Enlightenment path according to Nikaya classics

The Buddha is a path of compassion and wisdom, an elegant boat that saves all living beings immersed in the river of misery and misery in the six paths of reincarnation. Buddhism is also an equal path and self-discipline for all who want to find the upper path of liberation and enlightenment. The Dharma Sutra has the phrase:  "The person who imbued with the Dharma lived happily with the peaceful mind. The intellectual goods are always joyful in the dharma that the saints have found . "
*  *  *
Back in time to look back, the Prince Siddhartha saw life as a misery, beings being rolling in the cycle of birth and death with scenes, old, sick, dead, melancholy, compassion and suffering. , brainstorming, is presenting in front of his eyes, so he gave up the throne, electrified, beautiful wife, beautiful child to find a koan for himself that is - freeing all beings from the cycle of reincarnation. birth and death. He retired from the royal palace on a night of moonlight when the morning star had just grown up with a son of a ruthless and anonymously crossed the river of Iceland to find the truth.
He first came to study with two masters named Alara Kalama and Adduka Ramaputta and witnessed the two non-idealistic non-originating and non-originating meditation states, but he thought that these two fruits were not fruits. supreme taste as He wishes. Then He left these two to seek the truth for his own koan.
After six years of ascetic practice, he still did not achieve any results:
Six years in the direction of the jungle where
Suffering to be sad with Sakyamuni
singing on the shoulder of the dew of the
Deer coat, calling the mountain of snow to bloom.
He then renounced this ascetic practice, returning to the middle path. He went to Bodhgaya to sit down under the Bodhi tree and prayed, "If I do not become enlightened, even if the flesh is broken, I will not stand up from this place."
In the 49 days and nights of sitting in meditation meditation, he fought against the afflicted enemy in the mind like greed, anger, ignorance, and battling with the enemy Thien Ma led by Ma Vuong for three weeks. After winning the enemy in the interior and the outside, the mind is cleared, he suddenly enlightened, witnessed the supreme righteousness of the mind and became the Buddha of Sakyamuni.
Buddha because of a great vow, for a boundless compassion that renunciation seek. The great vow and compassion are: "To become Buddhahood to return to the temple with four deep and deep blessings and to save the three miseries." So after his enlightenment, he did not enter Nirvana immediately, but immediately thought of cultivating beings.
All beings regardless of class, race, and cowardice, if they practice according to his teachings, they will be happily, liberally, and tranquil. Liberation in Buddhism is not far away, but in this present life. The path of liberation that He taught us through the Nikaya is Gender, Determination and Hui. The Sutra of Mindfulness teaches that:
"The Bhikkhu-stilts, this is the unique path that leads to purity for sentient beings, beyond sorrow, eliminating suffering, righteous attainment, realization of nirvana, which is the four foundations of mindfulness."
Those four mindfulness are: contemplating the body on the body; consistent life on the life; contemplating the mind and the contemplation on the
four foundations of mindfulness are the only-contemplation or Dinh-Tue dharma practice. But before going into the practice of consistent practice, he taught us to keep the precepts, to keep the precepts, and to be clean and gentle in order to enter into meditation to achieve good results. The precepts such as barriers prevent foreign spirits from entering, preserving inner peace, and going to samadhi easily, so the Buddha always taught his disciples to practice precepts before meditating. . This is clearly stated by the Buddha in  the  followingNeighboring Horse Sutra :
- Must know precious things while receiving offerings.
- Body, password, Italy, birth must be pure, smart.
- Must maintain the grounds.
- Must be moderate in eating.
- Must be alert.
After maintaining the precepts to purify the body, we choose a solitary place like a meditation hall, a tree, a forest, or wherever it is convenient and comfortable for meditation, then we sit cross-legged, back straight and stay mindful in front of you, then practice the method of mindfulness of breathing, exhalation ( Anàpànasati ). In the One Dharma Sutra, the Buddha taught the method of reciting the breath, breathing out with 16 headings: four headings on the body; four headings on life; four headings about the mind and four items about the dharma.
This dharma belongs to the four foundations of mindfulness ( cattàro - satipatthàna ), that is, the dharma which mentions four places to stay in mind, namely, body, feeling, mind and dhamma. The Dharma of  Anāpànasati This refers to 16 subjects on the body, four topics on life, four topics on mind, and four topics on dharma. The meditator breathes in, breathing out, contemplating over 16 subjects related to the breath.
This practice is for both meditation and wisdom, including only ( samatha ) and vipasana . Both are consistent with this practice. When using the quadruple of the mind on the breath of the breath, it is only, so is samadhi. When taking wisdom observing 16 selected topics, so is the mind, so is wisdom.
Practicing meditation only can be witnessed from meditation to four meditation, then from no boundless to non-ideal non-ideal. Then use meditation to attest to the end of life. Or maybe from the four meditation and then transfer to meditation to focus on the mind, mind, and smuggling. When aiming to smuggle to take advantage of that position, he knows the truth:  "This is suffering, this is the cause of suffering, this is the path leading to the cessation of suffering, these are contraband or, this is the cause of contraband or, this is the smuggled or destroyed, this is the way to the smuggled or destroyed, so he escaped illicit sex, pirated property, ignorance smuggled ... he knew that he had committed a happy life had to do; no more going back to this life. "  Therefore, meditation plays a very important role in the process of liberation.
Looking at life after the virtue of virtue, we see that his daily life has two main things: sermon and meditation. He is the righteous minded person, who is the worshiper of worship and respect, but He still meditates every day, because he wants to set an example to attack his disciples to always diligently meditate. We often meet the two Buddha's advice for the monks to leave:
"The Bhikkhu-stilts, when the assemblies often have two things to do: one is to talk about the Dharma, the other is to keep silent. silence of the saints " . The silence of the saints here is meditation.
The second teaching is the Buddha's meditation advice: "Hey bhikkhus, this is a tree, these are empty houses, these monks, meditate, do not have to go out, do not have regrets later. This is my teaching to you. "  And when I was about to enter Nirvana, the Buddha repeated the life of a dark monk winning meditation and meditation.
" Hey Anada, in life, male monks, for body, mind, mind, mindfulness, photography for all craving, compassion in life, for feelings ... for the mind ... for the dharma, the mind France, diligence, awareness, mindfulness, photography for all craving, compassion in life. Behold, Anada, so the bhikkhu himself is a lamp to himself, relying on himself, not relying on anything else, using the dharma as a lamp, using the dharma as a refuge, without refuge like something else. "
Buddha always taught his disciples, even when he was alive, as well as before he died, to diligently meditate, because only one path to enlightenment is meditation.
As we see our Master of Ethics before becoming enlightened, he has had many experiences in meditation and has discovered for himself the path of wisdom that leads to enlightenment, until the enlightenment and even before Nirvana He also meditated. During the 45 years after he became a disciple of teaching, meditating and teaching his disciples to meditate, his sermons emphasized meditation.
We are posthumous, on the way to practice, to follow in His footsteps, we must be diligent in meditation, but before meditation we have to keep the precepts strictly, because there are new worlds to enter into Yes, when concentration is fulfilled, wisdom arises. Wisdom is the sharpest blade, can cut off the root of defilements, greed, anger, ignorance, and suspicion, like a Tala tree, when it is cut off, it cannot grow. When the fetters are rooted, we are happy and liberated. This joy of liberation is not far away, it is right in this life. Therefore, all of us, now, engrave it to be diligent in studying, practicing the three-way learning (precepts). Because it is the only way that leads us to the realms of happiness, liberation, passing away, and Nirvana.END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.27/12/2018.
