CHURCH THE MIND. Within each of us, there are countless different ghosts and interests. Some people have a strong demon mind, some people have a weak demon mind. But it doesn't matter whether we are strong or weak, but what matters is whether our Buddha mind is strong enough to drive out the demon mind and beast mind from our body or not? Here, I would like to tell you a story that I experienced when chasing away ghosts and animals. As long as you understand them, you will not be afraid to face them. Although each person has a different mind and interest, there is only one way to chase away the ghost mind and animal mind in us, which is: "Strong will and determination to recite Buddha's name to become a Buddha". One night I had a dream (inner dream), that I was walking into a very large murky forest. At that time, in my mind I said that there are many poisonous snakes here. The thoughts in the mind have not stopped yet, Then suddenly, three very large poisonous snakes rushed forward, they wanted to kill me. At that time, I suddenly had a very large rope in my hand, and in my mind I said that only this rope could deal with them. I used the rope to beat them up. While fighting with them, I thought to myself, “I must destroy them, or they will harm me and harm countless people.” After fighting for a while, they were afraid to run away and I chased them to their den. Their den is huge in a mountain cave. At that time, I hid outside and watched their actions. In their den it was very dark and there was a flickering light. As soon as they crawled inside, they turned into humans. After that, they put their ears to small and big and plotted to deal with me. At that time, I stood on the outside feeling scared and worried, but in my heart I knew I had to destroy them, otherwise they will harm themselves and harm countless people. So I stood outside waiting for them to crawl out. Moments later, they turned into snakes and crawled out. As soon as they popped their heads, I whipped them with a rope. Wherever the ropes go, they break into pieces. But they are very strong and have magic, even if they are broken, they know how to connect and return to their original form. At that time, the more I beat them, the more scared my mind became, but my will said, "You mustn't lose, you must win. If we can't win, we'll just hug each other and die together." At that time, my thoughts did not stop, when suddenly the rope in my hand turned into a snake. I panicked and threw the snake on the ground, and in my heart I told them: "Even without a rope, I would still live with you." Unexpectedly, the snake I just threw on the ground, it immediately rolled over to wrap the other three snakes to die together. After that, their bodies slowly disintegrated. Then, naturally, there was a stream of cool water flowing from somewhere, dissipating all the dirt, fishy smell and plants and flowers also began to slowly grow green in the whole forest. My mind is also slowly cool, light and comfortable. At that time, I was glad that I had escaped a life-and-death crisis, but I was sad and regretful that I misunderstood the rope. I thought it turned into a snake to harm me, but I didn't expect it to risk its life to die with the other three snakes. While mourning, suddenly I heard a woman's voice softly whisper in my ear: "You have won! I won!" I woke up startled and found myself drenched in sweat. After waking up my heart is still in suspense and thinking about that story forever. After a few days, I was unanimous. After I was single-minded, I understood the truth of that dream, then the three poisonous snakes were my three poisonous minds of greed, anger, and delusion. In each of us, everyone has these three poisonous minds, that's why we are tormented by them in samsara for countless eons. And the rope in my hand is me. So, while I was thinking about hugging them to die together, that rope turned into a snake that rolled over and hugged them to die together. The forest before was murky, but after killing three poisonous snakes, the forest immediately returned to bright, green and cool. The forest is a symbol of my pure mind (Buddha mind). Our Buddha mind is always clear and pure. It's just that the three poisoned minds of greed, hatred, and delusion in me are too strong, so they have buried my Buddha mind, causing us to be drowned in the sufferings of samsara for countless eons. Because I recited the Buddha's name for many years without interruption, my Buddha mind had enough divine power and will to destroy the three poisons of greed, hatred, and delusion so that I could be single-minded. (One-pointedness means that I have mastered my pure mind.) If we want to chase away the ghosts and beasts in us, we must diligently recite the Buddha's name, then they will naturally disappear. If we want our mind to become proficient in reciting the Buddha's name, then we must diligently recite the Buddha's name every day without interruption. Only then will our Buddha mind have enough divine power to drive out the mind of ghosts and beasts from us. Reciting the Buddha's name is not interrupted, that is, depending on the situation, you set a time for yourself. Once we have set it up, we should not give it up, so it is called uninterrupted recitation of the Buddha. If we recite Buddha's name for one day and skip the whole month, it is called interrupted. In each of us, everyone has four seeds of mind as the basis: Buddha mind, human mind, demon mind and animal mind. When we die, whichever mind is stronger in us, that mind will lead us to be reborn as that body. That is, if our animal mind is stronger, it will lead us to be reborn as an animal body. Why? Because the mind has to work as an animal, that's natural. Just like in everyday life we often see: People with good hearts (people's hearts) go to charity work places to help people. People with greed (interest) go to cheat, steal. People with an evil mind (mad mind) go to harm and kill people. People with compassion (Buddha mind) go to practice and save them. In short, while we are alive, our mind guides us. After we die, our mind will also lead us, but no Buddha, God or a Divine can arrange for us. If we know how to cultivate and save sentient beings, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas always bless us. Blessing does not mean arranging our rebirth, but helping us to have enough means, the ability to save ourselves and others. Even if Buddha and God wanted to arrange our rebirth, it would not be possible. Why? Because the creator has the law of creation. If Buddha and God could arrange it, then you would have turned this suffering Tathagata into an eternal Heaven. Gentlemen, you don't have to show up here to teach me how to practice to get free.
