Why do you say that the six elements - eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind - are the true nature of the Tathagata from the Tathagata? The entry will be analyzed and explained below.

"Collecting ceiling scenes" - nature perceives the identity and appearance of the ceiling that is in front of him. "This is called nature." That is the nature of seeing. This "seeing nature" is not "clear mind awareness" as is often mentioned in Zen Buddhism. Nature seen here is just the nature of the ordinary view of man. And to clear the mind of mind nature means to see the mind and realize one's true nature. Seeing the nature in that case means recognizing the Buddha nature inherent in oneself. And the 'seeing-nature' here refers to the nature of the ordinary view.
"Nature sees this departed from the two dark and light scenes." - When this seeing-nature separates the two generals from the light and the dark scenes, there is absolutely no substance. " It does not have any entity. Nothing really exists.

  If it is Ananda when you know what you are seeing , it is  not the light and the dark , it is  not the root , it is not empty.

Vietnamese translation: Thus, Ananda! You must know that view, not from light or dark, but from your eyes, not from nothing.
Lecture: "Thus, Ananda! You must know that view, not because it's light or dark. " Tanh sees neither comes from, nor comes from the dark. "Nor is it from the eye" - that seeing nature is not from the eye that is, "nor is it due to nothingness." Nor does it arise from nothing.

Lecture: "What's wrong? If the nature that sees from the morning comes "- If the nature that comes from the ceiling is bright -" the darkness has to follow. " The two generals of light and shadow do not exist simultaneously. When this appears, the other disappears. It cannot exist together. If he wanted to say that nature is seen from the light, there will be no darkness at all.
"I could no longer see the dark." And so the nature will not see the general of darkness. But actually when there is light, then seeing sees darkness. So nature does not come from the morning, nor from the evening. "If nature comes from the dark, the light must follow and disappear, there should be no visible light." If nature is seen from the dark minister, there will not be any light at all. We will never be able to see the general of the light.

  If born from the root , there  must be no light or dark. If you see the essence, there is no self.

Lecture: If you say that seeing comes from the eye, "If (seeing) comes from the eye, there must be no light and no darkness." If the (seeing) from the eye arises, it should not include both the light and the dark appearances. According to this explanation, "So the nature sees that there is no nature." If (the view) comes from the eyes, then it should be able to be private. So seeing does not come from the eyes.

It is as if nothingness can be seen by itself – Again, if you think that seeing comes from nowhere, if nothingness can see by itself, what is the relationship with your eye tag? Does that view have anything to do with your nature? Do you have anything to do with nothing? So seeing does not come from nowhere.

 That's  why we should know , and our  eyes are empty This is not dependent ,  unnatural.
Phonetic:  Thi tri contemporary, label input damaged hope. Non-causal non-predestined natural nature.
Vietnamese translation: So must know, manual input is hopeless. Capital is not predestined, not natural.
Lecture: Ananda, so must know the label, the first of the six, that is, the eye, his eyes, is vanity. Its birth is delusion, false, untrue; and its destruction is also false, false, untrue. Capital is not predestined, it does not arise from predestined, and its destruction also does not rely on predestined. Not nature. Nor does it stem from nature. Its origin is from Tathagata.

Clutching your ears for a long time is like staying in a room without going out and seeing the outside scenery. After a long time you will feel very tired, and you will feel like going out for a walk or relaxing. Also, the ear often listens to sounds coming from outside. If you don't let him hear anymore, but instead of stopping him from listening outside, he listens inside. What kind of sound is in the head? Give it a try.
Squeeze your ears for a few days and you'll know what kind of sound you hear. So you know right away. So now I don't say what kind of sound the people in this example will hear. "Both the ears and the tiredness are bodhicitta." General fatigue and ears are Bodhi in Tathagata. "Due to attentiveness, he was tired." Just by a concept of ignorance that gives rise to countless general state of delusion, then affect the function of the atrial faculty.

 Because of movement. Two kinds of delusions are heard in the middle. Suck this dust like a name. After all, the smell and the movement of the two dusts are incomplete.

In Chinese, the word hấp also means inhaling, like smoking cigarettes. When smoking, smoke enters the lungs, although ordinary people cannot see their interior, but the reality is that the throat, trachea, and lungs become covered with a layer of plastic. Have you ever seen the black layer of black soot when you scraped a chimney? Smokers are like a storehouse of nicotine in the lungs. But because there's no surgery to expose that, actually your small intestine, throat, organs are all covered with nicotine but you don't see it.
"Admire the ceiling" is the same. Because you have absorbed the outside on the outside, your nature is also covered with a layer of plastic even though you cannot see it. Because of its own nature being polluted by these things, covered with black plastic, there was no light. His Holiness has a poem:
Bodhi body life expectancy Center
as long glass Minh
time Time to waving food
Material used in nhạ bare.
Translation: The
body is like a Bodhi tree The
mind is like a bright mirror.
Always diligently wipe away Do
not be tinged with bare dust.
This verse is a very good expression for the idea, but it is not the words of the enlightened one. This verse talks about the initial stage of elaborately practicing to gain knowledge. For meticulous practices, like cleaning a mirror, always keep the mirror bright. Religious people are like wiping dust on a mirror. After the Great Spirit Master made this poem, Sixth Patriarch Hue Nang responded with the following poem:
Bodhi Bodhi long life
Minh glass egridian radio
Bon Deity most of
Ha origin land of bare land.
Translation:
Tanh Tanh not like the original
Bright mirror needing the radio This
past can be quiet
Where there is no one.
That means everything must be careful. In meticulous practice, Hue Nang proved himself enlightened. Once a practitioner has been proven to be enlightened, they do not need to do the same things mentioned in the verse mentioned by Lord Tu Tu. Many people think that Hue's poem is very good and his poem is very bad. But actually both poems are good.
Because for those who understand the Dharma, all dharma are Buddha Dharma. When you speak the dharma to uninformed people, they will not realize it is Dharma. So you have to thoroughly investigate this ethic. If you recognize this, you will recognize everything.
"This is called Tanh listen" - When the atrium bases in the ceiling. "This listening nature leaves the other two tranquil moving objects" - If this listening nature separates the two moving objects, the ceiling will be completely untrue. " It does not have its own nature.

 the case of Ananda ,  when the smell is known ,  non-movement to. It is not rooted out ,  not airborne.

Vietnamese translation: Thus, Ananda! must know that hearing, not due to static or motion, but from ears, not due to void arising.
Lecture: "Thus" means the case mentioned in the above text, that "the ears and the weary appearance are the Bodhi nature," due to the attentions, the tired tired generals are released. " "Ananda! You must know that hearing, not due to motion or stillness, ”not from the standing motion, but that nature is generated. "It is not from the ears," Tanh heard also not from the atrium. "Not because of nothing." Tanh also does not come from nowhere.

 What is the reason ?  If you come from the static , the  action will immediately disappear  , and you  should not hear it. If you follow , the  silence will disappear immediately , and you  should be unconscious.

Lecture: "What's wrong? If nature comes from a stillness ”- This point has a bit of a meaning similar to that seen above, but you should not be upset. The ethics must be explained in detail. The Buddha explained the six stages of very detailed entry. "The cave that followed must disappear, should no longer be able to see the cave." If the nature of hearing comes from the state of tranquility, when action should be destroyed, there will be no nature to listen. But there is still nature to listen to when in a state of tranquility, and still to hear nature while in a dynamic state.
"If nature comes from the verb, the static must follow and disappear, there should be no longer knowing the static." If the nature of hearing comes from the dynamic state, there should be no pure state. Should not hear the net anymore. If nature comes from the calm, you should not know anything about the cave any more. Therefore, the nature of hearing does not stem from the two tranquil factions.

  If you are born from the root , there  will be no movement. There is no self-reliance in the body.

Lecture: "If (hearing) comes from the ear, there must be no movement and stillness." The two naked and dynamic generals should not exist. "So Tanh heard" as said above: "which has no nature." What happened? If it had a nature, it should have been emptiness, but you could not find the nature of hearing.

 If Yu Yu vacates  ,  there is a sense of success that is, no void. And empty since the smell ,  what Guan Yu into.

"And if nothingness can be heard on its own — And if it is assumed that the nature of hearing arises out of nothing, what is the relationship with your atria?" What does it have to do with you? Probably nothing to do with anyone.

"It took a long time to become tired." If you breathe like that for a long time, you will feel tired. The nose will be tired. And when tired, delusion arises. Nostalgia arises so delusion. What kind of delusion is that? Sometimes it says, "Please stop! Stop it!" But people did not stop. So it gives rise to a feeling. What feeling? "It feels cold in your nostrils." Seeing the breath entails a feeling of cold. Extremely cold.
"Because of such a feeling, there is a distinction." In that cold breath, aroused the distinction of feeling the breath coming into the nostrils. How to distinguish? "Distinguishing is pine, is sealed." "Ah! My nose is stuck. ” Or, "I can breathe through the left nostril but the right can't breathe." He began to arouse discrimination. There was nothing to do, he looked for something to do, that was to spark such discrimination.
"It's hollow, it's solid." Nowhere 虛 means empty, clear; 實 here means special, deadlock. He thought, "Ah! are we suffering from a cold, because it is impossible to breathe through the nose? " He makes such distinctions. "Until the scents smell rotten."
What is the meaning of rotten – slash 臭 in Chinese? It consists of two words, chữ means me and me and mình means big; so rot - rudeness 臭 is explained as "the big self". See yourself very large means rotten. So the word 臭 means "we are big and rotten."
Some people don't understand the meaning of "rotten scents." I will explain it clearly. Take for example fish, leave it somewhere and then ignore it any more, after a while the fish will become rotten. When it rot, will produce maggots. Fish is what I can eat, but once the maggots are in it, no one wants to eat anymore. Don't talk about eating, just thinking about how it smells so bad is enough to make you want to puke.
As soon as someone mentioned sour tamarind, your mouth would immediately salivate, or when you thought you were standing on the edge of a thousand-mile abyss, your legs would tremble, and the soles of your feet would feel shaky; It's the same here, when you think of the smell, you immediately feel like vomiting.
Something very strange: people in Shanghai love to eat things that smell rotten. They like to eat a kind of tofu that smells like the stool in a toilet. Do you think it is strange? I don't mean to make fun of Shanghai people, but that's the truth. I have been to Ngu Dai Son, staying at Fa Yu pagoda and P'u T'i pagoda, the people of this area eat nothing but a fragrant sugar cane sugar.
Sugar is originally made from sugarcane, I don't understand why people here eat it, it stinks to the sky. I was not picky. For me, good food is the same. Once it has become a food, I don't care about being picky. But the sugar cane smell of rotten smell to the sky was too much, not easy to swallow. But the people there won't be friendly to me if I don't eat that.
They like to eat cane sugar, and if you don't eat, they will assume you despise them. There are many things in the world to eat, and every nation likes to eat things with different flavors. The nature of the people you visit is different.
You don't need to mind stinking things if you don't have a "big self". Seeing yourself as your big self is very rotten, more rotten than the stench of fish and the stench of feces. No one dared to be near me anymore. What happened? Because you are not big. But because you turned yourself into something rotten.

Lecture: This passage has the same meaning as explained above. "Ananda! must know that smell, that smell, that is not flux or no. It is not from the wisdom and the hindrance that smells arise. "It's not due to your nose." Nor is it from the nose that smells. "Nor is it from nowhere." So where did it come from?

If (the smell of) comes from the pine, then when it comes to it, (the smell) has already disappeared by itself. ” Pine and bit are two opposing states, so if the sense of smell comes from the pine state then there is no sense of smell in the sealed state. The smell in the sealed state will disappear. "How can you even know that?" If smelling in a state of bits does not exist, how can we know if there is a blockage?
"If there is a person in the place where there is a sense of smell - if the result is due to the state of blocking, then there will be no sense of smell when it is released. He would not be able to smell by smelling. How do you recognize the state of flux and the bit state? Therefore, the sense of smell does not come from the state of pine nor as it comes from the state of bits. You must know the nature of the smell.
In that case, how do you know the rotten aromas? ” Since the smell is not due to the flux or bits that are there, how can there be awareness of rotten scents?

 If you are born from the root , there will be no plug. There is no self-reliance in the body.

In the future life, the environment will change, but there will still be a process of birth, head, abnormality and cessation. So birth, cylinder, singularity and death are a very important concept in Buddhism. Almost anything can be used to illustrate this principle. This table is another example. When these pieces of wood were cut, they were intended to make a table, that is called birth, when it was made into a table and then called a pillar, it would not always exist as it is now. After using it for a long time, it will be partially damaged, it is called abnormal. Each time the monks rubbed their heads three times, they had to read a very meaningful stanza, I remember it like this:

Mac brain necessarily sentient beings In
vain spent suffering suffering as far as
As a prime minister.
Moriguchi taken no intention to commit itself
Mo angry all the various beings
no benefit when the pain away
as too is the Walker of the World
Means: Be cautious of words, keep the mind, act not rough. Do not touch the brain for all beings. Stay away from useless ascetic practices. Such austerities will save the whole world.
"Be careful with words" means do not be careless to say what you like to say. "Preserving the mind" means keeping one's mind from wandering, keeping the mind free of delusion. Do not pursue pros and cons. "Don't be rude." Keep yourself from committing bad karma.
When we are careful to say each word, we will avoid bad karma such as: not saying harsh words, not lying, not saying non-speaking, not speaking and weaving. With the mind being constantly maintained, we avoid greed, hatred, and delusion. The body does not do evil deeds, that is, it does not commit murder, theft, sexual misconduct. Even thinking about those things does not.
"Don't brainwash all living beings." This means that for all people and all sentient beings to come into contact with them, do not cause them to arise. Do not cause brain disorders for all living beings. Even fellow practitioners with us, do not disturb them. Sometimes we accidentally make mistakes that cause their activities to be disturbed; In such a case, you should seek a convenient opportunity to explain and do not let the situation continue.
"Stay away from useless ascetic practices." There are ascetic practices that do not bring benefits. For example, the practice of some ancient Indians, they imitated the habits of dogs and cows; sleeping on a nail bed, rolling in the dust. What is the meaning of that practice? Tu so what more? The dirtier the body, the more defiled the mind. When outside the body is unclean and you are always thinking about the impurities, the mind is defiled as well. This is called "useless asceticism." Don't be entangled in that practice. You should do things that benefit many people. Do not do things that are not beneficial to everyone. Stay away from that useless asceticism.
"A true spiritual practitioner will save the world."
'Practicing as it is' means not to cause disturbance to all sentient beings, not to follow the useless asceticism, to not follow the practice of the heathen. What is the religious meaning of the pagan goods?
Buddha Shakyamuni practiced the Middle Way. According to his practice, the disciples were taught to eat only vegetables, not meat. Or if you eat meat, you have to eat three kinds of pure meat.
Thus, the Buddha taught his disciples to eat vegetables and fruits, and do you know what Devadatta did with his wrong views? He thought, "Geez! Buddha taught his disciples to eat vegetables and fruits. Right? I will teach my disciple not to eat salt. " They abstain from salt as well. This practice of abstinence was also adopted by the Taoism, and considered by them to be the keepers of the first pure precepts. But in fact, that diet is not suitable for the Middle Way. But that is the way of a proposed method. The Buddha taught his disciples not to eat any more after noon. In the early morning they eat porridge and noon is the main meal. They eat twice a day even though the Buddha only has one meal at noon.
He did not eat in the morning nor in the evening. What did De-reaching-teach disciples? He forced his disciples to go on a diet within 100 days. “You guys only eat one meal a day. I only ate one meal for a hundred days. See how I practice higher than you? You abstain from meat, only eat vegetables; And we abstain from salt. I always practice higher than you guys. " Top-lady-reaching-most always want to compete with the Buddha. He wanted to oppose the Buddha's teachings, he always said that the Buddha was not equal to him.

He plotted different things from the Buddha, different from the ways of the Buddha. This is the way the heathens work. You can also say that Siddhartha wants to fight to become unique. He wants to be the first - he wants this all and wants it - and finally karmic retribution into hell! So practicing the ascetic way is useless.

For thousands of years a bowl of soup
blame it hard to hate like the deep sea

try to listen to the sound of the night Tu door.
Means: In the bowl of soup cooked with meat for thousands of generations, there is deep hatred like the sea and hatred is hard to control. If you want to know the cause of battle in this world, then listen to the butcher's cry at midnight.
"In the bowl of soup used to cook with thousands of generations," refers to the bowl of meat soup, meat soup that people have been familiar with for thousands of years. In that pot of meat, "There is deep hatred like the sea and hatred is hard to control." In the pot of beef stew, contains both deep hatred like the sea. Such deep hatred is hard to resolve. "If (you) want to know the cause of the war in this world." In ancient times, only weapons were crafted in the battlefield. Unlike today, when fired, bombs, guns, are designed to be fired from a distance.
In the earlier days, soldiers fought hand-to-hand with each other. These days it is thought to be an unfashionable mode of war. If you want to know the cause of the war going on in this world, then "Listen to the butcher 's cry at midnight." Go to the butcher's house in the middle of the night - to the place where pigs, cows, and sheep are slaughtered and listen to their roars.
What will you comprehend through that midnight call? Nowadays, slaughter houses are often located far from residential areas, so it is difficult to hear the sounds from the slaughterhouse. But we can imagine the tragic scene. People have killed so many creatures! And these creatures are reborn as humans, they want revenge. That is why the hatred is getting deeper and deeper and growing. There is no way to resolve that,
It was up to the point where the loan repayment cycle did not need to wait until the person who killed the animal died and then turned into an animal for the revenge to be expressed, but simply people killed immediately their own for revenge. You kill me and I kill you. You killed me in the past, now I will kill you. The tragedy of a battle executioner is based on karma of killing, but nothing else. That is why Buddhism teaches us to avoid killing. Instead of killing, we should free and keep the precepts.
If people avoid karma, then the world will reduce much violent force - which means less and less the effect of bad karma. If 10 people didn't kill, then 10 good things would appear in the world. These good things do not have negative effects but completely contain positive elements. For an individual it is the same for the whole world. If you kill all sentient beings, then they will not have any friendly feelings towards you. If you love all sentient beings, then sentient beings will be friendly to you. So there must be a close relationship between the human realm and the animal realm.

"Like this and that is the most wonderful thing," and then there arises attachment. It was completely false, not real, so he began to immerse himself in what they do?
"Capital is not predestined." Emotional knowledge does not arise from predestined relationships, "not naturalness."
It is not natural that they arise from nothingness. It emanates from the true nature as Tathagata of the Tathagata. But, they are also hopeless and unreal. Do not be attached to it. You have to betray revert, back to your miraculous nature from Tathagata. Let go of these corrupt generals and come back to realize your true nature. That is the treasure of the house, the duty of the wind room.

Lecture: Now I will explain the ethics of how the mind constitutes conditions for dhammas. "Ananda, in his mind he was predestined with the three nature." There are frequent conditions in his mind. Here is the predestined mind. The most important thing religious people must avoid is the predestined mind. When the mind starts to be predestined, there are obstacles. The 6th consciousness, the 7th consciousness, lose their tranquility and the whole feeling clings to the mind of predestination.
Therefore, it is not easy to practice diligently. So no matter how much good merit is achieved, it is only a lie if you achieve it with predestined mind. It is only a lie if you save sentient beings - no matter how much - with the predestined mind.
"Ananda, in his mind he was predestined with three nature: good, evil, and no sign." Goodness is only for the whole healing. Evil is only for the wholesome deeds. No sign is only for the whole law is not evil. These three dharma rules give birth to rules. " This is only for normal responses to the dharma, not to the Buddha Dharma. "Rules" are certain norms arising from the dharma ceiling.

  This method is complex ,  that is born of the heart ,  as when centrifugal ,  not well-being ?

"So it is not the predestination of mind - what your mind is predestined to be the scene. However, according to his argument, these dharma s are not naked; in that case, his mind could not be detached with it. So how did it become a country? Since there is no predestined condition (condition) for it to exist in the mind, then how can it have a place, a place? So the dhammas from karmic affinity are not rooted.

  If you are away from your heart , do  n't have a place. The law is self-sufficient ,  knowing what is wrong ?

 Knowing is famous ,  different is not dust , the  same as his heart .  That is, Ru is the heart ,  Yun He Ru heart more than Ru.
Phonetic:  Tri-nam tri principle, non-ceiling, as well as forgiveness of mind, News such as mind, van ha nhuy nhuy, nhuy nhuch?
Vietnamese translation: If known, it is called the mind, but if it is different from him and is not the same as the mind of others. And if it means he is also the mind, then how can his mind be two?
Lecture: "If known, then called mind. Suppose he thinks that they are known - they are perceived; What is known is called the mind. But if it's different from him and not naked. 'Different from him' means that it is separate from him. It will be outside you. But according to his argument, it is not naked, because it has perception, as is the mind of others.
And if it means he is also the mind - Perhaps he insists that what separates outside him and perceives is actually his mind. So how did his mind become two? If you explain by thinking that it is someone else's mind but actually yours, why not become one with you? If it knows, it is the mind; but why is there between you and your mind two? ”

  If you don't know it ,  this dust is not a color, smell fragrance ,  clutch ,  warm and cold. And the void phase ,  as in what ?

"And the emptiness general" It also has the general of nothingness. “Then where will it be? So, where do you say those things are from? ” That is what Buddha asked Ananda. But now Ananda did not dare to answer.
