Shakyamuni Buddha explained to Venerable  Xa Loi Phat  that: since 4 A-monks and 100 thousand people of the earth so far, there have been 28 Buddha's ancestors who have cultivated beings.

• 4 A-monk-period and 100,000 great-earth lives, in the same earthly life, there were 4 buddhas Taṇhaṅkara, Medhaṅkara, Saraṇaṅkara, and Dīpaṅkara born. In it, Dīpaṅkara (Naturally Post-Buddha ) was the first Buddha who signed up for monk Sumedha (the precursor of Shakyamuni Buddha) to become a Buddha in the future.
• 3 A-monk-period and 100 thousand great earths, there was a Buddha named Koṇḍañña (Kiều-Trần-Như).
• 2 A-monk-period and 100 thousand great earths, in the same earthly life, there were four Buddhas named Maṅgala (Man-Price-La), Sumana (Samaritan), Revata ( Ly-Brahmin), and Sobhita (Tô-Tỳ-Đa) was born.
• 1 A-monk-period and 100 thousand great earths, in the same life, three Buddhas named Anomadassī, Paduma, and Nārada were born.
• 100 thousand years ago, there was a Buddha named  Padumuttara  (Bach-Lien-Hoa) born.
• 30 thousand years ago, in the same life, there were 2 Buddhas named Sumedha (Thien Tue) and Sujāta (Thien Sanh) born.
• 1,800 years ago, in the same life, there were 3 Buddhas named Piyadassī (Hy Kien), Atthadassī (Advantage), and Dhammadassī (Dharma Knowledge).
• 94 years ago, there was a Buddha named Siddhattha (Tat Dat Da) born.
• 92 years ago, in the same earth, there were 2 Buddhas named Tissa and Phussa (Sa Sa).
• 91 years ago, there was a Buddha named Vipassī ( Buddhist monk Thi Thi ) born.
• 31 years ago, in the same earth, there were 2 Buddhas named Sikhī (Buddha of the Air) and Vessabhū (the Buddha of Lama).
• In life this earth, had 4 Buddha named Kakusandha ( Kakusandha Buddha ), Konagamana ( Koṇāgamana Buddha ), Kassapa ( Kassapa Buddha ), Gotama (the Buddha  Sakyamuni  that now Humanity is worshiping) was born. Also in this earthly life, many millions of years later will have the 5th Buddha born as Metteyya ( Maitreya Buddha ).
