Good and Evil Newspapers. *** XXIV. Lies Consists of six parts: Introductory, Pretending to be close, Using malicious intent, Pretending to be rich, Pretending to be courageous, Animals lying. XXIV.1. Great teachings without separation, precious in words right away. Therefore, speaking good words, thousands of miles away, there are people who respond; when speaking bad words, no one will listen even within a short distance. In the Dharma-ending world, people and dharmas both become deceitful, or rely on what is right to do wrong, or make falsehoods to turn it into truth. Because the human heart has right and wrong, so the dharma is fake, entangled in fame and gain, the greater the self. Relatives in front of them can't even rely on, let alone strangers, so it's hard to make friends. Therefore, in the sutras, it is taught: "Direction of mind is the path of enlightenment", that's right! XXIV.2. Pretending to be close to the Sutra of Treasures,[43] it says: "All deceit, falsehood, and deceit, outwardly appear to be upright, But inside there are hidden things. Therefore, a wise person must clearly distinguish between true and false. Once upon a time, there were brahmins who were old, but married young wives. Because she criticized her old husband, the wife begged her husband to hold a banquet to invite young and vigorous brahmins to attend. Suspecting his wife to have malicious intentions, the husband was not satisfied. One day, his step-son accidentally tripped and fell into the fire, the young wife saw it, but [148b] did not pull it out, the husband angrily shouted: – Why did you see the child fall but refused to pull it out? The wife immediately replied: - Since childhood, I have only been close to my husband, but have never been with any other man, so I can't drag this son? Hearing this, the old husband believed it to be true, so he threw a large banquet and invited young brahmins to attend. Now, when he saw his wife having an affair with them, he was very angry, and took all the treasures, leave his wife. On the way, he met a brahmin and made friends. In the evening, the two slept together, and set off again in the morning. The other brahmin said: - Last night's sleeping place had a leaf stuck to my shirt. Since I was a child, I have never taken anything from anyone, I want to return it to its owner. Wait here, I'll come back after I pay. Hearing this, the old brahmin became more and more trusting and respectful, so he was willing to wait. The brahmin lied to bring leaves into the slot and lay down to play, and came back a while later to say that he had paid. At that time, the old brahmin was sick with urine, so he took the treasure and sent it to the other brahmin. The time has come, the other person grabbed the treasure and fled. Knowing that the thief had stolen his treasure, the old brahmin was very angry and regretful. Then on his way again, he stopped to rest under a tree. Seeing the crane, with a blade of grass in its mouth, said to the other birds: – We love each other, so we gather in one place! At that time, the other birds believed in the truth, so they flew over and gathered. After the birds leave the nest, the crane flies to peck the eggs to eat. When he saw the other birds returning, he would eat grass again. Knowing that the crane was cheating, they all left. Then, at the same tree, he saw a monastic outsider, wearing a patchwork shirt, walking slowly, saying: - Beings, stay away! Seeing that, the old brahmin asked: – Why did you say 'avoid' while walking? The outsider replied: - As a monk, I pity all. The reason I say that is because I am afraid of hurting the ants. Hearing this, the old brahmin believed it to be true, so in the evening he went to his house. Arriving at the place, I only heard singing and dancing and saw a woman come out from the cellar in the room to have fun with non-Buddhist monks, in the sound of singing and playing. Seeing that, The old brahmin thought, 'All things in the world are untrustworthy', and said in verse: Don't touch other men Bring grass back to the owner Fake crane sucking grass Out here afraid of harm Mouth always say avoid Lies like that [148c] Not believable The afterlife suffers incalculable”. Therefore, the Nirvana Sutra states: "The Buddha said: As in the old verse I used to say: All rivers, All have bends, All forests, All have precious wood. All women, All are deceitful, All are not entangled. Just be happy. XXIV.3. Using malicious intent to harm the Sutra of Treasures, says: "Devada used all kinds of methods to kill the Buddha, but failed. When a brahmin from Nam Thien Truc who was very good at incantations and concocts of poison came, Devadatta asked him to make a concoction, and then sprinkled it on the Buddha himself, but was blown away by the wind. fell back on his head, so he lost consciousness, fell to the ground dying, no cure. Ananda said to the Buddha: - Bach Duc World-Honored One! Devadatta was poisoned and was about to die! Out of compassion, the Buddha told Ananda the truth: - From the time I practiced the Bodhisattva path until I became a Buddha, I often had compassion on Devadatta, not holding any grudges. If that's the case, the poison will go away on its own. As soon as he finished speaking, the poison was immediately cured. Seeing that, the bhikkhus said: - Very rare! Bach Duc World-Honored One! Devadatta always had a bad heart towards the Tathagata, so why did the Tathagata save lives? The Buddha said: - Not only today Devadatta has malice towards me, but also in the past. The bhikkhus asked again: - Bach Duc World-Honored One! In the past, how did Devadatta hold a grudge against him? The Buddha said: 'In the past life, in the city of Benares, the country of Cathi, there were two prime ministers: one named Tuna, the other named Malice. Tuna often follows the law, but Malice always does evil, likes to scoff. One day, Malice told the king: – Tuna wants to rebel. The king immediately sent people to arrest Tuna. At that time, the gods and good gods in the middle of nowhere said: - This sage is indeed not guilty, why arrest him? The second time, Malice robbed the king's storehouse, then blamed it on Tuna, so the king no longer believed in it, so he ordered Malice to be handed over to Tuna to be judged. Tuna immediately advised Malice to come and repent to the king. Knowing that he was guilty, Malice immediately fled to the country of King Titus, and made a treasure box containing two poisonous snakes. If people see this snake, they will be harmed by poisonous gas. So Malice asked King Titus to send messengers to bring this treasure box to the king of Cathy and Tuna, saying: 'Only show these two people, do not let others see'. Looking at the beautiful jeweled box, the king was very happy, and immediately sent Tuna to open the box to see. Tuna said: – Objects brought from afar should not be opened by yourself, [149a] food brought from afar should not be eaten in a hurry. Why? Because there are evil people in that country who can use poisonous things to harm us. King said: - But I want to see! Tuna graciously intervened three times, but the king still insisted on seeing. Seeing that, Tu-na said: - Dear King! If you don't believe me, I'll open it up for you, I don't dare! As soon as he opened the box, the king was blinded by poison. Tuna was very sad and pitiful, and immediately sent people to all four directions to find good medicine to treat the king. The king was restored to the way he was. The king at that time was Sariputra, Tuna was I, and Malice was Devadatta." XXIV.4. A wealthy scholar of the Law of the Sangha[44] records: "The Buddha told the monks: - In the past, in the city of Benares, in the country of Cathi, there was a brahmin of a wide discipline named Put-- Lohe, the king's teacher, had five hundred students. At that time, the brahmin raised a servant named Calaha, whose duty was to provide utensils for the mediums. This servant has a smart personality, listening and remembering all the teachings. One day, the servant had a quarrel with his pupils, and immediately went to another country, pretending to be the son of the brahmin Pulohe of the country of Benares [45], whose name was Danhadat. multi. The servant came and said to the national teacher of this country: - I am the son of the brahmin Pulohe, the national teacher of the country of Ba-la-complaint, and purposely came here to study the brahmin law. The National Master said: - Okay! This intelligent servant, who had heard it before, heard it again today, so he remembered everything. This national teacher was very happy, and immediately asked to teach his five hundred students. He said: - You teach me, I have to take care of the government. This national teacher has no son, only a daughter, so he told his servants: - Hey Da Nhat-dad! If you obey, do not return to your country, I will give you my daughter in marriage. Dear: - Please obey. Then, they live in the same house, life is very full and happy. Being a fastidious person, whenever his wife makes food, Dhyana-datta often criticizes raw, unappetizing food. The wife thought: 'If someone comes from the country of Benares, I will ask them how to eat and drink from that country to provide for her husband'. At that time, when the brahmin Pulohe of that country heard about this, he thought, 'My servant Kalaha has fled to that country, I should go there to meet'. Brahmin immediately went to that country. At that time, the servant was walking in the garden with his students. Seeing the old master from afar, the servant was scared and whispered to his disciples: – Come back, [149b] each one of them memorized it. After the student returned, the servant came before the old master, bowed and said: - I came to this country, said that the giant[46] was my father, then followed the national teacher here to learn the scriptures. The national monk gave his daughter to her son. Today, please don't tell me about my business, I will do my duty as a servant and serve the giants. The brahmin master, who understood well the world, immediately said: - You are really my son, get up quickly! The servant immediately returned to his wife's house and said to everyone in the house: - My father has come. Hearing her husband say this, the wife rejoiced and made the food and drinks. When the food is finished, the wife, in her spare time, silently bows to the brahmin and says: - I serve my husband, cooking is often not satisfactory. Please teach me, when he was at home, what he used to eat for me to make food like that. The guest brahmin got angry and thought: 'This is so miserable for people's daughters', then said: - Get up quickly. Before I return, I will teach you a verse so that your husband will no longer speak. When the wife heard this, she rejoiced, departed, and returned to say to her husband: – His father came here on purpose from afar and had to return soon. The husband thought: 'As his wife said, let him go home early, don't let him stay here for long, lest he speak in an open-minded way, revealing great harm to me'. The husband immediately gave a lot of money, told his wife to make food, and then served the brahmin. The husband is the master [47], busy meeting friends, so he is not at home. After offering the food, the wife said goodbye and asked her father to say goodbye. So the brahmin immediately said: No father, go to another country, Lies and deceives people, Often eats bad things, Why criticizes good food? - Now I give you this verse. Whenever my husband gets angry, criticizes bad food, I stand to one side, with my back turned, and read the verse quietly enough for my husband to hear. After only teaching, the brahmin returned to his country. The servant saw his master off. After that, every time it was time to eat, her husband would get angry. The wife stood beside her, reading the verse. The husband listens to this verse, unhappy in his heart, thinking: 'Oh! This old man has told my bad things!' From that day on, the husband often spoke softly, hoping that his wife would not be angry, fearing that his wife would tell others his secrets. The Buddha said to the bhikkhus: - The brahmin Plohe, the former owner is now I, the servant of Kalaha at that time is now the monk Sisda. In the past, the seda used to use My power to deceive others, and now it is the same.” XXIV.5. Courageous [149c] Commentary on the Great Intelligence record: "All dharmas are not real. Because of their ignorance, sentient beings do not recognize acquaintances and strangers, so angry that they scold, kill, commit many serious crimes, so they fall into the three evil paths[48] and suffer immeasurable suffering. As in the room of a temple in the mountains, ghosts often come to disturb, making the monks dare not stay. At that time, a guest monk came to ask for a bed, teacher Duy-na[49] arranged to live in this empty room and said: - This room has demons that love to harm people, if you can stay, then stay. Claiming to be a precept, multi-literate person, the guest monk declared: – What can this little devil do? We will recover it. After saying that, the guest immediately entered the room. In the evening, another monk came to the temple to ask to sleep, Master Duy-na also took him to the other room and said that ghosts often come to harm people. The guest monk also said: - What can this little devil do? We will recover it. The monk came first, entered the room, closed the door, sat still and waited for the ghost. At night, the monk came knocking on the door and begged to enter. The first monk thought it was a ghost, so he didn't open the door, the latter used all his strength to break the door. The inside tried to resist, the outside was stronger, so he pushed the door to break in. So fighting until morning, these two realized they were old classmates, both were embarrassed, apologize to each other. Everyone gathers and laughs." The same is true of sentient beings, the warm year is not real, there is no cause, there is no self, because of clinging to signs, they fight and then destroy each other. If it is dissected, it will only have bones and flesh, no core, no fall. Therefore, the bodhisattva teaches sentient beings: "Where the origin is empty, don't fight, the human body is not there, let alone meet the Buddha." XXIV.6. Animals Lies The Old Book of Examples[50] records: "Once, there was a rich woman who had an affair with another man, then gathered all her gold and silver wealth, and ran away together. When he reached the riverbank, the water was flowing fast, the man said: - Give me the wealth, I will cross the river first, then come back to pick you up. The man crossed the river, but did not return. The woman was sitting alone in grief, with no one to help her, when she saw a fox catching a swallow. Seeing fish in the river, The weasel immediately left the swallow and jumped into the water to catch a fish, but did not catch the fish, but also lost the swallow. The woman said to the weasel: - Why are you so stupid, greedy to catch two children, so you can't get any. The weasel scolded back: – I am less stupid than you! The Law of the Sangha states: "The Buddha told the monks: - In the past, there was a year when it rained unseasonably for seven consecutive days, [150a] the animals were not grazed. At that time, there was a hungry wolf looking for food, wandering through seven villages but could not find it, so he blamed himself: 'Why am I in a bad luck, going to all seven villages with nothing to eat, it is better to stay in the mountains and forests. This is the boy's maintenance'. Thinking like that, the wolf stayed in the cave and made a vow: 'May all sentient beings be safe'. After that, the wolf kept his body sitting upright, closing his eyes. On his son's day, Emperor Thich[51] rode the white elephant Y-la[52], went to see who kept the precepts and broke the precepts in the human world. When we reached that mountain cave, Seeing the wolf with his eyes closed thinking, Emperor Thich thought: 'Oh my! This wolf is so strange, humans don't even have this mind, let alone a wolf?'. At that time, wanting to try to see how bad it really was, Emperor Thich changed into a goat standing in front of the cave, loudly calling the herd. Seeing the goat, the wolf thought: 'Strange! The blessing of keeping the precepts has been fulfilled. I went around seven villages to find food, but now I only temporarily keep the precepts, but the delicious food comes to my mouth. I'll finish eating and then keep the precepts." Thinking so, the wolf came out of the cave and went to the goat's place. Seeing the wolf approaching, the goat was frightened and ran away. The wolf gave chase, but could not catch it. Running a long distance, the goat turned into a dog again, with a wide mouth and big ears, turned around and barked and chased the wolf. Seeing the aggressive dog, the wolf ran away in fear. The dog chased, but not in time, the wolf escaped. Returning to the den, the wolf thought: 'I want to eat it, but it comes back to want to eat itself'. At that time, Emperor Shakyamuni turned into a crippled goat and stood in front of the wolf, screaming. The wolf immediately thought: 'It was a dog earlier, because I was so hungry that I saw it as a goat. Now, this one is the real goat. If you look closely from the ears, horns to the fur, it really is a goat. The wolf went out to chase, the goat ran away in panic. After chasing the long distance, the goat immediately turned into a dog and turned back to chase the wolf. The scene was the same as before. Emperor Thich immediately turned into a young goat, calling for his mother, standing in front of the wolf. The wolf angrily said: - Even if you turn into a piece of meat, I don't even want to come out, let alone a young goat that wants to trick me! The wolf returned to keep the precepts, calm down, and think as before. At that time, Emperor Thich knew that the wolf kept his precepts in mind, but still turned into a young goat standing in front of the wolf. At that time, the wolf said in a stanza: If it is really a goat, I still don't want to come out, Let alone pretend, Threaten me as before, Seeing that I keep the precepts, Again coming to test me, [150b] Even if it's a piece of meat, I still don't believe it, Let alone a young goat, Which lies to call the herd. At that time, the World-Honored One said in verse: If someone leaves the home life, he observes the precepts, his mind is agitated, and does not give up gains and nurtures like a wolf who maintains a young son." The Law of the Five Parts[53] states: "The Buddha told the bhikkhus: - Once upon a time, there was a man-loaded[54] who used to recite the sutras and books of Satdi-Lei[55] in a mountain cave. Next to a weasel always listens to chanting, so he also understands the meaning. The fox thought: 'I understand the words of this sutra, worthy to be king among the beasts'. Thinking like that, the weasel began to travel. Seeing another sick weasel, he wanted to kill. The sick ferret asked, "Why did you kill me?" - I am the king of beasts, if you do not obey me, you must die. - Please do not kill, I will follow you! Sick weasel begging. So the two ferrets went together. Again met another weasel, it wanted to kill, the same question and answer, the weasel volunteered to follow. Just like that, my weasel in turn conquered all weasel species, then led the weasel to collect all the elephants, again led the elephant herd to collect all the tigers, and again led the tigers to collect all the elephants. lion, finally made king. When he became a king, he thought: 'Now that I am the king of the beasts, should I take the beast as my wife'. At that time, it rode a white elephant and led countless herds of animals around the city of Ca-di for several thousand rounds. The king sent messengers to ask: - Why do your animals do this? Weasel replied: - I am the king of beasts, must marry the king's daughter. If you marry me, fine, otherwise I will destroy your country! The messenger returned to him like that, and the king summoned his courtiers at the same table. Only one minister disagreed, and all thought they should marry. Why? Currently, the whole country relies only on elephants and horses to fight, but they have lions. When elephants and horses hear the lion's voice, they will fall in terror, and if they hit them, they will be destroyed. What a pity that a girl lost the whole country. At that time, a wise minister said to the king: - From ancient times to now, I have never heard of the king's daughter marrying an animal. Although I am stupid, I will kill this weasel, causing the flocks of animals to run away. The king asked: - What is the plan? The great minister replied: - As long as the king makes an appointment for a battle, first come to see the other weasel and give him a claim: 'Let the lion fight first, roar later'. They think I'm scared, so they will definitely tell the lion to roar first, then fight back. On the day of the battle, the king issued a decree to the people and livestock in the city [150c] to cover their ears. The king applied this method, ordering the messenger to deliver the war letter and claim. On the day of the battle, the king sent a letter requesting again before leaving the army. When the vanguard was about to engage in battle, the fox did indeed let the lions roar first. Weasel heard the lion's roar, the heart broke into seven pieces, fell from the elephant's back to the ground, and the whole herd ran away. From this story, the Buddha said in verse: The weasel was very arrogant, Wanting to find a beautiful wife, Immediately went to the city of Kadi, Claiming to be the king of beasts, The proud man too, Likes to rule over them, In the country of Ma - Kiet-da[56], Self-proclaimed dharma master. King Cadi at that time was I, and the intelligent great god was Sariputra, the other fox was the Thousand-Dat. The Buddha told the bhikkhus: - In the past, the attainments were false as retinues, and it is the same today. The Buddha said in a verse: "It is easy to gather together with good, Good and evil are difficult to get along with, It is easy to gather together with evil, Evil and good are also difficult to approach." Buddhist scriptures [57] record: "At that time, the Buddha said to the monks: - I remember that once upon a time there was a river named Ba-li-da-da. At that time, by the riverside, there was a man who made garlands and owned a garden beside the river. One day, a turtle emerged from the river and went to the flower garden to find food. Wherever the turtle goes, the flowers and grass are destroyed. Seeing turtles breaking flowers, the owner caught them in a bamboo basket, intending to bring them back to be slaughtered. Turtle thought: 'How to escape this, find a way to deceive the garden owner?'. After thinking about it, the turtle immediately said: I came up from the water, my body is covered with mud, You remove the flowers, wash my body, This body is so dirty with mud, I am afraid to dirty the basket and flowers. Then the gardener thought, 'That's good! This turtle cleverly showed me. Now we should listen to it, bathe it so that the mud doesn't dirty the flower basket'. Thinking so, he took the turtle into the river to wash it. He took the turtle out of the basket, placed it on the rock, and then drew water to wash it. Then, The turtle put all his strength into the water. Seeing this, the garland worker said: [151a] – How strange! This turtle can trick us like that, now we have to push it ashore. He immediately said, "Good turtle, listen to me, I've known you for a long time, I'll make a wreath for you, I'm happy to meet my relatives!" Hearing this, the turtle thought: 'This corolla maker lied to deceive me. His mother is ill, bedridden, and his wife picks flowers and sells them to earn a living. Now that he said that, he definitely wanted to eat me, so he lured me ashore. The tortoise then said, "Your family cooks wine for a meeting with your loved ones. You make a lot of dishes that fill the tray. Go back home and say, Turtle's head cooks porridge, stewed meat with fat. The Buddha said to the monks: You should know, the turtle at that time was me, the garland worker was the Ba-week ghost. Ma Ba week at that time wanted to lie to Me but couldn't, and now he wants to cheat again, how can it be! Again, the Buddha said to the bhikkhus: I remember once upon a time there was a great dragon that lived in the sea. His wife is pregnant, suddenly wants to eat monkey hearts. Therefore, its body is thin, yellow, and unable to walk. Seeing his wife like that, the husband dragon asked: - Hey girl! Worried about what, or want to eat? Why can't we see her asking for something to eat? Dragon wife was silent, did not answer. Dragon husband asked: - Why did she not say anything today? Dragon wife replied: - If the husband gives me what I want, I will say it. If not, I will not say! Dragon husband replied: – Just say, if you can handle it, I will find a way to earn it. Dragon wife immediately said: - Now I want to eat monkey hearts. Can he find it? Dragon husband replied: – What she asked for is really hard to find. Because, we live in the big sea, how can monkeys in the green forest? Dragon wife says: - So what to do now? If I can't find the monkey's heart, I will have a miscarriage, and my life will not be long. Hearing that, the husband dragon replied: – Hey girl! Please wait. Now let's go find it. [151b] If it succeeds, then you and I will be happy, nothing more. Then, the husband dragon came ashore. Not far from the shore, there was a large tree named Udama-bara. On that tree, there was a big monkey picking fruit to eat. Seeing that, the husband dragon slowly approached the tree, using sweet words, asked: – Good, good! Hey lady-monk-tra! What is He doing on the tree? Is it hard or hard? Finding food is easy, isn't it tiring? Monkey replied: – That's right, fake man! I have no trouble now! The dragon asked again: - What do you eat here? The monkey replied: - I ate the fruit of the Udumbara. The dragon said: - Now that I meet you, I'm very happy, I can't help but feel, So I want to be friends with you. We love each other. If you accept me, you don't need to be here, because the fruit on this tree is not much, can't be happy? You should come down here, follow me. I will take you across the sea, to the other shore there is a large forest, all kinds of trees, abundant fruits. Monkey asked: - How can I get to the other shore? The sea is deep and difficult to cross, how can it be crossed? Dragon replied: – I will carry you to the other shore. Just come down here, climb on my back. At that time, the mind was still hesitant, but because of ignorance, the monkey was happy, immediately jumped to the ground and climbed on the back of the dragon. At that time, the dragon thought: 'Very good, very good! What we wanted has come true'. The dragon immediately took the monkey to his place, and both dived into the sea. Seeing it strange, the monkey asked the dragon: – Hey buddy! Why do we dive into the water? The dragon replied: – My wife is pregnant and wants to eat your heart. So I brought him here. Hearing this, the monkey thought: 'Alas! I'm so unlucky now, self-harm. Now how to overcome the danger and preserve life?'. The monkey thought again: 'Then we must deceive the dragon'. After thinking, the monkey said to the dragon: – Hey, good friend! My heart is on the Udumbara tree, I don't carry it. Why didn't you tell the truth earlier [151c]. Knowing you need a heart, I brought it. Now bring me back for my heart, and then come back. Hearing that, the dragon brought the monkey back to its place. Seeing the dragon coming to the shore, the monkey used all his strength, jumped down from the dragon's back, and then jumped up the Udumbara tree. Waiting for a while under the tree, seeing the monkey delay coming down, the dragon called: – Hey buddy! Come down here, come to my house! The monkey was silent, refusing to come down. Seeing that the monkey had not come down for a long time, the dragon said, "My dear monkey friend, the heart has been taken! Get down on my back, let's go. I take you to that forest, Fruits are abundant, sweet lips. At that time, the monkey thought, 'This dragon is so stupid', and then said in verse: Dragon, your scheme is quite deep. But your mind seems to be stupid. Think carefully. All living beings, who has no heart. )? That forest has a lot of fruit, Until the fruit is as sweet as Yemla, But I don't want to go with you. It is better to eat the fruit of udumbara. The Buddha told the monks: - The great monkey at that time was me, the dragon was the Ba-week ghost. Ma Ba-weeks ago, once deceived Me and failed, now wants to use the five worldly desires to seduce me, but how can I move this seat of Mine?" The Treasure Sutra says: “Once upon a time, crows and owls hated each other very much. The crow waits for the day when the owl can't see it, and comes and slaughters the owls. Owls take advantage of the night when crows can't see them, attack the crows again, cut open their intestines, and tear the carcass. Thus, one is afraid of the day, the other is afraid of the night, lasts forever like that. At that time, an intelligent crow said to the crows: - We and the owls have made an enmity, do not expect any reconciliation, in the end destroy each other, both are destroyed. We should find a way to kill all the owls, then we can be left alone. If we don't, we'll eventually be exterminated by the owls. The crows asked: – How to kill the enemy? The clever crow said: – Hey guys! Pull out the feathers of my wings and peck at my head, and I will devise a plan to destroy them. The crows immediately obeyed, filling its body with wounds. Then [152a] it came to the owl's den, groaning bitterly. Hearing the crows chirping, the owls asked: – Why did you come to us today with wounds all over your body? The crows replied: – The crows hate me and do not allow me to live together, so I come here to take refuge to avoid hatred. Hear the crow speak, the owls have mercy on it, nourish it, usually give excess meat. Days passed, wing feathers recovered. The crow then made a plan, bringing dry wood and grass into the owl's den, as if to repay the favor. The owl asked the crow: - What do you bring in firewood? The crow replied: - The cave is full of cold stones. Use this plant to fight the cold wind. Owls are right, so keep quiet. From then on, the crow kept entering the cave, pretending to be grateful for nurturing. At that time, when it was cold and covered with heavy snow, the whole flock of owls hid in the cave. The opportune moment came, the crow was delighted, and the shepherd's fire burned the den. The owls simultaneously burned to death in the cave. At that time, the gods said in verse: There was a grudge before, Don't trust each other Like a friendly liar Burn that flock of owls to death. The six degrees of the sutras record: "Once upon a time, when the Bodhisatta was king of the peacocks[58], he had five hundred wives, but they all abandoned him and took the barn [59] as his wife. Thanh stripped only drink fresh water, eat delicious fruit. For love of his wife, Every day the giant goes to find it and bring it back. At that time, the queen of that country was sick, and dreamed that gorilla meat could cure the disease. Wake up, queen to the king. The king sent hunters to find and catch them. The queen said, "Whoever catches the magpie, I will give my youngest daughter in marriage and reward a thousand pounds of gold. The hunters in the country split up to find, seeing that the magpie often flew from the barn to get food, they immediately mixed honey with roasted rice and smeared it all over the tree. Confucius took it and brought it back to his wife. The next day, the hunter applied it again, then sat and waited. Confucius came to take it, and was immediately arrested. Confucius said to the hunter: - You work hard, it must be for profit. I show you the mountain of gold that is an inexhaustible treasure. Please spare my life! The hunter replied: - Catching you, the king will give me a thousand pounds of gold and give me my youngest daughter, I can't believe your word. I must give you to the king! In front of the king, the duke said: - The king has compassion that pervades all, please listen to this coward. Please give me some water, I will use my compassion to pray, then give the queen a drink, then the disease will be cured; If it doesn't work, it's not too late to confess. King agreed. The queen drank it, the disease was healed, [152b] beautiful face, everyone in the palace was like that. The whole country praised the king for his great kindness, not killing the peacock to treat everyone's illness. Confucius said: - Please be immersed in the big lake and vow to enter that water so that all the peoples, everyone who is sick can be cured. If you are afraid to lie, hit me in the foot with a stick. King said: – Okay! Confucius made a vow, people who drink water will be healthy, deaf can hear, blind can see, dumb can speak, lame legs can straighten, all diseases are gone. healing queen, People in the country are also sick. At that time, the king had no intention of harming the king. Knowing that, the Duke came to present: – Thanks to the king's forgiveness, I saved everyone's life in the whole country; After replying, please leave. King said: – Okay. Confucius immediately flapped his wings and flew up to the tree, and said to the king: - There are three fools in the world. The king asked: – Who are they? Confucius said, "One is me, two is a hunter, three is a king. The king said: – Please explain. Confucius said: - The Buddha's precept for beauty is that it is a fire, and the loss of life is all due to the desire for beauty. I left five hundred wife birds to serve day and night, because I liked the barn, looking for food to provide it like a servant, so I was caught in a net, endangering my life. That's me stupid. The stupid hunter is that I honestly want to exchange my life with a mountain of gold, but the other person has given up endless treasures, believing your wife's lies, I want to marry the princess. It's the same with crazy people. Abandoning the sincere command of the Buddha, believing in the lies of the devil, enjoying intoxication, drinking and drinking, or suffering the destruction of the house, or falling to the Thai Son, [60], suffer a great deal, and then come back again. As a human being, like a bird without wings, is it not difficult to want to fly to the sky? Enchanted women are like demons, causing loss of country and harming their bodies, but stupid people take them seriously. Many words are not sincere, but the hunter believes. As for the king, the king was given heavenly medicine, he healed all the diseases of the people, his poisons were all gone, his face was like a flower, and he was happy, big and small, but the king let him go. This is called the stupid king. The Buddha said to Sariputra: - From then on, the King of Kings went everywhere, using magic medicine and with loving kindness, healing sentient beings. The Confucian king at that time was I, the king was Sariputra, The hunter is Dieu-Dat[61], the queen is the wife of Dieu-Dat. The Bodhisattva of loving-kindness and the perfection of wisdom practiced such generosity." The Treasure Sutra says: "The Buddha said: - In the past, in a lotus pond there were many species of water birds. In it, there was also a crane, which walked leisurely. [152c] The other birds all said: 'This bird walks in peace and does not disturb the aquatic species[62]'. At that time, the white goose said in verse: Take a leisurely walk The song is so sweet Deception of the whole world Who knows no trick. The crane replied, "Why do you say that?" Let's make friends together! White Goose replied: – I know you are a liar, determined not to make close friends. The Buddha said: - Bhikkhus should know, the white goose at that time was me. The crane at that time is now Devadatta." The Treasure Sutra says: "The Buddha taught: - In the past, On the side of Tuyet Son mountain range,[63] there was a king forest rooster, whose comb was bright red, his whole body was white, and his entourage of chickens was very large. The king chicken said to the whole flock: - You should stay away from the hamlets and villages, don't let the people catch you to eat meat. We are hated by many people, we must be careful to protect ourselves. At that time, there was a cat in the village, knowing that there were chickens in that mountain. It immediately came, walked slowly at the foot of the tree, with its face down, said to the king chicken: - I am your wife, you are my husband. His body is righteous, lovely, his head has a red comb, and his body is all white. I am here to enjoy with you. The king chicken immediately said in verse: That cat has yellow eyes, a fool. It doesn't matter if he wants to eat meat, he has never seen such a wife. But his long life is not dangerous. The king chicken at that time was me, the cat at that time was Devadatta. Devadatta once deceived Me, now it is the same to divide My followers." Summary verse: Fraud, stupidity Make people believe, do not doubt Fake pretend to be friendly Pretend to rely on each other. Outside the body, in the underground, soon kill each other If we stay together for a long time, we will know the danger.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.28/7/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
