After the Buddha's death in other lands, there is always a period of time ..., this time is not the same. Normally speaking, like our Saha world, Shakyamuni Buddha has passed away, Bodhisattva Bodhi is still in Tusita heaven. When his life span in Tusita heaven ends, he will come to this world and manifest as a Buddha. Life in Tusat heaven is very long, We know that one day in Tusat heaven is 400 years in our human world. Buddha in the sutra tells us, one day in Dao Loi heaven is 100 years of our human world, life expectancy in Dao Loi heaven is 1000 years old. Life expectancy in the night sky is double, one day in the night sky is 200 years in our human world, the life span is two thousand years. The Tusat Heaven is doubled, one day of the Tusat Heaven is 400 years of our human life, the lifespan is 4000 years. If you try to calculate it, you will know that a day is equal to 400 years, a year is also counted as 365 days, life expectancy is 4000 years. Therefore, in the Maitreya Sutra, it is said that roughly the life span of the Tusita heaven, if we say that the age of the world's people is 56, 7 thousand thousand years. After 56,700 thousand years, Maitreya Bodhisattva was born from Tusita heaven and came to our world, manifesting as a Buddha. Tu Suat is a triune heaven, where the Bodhisattva Bodhisatta dwells. So in this world of ours, to be honest, the time with Buddha is very little, the time without Buddha in the world is very long. You see, Shakyamuni Buddha's dharma was only 12,000 years old, and Maitreya Bodhisattva took 56,70,000 years to be born. During that period of long, dark nights, sentient beings suffered greatly. But Buddha and Bodhisattva are very compassionate, after Shakyamuni Buddha's dharma has passed away, before Maitreya Bodhisattva has not appeared, what to do at this time? We see in the Ksitigarbha Sutra that Shakyamuni Buddha entrusted Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to save sentient beings on behalf of the Buddha. The mission of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is really great, for such a long time to help these suffering beings. Then we can see, the Western world of Ultimate Bliss is so different from us here. When Amitabha Buddha appeared to enter Nirvana, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara immediately manifested as Buddha. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva became a Buddha, that world is not called the Ultimate Bliss world, but is called the Universal Treasures Collection Ornament the world, the name of Guan Yin Bodhisattva is Universal Light Gong Duc Son King Tathagata. Shakyamuni Buddha made a prediction to us, which is the matter of countless eons to come. Amitabha Buddha is immeasurable, Amitabha Buddha became a Buddha until now, only ten kalpas, or in other words, not long ago he became a Buddha. The world of Ultimate Bliss is so formidable, that Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara is manifesting as Buddha. After the passing of Universal Light, Duc Son King Tathagata, Bodhisattva Dai The Chi next appeared as a Buddha. At that time, it was not called Great World Chi Bodhisattva, but called Thien Chu Cong Duc Bao Vuong Tathagata. There is no equal victory in the true merit of Bao Vuong. You see, Countless kalpas and countless kalpas of cultivating merit, this is an example for us to see, why can't we try our best to cut off evil, cultivate good, and accumulate merit? Although the bodhisattva's dharmakaya has attained the pinnacle of his mind, still for all sentient beings manifest virtue, this is compassion to the end. They teach us, set an example for us to see, if we are not enlightened, we cannot understand, how can we be worthy of the Buddha and Bodhisattva who appeared for us. speak? Again see a paragraph behind "submit to Shakyamuni Buddha's teachings", saying that Shakyamuni Buddha 49 years of teaching the sutras and speaking the Dharma, "Only Hoa Nghiem clears the nature of the most perfect birth, the most perfect child, the perfect man, the rule of law. At the end of the world, the sage and behavior of the people, the ten great vows of the kings of the island, return to the Ultimate Bliss, let them try and encourage the cultivation of Hoa Tang Hai Sangha, Tu Chi and Tu Chi". I have also told you many times, meticulously, but thinking, I am not a good root, not a beneficial root, reluctant to say, I am an average root. Practically speaking, being blessed by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gives me a long life, if I didn't have it, in this life I could say there would be no achievement. Why is that? In the past, I followed Master Ly, and he gave me all advice to practice the Pure Land method, even talking about him looking at many of their great and virtuous ancestors, their virtue, morality, and education. In fact, we can't compare, this is the real thing. The Compendium of Great Master Idiot, we can't write it, So Sao of Great Master Lien Tri, we can't write it either. These people of great wisdom, these people of great virtue, they all recite the Buddha's name and seek birth in the Pure Land. Here is Master Li giving an example to tell us, If this method is not true, then why are so many great patriarchs and so many great intellectuals going this way? Master Li said, we are also wrong without seeing it. Saying this to advise me, I am very grateful, but absolutely do not wholeheartedly study this method. When scrutinized in the sutras and carefully examined, it was unbelievable that Thien Tai Dong Tu practiced the method of reciting the Buddha's name. Thien Tai Dong Tu's teacher, Bodhisattva Manjushri also made a vow to be born in the Pure Land. He made a vow similar to that of Bodhisattva Manjushri, almost exactly the same. Manjushri, Universal Hien all seek to be born in the Pure Land, Thien Tai is a student of Manju's satisfaction, if a student is satisfied if he cannot inherit the teacher's wish, then he is not a disciple of the Dharma. Meticulously observing Thien Tai Dong Tu going out to study, met the first monk, the monk Kiet Tuong Van (Hoa Nghiem 80 called Duc Van, Hoa Nghiem 40 called Kiet Tuong Van) taught him the method of reciting the Buddha's name. The practice method of Bhikkhu Kiet Tuong Van is what we now call Ban Chu Tam Muoi, reciting Amitabha Buddha to seek birth in the Pure Land. Good knowledge first, the meaning of this expression is very deep. The ancients often said, the first entry into the master, Thien Tai Dong Tu, the first thing is to practice the Dharma of reciting the Buddha's name, "first enter the vi master". Looking back at the last thing, at the end of the 53 consultations is Bodhisattva Universal Worthy of the ten great vows of kings who seek to be born in Ultimate Bliss. I immediately understood, Bhikkhu Kiet Tuong Van started, Bodhisattva Universal Hien, at the end, from beginning to end, what kind of Dharma does good talent practice? Buddhist practice. That's why at that moment I was wholehearted, no longer doubtful, no longer hesitant, I understood. Let alone Van Thu, Samantabhadra advised the 41 Dharma Body Great Beings of the Huazhong world, that is, the Hoa Tang group, all of whom aspired to be born in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Again seeing Vairocana Tathagata, are all appearances for us to see, Vairocana Tathagata rejoices. He did not say, Manjushri, Universal Worthy, why did you drag all our people away? They've all gone, taken all the people in my ashram, they've all gone to the Western world of Ultimate Bliss, so what's the point? In this world of ours, this misunderstanding will definitely happen, needless to say that you take everyone's people away, even taking one or two people won't forgive you, especially smart people who take advantage of public affairs. As a monk, if you take them away without the consent of the old monk of this temple, then you have done it wrong. But in the world of Hoa Tang, we trust Manjushri, Samantabhadra, certain consent of Vairocana, and permission of Vairocana, everyone should go. Why? Going to the Land of Ultimate Bliss and becoming a Buddha is fast, much faster than the world of Hoa Tang, shortening the time. Vairocana Buddha does not have a private heart, Buddhas and Buddhas are all together, the Buddhas only have one wish, to hope that everyone will quickly become a Buddha. There is nothing faster than going to the world of Ultimate Bliss close to Amitabha Buddha. So Manjushri, Universal Hien led 41 great dharmakayas to be reborn in the world of Ultimate Bliss, and Buddha Vairocana rejoiced. This is what we need to understand this principle. If we know that other ashrams have good and genuine knowledge, we are not as good as them, we fellow initiates should go to them, we should be happy, the neighbors are right, not wrong at all. In the past, when I preached sutras in Taipei, there were some fellow practitioners, student of the major class, where I listened to lectures for two to three years. They came to tell me, Wizard! I want to get close to Master Li. Very good! This man is smart! I learned from Master Li, you can get close to my teacher, so I can't even ask for it. This is the true Tathagata who has this predestined relationship, should be friendly and knowledgeable first-class. In all Buddha lands, this is all recognized by all Buddhas, the best and best knowledge is Amitabha Buddha, Amitabha Buddha's light, the king of all Buddhas, so you just need to develop your mind and body. If you are close to Amitabha Buddha and wish to be born in the world of Ultimate Bliss, all the Buddhas like Tathagatas will support you, you are so smart, you have made the right choice. I say this to you, every sentence is a truth, so this part of the announcement, we have to think a lot. The next paragraph, "Written by the Concubine," The great master Idow lamented, “Alas! The worldly man proves to be a source of complementarity, is extremely vocal in his talk, and can't be measured." First of all, let's say this sentence, the great master Lien Tri commented that when writing to this point, he himself was very impressed, it is clear that ordinary people, a level of affliction has not been stopped, bringing karma to be reborn in the Western Pole world. Lac, Realm of Saints, Co-dwelling, even though they have listed the certificate of complementarity, they are not really blessed, they live together with the bodhisattva of addition. If it is not the bodhisattva bodhisattva, they cannot live together, why are they ordinary people living together with bodhisattva bodhisattva? Living together with the bodhisattva bodhisattva base is almost the same as bodhisattva bodhisattva. "Extremely talkative hymn". This word "extraordinary" is rare, never heard of, never seen, indeed, the world of Ultimate Bliss has this. The word "talk", talk sutras, talk about religion, to the extreme point, the praise of the great master Nuu Ich is the fact that this incident is true, not fake. "Hua Nghiem department, refuse at trial". The Buddhas uttered all the sutras, and the Bodhisattvas practiced the first dharma. There are two sentences in here that I wrote, I also got a little bit of enlightenment right here. We read that in the Flower Adornment Sutra, the last of the ten great vows to return to Ultimate Bliss is to return to Infinite Life. The Sutra of Infinite Life, the ancients said, is the core of the Flower Adornment Sutra. The Pure Land three sutras, the Immeasurable Life Sutra is the first. If we use three parts to say that it is the title part of the scriptures, the main sect, and the circulation part, then the Infinite Life Sutra is the main part of the Pure School, and the Amitabha Sutra is the circulating part of the Pure School. This sutta, the Blessed One advises us four times to aspire to be born in the Pure Land, which is truly inconceivable. The ancients used to say, one, two, two, three, three, four, four times advising rebirth. The final return of the Avatamsaka Sutra is to the Western world of Ultimate Bliss. The Amitabha Sutra is the small Amitabha Sutra, the Amitabha Sutra is the Great Amitabha Sutra. Layman Vuong Long Thu gathered to practice the Sutra of Infinite Life, and immediately called it the Great Amitabha Sutra. His subject matter was the same topic. Therefore, it is true that the Buddhas said the first sutra, the first Dharma disciple of Bodhisattvas. "Children of the ancient world, trusting and doubting, remaining only with a heart and bloodthirsty child". These are the words of Master Nieu Ich, honestly it is a painful feeling to say. People in the past have believed very few people, many people have doubted, the great master Nieu Ich honestly talked about this place, thinking about this place, it was really painful to the extreme. It is clear that in this life you can forever escape from samsara and become a Buddha, without waiting for the second life, but in this life, a perfect life, because you are reborn. Reincarnation is living but leaving, not dying but leaving, so I often say, this method is called the method of not dying, it is truly not dead. You see, when the predestined weather is ripe, the person who is reborn sees Amitabha Buddha coming to greet them and say goodbye to everyone, "The Buddha has come, I will follow him to the Land of Ultimate Bliss", then immediately go. Live and leave. How about after you go? This rotten leather bag is no longer needed, then throw it away, give it up completely, go to the Land of Ultimate Bliss, they change a body, and as soon as they come to the Western World of Ultimate Bliss, the lotus flower turns into birth. This lotus is planted by myself, not someone else. Including all sentient beings, as long as they sincerely aspire to be born in the Pure Land, the world of Ultimate Bliss in the seven-jeweled pond will sprout a flower bud, which is the lotus. Your faith is firm, diligent in reciting the Buddha's name, this flower in the lotus pond grows bigger and bigger, the bigger the bigger. When his life was over, Amitabha Buddha immediately took this lotus flower to welcome you. This flower is your own, not made by someone else, the flower face also has their name on it, it can't be wrong. As soon as you step into the lotus, your body is exactly like the Buddha, not from a child gradually growing up. In the Western world, the world is equal, and if you let go of the body, what kind of body do you get? The golden body color is really golden, the general is good and bright, and the Buddha and Bodhisattva Bodhisattva are not different, really equal. This is due to Amitabha Buddha in the past in human practice of the Bodhisattva path, this we in the Infinite Life Sutra read through this historical passage, he has interviewed over 210 million Buddha lands. 210 million is the expression of not the number of letters, which in Tantra represents the great perfection, that is, it is said throughout the world of space and space, all the buddha lands, He did not miss any realm, he all studied through. The advantages of each world, he all learns, all the defects he discards, so the achievement of the world of Ultimate Bliss is the collection of advantages throughout the void dharma world, all the buddha lands, the world. The realm of Ultimate Bliss has no defects. This has given us a great revelation, Amitabha Buddha created the Western world of Ultimate Bliss not by self-created self-doors, not by in-house thinking and design, but by learning. This is true education, genuine education, of course in our Saha world, he must have gone to. In the Saha world, all beings are born with different appearances. A good appearance is a problem for money. What's the brain? Arrogant. Appearance is not good, troubles also show money. What's the brain? Self-doubt is very heavy. We are all very clear about this. Amitabha Buddha's world of Ultimate Bliss knows this, so his place includes all those who are reborn, and there is absolutely no such affliction. Why? Everyone has the same appearance, no one has a good appearance like them, there are no defects, all are the same, have the same physique, the same height, the same height, the same weight, the same body shape. together. If that's the case, then we have a problem. What's the problem? So when we want to find someone, how do we know who it is because we all grow up the same. This we have a lot of worries, why is that? We don't have wisdom, we don't have wisdom eyes, we don't have supernatural powers, but everyone in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss has supernatural powers, so we can't admit the wrong person. Including everyone, the appearance is exactly like Amitabha Buddha, but they definitely can't get the wrong person. Each person reborn, the appearance is the same, they will not recognize the wrong person. It's inconceivable. Therefore, after reading this passage, we should make a vow, that is, in the Buddhist scriptures many times we are advised, we should make a vow to be reborn, we should be reborn in that country. Looking again at the next paragraph, in the chapter Universal Virtue of Happiness, the Flower Adornment Sutra, there is a passage that says: "The vision of humanity is passing away, it is necessary to have all senses, all stages of decay, and the will to be familiar is majestic and majestic. Preservation, all dispersal." We say this paragraph first, what is this paragraph about? When a person's life span comes, when he dies, all the roots are destroyed, that is, it doesn't work. When a person is dead, his eyes cannot see, his ears cannot hear, his nose cannot breathe, and his tongue cannot move. The body cannot move. That is all the senses are corrupted, ineffective, the power of the six senses is lost, this is your self. What about objects outside your body? Your relatives, your relatives, you also have to leave. Magnificent is to say your position, your power, even if your position of power is at its peak, you are king, but at that time you will not be king, your life will come to an end. then, the king must also give up, the power must also give up. Horse statue is a transportation tool in the past, the transportation tool that you use, the traffic tool of today, you have a car, have a yacht, even if you have a private plane at home, you can't bring it. go, all can not be taken. Treasure your wealth, you have collected a lot of treasures, but nothing can be taken away, all perish. For you, all cannot be taken away, all belong to others, this requires enlightenment. In the sutras, Buddha often reminds us that "you can't bring anything, only karma with you". All things outside the body, if you yourself are clear and thorough, know that it is definitely not your own, you don't have anything, not even this body, the body must corrupt, so in this world, on the Prajnaparamita Sutra it is very well said, "All dharmas do not possess, all are empty, cannot be", that is the truth. If you think you can get it, you still have to fight, then you are wrong. If you fight for it, the future can't be taken away, and it creates immeasurable and boundless karma, there are many enlightened people in this world, How many honest people suddenly awakened? Those who are enlightened in this worldly dharma have all given up, including the body, without exception, and are bound to have no attachments. "Only willing king, not mutually relinquished, necessarily in the middle, leading the way in a period of time, in a moment of time, ie attaining rebirth in the Land of Ultimate Bliss". What does this place say? What you can take away is good karma, bad karma, pure karma, these three types of karma will follow you. Truly enlightened people end their bad karma, and although they practice good karma, they decide not to be attached. No attachment turns into pure karma, attachment turns into good karma. Attachment will result in retribution in the three good paths, without attachment you have to dedicate yourself to seek rebirth in the Pure Land, your retribution immediately transcends the three realms, transcends the ten dharma realms, and won't be equal. What do the ten great vow kings teach us? You must know that the first thing that teaches us reverence is to pay respects to the Buddhas. The second teaches us to praise. Confess goodness, resolve not to say mistakes, see any mistakes, absolutely do not say, must cultivate one's own goodwill, good will, and good conduct, without making mistakes. This is praising the Tathagata. The third thing teaches us to give alms and to make offerings, "to make offerings". The fourth thing teaches us to repent of our karma. We have karma to repent. The fifth teaches us to rejoice in merit. Rejoicing in merit is very important, all sentient beings have a envious mind. Rejoicing in merit is breaking down the envious mind, seeing that others have a good place, often without the slightest envious mind. force to help them, achieve for them, that is rejoicing in merit. How much merit they have, If we rejoice in our merit, we are just like them, and their merit is not diminished at all. Just like they are a burning wax lamp, we have an unlit wax lamp, we let their light light up our candle, the light of their candle will not be damaged. It's a bit disappointing, after I light this lamp, the lights shine on each other, depending on the merit. Friday is to turn the wheel of Dharma. Saturday is to ask Buddha to stay in the world. Sometimes turning the wheel of dharma, asking Buddha to stay in the world is not for oneself, but for the benefit of sentient beings. We meet the true and good knowledge, sentient beings do not know, we know, we know, we ask instead, we must ask for the sentient beings of this area, instead of the sentient beings of this world, ask for good knowledge for them. We preach the Dharma. The fate is ripe, We must invite this good knowledge to dwell in this area of ours. Good knowledge often resides in this area, the people here are blessed. Truthful knowledge is supported by the Buddhas, the gods and goddesses, they are right here, don't everyone enjoy it, don't they all have blessings? This is a person who must be honest and wise, a person of merit and virtue who understands the invitation. The ten vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, in fact there are only seven vows, these seven are vows.
