutra, it helps learners to have a perfect view and knowing: "This seeing and knowing is the full and bright seeing of bodhisattvas, so we have to study where good knowledge is born. teach me the most, the easiest to understand.” Consistency is equally important. Because of its close and practical nature in life, especially in monasteries, or monasteries, Therefore, there is a saying "Beautiful Sangha harmony, vow to live a mindful life", as well as in society there is a sentence "One tree should not be young, three trees together become a high mountain". In that place people live together, rely on, help each other, embrace each other. There are times when we need to confide in a subtle way, we cannot confide in teachers, we can also share with our brothers, learn together, exchange and sympathize easily. than. As brothers and sisters studying in the same house of Buddhism as the spirit mountain of flesh and blood, being a relative of the common Bodhi Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, the son of the Great Power, Tich Mo, there is no reason to not feel sorry for him. love each other, because we are 'bone and flesh' of the Dharma assembly of Linh Son, relatives of enlightenment. Going forth is to cut off love from the body to join a new home. with a new friendship to move to a higher place than to be freed from the cycle of birth and death. Attachment to the world is a place where suffering is bound, it cannot be called a spirit mountain. If you are not aware of this, after leaving home, you should not adopt your father, adoptive mother, or sworn brother, which is contrary to the Buddha's law. Love is just guiding each other on the path of enlightenment and liberation. The Sangha is highly regarded as one of the three precious gems that is the model of humans and gods. For lay people they are exemplary, respectable, their spiritual leader, a golden ruler for them to follow. Therefore, it is not advisable to break the image of the monastic and negatively affect the Sangha, and conversely, we do not think because of an inadvertent error that the whole Zen subject is considered a should not. Also, Once upon a time, the Blessed One saw the image of a monk who was too elegant and free to leave home, so also Venerable Sariputta, seeing a good general and Bhikkhu Ma Thang, attained Tuda completion and entered the stream. saints, are all due to the noble nobleman's noble and compassionate demeanor. The purpose of ordination is "Understanding the Buddha's way, lowering sentient beings." The person who is selected for the school to recruit the Buddha is the person who can join the ranks of the Sangha, who is blessed with good fortune, leaves the worldly home, and is far away from family feelings. family, must shave their hair and go to the temple to stay with the monks to study the Dharma. Usually divided into: Out of the house of afflictions, Out of the secular house, Out of the three worlds. It is difficult for lay Buddhists to leave the secular home because they are still busy with their families. Therefore, the Buddha invented the practice of Eight Quan Trai, which means going out of the secular home to practice one day and one night to create merit, increase blessings, cause people to leave home in the future. Although we practice for a day, we must also adhere to the rules of the monastic such as: eating on time, just quiet on time, when to chant sutras, when to recite Buddha's name, to meditate, to discharge meditation... all the same. People leave home for 24 hours before they give up their precepts…We must make a vow not to let our sorrows and sorrows make us suffer, provided that we have to control our emotions, and not let external pollution tempt us… Renunciation the Buddha also divided. The result is as follows: Body leaves home but mind doesn't leave home Body doesn't leave home but mind leaves home Renunciation Body and mind leave home Body and mind don't leave home. The lay Buddhist is responsible for upholding the right dharma with the five precepts, the eight precepts, and the ten virtues. A monastic person has a different appearance from a lay person, also known as a heterogeneous mind, that is, they have to shave their hair, enter the temple to join the Sangha, live in the temple and study the Dharma with the criterion that they must take wisdom as a career. aspiration - Praying for the Buddha's Way - Lowering sentient beings - Having to practice in order to pass on the Buddha's teachings to Buddhists and especially to save all sentient beings. A monastic person who has enough grace to enter a monastery, leaving behind his family, worldly pleasures, and career without protecting the six senses is a waste. It is much easier for lay Buddhists to practice, without heavy responsibilities, even though we say that, we also have to convert the people in the house, then the neighbors all know the Buddha's teachings, especially elderly parents. do not know the Way, so that when you die, you can be at peace. Once upon a time, the Buddha taught the bhikkhus very carefully: To wear clothes made of coarse cloth, clothes to lose color, Must go for alms, Must sleep under a tree, Medicines are special medicines. These things the Buddha taught the mind to be equal, the mind to want little, to know enough. Now, the monastic "happy" much more, do not have to beg and sleep in the forest, only one thing is to study seriously, then the master is "happy". The benefit of the monastic is to get rid of afflictions, extinguish ignorance, give up greed, hatred and delusion, attain non-birth, dharma-forbearance, and be free from birth and death. That is the ultimate work and thanks to that, the whole family is imbued with that virtue. Young monastic people need to look at the true respects with a humble manner, feel small, should not be conceited when they have advanced degrees... Great Master Lien Tri taught: "The higher the intellect, the higher the wisdom. , the greater the obstacles, the more difficult it is to achieve cultivation. "That's why we can't take the ordinary wisdom of the world and measure it. He also added that: 'People without morality, how can they become monks and nuns'' There must be a basis. If you build a foundation of morality, it will be solid and will not collapse later. Just by looking at that person's behavior towards the people around him, you can tell if this person can cultivate or not. Morality is not the great big thing but the smallest and closest things in our life. The Patriarchs taught us to "chew well" to "digest" the class of words the Buddhas and Patriarchs wanted to convey. There are many people, because they are so smart, they are obstructed by their broad understanding in their practice. Can it be called "faculty of tribulation"? Because of his broad knowledge and intelligence, he is often thought to be overtaken by people… New to the religion, especially those who are about to leave home, are very nervous… for many reasons such as finding a guru, practicing which method is appropriate and correct. Buddha's principle is the middle way. What is the Middle Way? In order for the ordination to be favorable, we must follow the instructions of the masters that we choose to be the guru, that is, all must follow the teacher's will to have achievements: Step 1: Purity of the three karmas is the fundamental foundation. In order to enter the Way, one must always keep, protect, and protect his body, mouth, and mind. This is an important first step in learning whether monastic or layperson. The Patriarchs taught: In the past, if you practice less, you will attain enlightenment more. Today, when you practice a lot, few people attain enlightenment. because they don't follow the rules, they go to the ashram for a group of five, three talk about non-profits, learn but don't understand, and understand but don't practice. Step 2: Examine the body and mind. This is an important step, in the practice of contemplation and cultivation in real life, the Buddha taught in the Migration Sutra, "To rely on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness Sutra, is to observe the body and mind. This is the core of Buddhism.” Step 3: Keeping the 6 senses, in daily life we need to preserve and protect the six senses in every moment. Step 4: Mindfulness and awareness. Being aware of everything that is happening is called that body and mind, because the practice is encapsulated, so the Buddha also called the awakening path. In the mind of a practitioner must be aware in the present moment, every gesture, action, and deed is under control and clear perception, so it is called mindfulness and awareness in the four positions. All are due to the utmost mindfulness and awareness, so they reach the unobstructed world of dharma. Mindfulness and awareness must go hand in hand with the present bliss to be truly true. In fact, the temple or the coniferous forest is also a quiet place now, the rest is up to us whether we will practice or not, because most of us are never satisfied with the present. And the final step is to live in a remote place, eliminate defilements, remove all obstacles, and achieve ultimate accomplishment. This is the way of practice of monastics to enlightenment, which we can master so that we can apply it in daily life, whether we are monastics or lay people. In summary, the morality of the monastic is the great tradition and principle of the Buddha, we who are post-born must also follow this path to reach Nirvana, otherwise, we will enter the path of birth and death by ourselves. . All Buddhas in the ten directions up to Maitreya Buddha as well as future Buddhas must practice like this.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.24/9/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.24/9/2021.
