Knowing suffering, experiencing suffering, do not consider it to be suffering.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
As a Buddhist practitioner, in order to get rid of suffering and end suffering, one must constantly practice, overcome the same obstacles of body and mind to overcome all suffering.
Buddhism talks a lot about suffering. According to Buddhism, human life is a process of suffering many sufferings such as the suffering of birth, the suffering of old age, the suffering of illness, the suffering of death. In addition, there are other sufferings such as unsatisfactory desires, encountering hatred, burning body five aggregates, all of which add up to eight sufferings (Eight sufferings). Letting go of suffering is the ultimate goal of Buddhism, but before leaving suffering and ending suffering, the most important thing is to know how to recognize suffering.
Buddhism analyzes suffering to help us understand the main causes of suffering. But, if we only understand suffering in words, understand suffering through descriptions of others, then even if we memorize all the suffering without actually experiencing it, we still cannot fully experience it. suffering. Therefore, the Buddhist knowledge of suffering is nothing but a description of suffering. That is not enough strength for us to face suffering, because when we encounter unexpected situations, we are still greedy, angry, and delusional; When he meets his favorite things, he is still greedy and wants to receive everything for himself. No matter what, people just run around the psychological causes of suffering such as greed, anger, stupidity, arrogance, doubt, but the nature of suffering is still unknown. yes, this will impede our ability to be free from suffering.
Everything we need to go through ourselves to leave a deep impression on our hearts. Many people who study the Buddhadharma immediately know that life is a sea of suffering and since then they have devoted themselves to Buddhist practice. Most of the rest need to go through suffering themselves, such as an accident, a serious illness, a painful separation to understand that life is a sea of suffering. For example, the only lucky person who survived a plane crash or someone who suffered a life-threatening illness but was saved can understand what suffering is. When they experience those sufferings, they will have a completely different attitude to life. This is because they once "missed" so they will cherish this life very much. Therefore, even though life is more miserable, they can still endure it, they will no longer be anxious about life like other ordinary people.
In addition, people who have a loved one suddenly die will notice the fragility of life, from which they cherish their feelings for everyone around them. In order to acknowledge their feelings for the unfortunate people who have passed away, they will have a different attitude to life, either doing charity, dedicating themselves to society or donating their property to charity places. By experiencing suffering themselves, they will very strongly feel the impermanence of life; by going through those extreme sufferings, later on they will no longer be "intimidated" by suffering, no longer feel suffering.
From the above points, we see that bodhisattvas certainly cultivate from within their own sufferings and that of sentient beings because they are the ones engaged in the world, suffering all the suffering that sentient beings have suffered in their commitment. There, there is no longer suffering, but only joy for saving sentient beings.
Moreover, they go into suffering to save suffering people, as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva once said: If I don't go to hell, who will go to hell to save sentient beings? Truly, how great are those who commit themselves to life! From the above examples, we see that if you want to know suffering and experience it, you should know that suffering itself has never existed in this life, seeing that suffering is no longer suffering.
However, only bodhisattvas and those who have experienced this life fully understand this. As a Buddhist practitioner, in order to get rid of suffering and end suffering, one must constantly practice, overcome the same obstacles of body and mind to overcome all suffering.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.31/5/2021.
