THE FUTURE BUDDHA HAS TEN FUN. The reason why Buddha Shakyamuni preached about the ten Buddhas who were born in the future is: one day, Gotamī was the Buddha's foster mother, the younger sister of Queen Mahā Mayā, spinning the yarn with her own hands. sewed and dyed two very precious robes, intending to offer them to the Buddha. He only took one robe, and he told him to give it to the monks, she brought it from the Venerable until the end, no one dared to accept it because she thought that if no one dared to accept it, she would bring it back. for the Buddha, when at last there was a new bhikkhu, he accepted the robe and planned to give it back to the Buddha, they still mean to think that he has no faith and no reverence. Mrs. Gotamī meant to be sad because she gave it to the new monk, fearing that she would have little blessing. The Buddha understood and explained that: "Those who have a pure heart and make offerings to the Sangha of the ten directions will receive more blessings than those of the Tathagata." When the ceremony was over, that bhikkhu named Āsajjī took the robe to the place where the Buddha was and presented it to him, and prayed to become a Buddha in the future. The Buddha smiled bitterly, at that time the two pointed teeth in the lower jaw radiated rays of light reaching the Brahma heaven, the two upper jaws penetrated to the hell realm of Abhi. Venerable Ānanda, seeing this, knelt down and said to the Buddha, "Is there anything strange that the Blessed One laughs so clearly?" (because the Buddhas never laugh without cause), the Buddha replied: "O nanda. The bhikkhu Asajjī hereafter will become a Perfectly Enlightened One after the Tathagata named Maitreya Buddha (Mettayya). The Buddha just summed up how much and then went to the retreat to rest. At that time, the monks were gathered in the lecture hall to discuss with each other, not knowing how powerful the future Buddhas and teachings would be. These discussions entered the Buddha's ear, he went to sit in the lecture hall, at that time Venerable Sariputra knelt down and said to the Buddha: Please open your heart to love and explain the power and teachings of the Buddha. Dharma of the future Buddha. Because of that, the Buddha explained about the ten future Buddhas. The Buddha then explained that: Sariputra, after the Tathagata has passed away, there are five things that are destroyed: - Adhigāma antaradhāna: destruction of the path and fruition. Exactly one thousand years after the Tathagata's death, there is no one who has attained the path of Arahantship, including the six faculties and the analytical wisdom of the Tripitaka. - Pariyatti antaradhāna: destruction of the Dharma, is when exactly two thousand years no one has memorized the Tripitaka and lost it over and over again and began to lose the Abhidhamma, Sutta (Suttas) and then the Vinaya (because of the Law, the Way will not be lost because of the Law). also, because the Law is the foundation of Buddhism - Vinayo sāsanamulam). Indeed, nowadays, few people focus on learning the Abhidhamma by heart because it is difficult to remember and reason deeply. - Pātipatti antaradhāna: destruction of Dharma practice, because when it is exactly three thousand years, few people will love the practice, because it is difficult to follow it, but indeed, now the Buddhadharma has just passed for nearly 2498 years, but very few monks love the practice of liberation. - Liṅga antaradhāna: destroy the Sangha, when it is exactly four thousand years old, then he will be like a human being, because the group gathers to discuss that, despite his messy clothes, it is difficult to do work and then agree to give up his robes- sa, just wearing clothes like that, but taking a piece of yellow cloth (casa) tied around the wrist or over the shoulder, or put the edge of the ear to indicate that a monk is only busy with farming and wholesale like a layman. At that time, there were few cultivators who went to become boys (tried to hide food), only took two fruits (small baskets bigger than an umbrella) and applied bottle oil, put two varieties on them, and disappeared like a man carrying goods to sell. (The Tripitaka, volume 28 page 226). – Dhātu antaradhāna: destroying the relics, now the relics are scattered everywhere for the gods and humans to worship, when exactly five thousand years, all those relics will fly back to form a block, turning into a Buddha in Bodhgaya (Buddhagāya) in Central India, preaching the Dharma to save sentient beings, attaining innumerable results in seven days, then the natural fire in the metal body burned and consumed the relics. From that moment on, his teachings completely annihilated. After the completion of the Buddha-Dhamma period, the minds of sentient beings do not discriminate between sins and blessings, and are often violent and cruel, and their lifespan is reduced again and again until they are ten years old or a little less. As now, whoever knows how to cultivate, is virtuous and gentle, people praise him, whereas at that time sentient beings who are fierce, cruel, and dishonest will be praised (but evil is easier to do than good), so people increasingly ferocious, looking at each other like wild animals that want to eat each other. At that time, there was a battle of killing each other (Satthantara Kappa - Tripitaka, book 18, Devas, page 148), dead bodies were dense on the globe, leaving only a few honest people who did not like killing and ran away. hide in the deep forest, when the massacre is over, go out to meet anyone who is left, Also, please don't kill each other anymore (have kept a precept to kill) so their children are 20 or 25 years old, and then promise not to steal from anyone (keep the precept not to steal) their children and grandchildren. If you add up to 50 years of age, and so keep the five precepts of not killing, stealing, adultery, lying, drinking alcohol, then the life expectancy of the descendants will continue to increase until the age of 10. a new year a-tan period died. Living forever without dying is also boring, there is a class of people who say that they follow their grandparents all the time, so they don't see anyone die, and then they start killing again, so their descendants are reduced to half a year and then gradually removed them. morality, the age is lowered forever until the age of ten thousand years. At that time, Maitreya Buddha was born and taught the Way. He was born in the land of Ketu Mettī, his father's name was Subrama, his mother's name was Bhramavatī, At that time there were thirty thousand concubines and concubines serving. When he saw the four omen, he became discouraged and left home. When he left home, he flew over the castle with countless kings, vassals and military officers who followed him to practice the Way. In seven days, he attained fruition under a blind tree, with a life span of eight years. years, and His height is forty-four cubits. He was a brahmin, his aura in his chest, his hands and his knees lit up all day and night to the ten saha worlds, one could not distinguish day and night because the aura covered them all. Sun and moon, people only see flowers bloom or fade, or hear the rooster crowing that distinguishes day and night forever until he passes away. He practiced the ten perfections of the sixteen asankhyas and one hundred thousand aeons. Sariputra, the Tathagata only told about one of his perfections: having a birth as a wheel-turning king named Saṅgha Cakka. The Bodhisattva has seven treasures to rule over the world, and when he heard that a novice monk said that the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha had been born, he was so happy that he fainted three times. He gave the throne to that novice monk, so he walked barefoot to the place where the Buddha was. One day he lost both legs. His blood flowed out and he couldn't walk anymore. The next day he crawled on both hands and knees. one day also bleeding, the next day he couldn't crawl, so he crawled on his chest, his chest was bleeding, he couldn't crawl anymore, but he hadn't met the Buddha, only halfway. At that time, Buddha Sirimatti knew, so it turned out that the charioteer ran to tell me to avoid it, and the Bodhisatta said I couldn't avoid it because I was all sore. The Buddha asked him where he was going. The bodhisattva said I wanted to go see Buddha. Buddha said: let me give it to you. Then he got out of the car carrying the bodhisattva to get on the fake car. After driving for a while, he said this to the temple door, invited him to come down. At that time, when the god Emperor Thich knew, he brought a packet of rice and a pot of water to give him, he was sick and hungry, so he received food and water when his life was over then all wounds are healed and healthy as usual. When I went to see the Buddha, people were tens of thousands of thousands of people while preaching the Dharma, but it was quiet. The bodhisattva went in to pay his respects and asked the Buddha to preach the Dharma, and when he heard a verse, he asked the Buddha to stop and let him give the Dharma. He then took his fingernails and vowed to be as sharp as a sword, then cut off his head and placed it on his hands to make offerings to the Dharma. After the Buddha finished speaking, he fell at his feet and died. O Sariputra, because the bodhisattva does not care that his body crawls and slides, when he attains Righteous Fruition, a ray of light emerges from his chest, two hands and two knees always penetrate to ten thousand worlds and do not spare their lives, daring to give Dharma treasures, so when they attain Righteousness, their lifespan is eighty thousand years. After Maitreya Buddha passed away, the life span of living beings decreased and decreased until the age of only ten years was old enough, and there were no more sentient beings to be born on the earth. Before the hundred thousand years of destruction, the gods flew in the air and cried out that they would destroy the earth in a few more years. At that time, sentient beings were afraid and discouraged, everyone tried to cultivate and reborn in the Desire Realm, and the gods in this heaven were also terrified, and the burning earth also burned all six Heavens of the Desire Realm. and the two heavens of Form Realm are: Pārisajjā and Porohitta too, so they are terrified and try to meditate to attain the higher jhānas, until reborn in the heaven of Form Realm. When the earth is no longer inhabited, the sun rises gradually two suns, for a long time, rises again three, four, five, six, seven suns, then the sea water is no longer dry. one drop. At that time, fire broke out and burned the whole earth, then destroyed and burned all the six realms of the Desire Realm and the bottom two of the Form Realms. From then on, only the gloom remained until the formation of another new globe. From then on, in a space of as-tank-periods, no Buddha was born to teach the Way. Then there was the earth where two Buddhas were born: Rāmadeva and the fruit of Dammarājāmuni. The first, named Rāmadeva, when he saw the four omens, became discouraged, so he left home, attained enlightenment under the sage tree, lived for nine years, and was forty meters tall. The light shines forth all over the world constantly flashing back and forth across the void day and night. Due to the perfection of the Buddha's law, there is a tree like the will-feeling (kālabriksa) that grows in abundance for the use of sentient beings. This tree like the will of life has extraordinary power, anyone who wants anything, such as clothes, food, makeup, etc., come to that tree to make a wish, it will be as desired. This is due to the Buddha's paramita of aspirational power. Therefore, at that time, sentient beings were free from hardship, so everyone practiced cultivation, because whoever was born in time to Buddha, he saved all sentient beings, at least they were born in the heavens. Talking about one of his perfections: there was a birth named Nārada, met Buddha Kassapa (Ka-Lettuce) was born, heard the Dharma, saw the aura in the Buddha's body radiating brilliantly. A pure heart gives one's life, make offerings to the Buddha and vow to become a fully enlightened being with many auras like him After making a vow, he immediately wrapped a cloth dipped in oil on his body and burned it as an offering to the Buddha. When the fire is burning, the smell is fragrant. When the place was burned, a jade lotus rose, everyone thought that Mr. Nārada would become a Buddha as desired. After that, Buddha Dhammarājāmuni (the King Pasenadi Kosala) when he saw the four omens, became discouraged, became ordained, attained enlightenment under the tree, his life span was five and a half years, and his height was eight meters. Every step he took, a lotus flower on a wheel grew up to support his feet, when he sat down, a lotus of seven kinds of jewels sprouted up to serve as a seat for him to sit on. Due to the perfection of the Buddha's law, there are many trees like the will of life that grow so that the people who need to use have enough food and ornaments. Speaking of a paramita: there was a life when he was born as a very poor man, named Suddhā Māṇava, who rented a lotus pond for people. They allow each meal to only pick two lotus flowers in exchange for rice but only. One day, when he was selling two lotus flowers, he met the Buddha Konāgamana, and the Buddha saw him and smiled. He immediately asked the Buddha why he was smiling. Buddha replied: You are my brother, because I have attained Enlightenment, and you will become Enlightenment in the future. After hearing that, I was very happy, and I planned to fast for that meal to bring two lotus flowers to the Buddha and pray for him to become enlightened like him. The Buddha took a lotus flower and spread it out and sat on it. Seeing that it was very sunny, he prayed that the Buddha would not be sunny. At that moment four trees grew and two pieces of cloth formed a ceiling to shield the Buddha from the sun. The Buddha then prayed and predicted for him. At that time, all the gods and Brahmas heard the Buddha's wishes, and they all cheered and prayed together, the sound resounding in the heavens. Because of that sacrifice of fasting, when he attained Righteous Fruition, a tree like the will of life grew, there was enough food for sentient beings to use, and he gave lotus flowers to the Buddha, so after attaining Right Fruition, a lotus flower grows every step of the way support His feet. Next, in the following globe, a Buddha was born named Dhammasāmi (that is, Mara became a Buddha) when he was still a bodhisattva, saw the four omens, and became discouraged, so he left home and attained enlightenment under the long life tree. sālā) life span of ten thousand years, his height forty meters, the Buddha's aura always radiates out as bright as the sun and moon, constantly flashing back and forth. Because of the perfection of Dharma, when the Buddha walked, stood and sat down, there was a canopy of sixteen tall trees covering him all the time. And there is a gold and silver cellar growing up for sentient beings to use. Speaking of a paramita: then in his previous life he was born as Bodhināma as a minister. One day, the Buddha Kassapa entered the great concentration, the king in that country or so he sent the military guard to prevent anyone from doing blessings to the Buddha when he released his concentration, if anyone broke the law, they would be beheaded. At that time, the great minister Bodhināma ordered his wife and children to prepare food and a medical card to offer to the Buddha. In the morning he brought food and medical leaves, went to the front of the temple to see the soldiers surrounded, saw him bring things back, asked him and he told the truth that he had brought things to the Buddha, the soldiers immediately arrested him and brought him back to the king. King ordered beheading. At that time, the Buddha had just released his concentration to know, and immediately released his light to show him he was in front of him, he was very happy and brought food and leaves to the Buddha, The Buddha patted him on the head and said please let your family be harmless, and then he ate food. The official finished offering his vows for the city to attain a Perfect Enlightenment in the future. As soon as the Buddha predicted him, the soldiers took him to be beheaded. When he cut him, the ground shook, causing the king's temple to collapse. The king was afraid and ordered the gates to be closed. At that time, at the spot where the Bodhisatta was cut, a castle of seven kinds of pearls sprang up with a thousand fairies waiting, and sixteen gold and silver vaults sprouted in the four corners of the city, and the tree of the wish of longevity also sprang up due to the bodhisattva's power and blessings. slap. As for that mandarin, he came back to life as usual, at the age of five hundred, he had a wife and children and a servant. Due to the merit of risking his life to offer rice to the Buddha, when he was born, there was sali rice growing in countless numbers for the people to reap, no matter how much they needed to use it. After that, There was a globe where two Buddhas were born. The first was named Nārada (it was Rahula asurin, the lord of the Atulas who became Buddha). At that time, seeing the four omens, depressed, he left home and left home, attained enlightenment under the agarwood tree, his height was sixty meters. The light emitted is always like a flash, there is a bright lotus-shaped aura that emanates around and around the Buddha. Because of the Buddha's perfection of merit, the surface of the earth became food, and there were seven delicious flavors that sentient beings took the ground and used it as food. Speaking of a paramita: there was once a time when a Bodhisattva was born as a king named Sirigutta, and eight brahmins came to hear about the king's vow to become a brahmin, and then asked him for the throne. The king and the Bodhisatta gave it all away, took his wife and two children to the mountain and upheld the six precepts, following the ascetics and retreating there. At that time, there was a yaksha sixty meters high, came in front of the bodhisattva begging for two children to eat meat. The bodhisattva immediately gave two children and said that I had eaten seven statues, fourteen horses, and twenty wild animals, but I was still very hungry, so I begged the poor Lord to give me two children to eat. The bodhisattva immediately gave his two children and vowed to become a Buddha to save sentient beings. At that time, the earth's surface trembled and trembled, all the gods and Brahmas clapped their hands to welcome the Bodhisattva's victory, the sound resounded throughout the sky, and thunder and thunder roared again. Just as the yaksha took his two children behind his sala, ate them alive, and showed them to the bodhisattva, he was not angry, but delighted with the blessings he had done. (The author's words, most of us say compassion and pity, but only be compassionate to our wives and children, but there is nothing miserable about human wives, I just smile with my eyes, not pity. Don't talk about giving your wife and children to others, but even if someone invites you to go forth to become a monk, say I am out of compassion, poor wife and children can't help but speak nobly, not just say yourself Because of attachment or love, if you can't get rid of it, you'll be ashamed. On the other hand, the bodhisattvas, not out of compassion and pity for their wives and children, but more compassionately pitying all sentient beings than loving themselves and their wives and children. Because seeing the suffering that sentient beings cannot bear, they do not think of themselves or their wives and children to give up. After that, Buddha Raṃsi Muni (that is, Sonabrāhma), when he saw the four omens, became discouraged and left home, attained enlightenment under the gardenia tree, his life span was five thousand years, his height was thirty meters. The Buddha's aura radiates out all the time, it's yellow during the day, blue at night, shining like a jade, Thanks to the Buddha's aura, sentient beings at that time were as beautiful as pure gold, without dirt. Thanks to the perfection of the Buddha's Dharma, sentient beings just take the seeds of broccoli, plant them, and grow all kinds of food, utensils, and all kinds of things. Speaking of one of his paramitas: there was a time when a bodhisattva was born as a merchant named Māgha Mānava, very well versed in the trade of ten, but four times he was harmed, his boat sank, his house burned down, robbed, then the king confiscated the property. The bodhisattva got bored and left with only one golden robe and ten thousand taels of gold with him as capital. Meeting a bhikkhu of the Buddha Kakusandha who entered the samadhi for seven days, the pure Māgha Mānava gave him his robes and alms and vowed to become the Buddha to save all sentient beings. When the Arahant finished praying there, he sprang up a wish-fulfilling tree with a jade temple for him there. As a result, the earth then had two Buddhas born. The first named Devadepa (who is Subha Brahma) when he saw the four omens, he became depressed and left home, attained enlightenment under the plow, his life span was eighty thousand years, his height was forty meters, the Buddha's aura radiated out always in color. Due to the Buddha's perfection of blessings, the dust on the ground turned into sali rice and the wish-fulfilling tree grew with enough food for sentient beings to eat. Speaking of a paramita: there was a life when a Bodhisattva was born as a statue (elephant) named Chadanta with six tusks. When he met the body of an Arahant entering Nirvana near his residence, he made a wish to saw it on it. space fell, sawed the ivory as a place to burn the body of that Arahant and did good deeds for seven days and then prayed to become a Buddha, After the end of that life, he was reborn in the Tusat heaven. After that, Buddha Narasi Muni (who is Totī Brahma became enlightened), when he saw the four omens, he became discouraged and left home, attained enlightenment under the rosemary tree, his life span was eighty years, his height was thirty meters, his radiance in gold. The Buddha's body radiates out during the day, like a white mani pearl, and at night it is brilliantly golden. Because of his perfection of merit, with sali rice and trees like longevity growing up for the use of the world, people at that time were due to the Buddha's radiance that skin color was like pure gold. When the Buddha was in residence, there was a parasol made of seven jewels, three yojanas high, always in the air, covering the Buddha. Speaking of a paramita: there was a life when a Bodhisattva was born as Nanda Mānava. When he met the Solitary Buddha, he generated a pure mind, took a robe worth one hundred thousand dong, offered it to him, and prayed for it to become one. The Perfectly Enlightened One to save sentient beings. After Buddha Narasi Muni passed away, there was a time in the space of a great aeon when no Buddha was born. Then two Buddha ancestors were born. The first named Tissa (the elephant Nālāgiri became enlightened), when he saw the four signs, he became depressed and left home, attained enlightenment under the leather tree, his life span was eighty thousand years, his height was forty meters. There are things that shine like fire day and night, there are white things that look like boats, there are things like umbrellas, there are things like banners, there are things that follow His thousand eyebrows, always always follow Him. Due to his perfection of merit, many trees like the will of life sprouted up with enough food and ornaments for sentient beings to use as they wished. Speaking of a paramita: there was a life when he was born as a king named Dhamma Sena one day walking in a flower garden with his two children and his wife, There were two yakshas coming to ask for a child, when approaching the city, an old man came to ask the queen, the king gave it to him, he complained that he was poor and had no money to support her, so the king gave the whole throne to him. that old. When the king finished, the Bodhisattva left home as a Taoist and obtained magical powers. One day, when he heard about the birth of the Buddha Konāgamana, he flew to pay homage to the Dharma. When the Buddha preached a verse, he asked the Buddha to rest, let him give alms to the Dharma, took his fingernails, prayed to be sharp as a sword, cut off his head, gave the Dharma, and vowed to become a Buddha to save sentient beings. freed from suffering, then the whole earth trembled with great wonder. After that, a Buddha was born named Sumaṅgana (an elephant and statue of Palilāya who became enlightened) when he saw the four omens and then became discouraged and left home under a blind tree, his life span was ten thousand years, the Buddha's height was thirty meters, The light emitted by the Buddha was always around him. At night it was as white as silver, during the day it was as bright as pure gold. Due to His perfection of merit, there were many trees like the will of life growing up, there were enough food and ornaments for sentient beings to use without lack of anything, people were very happy at that time, like a joyful scene of heaven singing. dance to the melodious music when the wind blows and touches the leaves of such trees. Speaking of a paramita: when he was still a bodhisattva, having been reborn as a wheel-turning king, the bodhisattva possessed seven riches in the four seas. One day the king sent his guardian to search for gold and jade, he went to another country, when he heard that Buddha Kakusandha had been born, he drew a picture of the Buddha and returned to tell the king the story, the king was very happy. fell asleep three times. When he regained consciousness, he ceded the throne to that guardian because he had merit for him or heard that the Buddha was born, then he went barefoot to a great longevity tree to sit down, then sincerely pay homage to the Buddha from afar and make eight vows. ordained items flew to him. The Buddha knew his mind, so he sent eight spare parts to fly to the king's resting place, the king was very happy and received ordination there. Then he took the jade crown and threw it into the air and sent it to the Buddha, saying: He has left home and has gone to pay homage to the Buddha. The crown flew to the place where the Buddha lived and dressed as the king ordered, then the king went to the village to beg for food, finished eating, meditated and attained meditation, then flew to the place where the Buddha lived. When he went to the temple to meet the Buddha, he was so happy that he fell asleep three times. When he regained consciousness, he asked the Buddha to preach the Dharma so he could hear a verse, so he asked the Buddha to stop preaching and let him give away the Dharma, because the Dharma is precious and priceless. Then he took his fingernails and prayed to be as sharp as a sword, then cut off his head and placed it on his two hands, giving the Dharma to the Buddha and praying for the attainment of righteous results to save all sentient beings, the Buddha predicted. Buddha Shakyamuni further explained to Sariputra, saying: "Sariputra, if anyone has not attained enlightenment in the teachings of the Tathagata, may he attain enlightenment in the time of the ten Buddhas. In the future, it will be exactly as you wish.” (According to the Commentary, as someone who creates the blessing of giving and observing the precepts, he should make a vow like this: Idaṃ vata me puññaṃ āsavakkhayavahaṃ hotu - due to the merits that I have done here, I would like to establish a condition for the cessation of all negative dhammas. in the future. When you have made such a vow, it is not wrong to meet a Buddha in the future day.) O Sariputra, The bodhisattvas have been prophesied about ten, and there are n five million more because the perfection of the law is not yet complete, so no Buddha has predicted it yet. All Buddhas have the same tenacity, the same 32 strange signs, the same three virtues, eight the same wisdom or enlightenment, the same fifteen virtues.
