Venerable Quang Khâm was born in the Qing Dynasty, the 18th year of Quang-Tự (1892). Mr. Hoang, the customary name is Van-Lai, a native of Phuc-Kien and China.

His family was so poor that his brother did not have enough money to marry. When he was four years old, because he could not support him, his parents had to bring him to be adopted for the Ly family in Tan-giang. Mr. and Mrs. Li are very good people, their whole lives are cultivated. They love Him like their own children.Ms. Li is a profound Buddha believer, a boy's whole life. She often took Him to the temple to pray because she was often sick, and her body was weak.

When he was nine years old, Ms. Li died; Two years later, his nanny also followed his heels, causing him to suddenly become an orphan. At that time, all relatives and relatives were busy, waiting to occupy the land and gardens and properties of the Ly family.That makes him, a child, feel deeply the bitter taste of the life and impermanence of everything. In his mind came the idea of ​​escaping from the ceiling: He brought all his land to his relatives and then went to Thua-Thien Temple alone in Phuc-Chau.

At that time, the staff of Thua-Thien Temple was Hoa-Thuong Chuyen-Tran, teaching him the rule and practice of Suffering and Happiness with Thay Thuy-Phuong. He is distributed for working, growing vegetables, weeding .... These are the probationary results for those who want to leave home.

By the age of 19, due to many special conditions, he passed through Nam-Duong. Here, because he had no education, he had to do manual labor. One day, he and his friends went to the mountain to cut firewood, He told you about his intuition intuition that the truck carrying firewood would turn on the mountain slope, but no one believed. Not long, the car was indeed turned over. This surprised his friend, saying: "Having such intuition, why do you not cultivate, develop spiritually, later on?" Hearing it, he suddenly came to his senses, and then returned to Trung. -Flower. Then he was 35 years old, after nearly 16 years living in South-Ocean.

Returning to Thua-Thien Pagoda, he officially went down to his hair, bowing to Hoa-Thuong Thuy Phuong as a Knight. His Dharma-name is Chieu-Kinh, Quang-Kham. After renunciation, he specializes in monks and nuns, eating the food no one wants to eat, doing things no one will do, usually sitting in Zen, reciting a Buddha's heart . There was a time when he was in charge of Huong-posted (burning incense, stripping Buddha's power) and waking them up every morning. Many times, he slept so badly that he was late for writing. This makes him extremely ashamed, deeply repentant in his heart, and from then on, he willsit and sleep .

In 1933, after six years of working as a novice monk, he then prayed for the monks and nuns in Hoa-Thuong Dieu-Nghia, Tu-Tho pagoda, Phu-Dien. Life has already passed, He immediately asked permission of the transfer staff Tran Tran-Tran; At that time, he was just 42 years old. Then, alone, with little clothes and more than 10 kilograms of rice, he aimed at the mountain of Thanh-Luong, Tuyen-Chau province, moving forward. There, in the middle of the mountainside, he found a large enough cave to calm himself down. This is the place where the tiger often comes; But when he met a tiger, he was not afraid. He told them the intention to use this cave to practice and advised them to look elsewhere.Strangely, the tiger seemed to understand what he meant, the words of the people. He was again because of the tiger and the Three-Law theory; Tiger heard and wagged his tail away. Not long after, the tiger brought the tigers back: any mother tiger, baby tiger ... toyed, close to Him like cattle. Therefore, Easter Tiger Hoa-Thuong .

Then,  Hoa-Thuong lived in the cave every day, meditating and reciting Buddha's name . Soon the food was empty, and he picked up the fruit to eat. In the mountains, there are monkeys and gibbons outside the tiger. They are strange, often so dynamic;they brought the fruit and the fruit and offered Him again!

The Venerable Master often entered samadhi. Once he entered the samadhi for a few months, did not eat or drink, did not move his body; Even the breath seems to be exhausted .Someone nearby saw that, mistakenly thinking that he had passed away, he should immediately report to Hoa-Thuong Chuyen-Tran to take care of the cremation. Fortunately, at that time, a high-ranking monk, Dai-Su, Hoang-Nhat, who was at a nearby temple, heard the news and went to the mountain with Hoa-Thuong Chuyen Tran. Arriving at the place, Dai-Su-Ho Hoang-Nhat knew that he was entering samadhi, knocking on three voices, awakening him from the state of Zen-samadhi. His News Entered to spread everywhere that everyone praised.

Last month as the name shot, penetrating Hoa-Thuong was on Thanh Luong mountain for 13 years. Then he, 54 years old (1945), returned to Thua Thien Pagoda. Two years later, in 1947, he left mainland China, took a boat to Taiwan. Here, begins His life of Dharma:

- 1948, he built a small temple in Taipei, named Quang-Minh Tu.

- 1951, built Quang-Chieu Tu.

By 1964, he had been in Taiwan for 17 years. During that time, He had ordained three times and each time longer than the whole month . Every day, He only ate a meal and ate only fruit;He did not eat anything cooking or frying. Therefore, believers call him the  High-ranking Fruit-Fruition  - The Master Eat Fruit.Unless it rains, usually  every night he sits in Zen meditation until morning in the garden or in the forest , not sleeping in the room like others. These are His special deeds.

When he was 80 years old, he once indicated to them that they knew the intention of "Dismissing" - His import - . At that time the disciples were extremely urgent, asking Him to continue to be compassionate. Then,  because of the beings'righteousness, they should postpone the Enlightenment and continue the birth. From then on, he went to Nam-Dau, Dai-trung, Gia-Nghia, Hoa-Lien, etc., praising them.

At the age of 84, he began detention, staying at the Thua-Thien pagoda on Thanh-Luong mountain no longer going to the mountain. The construction of the pagoda continued, but actively led by his disciples: restored Thua-Thien Pagoda, built Quang-Thua Nham (1974), Dieu-Thong Tu (1982).

At 94 years of age (1985), he presided over the Three Dynasties, ordained over 2,500 monks and nuns and lay people, forming the greatest solemn Dharma Assembly in Taiwan at that time.

At that time, although he was nearly a hundred years old, he still lived very simply and frugally; His words are simple, humble; His steps remained firm, without the use of walking sticks, not with the helpers. If anyone meets him then he will see that his body is extremely light and flexible; elegant movement. He still sleeps naturally, not lying; and still sitting outside the open-air garden every night. Then his fruit food must be crushed into a liquid to make it easier to eat.

In late 1985, he returned to Thua-Thien Pagoda. He is currently sick; deny everything food, medicine; also do not listen to believers.

On the Lunar New Year in that year, 1986, he summoned all the disciples at the temples and monasteries all over the place to bless and distribute the posterity. He instructed the cremation and division of spirituality at Thua-Thien Tu, Quang-Thua Nham, and DieuThong Tu, at the same time answering all questions of the faithful.

That morning, after taking a boy's life, he decided to go to Dieu-Thong Tu in Kaohsiung.

The next day, the second Lunar New Year, his vigor was extremely depressed.

On the third occasion, his physical strength recovered. He and the masses went on to recite Buddha's name. He talked freely with the disciples; extremely clear and optimistic spirit as if nothing happened.

On the morning of the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, he called all his disciples with him to go outside to receive the sun. He told a disciple, Master Truyen-Van, that: "You are okay; But they - mass - are not done yet! "

Year of the Lunar New Year (February 13, 1986), He sat and settled in peace, the spirit of peace, no disturbance; Then teach disciples to recite Buddha's name in unison.

At two o'clock that afternoon, he told them: " Infinite, an infinite one !" (Not coming, no work); then look at them-they nod, smiling. Not long after, the masses saw him sitting still and moving to the side to observe carefully, new or he had been calmly following the sound of reciting Buddha's name, passed away.

Looking back on his whole life, coming from a poverty-stricken but self-righteous, honest and simple nature; When he was ordained, he truly let go of all things, sincerely retreating, practicing all kinds of hardships and hardships .Because of such true humanity, the result is indescribable touch.After coming down the mountain, going to the Dharma of the Buddha Dharma , he followed up with so many beings, from people to animals, from yang to negative, from love to inadvertent ...
