CHAPTER IV
Lesson 21
CENTRAL ISSUES (Maraṇāsannacittavīthi).
I. DEFINITIONS . Maranasanna is right from the Marana is dead and asanna is near.
Near-heartedness is the process of death and death of the mind when it is about to end a life.
II. MEANING OF DEATH.
Death here is temporarily shifting from one skandha to another, which means rebirth in the Three Realms.
On the contrary, the DEATH HAPPY is the passing (parinibāna) of the Unbelievable Saint (Duc Chanh Giac, Duc Ven Giac and Arhat), ie, no longer being born again in the three worlds.
Death is the destruction of the Internet right (jīvitindriya), the heat ( usuṇa synonymous with tejodhātu ) and the mind (viññāṇa), ie all three dharmas are ruined.
The death (cuti) arises due to one of four causes: Due to longevity (āyukhaya), due to karma (kammakkhaya), both are destroyed and due to karma (upacchedakamma).
As Pāli has a comment :
"Death has four causes: Longevity kills, kills karma, both kills and kills karma".
As people die because of old age, or like the gods of the Buddha's Realms, with a life of 36 million years according to the human realm, though still blessed, they die from the end of their life.
What is karma ( kammakkhaya) ? .
As long as there is life, but blessings have expired so this being dies.
As in the time of beings with a lifespan of 100 years, this being because of the lack of merit should live in a situation of hunger, strenuousness and death before life,
Should understand that: When rebirth of the mind's power (cetanācetasika) is a very strong karma, creating aggregates and new aggregates, when karma is destroyed (blessed being a human being or the gods have been exhausted), the capacity of the mind of karma becomes weak, suspends all activities of identity. Although still in life, these beings die.
Or as the gods because of sexual desire should be common while remaining longevity.
What is both killing (ubhayakkhaya) ?
A person born at the time of life is 80, for example, when he is 80 years old, then he has just died. This is the death caused by the age of death and the loss of karma.
Do karma (upacchedakakamma).
There is a kind of evil karma that cuts off the life suddenly, the part of the human being, such as the arrow rushing forward, suddenly has a strong wind rising with the power to stop the arrow, making the nose The name falls to the ground. Likewise, the power of an evil kamma arises birth, cutting off the karma that causes love to die. Like Nanda youth or Ciñcā, for example.
Three ways to die on the dead is called trendy (kālamaraṇa), also died by killing industry called non-temporal death (akālamaraṇa).
For example, the lamp is off due to one of the four causes: Due to the end of the heart, due to the end of the oil, due to both of them or unexpectedly strong winds blow off. The death of beings is also due to such four causes.
III- ANALYSIS.
Death has two methods: Death is born and Vien passed away.
So we have two types of near-death vipākacitta: the near-death path is still alive and the Path of death is passed away.
Nearly death, the life-cycle has two patterns, the near-death element and exposing it to near-death subjects.
Particularly, Vien Tich Highway only arises through the mind-door.
However, for the Saints of Arhat depending on the intention, it arises in two ways: the ordinary Citizenship and the Special Citizenship.
For the near-death mind, there is still birth, when the mind of birth and death arises, one will receive one of three scenes: a scene of kamma, a scene of kamma and a scene of animal generals.
These are the three types of special scenes that appear only clearly during near death, creating conditions for the mind to be born (paṭisandhiviññāṇa). being kicked, starting a new life, at the same time is also the scene for the mind of a part in that life.
IV- RESOLUTION OF THE THREE SITES
In the near death period due to the power of karma, one of the following three scenes will arise in one of the six disciplines:
1. The karma (kammārammaṇa)
The person who is about to die , a kusala kamma or some kusala kamma arises. for that person. This karma can be a karma (garuka kamma) like meditation (jhāna) or five great offenses: killing father, killing mother ... These karma are very strong, overwhelming all other kinds of karma to begin. The scene is clear for the mind at the time of death.
If there is no karma , another kind of kamma arises , This karma can be in the past, or in the present life.
If in the present life is the kamma that is often done, called the Karma (āciṇṇakamma) . This karma becomes a scene for the mind during death.
2. General career scene.
Are things related to karma created.
These objects can be sharp, thinh, incense, taste, and emotions that these beings have used when creating karma, such as a knife for the butcher, patient for the physician, the flower for the Buddhists. rich in faith ...
3. The scene of the animal genius.
Gatinimitta is a sign of the realm, where the dying person will be reborn.
These signs can be hell fire, forest, mountain, mother cell, palace of King or flower garden in Heaven ...
Being a sign of the realm, sentient beings are not completely dependent, although the gatinimitta is a bad sign, but the person promptly changes the mind of akusala into a kusala citta, which can escape from bad beings.
As in the case of an old woman, the time of peace has offered to the Female, the Ministry of yellow medicine, when she is about to die, she sees gatinimitta as hell fire, the color of fire is the same as the yellow color that she has offered, a kindness and joyful mind arise. Up to that moment, become a good karma, bring her to be born in Heaven.
The scene of kamma appearing in the mind-door , the scene of kamma which arises up through the six doors according to the circumstances, as the person who is about to die suddenly sees the monks, or hears the chanting of the Sutra, or loses the scent of the flower that often makes offerings to Tam say ...
Particularly, the scene of the General Beast only arises in the form of a dream, which means that the being is in a coma. And the sight of General Beast is always the prime minister.
In other words, when the mind has been blackened, karma or kamma cannot afford to be a scene for the mind, then the scene of the General Beast will arise.
