If you want to be pure, don't pay attention to other people's faults. The person who really knows how to cultivate is to practice by himself, not looking at others. Looking at others in the mind of birth defilements, there will be opinions; If you have an opinion, your mind will be angry and not pure. Until our six senses come into contact with the realm of the six senses and see as if we can't see and hear as if we don't hear, the mind will be pure. For all dharmas it is very clear, transparent. Although it is clear, there is no attachment in the mind. To put it a little easier to understand, it is absolutely not to keep these things in mind, there is nothing in the mind. "There is not one thing in the capital," which the Sixth Patriarch said, the mind has nothing. At that time, the mind will be pure and rebirth will be firmly grasped. The Sixth Patriarch said very well: "There is no inherent object, where dust is attached" is formless. "Signless" does not mean that there are no external phenomena, but that the mind is not attached to all appearances. So formless is not the absence of an external appearance, but the absence of all delusions and attachments in the mind. To study Buddhism as long as you yourself keep the precepts, whether others keep the precepts or not, they don't care, they all consider others to be the purest people. Only when our mind is pure can we have concentration, this is something that fellow initiates must know. Therefore, the precepts of the Buddha, whether the Hinayana precepts or the Bodhisattva precepts, are for self-awareness, not for the sake of alerting others. Precepts of the Hinayana only benefit themselves; Mahayana precepts are beneficial to the masses, that is, when living with people, we should adhere to what, not ask others [to comply]. This is the Buddhist precepts, unlike the laws of the world. The law of the world has loopholes, and the Buddhadharma has no loopholes. The Buddhadharma is to always examine oneself to have a pure mind and to meditate for real. Just ask yourself if you respect others or not, and if others respect you or not, don't put it in your mind, then the mind is concentrated, the mind is purified. In the mind without attachment, there is no defilement, no worry, no preoccupation. If there is nothing in the mind, how does it come to be? In the mind full of light of wisdom, compared to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are not far, that is the corresponding. The law of the world has loopholes, and the Buddhadharma has no loopholes.
