The Life of Saint Sangha Ananda. Chapter VI Aanda with respect to the fraternity. -ooOoo- In the community of monks only Xa Loi Phat (Sàrìputta) is Aanda's best friend. As for Anuruddha (A Nau Lau Da), although he was his biological brother, the relationship between the two proved to be not very close. The reason was only because Anuruddha liked the solitude and tranquility, and Ananda was constantly in contact with people. On the other hand, Xa Loi Phat (Sàrìputta) is a great disciple who has the most like of the Buddha's teachings, so when talking with Abhidharma, Ananda felt like she was talking to the Buddha. In the sutras, it is clearly stated: Only Relativism and Amanda are two people who have been given two "positions" by the Buddha: relics of the Buddha, the "Great Tathagata of the Messenger", and Aanda, the " Great Tathagata Thinh Van ". (That is, one person deserves to describe the "Buddha's Will": The Tathagata of the Herald. And the other person deserves to repeat exactly as the Buddha teaches: Tathagata Sravaka). Another passage in the Tripitaka scriptures also states that Xa Loi Phat (Sàrìputta) is a very eloquent preacher, especially when he speaks like a roaring lion (Sihasutta). As for Aanda, a "Sutra of the Sutra", that is, "the seat of the Buddha's speech" is the most solid and intact. (It means that Ananda, listening to the Buddha's teachings, is capable of narrating the same thing, not adding or subtracting, even if only a word or a rhyme). At this point, we can compare Aanda with the Moggallana (Moggallàna). The famous miraculous disciple of this Buddha (Muc Lien Lien) also has a very simple, honest, popular and easy to understand sermon. Muc Lien Lien is the second great apostle (after Amanda) famous for the virtue of repeating the Buddha's language in a verbatim, no residual way. On the other hand, Abanda and Abhidharma were often assigned by the Buddha to perform some common tasks. For example, when the patron of Anàthapindika was seriously ill, they visited many times together (According to Majjhima Nikàyaa No. 153, and Samyutta NiKàya, 55-56). Or the two of them joined together in resolving the discord in the clergy of Kasambi. (According to Angut As far as the commentary is concerned, Abanana and Abhidharma have communicated closely with each other countless times. So, when Ananda heard that relics of the Buddha passed away, he immediately fell apart, expressing mourning as follows: "Suddenly the scene changes sad, Huynh goes" mind "the disciple no longer has expertise. tears of sorrow poured out, Losing brother is like a light is off " . Indeed, when Abhidharma passed away, Ananda had not yet attained Arahantship, so the sorrow and grief in his heart, as melancholy as a great storm blew out all intellectual light in the mind of the Buddha. this respectable assumption. It is also a lesson for Aanda afterward to understand the suffering caused by death, mercy (Two of the eight worldly laws). The Buddha saw Ananda extremely suffering, so he saved him by questioning as follows: - Hey, Aanda! Did the deceased renunciation bring with him a part of morality, part of the purity, part of wisdom, a part of holiness or a part of liberation? - Bach Duc The Ton! Are not! Then Ananda continued: -But the religion of Xa Loi Phat is a senior who protected and led the novice juniors to enter the Holy Way. The Buddha then immediately gave other consoling words, guides Abanda to a higher dignity. He asked: - Hey Aanda! can you remember a truth that the Tathagata taught that: Nothing is born and will be forever. However, the passing away of Xa Loi Phat towards the Buddhist ranks can be seen as a big branch that has left the tree trunk. Without the presence of Xa Loi Phat, the Sangha community was very disadvantaged. But not so that the disciple cling to the guidance and protection of others, even if he is a Tathagata, let alone say relativism! So Abanda let yourself light up the torch of wisdom for yourself, and should not depend on one self-effort (According to Samyutta Nikàya 7:13: Jhan 7:13). Listening to the Buddha's teachings like that, Aanda would only be patient, then diligently perform her duties. In addition to Xa Loi Phap, Ananda also often debated, close and live with a number of many other monks (The author only asks permission to repeat one or two symbolic cases): For example, one day, Bhikkhu Vangisa went to alms with Ananda. On the way, Vangisa suddenly felt depressed about celibacy, a most dangerous illness among the monks. His mind suddenly became full of sadness, and then demanded sensuality. Immediately he realized that the life of a monk was meaningless, but secularly marrying and creating a family home was much more attractive and happy. Bhikkhu Vangisa is a talented poet. Suddenly used a poem (in the Buddhist scriptures called Verses) to request Aanda to help him realize the will to be born. Ananda, understanding what was burning in the mind of his companion, then admonished him with the following gentle words: " Life is only beautiful when love cooks. Those who love life will not know how to grieve. Love in life is love on stage! After releasing the curtain ... what's the point of makeup? Hey, master, do not let your heart breeze, Just gather your thoughts and thoughts to know yourself! When the delusion of the spiritual life is useless, Pure mind is happy to see everywhere! "In the above verse, Aanda showed Vangisa:" Because you are being burned in your mind by lust, so Vangisa could not realize the truth of suffering (Suffering), especially suffering in the state of being seduced by female beauty. When the craving for love takes over the mind, people easily become disgruntled and frustrated. If the victim is a Taoist, it makes them hate the virtuous life. Therefore, Ananda advised Vangisa to calmly recall all the images in the world, like the beauty on the stage, even though her appearance was beautiful, worthy of cuddling, but the inner reality is ugly, hideous ... so that he understands that "this body, beautiful or bad, sick or healthy, disabled or intact, is the source of suffering in the world ". Any monk who considers this clear, will happily continue the virtuous life. ”Another case, after the Buddha entered Nirvana: Channa was once harassed by doubts (Vicikiccà). he knows that the body of the five aggregates is impermanent, but he still loves, and is afraid: "I believe in Nirvana to fall into the view!" or: "Is Nirvana a wonderful state?" or: "No-self is equivalent to a number?" For the life of all living things in this world only has meaning when it is in that life that there is something sacred and everlasting. If we practice to become a state of "disappearing" then that practice is based on the viewpoint. Thinking like that, Channa hurriedly turned to Abanda to ask for relief of the questions in her mind. Ananda immediately reminded Channa that: It was the Blessed One who taught: When such a question arises in a practitioner's mind, when his or her practice level is reaching a higher level, preparing. break through the last wall of the cycle of samsara. That wall is the Acceptance (to be) and the Acceptance (for not) ... Then Aban Da preached the full lecture about the Right and No of the Buddha has instructed, for Channa to hear. When just listening to the opening again, Channa suddenly felt relieved. he listened attentively to the full lecture with more and more joy. His passage praised the Buddha's teachings repeated by Ananda, as follows: - It is wonderful to hear the Dharma! It is fortunate for you to have an intelligent brother like the master. If the skepticism previously caused the disciple's mind to be confused, perplexed, almost to become incorruptible, now hearing the truth again, the disciple's soul is being enlightened, attaining the righteous path.
