IGNORANCE is a symbol of decline.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
In the Dhammapada the Buddha teaches that the three poisons "greed, hatred and delusion" are the causes of unhappiness and unhappiness for people. Greed, hatred and delusion can be easily found in one's own actions, language, and thoughts as well as those of others. Experience tells us that wherever and whenever, if greed and anger are present and reign, personal or shared life becomes ugly and painful. Greed is a product of people and society and it is the cause of damaging the peaceful life of humankind like bamboo blooms from a bamboo tree and a symbol of decline of bamboo, meaning when bamboo flowering is when bamboo dies.

REFERENCES
"Greed" is greed. Excessive lust. Deeply drunk, excited to have many things you like, such as money, beauty, fame, etc. Greed for yourself, then greed for your relatives, your country, your society. Because of greed, humanity struggles to kill each other. Greedy people hate those who achieve.
If you have the greedy mind, you must "cultivate the mind" right away. Minority is to want less, to be contented enough. People with sexual and intellectual disabilities have a simple, noble and safe life because they know enough about what they already have. Giving up greed gradually to achieve "no greed". No greed is not greed.
In life, there are five sensual pleasures, which people most desire are: money, beauty, fame, eating, sleeping. "Five sensual sensual pleasures", in fact, less fun but more suffering. Pre-covetousness had to torment the living body, sometimes it was also used by nefarious means to usurp and suffer when it was lost. For beauty should contemplate the body is impure, greed, then sometimes plunge into the wile cunning to satisfy desire. Greed for fame, right to the right to be slipped into the bow, working hard mind.
The story tells that a rich man without children, died, leaving all his great career assets. The king commanded his inheritance into the treasury and came to serve the Buddha. The White King confided to the Buddha and noted that although this rich man was close to the Buddha's seat, he never left his bowl to make offerings to him. On this occasion, the Buddha told more about the wealthy past life of having done good deeds by making offerings to a Pratyeka Buddha but regretting his offering and committing a crime of killing his grandchildren to win his fortune. my brother. The Buddha taught that:
(Dhamma 355)
Wealthy, abundant assets
It only hurts those who are stupid,
It is easy to harm people
Praying for enlightenment in the direction of Nirvana,
Just for the desire to be rich
The fool has hurt himself
More harm to the surrounding people.
Buddha praised those who were not greedy and advised everyone to make offerings to them. But when giving alms should consider carefully. Doing so will be similar if you bring seeds and sow on good soil, fertile soil at the time of new flowering, fruity results. If you meet someone who has a virtuous feeling, almsgiving will be greatly blessed. Teaching about the merit of the donor to the absolute purity, the Buddha taught greed as a weed that harms upland fields, this is harming the "mind land" of austerities and treating craving is nothing more than giving:
(Dhamma 356)
Wild grass harms the garden
Greed is more harmful to people,
Greedy who left
Offering him no place anywhere
Enjoy the immense blessings.
According to the Sutta, the "Good Tenfold Path", people who do not desire will be able to achieve the following good things: The three karmic actions, speech, and thoughts are free, wealth will not be lost, enjoyment of virtue and good things will be come to me, even though I don't wish for it.
The Buddha also taught not to take greed and hatred, not to let sin take you into misery. Sin here is the opposite of righteous conduct, which is not according to the Dharma, in the latter sentence means anger. The root of evil is greed and hatred:
(Dhamma 248)
You should know that
It's easy to tame evil
Greed, sin deep pit
Pull us down to eternal torment.
YARD
"Yard" is anger, anger, anger, hatred when not satisfied, not satisfied as desired. Discontented by being offended, that person does wrong things. After the angry time retained resentment seeking revenge that occasion.
The reason arises because of the love of "I" or "mine". If people scold or disparage someone other than our time without being angry, but if anyone verbally abuses us or our relatives, or harms our property, we immediately feel uncomfortable. When discomfort increases gradually the time will become angry. But remember that in this world no one can avoid being reprimanded, disparaged, difficult to avoid from the mouth of the world as the Buddha once remarked:
(Dhamma 227)
Son of Buddha, listen
This is not just this life
A long time ago, I said:
"A person who blasphemously decays,
Talking too much is criticized all the time,
No matter how little you say, people will criticize ”.
Making people not to be laughed at
It is hard in the mundane.
In the past, in the future and in the present, no one has been criticized by everyone or praised by everyone, just as the Buddha taught:
(Dhamma 228)
In life, all criticized
Or always hear outsiders compliment us
Since ancient times, nothing has happened.
It's hard to find in the present,
The future also does not exist.
But because of being disgraced and angry at times when people are angry, people are no longer calm enough to control their own behavior and language. Sutra Sutra strictly states: "When a recitation of anger arises, hundreds of thousands of karma doors are opened." And: "A yard of fire, can burn all acres of forest of merit." The Buddha advised: "Give up your anger, then afflictions will not come to you."
Must cultivate the mind to reach "infinite yard". No anger is not angry, all anger. Beings have been reborn through many lives of samsara because they cannot win over their hearts. Buddhas are free, liberated, because they are completely eradicated from the root. The hardest thing is to eradicate anger from the heart. When our mind no longer thinks of anger, naturally anger will not arise. While cutting down trees to store his net, the Bhikkhu and the other accidentally accidentally damaged the young shoots of a tree deity. This guy was angry, wanted to kill the teacher but thought that he should control his anger arising. Buddha praised the god and taught:
When rage erupted
Who can stop is the cool
As good as brake immediately
The car is full, speeding,
If not then myself
Reigning apathy indifference where nothing.
Venerable Maudgalyāyā has asked many Gods for what merits are reborn into heaven. They recount actions that seem to be of little importance, such as honesty, patience, and generosity, etc. When Maudgalyayana asked the Buddha, small but good deeds can lead to the heavens do not, Buddha taught:
Say the truth always,
Quit unsightly anger and unsightly anger,
Although we have a little of it
Also gave alms to those who came to ask,
Thanks to the three good deeds above
Take us to the realms of gods.
Explaining the merit of the offeringer to the utter purity, the Buddha taught that weeds harm the garden of anger and anger also harm humans. So someone who kills all of his anger, he should be expected and admired:
Wild grass harms the garden
Aversion is more harmful to people,
Who leaves anger then
Offering him no place anywhere
Enjoy the immense blessings.
Elephants are one of the most important animals among humans trained to use. Like an elephant with the power to be able to uproot a trunk, wrap the trunk around the trunk to carry it easily, the Buddha taught that humans can also create their own physical potential, mental energy, perseverance. rings and power, just like an accomplished elephant. Practicing patience is hard:
Train elephants to attend the festival, talent instead
It is also very good to practice the elephant king riding,
But if you can practice
Always patient, no more angry
When listening to vilify themselves
New is virtuous, more talented.
The Buddha taught that it is very precious to self-control and that the person who tries, patient enough to train himself at the same time will enjoy the same good results as someone who has skillfully trained animals like mules, horses and elephants. Proficient people, dignified morality is above all:
Mules are trained through
To be pure, to be good,
Horses born in the green river
After training, become a great horse,
Huge elephant ivory instead
After training this elephant completely,
Man if himself
Tame yourself always be yourself
Who is really ingenious!

The Buddha advised sentient beings to renounce both greed and hatred. He likened a boat to the body, like a human body due to the five aggregates. This body will disintegrate because of impermanence, so consider carefully that it is indeed empty. Water in boats is a bad thought to eliminate. Slapping to dry out the water immediately put out the fire involved. When the boat dried up, the boat became gentle to quickly cross the shore. Body and mind to eradicate craving and anger become pure, which is a good condition for the early witness of Nirvana:
Bhikkhu slapped this boat
The boat was not relieved immediately in the line,
Greed and anger are finished
This body is also slightly polluted
Nirvana quickly crossed the shore.
According to the Sutta, the "Ten Good Works," those who are not angry, do not suffer, the mind does not scramble, the mind is peaceful, the mind is compassionate like the Buddha, often making peaceful benefits for sentient beings and bodies solemnly revered by sentient beings and because of virtue of patience, will soon be born in the Brahma realm.
AND
"Si" is delusion, ignorance, ignorance. Ignorant people are not wise, do not consider the right and true knowledge to judge bad or good things, good and bad things, etc., so that they can do things that are contaminated with sin and harm to themselves and people. Si, worldly ignorance is called "foolish" or "foolish". Ignorance obscures the mind, so that people can no longer see the rotting substances chewing from within them, causing these bad habits to gradually increase and eventually bring people on the path of sin. hypnosis. Buddha taught that ignorance is the worst pollution. Let go of ignorance to become pure
The two Xa Loi Phat and Maudgalyayana told the Buddha that they could not persuade their former teacher to come to the Buddha and listen to the teachings because he was too fond of his followers. On this occasion, the Buddha explained the difference between a true deducer and a wrong one and the obvious consequence of each inference:
What is not true, illusory
So true and unbelievable,
What the truth doubts
Not real, just fake,
Lost thinking lost
See true stars radiant colors.
Knowing this is true to believe
Know that is not true, illusory only
Thinking in the right way
Seeing right where the true color radiant.
With these two Dhammas, we have seen the central role of ignorance and wrong view in the sources of unwholesome deeds. So it is no wonder that the Buddha advised us not to follow austere, strict, austerities, only to appear on the outside and not to take care of the sacrifices, because these actions do not lead us to enlightenment for liberation does not help us to become clean. Seeing a bhikkhu who had many furnishings and private possessions, added more medicine, the Buddha rebuked him. Teacher was angry, took off all the robes he wore outside and threw it away, he only wore the blouse inside. Buddha recounted the same story that happened in his previous life. He advised the monk to live frugally, in his heart to be ashamed of doing harassment and to be afraid of sin. Want to purify the body and mind, you need to get rid of your doubts
Although constant asceticism
Naked, braided hair, black ash rubs herself
Fasting, lying on the ground, rolling
Dirty living, squatting to mortify the body
Where the mind is pure
If not minus the skepticism.
A time in India still existed many forms of asceticism. A dirty layer on the outside is considered by some to be a sign of a saint. The Buddha did not accept the strict form of asceticism aimed only at appearance. Monks who follow His spiritual path must follow a path in the middle, which is "the middle way". Two extremes must be avoided, one is ascetic and the other is beneficial. Simplicity, humility, frugality and a clean lifestyle are the main characteristics of monks. Moreover, in order to make our mind pure, we need to remove doubt because if we have not yet regained doubt, we will not have faith in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
The Buddha taught that even though there is a sacrifice of fire in a century not equal to a moment of reverence of the pure, fully cultivated monk. His nephew, Xa Loi Phat, told his teacher that he had the habit of killing animals every month and setting fire to the sacrificial forest to pray for his rebirth in heaven. Xa Loi Loi Phat brought me to the Buddha and the Buddha instructed and guided my grandson on the right path so follow:
Hundred years in deep forest
Slope of worship of fire is no match
Just a moment of offering
Those who practice a true religious path
It is infinite merit
Than worship the ignorant fire hundred years.
The Buddha also taught that honoring a saint, a virtue, even for a moment, would bring merit and wealth rather than making offerings of food or objects to mortals. A friend of Sir Xa Loi Phat spends a lot of money every year to kill the scapegoat and opens a generous giving festival. The Buddha persuaded him to return to the true offering:
Throughout the year of generosity, offerings
To pray for merit is not comparable
A quarter of our merit
When we respect the monks
High bar, boundless integrity.
Usually, we are not afraid of "greed" and "anger" emerging, but we are only afraid of slow self-enlightenment, we are afraid of delusion and ignorance. If "greed" and "hatred" emerge, but we are judiciously timely, without ignorance, there is nothing we can do about greed. The Buddha learners must eradicate their ignorance, always have to be wise for everything, must cultivate the mind to achieve "infinite ignorance". Ignorance is not shady, not delusion. For all things, there is always wisdom, thinking, judging the wrong, bad, right and wrong things, etc. good for you and both for the people, now and in the future. Teaching about the fruits of the offerings to the completely pure Buddha, the Buddha said:
Wild grass harms the garden
Lethargy is more harmful to people,
Loving who has left
Offering him no place anywhere
Enjoy the immense blessings.
According to the Sutta "Ten Kinds of Goodness", people who are not ignorant, achieve the following merit: the true good and good will; believe in cause and effect, it is better to give up your life than to do evil; only refuge in Buddha; righteous mind, with right views; born into heaven, from falling into three evil ways; enjoy the favor; don't be inclined to accept the ego, remove all the bad karma, and avoid being in evil, etc.
TAM TOXIC
Some rich people are old and then become monks. A wife of one of the group was very skillful in cooking, so they would bring their alms bowls everyday to beg for alms. The benefactor offers a delicious food and drink. When this woman died, they missed and lamented and told. The Buddha advised the teachers "Practice the mind without attachment because when there are still forests of greed, hatred and delusion, you will suffer at the same time. Please cut down that forest and the teachers will be liberated ”:
Cut the forest but don't cut the trees,
Felling the craving forest full of ignorance
Because of that lust forest
That fear is easily generated
Big forest, small forest around us
Both forests are quickly cut down,
The monks, please escape
Escape forest dark desire surface.
Cut down the forest, but don't cut down the real tree. When the Buddha had just said "let's cut the forest", there were some monks who misunderstood, literally. Read the wrong thought that the Buddha further emphasized, clearly taught that this forest is not a real tree but a forest of desires such as craving, anger and delusion. Due to the forest of desire, fear arises. Cut down both the forest, the big tree and the small forest of desire. Here, the big tree is the big desire, has many facets of energy and the small tree is the small desire, less energy.
While teaching people that "craving, anger, ignorance" are the causes of suffering and need to destroy, the Buddha also told us that there are three more things: si ”are psychological factors that should be developed to build a peaceful life. In order to develop these three dharmas, we must cultivate according to the right path including "Precepts, Concentration and Wisdom".
Advice is easy at the time, but humans do not easily improve. For human beings, a long time past life was dominated by the basic afflictions of photography. Once the Buddha gave a sermon to the five listeners, only one listened attentively, and the others were distracted, not paying attention to his advice. One fell asleep, one drew with his finger to the ground, one sat near a tree and shook its leaves and branches slightly, one looked up at the blue sky. The Buddha explained that this is because of their tendencies, habits, which have existed in many past lives. When Venerable Ananda asked the reason, Buddha further explained that it was due to the four sources of "craving, aversion, ignorance, and craving":
No fire can match
The fire of desire and greed is boundless,
No longer persistent
With the mind of anger rising periodically,
Which grid binds profusely
Compared to a stupid, bound net,
Which river should sink for
The river craving covers many people.
There are two monks. One, mastering the teachings but being an ordinary one, doesn't practice what he has learned. The other, although not much learning but practice the complete Dharma, renouncing greed, hatred, and ignorance, should have attained Arhat, attained Nirvana, and enjoyed the fruits of the spiritual life of virtue. One day the Buddhist monk wanted to cause confusion for the holy monk in front of the Buddha, so he posed many questions. Knowing that low intention, Buddha raised a few questions related to the realization of the Dharma. According to personal experience, the Arahant answers everything but the venerable did not, because no holy attainments were achieved. On this occasion, the Buddha praised the Arahant for practicing his teachings, although he was not as competent in the dharma as the ordinary monk:
Even if only reciting few sutras
But follow the Dharma practice early or late
Out of greed, all the yard, si
The mind is always alert, the mind is gentle
Before and after liberating every way
Practicing the fragrance forever.
According to Buddhism, learning methodology is not useful without actually practicing what you have learned. Thus, Buddhism is not a mere philosophy but the only path of enlightenment.
A beautiful young woman was introduced to the Buddha's father by the father because the father saw his solemn appearance. But Buddha refused. He said that when he was about to become a Taoist under the Bodhi Bodhi tree, he had three beautiful daughters try to take beauty to attract him, but all failed. Those three girls are craving, aversion, and lust. Now no one can use any means to seduce Him into recession. Because he has eradicated all desire, there is no trace of greed, hatred and delusion. His spiritual victory cannot be moved:
No one else is more human
Having won the place of sex
Such a person himself
In life, not afraid to follow
Immense Buddha sublime world
Greed, hatred, ignorance are all over
Easy temptations.
(Dhammapada 180)
The grid has been cleared
Sexually difficult to find other people to follow
Immense Buddha sublime world
Greed, hatred, ignorance are all over
Easy temptations!
The practice of the way out of "greed, hatred, and ignorance" has always been of interest to the Buddha and encouraged his disciples to practice so that the peaceful methods of growth and suffering can be eradicated. . If not skillful to practice, not only the growth suffering but the goodness is also eliminated. If one tries to cultivate and cultivate the mind to get rid of the cycle of "greed, hatred, and delusion" of course he will be completely liberated.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.30/6/2020.
