Không gì là chắc thật Quán chiếu ngũ uẩn giai không được xem là pháp tu cốt tủy của đạo Phật. Bất cứ truyền thống hay pháp môn nào, nhân danh Chánh pháp của Thế Tôn đều gặp nhau ở tuệ giác vô thượng này.

Lộ trình thì có thể khởi đầu theo thứ bậc giới-định-tuệ, có thể song hành định-tuệ, có thể thuần quán (vipassana) và kết thúc nơi tuệ giác vạn pháp đều không-vô thường-vô ngã.

Minh sát là sống thường trực với tuệ giác vô thường, vô ngã...

“Một thời, Phật ở trú xứ A-tỳ-đà, bên bờ sông Hằng. Bấy giờ Đức Thế Tôn bảo các Tỳ-kheo:

 

Giống như nước lớn sông Hằng cuộn lên, bọt nước theo dòng chảy mà tụ lại. Nếu như người nào có mắt sáng quán sát, phân biệt thật kỹ, thì lúc quán sát, phân biệt thật kỹ đó, sẽ thấy rằng không có gì cả, không gì là bền chắc, không gì là chắc thật, không gì là kiên cố. Vì sao? Vì trong nhóm bọt nước nổi kia không có gì là chắc thật. Này các Tỳ-kheo, giống như người mắt sáng muốn tìm gỗ cứng chắc, nên cầm búa bén đi vào rừng núi. Thấy một cây chuối lớn,… Cũng vậy, những gì thuộc về hành,… không gì là chắc thật, không gì là kiên cố; chúng như bệnh, như ung nhọt, như gai nhọn, như sát hại; là vô thường, khổ, không, phi ngã. Này các Tỳ-kheo, giống như nhà ảo thuật,… Như vậy, này các Tỳ-kheo, những gì thuộc về thức,không gì là chắc thật, không gì là kiên cố; chúng như bệnh, như ung nhọt, như gai nhọn, như sát hại; là vô thường, khổ, không, phi ngã. Vì sao? Vì thức vốn không chắc thật.

 

Bấy giờ, các Tỳ-kheo sau khi nghe những điều Phật dạy, hoan hỷ phụng hành”.

While they were washing and scrubbing the goat, the goat laughed out loud, laughter roaring like the pot being smashed. Then, strangely, it burst into tears again.

The young disciples were surprised at this behavior, they asked the goat: "Why do you sometimes laugh," and "why are you crying now and crying out loud?"

"Let's go to see the teacher he, then he repeated the question, "the goat answered.

The disciples hurriedly took the goat to see him and told him what happened at the river. After listening to the story, the teacher asked the goat why sometimes it smiles, sometimes it cries.

The goat started to say, "Behold, Brahmin, in my previous life, I was a Brahman who taught Vedas just like you. I also killed a goat to make a death anniversary of the dead. Goat said to the Brahman: "You do not understand, your protection is weak, while the karma generated by evil deeds I do is very strong."

The Brahmin untied the goats and told his disciples, "Do not let anyone harm this goat." They obeyed and followed the goat to protect it.

After the goat was released, it started grazing. He tried to extend his neck, to nibble on the leaves on a bush, growing near the top of a large rock. At that moment, a bolt of lightning struck the rock, breaking a sharp stone like a knife, flying out, neatly slicing off the goat's head. The crowd gathered around the dead goat, and gossip about this amazing accident.

A tree god watched everything that happened, from the time he bought the goat, until the goat died, the story looked like a tragedy, and he took a lesson from the story. Behold, to remind and counsel the crowd: "Everyone knows that the consequence of doing evil, in the afterlife, will suffer, so we must stop killing the creature immediately. terror is waiting for those who do so. " 

After the tree spirit explained the cause-and-effect law, he made the listener feel shuddered in fear and pain for those who have fallen to hell. So frightened, everyone decided to give up killing the creature to commemorate the death. Then the tree spirit also taught people, learned more about the Precepts, and encouraged people to do good deeds.

Some time later, the tree god died. Because he had done many good deeds, the tree god enjoyed good results, so when he died, he followed his good karma, which means to return to the good realm. Then after many generations, people continued to practice the Precepts, and they spent a lot of time doing charity work and other good works, so many people were reborn into the realms. God.

Buddha finished his lecture, and then he let everyone know: "In that life, I was the tree god."

In the Ksitigarbha Sutta Bodhisattva's Prayer, The Seventh Virtue of the Noble Enlightenment, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Venerable Bodhisattva advised us,

"Beings in the Jambodhi realm, the death of their loved ones must be careful not to kill and not create bad karma, nor sacrifice the Devil, God, pray for ghosts. Why is that? Because of the killing up until that sacrifice, there is not a single thing to benefit the dead, only to add to his predestination make it even worse.

Suppose that dead person, either the previous or the present life, has witnessed that the Holy fruit will be born in heaven, the human realm, but because at the death of relatives, the causes of bad karma are created. for that dead person to get involved in the conflict, slow birth to a good place. What is the case that the other person died, when the money was never made a little blessing, all according to their evil karma caused to create that must fall into the evil path. What kind of familiar goods make that person's poorness worse! ”

Therefore, as people who study Buddhism and understand the Way, on the anniversary of our death, we should do a pure vegetarian chanting of reciting the Buddha's Names, releasing, releasing the Sutras, doing good deeds, ... to dedicate merit to them, help they soon gave birth to the Pure Land. Should reduce the forms of meat food drunk and absolutely not killing creatures. Do not make a grand party to repay the worldly meaning, there is no use for the lost. If you love them, you should remember one thing not to kill for death anniversary.

Có nên giết hại sinh vật để cúng giỗ người thân đã mất không?

Chúng ta có thể thấy luật nhân quả theo dõi chúng ta như bóng theo hình, và nghiệp báo của việc sát sinh là rất nặng nề. Chưa kể những ác nghiệp khác mà chúng ta đã và đang tạo tác, nghiệp chồng chất lên nghiệp, biết chừng nào mới trả cho xong.

Tổ chức cúng giỗ để tưởng nhớ ông bà tiên tổ, người thân đã khuất là một nét thuần phong mỹ tục trong truyền thống văn hóa tâm linh của dân tộc ta. Phong tục này không chỉ thể hiện đạo lí “uống nước nhớ nguồn” nhắc nhở con cháu nên biết ơn đối với các bậc sinh thành mà còn thể hiện tinh thần hiếu đạo sâu sắc, giáo dục lòng hiếu kính cha mẹ, ông bà tổ tiên cho các thế hệ mai sau.

Hiện nay, tình trạng chung tại các đám giỗ là hội họp họ hàng, người thân, bạn bè để tổ chức ăn thịt uống rượu linh đình và đặc biệt là sát sinh rất nhiều để phục vụ cho nhu cầu ăn uống ấy. Điều này nên hay chăng? Lời dạy của Đức Phật về việc này được thể hiện trong câu chuyện sau đây:

Một ngày nọ, khi Đức Phật ngụ tại tịnh xá Kỳ Viên, một số vị Tỳ Kheo hỏi Ngài:

- Thưa Đức Thế Tôn có lợi ích gì không khi giết dê, cừu, và những sinh vật khác để cúng giỗ người thân đã qua đời.

Đức Phật trả lời:

- Này các Tỳ Kheo! Không! Chắc chắn là không có gì tốt khi ta giết chết sinh vật, dù với mục đích làm lễ cúng giỗ người chết.

Rồi Đức Phật kể câu chuyện xảy ra trong quá khứ:

Vào thưở rất xa xưa, khi vua Brahmadatta trị vì ở xứ Baranasi, có một vị Bà La Môn quyết định làm lễ cúng giỗ người chết và mua một con dê để giết. Con dê bắt đầu kể, "Nầy ông Bà La Môn, trong tiền kiếp, tôi là một người Bà La Môn dạy kinh Vệ Đà giống như ông. Tôi cũng giết một con dê làm lễ cúng giỗ người chết. Chỉ vì giết chết một con dê, đầu tôi đã bị chặt đứt 499 lần. Tôi cười vì tôi biết đây là lần tái sinh cuối cùng để làm con vật bị người giết chết. Ngày hôm nay, tôi sẽ được giải thoát khỏi sự đau khổ. Nhưng tôi khóc vì tôi biết rằng, khi ông giết tôi, ông cũng cam chịu bị chặt đầu 500 lần. Vì thương cảm, tôi đã khóc dùm ông."

Vị Bà La Môn nói: "Dê ơi, nay ta hiểu rồi, ta sẽ không giết ngươi đâu."

Con dê kêu lên: "Ông Bà La Môn, dù ông giết hay tha, tôi cũng không thoát chết ngày hôm nay."

Vị Bà La Môn trấn an con dê: "Đừng lo, ta sẽ bảo vệ cho ngươi."

Dê nói với vị Bà La Môn: "Ông không hiểu đâu, sức bảo vệ của ông thì yếu, trong khi nghiệp lực sinh ra do những việc ác tôi làm thì rất mạnh."

Vị Bà La Môn tháo giây cột dê rồi nói với các đệ tử, "Không để bất cứ ai làm hại con dê nầy." Họ vâng lời rồi theo dõi con dê để bảo vệ nó.

Sau khi con dê được thả, nó bắt đầu đi gặm cỏ. Nó cố gắng nhoài cổ ra, để gặm những chiếc lá trên một bụi cây, mọc gần đỉnh một tảng đá lớn. Ngay lúc đó, một tia sét đánh vào tảng đá, làm vỡ một mảnh đá sắc nhọn như dao, bay ra, gọn gàng chặt đứt đầu dê. Đám đông đã tụ tập quanh con dê chết, và bàn tán sôi nổi về tai nạn kinh ngạc nầy.

Một vị thần cây đã quan sát tất cả mọi chuyện xẩy ra, từ lúc mua con dê về, cho đến khi con dê bị chết, câu chuyện xem y hệt như một vở bi kịch, rồi ông lấy ra một bài học từ câu chuyện nầy, để nhắc nhở và khuyên răn đám đông: "Mọi người đều biết rằng hậu quả của việc làm ác, là kiếp sau sẽ phải chịu khổ đau, cho nên chúng ta phải chấm dứt ngay việc giết chết sinh vật. Địa ngục khủng khiếp đang đón chờ những kẻ làm việc ác đức như thế." 

Sau khi vị thần cây giải thích về luật nhân quả, ông đã làm người nghe cảm thấy rùng mình kinh hãi, đớn đau cho những ai phải đọa xuống địa ngục. Vì quá hãi sợ, nên mọi người đã quyết định từ bỏ việc giết chết sinh vật để cúng giỗ người chết. Rồi vị thần cây còn dạy dỗ mọi người, học thêm về Giới Luật cùng khuyến khích mọi người làm những việc thiện lành.

Một thời gian sau, vị thần cây mất. Vì đã làm nhiều việc thiện, nên vị thần cây hưởng quả tốt lành, do đó khi ông mất, ông đi theo nghiệp tốt của ông nghĩa là về cõi tốt đẹp. Rồi qua nhiều thế hệ sau đó, mọi người vẫn tiếp tục thực hành Giới Luật, và họ đã dành nhiều thời giờ để làm việc từ thiện, cùng những việc làm lợi ích khác, thế nên, nhiều người đã được tái sinh vào cõi trời.

Đức Phật kết thúc bài giảng, rồi Ngài cho mọi người biết: "Trong kiếp đó, ta đã là vị thần cây"

Qua câu chuyện, chúng ta có thể thấy luật nhân quả theo dõi chúng ta như bóng theo hình, và nghiệp báo của việc sát sinh là rất nặng nề. Chưa kể những ác nghiệp khác mà chúng ta đã và đang tạo tác, nghiệp chồng chất lên nghiệp, biết chừng nào mới trả cho xong.

Trong Kinh Địa Tạng Bồ Tát Bổn Nguyện, Phẩm thứ bảy Khuyên Tu Thánh Đạo, đức Địa Tạng Bồ Tát khi thưa cùng Phật đã khuyên bảo chúng ta rằng:

“Những chúng sanh trong cõi Diêm Phù Đề, ngày lâm chung kẻ thân thuộc phải cẩn thận chớ có giết hại và chớ gây tạo nghiệp duyên chẳng lành, cũng đừng tế lễ Quỷ, Thần, cầu cúng ma quái. Vì sao thế? Vì việc giết hại cho đến tế lễ đó, không có một mảy mún chi lợi ích cho người chết cả, chỉ có kết thêm tội duyên của người đó làm cho càng thêm sâu nặng hơn thôi.

Giả sử người chết đó hoặc là đời trước hay đời hiện tại vừa rồi, đã chứng đặng phần Thánh quả sẽ sanh vào cõi Trời, cõi người, nhưng bị vì lúc lâm chung hàng thân thuộc gây tạo những nghiệp nhơn không lành, cũng làm cho người chết đó mắc lấy ương lụy phải đối biện, chậm sanh vào chốn lành. Huống gì là người kia chết, lúc sanh tiền chưa từng làm được chút phước lành, đều theo ác nghiệp của họ đã gây tạo mà tự phải bị sa đọa vào ác đạo. Hàng thân thuộc nỡ nào lại làm cho tội nghiệp của người ấy nặng thêm!”

Việc cúng giỗ có ảnh hưởng lớn đến vong linh của người đã khuất. Vào ngày này mà chúng ta lại làm tiệc linh đình, sát sinh hại mạng để thiết đãi sẽ tạo thêm tội cho vong linh ấy. Trong tội sát sinh, Kinh Phật có dạy: tự mình giết, vì mình mà con vật bị chết, thấy người ta giết mà mình vui mừng, đều có liên quan đến tội này. Chọn những ngày giỗ chạp mà sát sinh hại vật thì vong linh ấy cũng liên can chịu tội.

Người chết lúc sanh tiền thích sát sanh hại vật để ăn. Đây là vì tham ăn mà tạo nghiệp ác. Chính vì tội sát sanh mà họ đang chịu khổ nạn. Khi bị nạn rồi, họ đang tha thiết âm thầm cầu xin con cháu thương họ mà tìm cách cứu nạn cho họ bớt khổ. Người quá cố đã vụng tu, chưa hiểu đạo bị quả báo quá đau khổ, vì sát sanh hại vật nên họ chịu đủ mọi cực hình khủng khiếp trong tam đồ ác đạo để trả nghiệp, con cháu đã không tìm cách cứu nạn cho họ, những ngày giỗ sao nỡ lòng nào lại đem máu thịt dâng cúng lên để họ bị kết thêm tội sát sanh mới. 

Vì vậy, là người học Phật và hiểu Đạo, những ngày giỗ chạp chúng ta nên làm chay thanh tịnh tụng kinh Niệm Phật, phóng sinh, ấn tống Kinh sách, làm các việc thiện,… để hồi hướng công đức cho họ, giúp họ sớm siêu sanh Tịnh Độ. Nên giảm các hình thức ăn thịt uống rượu say sưa và tuyệt đối không sát hại sanh vật. Đừng làm tiệc linh đình để trả ơn nghĩa thế gian, không có ích gì cho người mất cả. Nếu có thương họ thì nên nhớ một điều chớ nên sát sinh để cúng giỗ.

Mặc dù Đức Thế Tôn đã nhập Niết Bàn cách đây hơn 2500 năm, nhưng những giáo lý tốt đẹp mà Ngài đã truyền trao cho chúng ta vẫn vẹn nguyên giá trị. Only know how to eat but do not know how to practice, then eat a lot, it is difficult to spend (karma) to; When a bad idea arises, if you haven't said it and haven't followed it, then you can repent in your heart, refusing to repeat it.

1. Cause and effect

If you only know how to eat and drink but do not know how to practice, then you will eat a lot, and it will be difficult to spend (karma).

Why do people reincarnate? Because lovelorn (seven things emotional or psychological state), the five desires are too heavy. When being Loved by Lovelorn and Five Lust, all day long people only chase money, beauty, fame, dignity, eating, enjoying and sleeping. Defilements also follow that birth, and then create all kinds of karma.

Do not assume that there is no reincarnation. Have! Very miserable!

In the past, Han Son and Thap Dac (incarnations of Bo-slap Van Thu and Pho Hien) saw people getting married, clapping their hands and laughing, saying:  'You see the groom marrying his grandmother. is not? Look, they eat you and their aunts! '

The others heard that and scolded them, saying,  'The Venerable is crazy! Bad talk!'

But when Mr. Han Son called the name of a pig, the pig ran to him immediately: confirmed that there is reincarnation already!

Those who like to be beautiful, wear high heels, then later (the retribution of that temperament set) he will naturally reincarnate as a horse, no need to wear shoes at all!

A person who keeps eating well will have a deep brain, want to sleep. Whenever you sleep too much, the latter (retribution) will make it a snake's body.

The buffalo, although working so hard, does not know how to escape suffering. Being a buffalo body is karma because previous lives as officials (public servants, state employees) are not pure and incorruptible (bribery), so this life must repay debt.

There was an official, and then he brought his money (earned from doing unjust work) to flee abroad. In the end, he had to pay the retribution and reincarnated as a buffalo in Taiwan.

'A life as an evil official,

Nine lives as debt debt.

The buffalo has two horns, and the tiger also has to abstain from fear. Gradually one day the buffalo will also understand. As buffalo plowing now, is also helping me.

When someone does something good, you agree and agree with him. But when you do not do well and you also agree, then your sin will multiply.

Know the white paper (you can write). Whenever a piece of paper is written in a classic script, do not throw it in the trash; should burn it. This is also a virtue.

Keep the words written on paper or on your shirt; Even if you have a small word, you must keep it. Embroidery letters on shirts should be cut and burned, do not throw them in the trash. Know how important the word is (the retribution) can read words. That is such a virtue!

Once upon a time, the ancient people taught Chinese respect, hospitality, ceremony, meaning, integrity and wholesale; thus producing many saints. Today, no one teaches such virtuous morals anymore, so the times are chaotic. Therefore, for those scriptures and treatises on that ancient morality, we must appreciate it.

Good things that you don't know how to use properly, properly (don't know how to preserve, maintain), and spoil it; then it's your fault. You have to suffer the consequences or retribution.

When handling, deciding to perform, or carrying out any task, you have to be very careful, because everything is causal. For example, the leftover food that you throw away or let it rot, you have to pay for it. Cause and effect are not wrong, and no one can bear your retribution:

The life and death of everyone is worried; Rice, whoever eats it is full!

There are good things, do not make it damaged. (Don't deliberately spoil; don't neglect, be careless, lack of sense of responsibility; or refuse to learn the right way to use or maintain it; don't neglect, scare, disrespect, don't value material arbitration.)

Buddha, Bodhisattva, Arhat, Heaven, People, A-Tu-La, Hell, Peta, Animal, are all from that person. Anyone who practices properly leads to a good birth; tu scandal, breaking the Five Precepts, then fell astray evil road.

2. Repentance

Difficult to be human; It is difficult to hear the Buddha Dharma. Now being human, must try to practice properly.

Those in heaven enjoy the merit, but when they start a bad idea, they will be lost. For us, if we have sinned, we only need to sincerely repent, and we will be pure as innocent people. The Human Realm is the best realm of spiritual practice: to hear the Buddha Dharma, to know how to cultivate.

When a bad idea arises, if you haven't said it and haven't followed it, then you can repent in your heart and refrain from rebirth.

Question: It is difficult to keep karma for purity, because the bad habit of infection, accumulated from beginningless life, now encounters bad conditions so naturally arises. When the bad thought arose, I immediately repented, did I have to suffer from bad retribution? 

A:  The notion of evil is just thought in the mind, if repentance immediately there is no bad retribution. If the bad idea has been manifested in the mouth (verbal action), or we have already practiced it (the karmic body), then there will be retribution. Every second we have to repent; Having the mind of repentance, a new good idea arises.

Tell the practitioner to see what their inborn quality is like before speaking.

For example, to someone who has an inborn quality, he says:  'If you have sinned, you can repent. Crime created by the mind, so be sincere and repent. '  So then the other person is guilty, but he can repent and then return to purity: no more recidivism, mindfulness of the right path.

For those who have no root, I say that is not okay. Because teaching them that way, they think that just being guilty creates sin, and the mind of repentance is finished right away! Therefore, they are forever unable to sincerely repair mistakes, even if they repent forever!

There are exceptions to the rule, not an offense. You must study carefully to avoid misunderstandings.

If you accidentally make a mistake, you can repent. Deliberately making the mistake of not being able to repent. Repenting a crime must not exceed three times (that is, not to be repeated more than three times).

As for karma, we are not afraid of the arising of evil thoughts: just fear that we are awakened and aware of it slowly. Therefore, as soon as initiating evil thoughts, they must immediately repent.

Once you have made a mistake, you must always admit:  'I made a mistake' ; that  'I ask for repentance' ; that  'Please teach me.'  Do not be born of afflictions, then all will fall to the Prime Minister, and there will be no evil notions arising.

The more one practices, the more he always feels that he needs to repent.

Big fish eat small fish. Humans are like big fish: eat anything, even tigers eat it; Therefore, the karma is deep and deep. If you are not clever in repenting your heart and bowing to the Buddha for many, then by the time Maitreya is born in this realm (that is, it takes a long time), you don't have any good root.
