The Lady Who Has Complained Medicine Y Inadequate.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

The mind has not left unclean ...
This teaching was preached when Buddha was staying in Ky Vien, dedicated to the golden robes ceremony of De Da Dat in Vuong Xa.
On the occasion of the two great Buddhist disciples, each leading five hundred monks, saying goodbye to Buddha from Ky Vien to Wang Xa, the Wang Xa people, groups of two, three or more, made offerings according to the offering ritual. Guest increase.
One day, Venerable Xa Loi Phat, in the dedication of merit, said: "Hey Buddhas, there are those who give alms themselves but do not teach others to give, he is blessed with riches for many consecutive lives but he does not. There is a blessing to the relatives of relatives, Another person teaches his neighbor to give alms but he does not, he has the blessing of the relatives of relatives for many generations but no blessing of the property. neither giving nor teaching others alms, in many successive generations he does not have porridge rice but also lonely and deprived again.A person who just gave alms and taught others alms, who That many successive lives, hundreds of thousands of thousands of generations, has been blessed with fortune n had many dear ones. "
Venerable Xa Loi Phat gave a sermon like that.
A fake mind listened to himself thinking, "Sir, this sermon is wonderful, explaining the meaning of happiness. We have to create merit for these two false senses."
Then he invited the Elder to come to life, saying:
- Imitation White Sun, please allow me to serve and make offerings to tomorrow.
- Layman, how many monks do you invite?
-How many monks, how many monks, are there?
- One thousand monks, Lay people!
- Please follow Your entire Bhikkhu tomorrow and allow me to serve and make offerings to tomorrow.
False religion accepted.
Then the Unforthgoing One goes around the street, advising others to make offerings.
- Gentlemen, ladies! I have invited a thousand monks. How many monks can you offer as a monk? How much are you able?
The people promised to offer food, each depending on their means, they said:
- We will offer ten.
- We will offer twenty.
- We will offer one hundred to you.
The laity instructs them to bring real objects to one place and says:
- Let's gather real things in one place and cook together. All you please bring sesame, rice, butter, liquid milk, honey and others.
Then a homeowner offered a scented yellow robes worth a hundred thousand coins, saying:
- If the real offerings donate but not enough, sell this suit to cover the shortage. If the real thing is enough, you can offer this robes to any monks you agree to.
Plant material contribution fully at the discretion of the owner, nothing is missing anymore. Therefore, Laymen said to the men:
- Hey gentleman! This yellow leaf was worshiped by a homeowner. So who should we offer?
Some people say:
- We should offer it to Elder Xa Loi Phat.
Others say:
- Elder Xa Loi Phat only goes back and forth when the season is over. And Ðề-Bà Đạt Da comes to us often, season day as well as day, and always ready as a pitcher of water. Let's make offerings to Him.
After a long discussion, the majority of the four men decided to present him to De-Ba Dat Da. Then they offered to De-Ba Dat Da. Ðề-Bà Đạt Da cuts y into two, sews, dyes, part of it to make upper and lower him; and put on him when he comes out. People were talking again when he saw his new robes:
- Y does not correspond with Ðề-Bà Đạt Da, but corresponds to the venerable Xa Loi Phat. Ðề-Bà Đạt Da has covered up with the upper robes and the lower robes are not commensurate with him.
Now, there was a monk from far away from Wang Xa to Xa Ve, who came to pay homage to the Buddha and expressed his joy to meet him. Buddha asked him about the welfare of the two Great Disciples. The monk told him the whole story of the robes from beginning to end. Buddha said:
- Hey monks! This is not the first time that De-Ba Dat Da has been wearing clothes that he did not deserve. In his previous life, he also donated incompatible robes.
After saying this, he told the following story:
A. The Hunter and the Elephant
Once upon a time, when King Pham Ma Dat (Brahmadatta) ruled Ba La Nai, an elephant hunter made a living by killing elephants, bringing tusks, hooves, hearts, and meat to market. Now in a forest there were thousands of elephants looking for grass. One day, in the forest they met a few enlightened Buddhas. From that day on, both turns and coming back, they all knelt down in front of the Pratyeka Buddha before moving on.
The hunter saw the action of the elephants, he could not help wondering: "It is very difficult to kill these animals, every time they come and go they pay homage to the enlightened Buddhas. Behold? ”When he came to the conclusion that it was because of the yellow robes, he decided,“ I must also wear a yellow robes immediately. ”Then he went to the pond where the Pratyeka Buddha often came. While He was taking a bath, his leaves on the shore, he stole His robes. Then he went hunting, waiting on the road where elephants used to come and go, with a spear in his hand and a leaf covering his head. The elephants saw him, thought the Buddha was enlightened, stopped paying homage to him and walked away. The elephant came to the last homage, the leading elephant was killed with a spear. Having taken the tusks with other valuable parts, buried the remains on the ground, he left.
Shortly after, the Bodhisattva was reborn as an elephant, then became the herd of elephants. At that time, the hunter still continued with his old tricks. The lord elephant saw the number of elephants in the flock down and asked:
- Where did the elephants go, where are we too few?
- We don't know, Your Honor.
The Queen Elephant thought to herself, "They can't go anywhere without my permission." Then a doubt came to mind. I have to spy on him. ”
Then the first elephant let the other elephants go first and it went last, walking very slowly. When the last elephants finished paying their respects and passed, the hunter saw the queen's elephant coming, and immediately he rolled him up and launched a spear. The lord elephant was wary when approaching, so stepped back to avoid the spear. Immediately knowing that the person who killed his elephant, the queen immediately rushed to catch him. But the hunter quickly jumped over and hid behind a tree. The queen intended to wrap the hunter with the trunk, grab him and scoop him up. At that moment, the quick-witted hunter showed the yellow robes to the elephants to see. Seeing the leaves, the elephants stopped looking hesitantly: "If we attack this person, the esteem that thousands of Buddhas, Pratyekabuddhas and Arhats dedicate to us will of course be lost," the elephant said. Please ask the hunter:
- Did you kill all my other relatives?
The hunter answered:
- Yes sir.
- Why are you acting so bad? He wore a robe for those who had escaped desire, but did not deserve him. In doing so, he committed a serious crime.
Saying so, the elephant reprimanded him one last time:
Who wears robes,
The mind has not left uncleanness,
Not homemade, not real,
Not worthy of ca-ca.
Whoever leaves is unclean,
The precepts are very skillful,
Homemade, true to life,
It is worthy of ca-robes
- You acted inappropriately.
The elephant said so.
When the teacher finished this lesson, he identified the characters in the story of the birth of the following:
- The hunter at that time was De-Ba Dat Da, the princess elephant rebuked him for being Ta. Hey monks! This is not the first time that Ðề-Bà Đạt Da has donned a robes that he does not deserve, he has done so in his previous life.
After saying that, he read the following Dhammas:
(9) Whoever wears a cassock,
The mind has not left uncleanness,
Not homemade, not real,
Not worthy of ca-ca.
(10) Whoever leaves is unclean,
The precepts are very skillful,
Homemade, true to life,
It is worthy of ca-robes. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.28/10/2019.
