Three paths of evil means: Hell, hungry ghosts, animals. These three roads are like a prison in the world. If we do not break the law, if we do not create bad karma, if we are ethical and honest people, these three evil ways will never be there. This prayer expresses the dream about morality in life, about the existence of gentle and healthy people who love and help each other.
We think that the words of the Buddha are ambiguous, depicting a world far away, fiction. But in fact, when looking back, the Pure Land is the world of civilization, the pinnacle of a comprehensive ethical society. In that place, people do not have to do anything to make a living, only practice, cultivate morality to achieve liberation.
If we live without education and without a moral foundation, to bind, so that we learn and follow, then between us and the animals is no less, even more dangerous. animals, because we have thought. And because of that sentiment, morality limits people's crimes. We learn Buddha to grow up and we realize that action leads to mistakes.
