[X- DISCUSSION ON ESSENTIAL TO DRINK] 10. « Maṇḍapeyyakathā  » 1. [86] Bhikkhus, this blessed life is the quintessence to drink in the presence of the Guru. (S ii 29)  2. There are three types of quintessence to drink in the presence of the guru: the essence of preaching, the quintessence of the receiver and the quintessence of the blessed life. 3. What is the  essence of preaching *  ? Is a statement, lecture, statement, set up, open, explain, interpret four noble truths; statements, teachings, declarations, setting, opening, interpretation and interpretation of the four foundations of mindfulness; ... four righteous efforts, ... four foundations of magical power, ... five influential capacities, ... five forces, ... seven factors that constitute enlightenment; eight saints. This is the essence of preaching. *  desanāmaṇḍa 4. Unmoving because distraction is the quintessence of mindfulness, distraction is scum ... Unmoving because of knife action is the quintessence of concentration, oscillation is scum ... Establishment is the quintessence of the factors that make up the enlightenment of contemplation, distraction is scum; ... [and so on with the seven factors that constitute enlightenment and their antagonistic factors until] ... Thought is the quintessence of the element that creates enlightenment of calmness, not thought is the residue any residue (meaning) of the meaning in it, any essence of the concept in it, any essence of the pepper in it is the drink. Seeing clearly as the quintessence of right understanding, wrong perception is scum; ... [and so on with the eight branches of the holy path until] ... [90] Without distraction is the quintessence of concentration, wrong concentration is scum, whatever the essence (taste) of the meaning in it, any essence of the concept in it, any essence of pepper in it is food to drink. 8. See clearly that the quintessence of right view, focus on mind is the quintessence of right thought, preserve the word that is the quintessence of right speech, the source of arising is the quintessence of righteous action, make purification the quintessence of right livelihood, effort is the essence of right effort, establishing the quintessence of mindfulness, without distraction being the quintessence of right concentration. Establishing is the quintessence of the factors that constitute the enlightenment of contemplation; understanding is the quintessence of the factors forming the enlightenment of seeking truth; chan is the quintessence of pitisukha's enlightenment, tranquility is the quintessence of the element that makes up the enlightenment of tranquility, without distraction is the quintessence of the factor that makes up the enlightenment of concentration, thought is the quintessence of the element that makes up the enlightenment of serenity. The unwavering because of not believing is the quintessence of the faith, the immobility because of laziness is the quintessence of the force, the unshakiness for distraction is the quintessence of mindfulness, the unshakeable because of oscillation is the quintessence of concentration, unwavering because ignorance is the quintessence of wisdom. Both determination is the quintessence of the capacity to influence the credit; effort is the quintessence of the capacity to influence tons; set up is the quintessence of the capacity to influence mindfulness, not distracted is the quintessence of the capacity to influence concentration, clearly the quintessence of the capacity to influence wisdom. In the sense of prevailing, the capacity to influence is elite; according to the unwavering, forces are the quintessence; in the sense of escape, the factors that create enlightenment are the quintessence; in the causal sense, the path is the essence; in the established sense, the foundations of mindfulness are the essence, in the sense of effort, the chief effort is the essence; in the sense of success, the foundation of achievement is the quintessence; in the true sense of the word (reality), the Truths are the quintessence. [2] In the sense of not distracting, tranquility is the quintessence, in the sense of visualization, the true nature is the essence. In the sense of the only effect (taste), tranquility and contemplation of the essence is essence. In the sense of not exceeding each other, double waves are the quintessence. In the end, the purification of gender is the quintessence, in the sense of not scattering, purifying the mind is the quintessence; in a clear sense, purifying the viewpoint is elite; [91] in the sense of liberation, liberation is the quintessence; in the sense of clear understanding, the wise mind is the quintessence; in the sense of giving up, pepper knife is elite; in the cut sense, the mind of destruction is the quintessence. In the sense of having its roots as its foundation, desire is the essence; in the sense of origin, attention is given to the essence; in the sense of coordination, contact is the quintessence; in the sense of meeting place, experience is the essence; in the first sense, concentration is the essence; in the dominant sense, mindfulness is the essence; in the highest sense, wisdom is the essence; in the core sense, pepper knife is the quintessence; in the sense of ending, nibbana comes from no longer samsara is the essence.
