The foolish and the wise according to the Buddha's point of view.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH. The wise and the foolish see life differently. A wise person who is not attached to the world is this body of the five aggregates, this body and mind. Fools , Monks, have these three characteristics, characteristics, and characteristics of fools. What is three? Here, bhikkhus, a fool thinks evil thoughts, speaks evil words, and performs evil deeds. Monks, if a fool does not think evil thoughts, speak evil words, do not engage in bad conduct, how can a wise person know that person: "This person is a fool, not a true person?" ? And since, bhikkhus, a fool thinks evil thoughts, speaks evil words, and conducts evil deeds, so the wise know him: "This person is a fool, not a true man." That fool, bhikkhus, feels right now three kinds of pain and grief. Monks, if a fool sits in the midst of the assembly, or sits on the side of a road with traffic passing by, or at a fork in a road, there (if) someone thinks of a suitable story about him. that. If a fool, bhikkhus, kills living beings, takes what is not given, engages in sexual misconduct, tells lies, is drunk with yeast and brewed wine, he often stays here, bhikkhus, that fool thinks. as follows: "Those people think of a suitable story about me, because those dharmas really exist in me and I have them." This, the Male-stilts, this is the first kind of suffering and pain, a fool feels right in the present. Again, this Male-stilts, a fool sees kings and kings, after catching a thief and committing a crime, immediately applies use various other penalties. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks, they cut off their hands, they cut off their legs, they cut off their limbs, they cut off their ears, they cut off their noses, they cut off their ears and cut off their noses; they used the punishment of cauldron, they used the punishment of perversion (cutting the top of the head into the shape of a scallop) they used the punishment of la hou mouth, fire torture (burning the hands with fire), congratulation (burning hands) ), the execution area (weaving straw and then tightening it), the costume (using the bark of a tree to make a shirt), the antelope (punishing the mountain goat), the torture sentence (taking a hook to hook the meat), the money penalty (cutting meat into the shape of coins), chyme blocks, transforming, Cao pedaling, they watered them with boiling oil, they fed the dogs, Here, bhikkhus, a fool thinks as follows: "Because of such evil deeds, kings, after arresting a thief and robber who committed a crime, immediately apply other wrong punishments. They beat them with whips. they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks, they cut off their hands, they cut off their feet, they cut off their hands and feet... they cut off their heads with swords. Those dharmas are real in me and I would have them. knowing about me, these kings, after arresting me, immediately applied many different punishments. They beat them with whips, they beat them with sticks, they beat them with sticks... they cut off their heads with swords." This, bhikkhus, is the second kind of suffering and pain, which a fool feels in the present moment. Where do paintings and blessings in human life come from? Again, bhikkhus, when a fool climbs up and sits on a chair, or on a bed, or lies on the ground, at that time his previous evil deeds, such as bad bodily actions, bad speech, and bad intentions. hanging, hanging, hanging, hanging over that person. For example, this Male-stilts, in the afternoon, the shadows of the mountain peaks hang lying, hanging pressure, hanging on the ground; Likewise, bhikkhus, when a fool is sitting on a chair, or sitting on a bed, or lying on the ground, while his past kamma, that is, evil bodily, verbal, and mental , hanging lying down, hanging pressure, hanging over him. Here, bhikkhus, a fool thinks thus: "Actually, I do not do good, do not do good, do not act against fear, do evil, do violence, do evil. By not doing good, not doing good, not doing what is against fear, by doing evil, by doing violence, by doing evil, we must go to evil; that evil beast after death we must go". He mourned, lamented, lamented, beat his chest, groaned, and fell into unconsciousness. This, bhikkhus, is the third suffering and pain, which even now, a fool feels. Monks, that fool, after performing an evil bodily action, an evil verbal action, an evil mental action, with the breakup of his body, after death, is reborn in an evil realm, in an evil destination, in the lower realms, in hell. Bhikkhus, if anyone speaks correctly of such a person, it should be said that he is completely unkind, completely unappealing, completely disagreeable. Just as we want to say correctly about Hell, it must be said that Hell is completely unkind, completely unlikable, and completely unlikable. In this regard, bhikkhus, it is not easy even to give an example, for so much is the suffering of Hell. When this was said, another bhikkhu said to the Blessed One: Venerable Sir, can you give me an example? The Blessed One replied: It is possible, bhikkhu. For example, this Male-stilts, someone caught a thief, brought him before the king and said: "My Lord, Great King, this is a thief who committed a crime for you! Punish it as the Great King wishes." . And that king said the following about the robber: "Gentlemen, go and in the morning stab this man with a hundred spears." And in the morning they stabbed him with a hundred spears. Then at noon the king said, "Gentlemen, how is he?" - "My Lord, it's still alive". Then the king said the following about the thief: "Gentlemen, go and at noon stab this man with a hundred spears." And at noon they stabbed him with a hundred spears. Then, in the evening, the king said, "Gentlemen, how is he?" - "My Lord, it's still alive". Then the king said the following about the other: "Gentlemen, go and in the evening stab this man with a hundred spears." And in the afternoon they stabbed him with a hundred spears. O monks, what do you think? He was stabbed with three hundred spears, because of that condition, did he experience pain and sorrow? World-Honored One, being stabbed by a spear only once, the other person also feels pain and sorrow because of that condition, let alone three hundred spears! Then the Blessed One picked up a small stone, the size of his hand, and said to the monks: What do you think, monks? What is bigger, this stone, the size of a hand picked up by me, or the Snow Mountain (Himalaya), the king of mountains? It is too small, Lord, this stone is as big as the hand picked up by the Blessed One. Compared with Tuyet Son, king of the mountains, it is insignificant, it is not equal to a thousandth of a thousand times (of the snow mountain), it cannot be compared! Likewise, bhikkhus, that person was stabbed by a Three hundred spears, because of that condition, feel pain and sorrow. That suffering and pain in comparison with the suffering and pain in Hell are insignificant, not equal to a thousandth of a thousand times, incomparable. Wise man , bhikkhus, there are these three characteristics, characteristics, and marks of the wise . What is three? Here, bhikkhus, a wise person thinks wholesome thoughts, speaks good speech, and performs wholesome deeds. Monks, if a wise man does not think good thoughts, speak good words, do not practice good deeds, then how can a wise man know him: "This is a wise man, a true man." ? And since, bhikkhus, a wise man thinks well, thinks well, speaks good words, and does good deeds, so the wise know him: 'This is a wise man, a true man'. That wise person, bhikkhus, feels right now three kinds of joy. Monks, if a wise person sits in the midst of an assembly, or sits on the side of a road with traffic passing by, or at a fork in a road, there (if) someone thinks of a suitable story about him. it; If the wise, bhikkhus, abstain from killing, abstaining from taking what is not given, abstaining from sexual misconduct, abstaining from lying, abstaining from drunkenness, leavening, and cooking wine, then here it is, monks. That wise person thinks thus: "Those people think of a suitable story about me, because those dhammas really exist in me, and I have them." This, bhikkhus, is the first kind of rapture, which the wise experience in the present moment. Again, bhikkhus, when a wise man sees kings and lords, after arresting thieves and robbers, they apply various other wrongful punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks... they cut off their heads with swords. Here, bhikkhus, the wise think thus: "Because of such evil deeds, kings, after arresting a thief and robber who committed a crime, immediately apply other wrong punishments. They strike with whips, they beat them with sticks... they cut off their heads with swords, these things really don't exist in me, and I don't have them." This, the Male-stilts, this is the second kind of joy and happiness, which the wise feel in the present.Again, the Male-stilts, when the wise climb up and sit on a chair, or on a bed, or lying on the ground, at then the good deeds he has done before, such as friendly actions, good speech, good mental actions, hang on him. For example, this Male-stilts, in the afternoon, the shadows of the mountain peaks hang lying, hanging pressure, hanging on the ground; Likewise, bhikkhus, when a wise person sits on a chair, or sits on a bed, or lies on the ground, while his past kammas are evil bodily actions, bad speech actions, evil mental actions hanging down, hanging pressure, hanging over him. Here, bhikkhus, a wise man thinks thus: 'Actually, I do not do evil, do not do violence, do not do evil, do good, do good, do what is anti-fear. By not doing evil, not doing violence, not doing evil, by doing good, doing good, doing what is anti-fear, can go to any (good) or (good) pleasure after that. When I die, I can go." He does not grieve, does not lament, does not lament, does not beat his chest, groans, and falls unconscious. This, bhikkhus, is the third pleasure, which is felt even in the present moment by the wise. Bhikkhus, a wise person, after performing a wholesome action, after performing a good verbal action, after doing a good mental act, after the breakup of the body, after death, is born in a good destination, in the heavenly world, in this world. Bhikkhus, if anyone speaks correctly of him, it should be said that he is perfectly fine, completely agreeable, completely agreeable. Just as to say correctly about the heavenly world, it must be said that the heavenly world is completely beautiful, completely likable, and completely pleasing. In this regard, bhikkhus, it is not easy even to give an example, because so much is the happiness of the heavenly world. In summary, with the wisdom of the Enlightened One, the Buddha clearly saw the danger and suffering of the evil way of life and the peaceful benefits of a life dedicated to doing good. That is why he advised people to do good, not to do evil, to strive to promote the meaning and beneficial values of human life, to establish a long, happy and peaceful life for themselves and for others.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.29/5/2021.
