See Buddha, listen to Buddha with faith and good roots.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH. The Lotus Sutra is a dharma that Bodhisattvas hear and practice, so it is not a Law of the Second Vehicle, and certainly not a dharma for human beings. Therefore, in order to hear the Dharma Flower Sutra, the Second Vehicle and the divine beings who want to hear the Lotus Sutra must generate bodhicitta in order to hear it. How does the bodhisattva listen to the sutras? Humans hear language, but bodhisattvas do not hear the language that meditators describe as hearing the sound of one hand clapping. How can one hand make a clapping sound? Venerable Ananda said it is hearing that which has no sound, seeing that which has no form. So how do you hear and see? It can be said that hearing and seeing with faith and with the practitioner's good roots. Indeed, believing in Buddha is the heart that thinks there is a Buddha, then sees Buddha. Those who do not believe say that there is Shakyamuni Buddha, but he is dead. This person cannot hear the Lotus Sutra and cannot see the Buddha. This was determined by the Buddha that he existed but many people did not see it, let alone when he entered Nirvana, how could they see the Buddha. Therefore, when outsiders asked the Buddha, he did not answer this idea. Listen to the Buddha with faith and see the Buddha with good roots. People often say this idea that only one can practice cultivation, it is the inner urge that makes us practice. Like I was only 12 years old, but looking for a monastery, my parents didn't send me to the temple. In fact, people who have children but can't raise them send their children to the temple, but they don't want to practice. When it grows up, it can be born, not cultivate. Nowadays, I often compare a person with good roots to having a smartphone in my hand, but I have a smartphone placed in my mind, so I see the Buddha preach and hear the Buddha preach. That is seeing the Buddha and hearing the Buddha with good roots, with faith. This person has good roots and causes them to generate Bodhicitta and practice according to the Lotus Sutra. Indeed, the Buddha said in the chapter Universal Worthy Bodhisattva promotes that there are four conditions for receiving the Lotus Sutra. First of all, people have good roots, so they can easily generate their minds and hear things that ordinary people don't hear, and know things that ordinary people don't know. People who don't have good roots have to plant good roots, so it takes them longer. To practice, Buddhists must overcome the four raging bodies of hunger, thirst, heat and cold to avoid being dominated by matter. But the second thing is more important, not to be dominated by the emotions of joy, sorrow, glory, and shame. I'm only afraid of Buddha's criticism, not afraid of people's criticism, because I don't live with people for long. It only takes a while to get to know someone, then everyone eats their food, everyone's house is in, everyone's business is taken care of. I often say that the road is long, there is much work to be done, from here to Buddhahood is still far. Must avoid disturbance, encourage you to let me go away. What they ask, if they say right, I will say yes, if I say the wrong thing, I will say yes. Because I know they ask to find a way to make it difficult to block my way forward, to slow down my steps, while my life is getting shorter and shorter. The Buddha taught that when one does not know where to go, one must leave this body and where to go, one must strive to practice the Buddha's Dharma. Cultivate, temporarily forget life to keep the goal to go forward. For example, a person who aims for Nirvana must practice the Four Noble Truths in order to reach Nirvana, and is completely free from life and death. Those who are enlightened want to die, they die. While we can't do this easily, we have to worry, fear that when we die, the karma of near-death will cause our mind to be disturbed and fall, and we will end our cultivation. I think that the first thing you need to do is practice, knowing your death and living and knowing where you are going to die is to take the initiative in your own death. As for life, it's okay to worry about losing, right and wrong, it's the same without worrying, it won't solve anything. Therefore, the important thing, at least we know to be reborn as a human and to be reborn in a place where there is Buddha Dharma to learn and practice. If you are born as an animal, you can't practice even if you want to. Cultivation of the Dharma Flower Flower Door is mainly done with the mind, but borrows the form to feed the mind. Actually, you practice with your mind, not with your body, but why should you go to the temple to worship Buddha, chant sutras, and listen to the Dharma? Because you have to bow to the Buddha to think of the Buddha, if you don't bow to the Buddha, it is difficult to think of the Buddha. And going back to the temple to listen to the teachings and understand the Buddha's teachings will you think rightly and do exactly what the Buddha taught. Thus, borrowing the worship of the Buddha, listening to the Dharma lecture at the temple to promote the cultivation of the mind is the main thing. We cultivate, at least be reborn as a human, not as another species. A bodhisattva born in any species knows their previous lives, but if he is born in all species, he does not know his previous life. The Buddha said that he wanted to be born as a human, not to commit the crime of killing, stealing, and sexual misconduct, and not to commit the four sins of the mouth. If they commit the crime of killing, the soul will be severely affected by this killing, causing them to be born there. For example, people who specialize in killing animals, when they die, they see animals appear to be dragged away. Or people who often fight to kill people like King Duong Thai Ton, who are sick and dying, see those killed by him appear demanding their lives. Every day what they do, death appears in the corresponding realm and urges them to enter it. Thanks to the good roots in the previous life, in this life, seeing a cultivator sees the body, hearing the sutras feels familiar. This is important. When I was a child, when I was in elementary school, because my house was ten kilometers away from school, I had to stay at a temple to go to school for convenience. I listened to the teacher chanting the sutras and made me memorize the sutras. One day, he was busy with work, not elaborate, he gave me sutras and asked me to recite it for him. I said this sutra you already know. He was surprised to ask when did he memorize it. I listen to the teacher chant, I know it, it is a good root in my previous life. I have chanted and listened to the sutras. After I recited it to him, he told me that I had good roots and stopped practicing. I said tu then tu! Then he took a razor to shave his head, happy not. If you have a good root, you will be able to practice easily. The Buddhists who cultivate the Dharma flower must plant good roots in the Buddhas, so that they bow to the Buddha, recite the sutras with all their heart, and earnestly think of the Buddha, and the Buddha will protect and recite them for them. People with good roots who chant sutras find it different from those who chant without good roots. Indeed, Wisdom only read Spirit Thuu mountain that he discovered the true spirit. I also have a true spirit, and listening to the Dharma Flower Sutra is the same as hearing that which has no sound. Buddha spoke with the true spirit and I listened with the true spirit, these two things meet, but it is often said that two great souls meet, that is, two people who have the same idea meet each other, they will feel familiar even if they do not speak. People with good roots and ideas that agree with the Buddha's ideas will help them advance in cultivation easily. Buddha and I are close to each other, so we can listen with good roots because we have a smartphone in our heart. Buddha is like a radio station, if you turn on the radio, you will hear Buddha immediately. These people see the Buddha, hear the Dharma, and listen in meditation, in Right Mindfulness. They practice, sit still and do not speak, but listen to the Buddha's teaching, see the Buddha and feel what the Buddha wants to convey. And I imitated sitting still, but when the time ran out, I didn't know anything. For example, Venerable Huu Van sat still, but his consciousness went up to the Tusita heaven to listen to Maitreya's sermon. People who meditate, do not chant or worship, but attain enlightenment. People who imitate and follow them do not attain the Way, and if they get sick again, they will fail. This practice is very important. If you want to practice meditation, you must first regulate your eating and sleeping habits to ensure that your body is healthy, don't force it, force it to become a disease. Buddha taught to eat just enough, or eat a little less to make it easier to cultivate. I don't know if I eat full and then meditate, my stomach will be yoke, because the food cannot be digested, bloated, and after a while, the stomach will be weakened. Must cure the stomach first, continue to try to sit, surely stomach pain. As a child, I was born with a congenital heart defect. Thanks to meditation practice, my heart returned to normal. So now I'm 84 years old and still keep a normal heart rate of 70-80 beats per minute. To lower my heart rate, I meditate, reduce my eating and drinking, my heart rate drops immediately, to 60, which means I have to be active in my body. Practicing, adjusting the body first by controlling the in-and-out breath. Zen masters often live in the mountains, but not all forests are habitable. If you can cultivate in any mountain, then go up there to attain enlightenment. Today, people examine the mountains where the Zen monks practice fasting, not eating food, only eating the air, because that mountain has air that contains many nutrients that support healthy life. If the mountain has poisonous air, if the water is poisonous, the disease will die. Find a place where you can practice to practice, not everywhere you can live. Likewise, if you cannot imitate, you must have someone to guide you. Once upon a time, the Buddha met a monk who taught him to eat roots, leaves, and fruits, but not food. But you must know which roots, leaves, and fruits are edible, because not all roots, leaves, and fruits are edible. Today, it is known that the roots, leaves and fruits have medicinal properties to cure diseases. Not seeing and imitating is easy to die.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.31/5/2021.
