Crime of speech. According to the Buddha's teachings, we humans have three karmas: bodily karma, verbal karma, and mental karma. In which, oral karma is easy to create blessings and vice versa, it is also easy to create crimes. Therefore, the sharing of Sin of Oral Karma will help us be more aware of how to practice to take advantage of the positive benefits and minimize the negative aspects of the mouth so as not to cause suffering for ourselves and for others. people, even from one generation to the next. Why are we prone to verbal sins? We pay little attention to speech karma because language has no form! For example, now who we punch or who we hurt, it's easy to see that image. But a cynical word will be an invisible weapon that kills people to death that sometimes we don't expect! Among the three kammas taught by the Buddha are:Body Karma - Oral Karma - Mind Karma, the Mind Karma takes the lead in bodily and oral actions. However, when that thought manifests itself in words or actions, that karmic creation becomes apparent. And if it is still in the mind, then "Sin from the mind arises because the mind ceases". So we know that when it is manifested in action, there will be injustice. Language too! Of the five precepts that the Buddha advised us to keep, there is the precept not to lie. Specifically, we should not turn it into four problems: - Evil speech: ie malicious, cruel words. - Ỷ language: ie flowery words with the purpose of deceiving. - Proverb: ie contrary to the truth. - Two truths: ie saying "The rice is stabbed and the rice is broken", three right. There are two types of oral karma. The ancients said that:Our material possessions are as high as mountains, but if we eat them all the time, they will also run out; The merit we do all our life is very hard, but criticism, sarcasm, discord, evil speech - it also destroys these two ideas that show that: Success or failure, good and bad luck mainly come from the mouth. . Crime of oral karma due to eating and drinking Food is an indispensable need for human beings, it is impossible to live on life without eating. But this food also brings us unfathomable injustices. It has been said that "our stomach is a moving graveyard". Our stomach is not big, but for a lifetime, it contains a whole store of animal meat such as pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, etc., which are brought in from our mouths. The Buddha once said: "Life is lived by death." When giving the precept not to kill,The Buddha did not forbid us to eat salty food, but he saw the cause and effect of borrowing blood to repay the debt through this way of eating, he had compassion and advised Buddhists to limit or best stop. However, in fact, because people want to be more secure and less guilty about guilt and anxiety, they think that: Animals take care of people and many other points of view. But the law of cause and effect is a fair law, it is not formed by anyone's words or opinions, but it exists objectively in the universe that the Buddha saw. Our life is just and comfortable - Borrowing the blood of sentient beings and then we also recreate that form for sentient beings to borrow to survive, alternately existing in this life, that's normal. often. We look at the video clips posted of the slaughterhouses, it's really scary. And have we ever thought:At what stage, in what life are we such beings? So this is what we see: Lucky to learn the truth, whether we can do it or not is our business! That's a fundamental part of the sin of oral karma through eating. Crime of speech caused by words The ancients used to say "The tongue has no bones with many twists and turns" - that is, we can say whatever we want. No matter how a person practices, when he speaks, he falls into four cases: false speech - evil speech - double truth - Ỷ language also brings injustice to us and everyone. The ancients once said that: "One word can flourish - One word can win" means "One word can make a country prosperous, but one word destroys a country".There are times when we are real, but that truth hurts others. For example, when seeing a person with a leg deformity in a crowded place, someone would say "Some lame brother come up here..." He was telling the truth, but saying that was not appropriate and easily brought happiness. When we hurt another person, we will create injustice. So speaking the truth does not mean saying anything, but having true things that cause danger and incalculable disaster. Our mouth is very dangerous. When people love, people speak in a positive way, when they hate, people say harsh words. So to be honest: Basically, they don't believe because they haven't witnessed Saints, so they can change their language and opinions. Miss Phuong Nga's case is a good example for us to learn and draw from our own experiences. People in life are like that! There is no such thing as solidity, nothing truly reliable. – For people with wisdom or bravery, it is not too important to praise but also not too concerned about criticism. – And ordinary people who are too important to praise are very miserable because of criticism. When you are praised and feel like it, tomorrow when you are criticized, you will also have a great mental impact. We should remember, in life it's normal to praise and criticize: When people like it, they say this - When people don't like it, they say that. Don't listen to people say that to believe that everything will be so! Should be careful when saying Words are not arrows, nor knives, but we see that it still has the same dangerous effects as an arrow, like a knife. Therefore, practitioners need to be careful in four cases: false speech - language - evil speech - double truth,Because "the mouth is faster than the head" - that is, the thought is not in time for us to speak to control, so we easily lead to this mistake, creating incalculable karma. In Buddhism, there is a story to deter those who propagate and introduce Buddhism. It is the story of Mr. Bach Truong and a weasel. That weasel is the incarnation of a monk who suffered 500 kalpas due to a sermon sent to the masses without knowing it. We see: A word that is wrong with the truth pays such a price! The monks who broke the precepts themselves, in the Vinaya, said that it was a small matter. But to teach the wrong people to influence the public's beliefs - that's a big sin. That's why people say "Too many words - Too many mistakes". Of course, in many words we have mistakes, but we have no control over them.In the past, when he preached, pagans slandered the Buddha or mocked the Buddha or said inappropriate things, the Buddha did not answer but remained silent. So the Buddha's words to his disciples are the same and encourage lay Buddhists: "If necessary, answer appropriately, an honest answer otherwise, here we stay silent." Benefits of speaking the truth and how to transform oral sins If you have an honest heart, when people say you're wrong, you admit it and correct it. And most ordinary people are when they hear people say they are wrong, they admit they are wrong, they are afraid of their inferiority, are afraid of shame and embarrassment, so they will deny or argue back. So when a person speaks the truth, this measures the value of that person. In the Ten Virtuous Sutras, the Buddha told the Dragon King about the benefits of those who speak truthfully: First, this person's mouth is clean, and often emits a pleasant aroma. Second: These people are respected and trusted by everyone. Third: To receive these words of trust and to be respected by Nhan Thien. Fourth: Use these kind words to comfort sentient beings. The fifth is: This person's wisdom is sharp, eloquent, unobstructed, etc.. So, in life when someone says that no one believes, they know that because they have lied, maybe not in this life, then in other lives. So it's the same problem, but one person says it right, another person says it doesn't work. It's not easy to change our words because it's the things we don't see.But Buddhism always asserts that all karma in general or verbal karma in particular can be changed. For example, President Roosevelt, who was a lisp since childhood, but with his efforts, became a law school student and became President. This is an attempt to change careers. Therefore, when a person knows that he has committed a crime of speech, he should refrain from speaking less. When he wants to speak, he must consider whether that word has any effect? Learn and improve skills along with repentance. With such determination, the sins of speech will be transformed. He was a liar since childhood, but with his efforts, he became a law school student and became President.
