Five methods to eradicate anger.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.
If there is someone whose words are not cute but acting cute, if it is a wise person who is bothered by that person, then he should know how to take care of that annoyance.
This is what I heard, when the Buddha was still living at Cap Lon Lon Monastery, in Thang Lam forest, in Xa Ve city.
That day, Venerable Shariputra said to the mendicants:
"Hey fellow practitioners, today I want to share with you about five methods to eliminate anxiety. Please you listen and contemplate.
The the mendicant obeyed and listened,
Venerable Xa Loi Phat said,
"What are the five methods of eliminating anger? (C)
This is the first method, hey friends:
If there is someone but the actions are not cute but the words are cute, if we are the wise people and we are bothered by that person, we should know how to avoid them.
Monks, for example, there is a mendicant mendicant, wearing robes, one day passing through a pile of dirt with feces, urine, pus, and other unclean food. a piece of cloth still healthy. He held up the cloth with his left hand and stretched it out with his right hand. Seeing that the cloth was not punctured, nor was feces, urine, pus, and other impurities sticking, he folded the cloth, took away, took it home to wash and sew together with the sheets. other cloth makes medicine algae. Likewise, fellow practitioners, when there is a person whose actions are not cute but the words are still cute, let us not think about his actions but only pay attention to his cute words. Then, to be able to eliminate his anger. The wise have to practice like that. (C)
This is the second method, hey guys:
If there is someone whose words are not cute but acting cute, if it is a wise person and he is bothered by that person, then he should know how to take care of that annoyance.
Monks, for example, not far from the village, there is a deep lake but the water surface is covered with moss. At that time, there was a person who came near the lake, who was suffering from hunger and heat. He took off his shirt on the edge of the lake, jumped down, used his arms to remove moss from the grass, and happily showered and drank cool water in the lake. Likewise, fellow practitioners, when there is a person whose words are not cute but acting cute, let us not think about his words but only pay attention to his cute actions That's it for you to get rid of your anger. The wise have to practice like that. (C)
This is the third method, hey guys:
If there is someone who does not act cute, words are not cute but still a little cute in the heart, then if you are a wise person, you will be annoyed. for that person, we should find a contemplative way to eliminate that annoyance.
Practitioners, for example, there is a person going to an intersection, exhausted, thirsty, deprived, hot and depressed. At that intersection there was a buffalo footprint, in which there was some rainwater left. He thought: "Although the water in the buffalo's pores at this crossroads is very small, if you use your hands or leaves to get it, you will be able to stir it up and it will not drink, so it will not be removed. and thirst, inadequacy, heat, and sorrow in us. Then let us kneel, our hands and knees against the ground, and drink water directly with our mouth. " He immediately knelt down, hands and knees pressed to the ground, bringing his mouth to the buffalo's feet to drink. Likewise, fellow practitioners, when you see someone whose actions are not cute and the words are not cute, but there is still some cuteness in their hearts, then we should not be mindful of actions and His words are not cute, but you should pay attention to the little cuteness that still exists in his or her mind so that you can get rid of your anger. The wise have to practice like that. (C)
This is the fourth method, friends:
If there is someone who does not act lovingly, the words are not cute and there is not a bit of cute left in their hearts, then if it is someone If the mind is bothered by that mind then I should find a way to eliminate it.
Monks, for example, there is a man who travels far away, on a half-mile long path. Misery, withering, loneliness, no companionship, the hamlet behind has left for a long time but the hamlet ahead is also very far away, that person is in a desperate situation, knowing he will die in along the way. Meanwhile, another person came, saw this situation, and immediately helped. He helped the other to reach the front hamlet, take care, treat and provide for medicine and food. Thanks to that help, the other person escaped. The reason the other person escapes is due to the mercy and intellect of this person. In the same way, fellow practitioners, when seeing someone who does not act lovingly, the words are not cute and there is nothing in the mind that can be called cute, then one must generate the mind. recite this: "A person whose actions are not cute, words that are not cute and the mind is not cute is a very miserable person, this person is definitely going on extremely evil paths, if he has not met good faith awake, he will not have the opportunity to transform and go on the paths of happiness. " Thinking like that, we can open to mercy and introspection, eliminate our anger and help the other person. The wise have to practice like that. (C)
This is the fifth method, friends:
If someone acts cute, the words are cute and the mind is cute, then if it is a wise person, the mind is annoyed or to be jealous of that person, I should find a contemplative way to get rid of that annoyance.
Monks, for example, not far from the countryside, there is a beautiful lake, the lake water is sweet, the lake bottom is deep but flat, the lake is full, the green grass grows close to the lake, the four sides of trees verdant green gives plenty of shade. There was a man who went to the lake, thirsty, depressed, hot, sweating profusely. He took off his clothes, put them on the edge of the lake, jumped down, enjoyed bathing and drinking water; all my heat, thirst, and sorrow, all at once. Similarly, fellow practitioners, when you see a person who acts cute, cute words and the mind is cute, we should identify all his cute things about all three sides of body and speech. and mind without letting anger or jealousy take over us. If I didn't know how to live happily with such a fresh person, then I really wasn't an intellectual person.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.20/10/2019.
