Buddha's Enlightenment.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
There is no dharma that obstructs the Buddha, there is no dharma that the Buddha does not clearly see and know, so his disciples often call him the Dharma King. All of the Buddha's powers were born from His Wisdom, that is, from the content of realizing the Unsurpassed Perfection of Enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
All of the Buddha's powers were born from His Wisdom, that is, from the content of realizing the Unsurpassed Perfection of Enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Once, a wandering ascetic named Vacchagotta asked the Buddha, "World-Honored One, I have heard people say that the recluse Gotama is the omniscient, the one with the highest understanding, and he claims to have perfect knowledge. safety, when walking, when standing, when sleeping, when knowledge always exists and is continuous.
World-Honored One, are these things that people say true, do they slander the Blessed One? The Buddha replied that what they said was not true to what he said, slandering me. Thus the Buddha denied that he had a kind of Wisdom that is ever present and omniscient, both awake and asleep. Vacchagotta asked: How should I say it? The Buddha taught that if you want to speak correctly, you must say that the recluse Gotama is the one with the Three Intelligences.
When we want, we will remember many past lives, such as one life, two lives… to many past lives with outlines and details. Hey Vacchagotta, if we want to, with the pure divine eye, we can see the life and death of living beings, the lowly, the noble, the beautiful, the ugly, the lucky and the unlucky... all due to their karmic actions. . With the cessation of taints, Vacchagotta, in the present moment, with the supreme wisdom of enlightenment, one abides without taints of liberated mind, liberated wisdom. To say that is to say the right thing about me. (Vacchagotta's Three Wisdom Sutras).
Thus, the Tam Minh: Wisdom of the life, the wisdom of the Heavens, and the end of the mind are the content of Buddha's enlightenment. In particular, only the Buddha can fully possess the Three Intelligences, although on the path of cultivation, the Three Intelligences are always considered to be the final results of an enlightened practitioner. This may be one of the things that differentiates the Buddha and his disciples. The process of enlightenment starts from:
"Leaving away from the unwholesome dharma, attaining and dwelling in the first meditation, a state of bliss born of the separation of sensual pleasures, has the fourfold application. The cessation of application and the four attainments and the second meditation stay, one The state of joy and happiness due to concentration is born, no thoughts, no thoughts, inner peace of mind.. . Discharge happiness, discharge pain, kill joy and sadness that have been felt before, witness and stay in the fourth meditation, neither suffering nor pleasure, pure mindfulness discharge."
The Buddha and his noble disciples all went through the Four jhānas, on the basis of the fourth jhāna, the mind is calm and pliable, easy to use, the practitioner can direct the mind to the objects of the Six Supernatural powers or the Three Intelligences, realize enlightenment. ultimate. This is the first route. This route was promoted and became very popular. Most teachers are in this direction. The second path is from the fourth jhāna, passing through the base of boundless space, is overcoming the perception of form, the hindrance of perception. Directing the mind to space is boundless witness and dwelling in boundless space. Overcome continuing to witness and stay in the base of boundless consciousness. Overcome boundless consciousness and abide in the base of Nothingness. Overcome no-own-origin witness and stay in Phi Phi Phi Phi Perception. Overcoming the Phi Phi Phi Phi Phi perception origin, witnessing and staying in the cessation of life, thought concentration. From this samadhi, he realizes the Three Intelligences. This route the Buddha also passed. (Distinction of the Six Lands, the Parable of the Flying Bird).
In the Theravada Canon, there is no record of any saintly disciple claiming to have attained the Three Wisdoms. Usually, they are introduced to have attained Arahantship, experienced cessation of life, thought, and eradicated the contraband or (equivalent to the latent Gonorrhea). In the Six Purifications (Central Sutras), the Buddha taught about the process of a bhikkhu's cultivation, when he had attained the fourth jhāna, he said: "With a mind that is still, pure and unblemished, free from afflictions, pliable. So easy to use, so steady, so calm, I lead the mind, direct it to the Endless Knowledge I know as it really is: This is suffering, this is the cause of suffering, this is the cessation of suffering, this is the path leading to suffering Know as it really is: This is the taints, this is the Cause of the taints, this is the contraband or being eradicated, this is the way leading to the taints or to be eliminated.”
Thus, it is necessary for disciples to be free from the "sorry of desire, of being, and of ignorance" in order to attain "birth ended, holy life accomplished, what needed to be done has been done; there is no going back to this state. again." From this we can clearly see that the spiritual ability of the disciples is limited, and the problem of spiritual attainment is not related to the ability of supernatural powers, so we are not surprised to see that Mr. Muc Kien- Lien is said to be a disciple of God's number one disciple. The Buddha did not encourage his disciples to go into the supernatural powers such as Than Tuc, Thien Nhan, Tha Tam, Toc Life, and Thien Nhan; he focused and encouraged his disciples to turn their minds to Luu Minh to achieve the ultimate goal, liberation from birth and death. Supernatural abilities do not help a person who has not eliminated the defilements of the mind.
The process of Buddha's enlightenment is a series of breakthroughs, overcoming all challenges by experiment. All turbulent dharmas are transcended and attained to the abiding of the immovable. Especially in the states of the fourth jhāna a feeling of happiness (pleasure feeling) arose, even in the three wisdoms there was a feeling of happiness, but these feelings existed without dominating his mind (Saccaka Sutra ).
As for the supernatural powers, he has gradually attained the divine ability, the divine ability, and the other mind before he became a Buddha. On the night of his enlightenment, he witnessed the last 3 divine powers in the order of Tuc network communication, Thien eye clairvoyance and Thorough communication. Buddha taught: "When I have not yet attained Perfect Enlightenment, I have tried my best to practice the 5 dharmas: I have cultivated the Divine Consciousness with Desire and Concentration, which requires practice, Diligence, concentration, and action. If we need to practice and increase our efforts, depending on what dharma we turn our mind to, we can attain it” (Ang Chi II). There is no dharma that obstructs the Buddha, there is no dharma that the Buddha does not clearly see and know, so his disciples often call him the Dharma King.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.31/5/2021.
