Lesson 7 (cont.)
The fourth level: Patience and Compassion.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

A. Open Topic
Sutra Hoa Nghiem said: "Most mindfulness arises in the mind, spread all obstacles," (a mindful of anger arises, hundreds of thousands of doors of karma are opened). In fact, many people, for one minute, could not contain their anger, but beat their wives and children to the disabled, burned their ancestors' precious possessions, and then regret for life. Sometimes, because of not being able to control the hot temper, the love of humiliation must be separated, meaning that the couple must be separated, the best friend becomes a resentment ...
People who study the same way, if facing adversity can not endure, rotten frustration, sometimes must be tormented. As Mr. independent from the Sage, because a concept of anger can not be patient, it must take five magical powers. He was angry at the head because of anger, he had to fall to non-sperm (flying ferret). Should the book have said: "Most fire-fighting yard burns thousands of merits of chi son" (That is, a yard of fire, can burn all forest samples of merit).
So in order to effectively eradicate anger, we must practice the forbearance of the Paramitas.
B. Right Concise
I. Definitions
"Patience" is to endure, to endure scenes of contrary eyes. "Humiliation" is an insult, a shame, to hurt your pride.
Patience The Paramita is patience until the end of which no one can endure more than that.
II. Composition Of Patriarchal Perseverance
1. Body rings. For adversity such as rain, heat, hunger, sickness, or being beaten, tortured, brain-damaging in the body, we also do not complain or resist. This is physical suffering.
2. Stitching rings. The body has endured not against the person and the mouth has not uttered cruel curses, before the words of bitter humiliation, bad cursing or cruel beatings.
3. Italian rings. Patience both in the mind, not hatred, no resentment, no rebellion, dark thoughts for revenge.
Of these three rings, "mind-ring" is the hardest and most important. There are times when the body can tolerate torture, but the mouth still mutters curses. Once again, though his mouth did not utter any objection, curses, but he still implicitly protested, and furiously burned his heart and heart.
Until the "mind" did not covertly rebel protest, anger subsided to the bottom of the heart; In the face of any adversity, if the heart is still as calm as no, then patience is completely.
If the inside is still impatient, then somehow anger will appear in words and actions.
III. How Must Be Persistent To
Correct the Dharma?
1. Patience has accept generals. Patience for fear of power; Patience for being in an unfavorable situation; Patience to pray for the compliment, or the high position, high power; Patience because of contempt for the opponent, or for higher self, no need to accept, protest. Such patience is the patience of a general because he is still driven by desire, hatred, ignorance, and ignorance.
2. Patience does not accept generals. Practitioners of patience and patience, first and foremost, must be due to the desire to eradicate anger, arrogance, arrogance, pride, greed ... If someone curses at him, he must calmly think: "I have do anything wrong? If so, then we are insulted as a must, we should thank you. If I'm pure, then those insults don't have anything to do with me, but I have to think hard? ”
Moreover, the spiritual practitioner also aims for the purpose of cultivating compassion and rejection, we are forbidden not to resent, not to take revenge because we love people, we want to view people as our brothers and sisters. We are patient because we don't want life to be an arena, a war field, a furnace of anger, and burn everything.
Let us practice patience as Mr. Purna in the following story: “When Buddha was still alive, a disciple of Buddha, Mr. Purna asked Buddha to go through the missionary in the land of Chronaparanta, a country with a very evil reputation. . Buddha asked Mr. Purna:
He made a vow to bring our dharma to spread to that people, but if he did not listen, and even used evil words to scold him, what would he think?
White World Religion, I mean: They are good people, because they do not beat the tree with children, or throw stones with children.
Buddha continued:
If they hit him with a tree, or threw him with stones, what do he think?
White World Religion, I think: They still have compassion, because they did not kill or beat me to death.
Buddha asked again:
What if they killed or beat him to death?
The White World Religion, I think: They are my benefactors, because through them I can escape the body of suffering, abandonment, and farewell to this miserable life.
The Buddha praised:
Very good ! He was so patient that he could cross that land to preach!
Mr. Purna went to Chronaparanta to propagate not long ago, the people of that country were all prostrating to the Buddha Dharma.
Patience like Mr. Purna really is the Patience of Paramita, that is, the ring from the outside to the inside, the ring without seeing yourself being patient and the patience of the ring.
IV. The Merit of Dharma Patience and Compassion
As the prologue said, hatred of fire can burn all precious things, mankind has built in this world. The fire of anger can be extinguished only with water of Patience.
No patience, the family is separated, the friends are separated, the teacher breaks away, the people in conflict, the world of war.
With patience, the family reunites, friends and family members, faithful teachers, united people, and a peaceful world. Particularly for himself, without patience, the fire of fire burns his heart and lust for the royal family, his career dissipates, people are alienated, and the results are difficult to round.
There is patience, kindness, purity, rampant career, high esteem, respectable people, members.
Because of the great and precious merit of the Patience, the ancients had a strong message to the people as follows:
Rings, rings, unjust adversary's owner tries
How much, the most disaster natural disasters
Wearing and wearing, infinite fairies tried
Retiree retirement, the public can list any freedom
Mean:
Ring rings (body rings, mouth rings, mind rings)
then all the wrongdoing from this house is over.
Enduring fasting (body hold, mouth hold, mind hold), the infinite realms of heaven are also due to jute.
Only stop (body, mouth, mind are all) then the list of such no longer free.
C. Conclusion
We have no doubt the great and precious merit and merit of patience. Now we are only determined to practice this practice right away. Especially for Buddhists who have suffered from fire by anger many times, their family and career, hurry and practice this method of patience. Do not have to repent, regret and suffer again because of the fire of anger.
Practitioners even more urgent practice this method. There is nothing harmful to your spiritual career that makes people around him disdain, alienated by the anger and stubbornness of a monk. No matter how much they have mastered the scriptures, how much they practice, when they see their faces turn red, their voices shout, their gestures lose control, the people around them no longer believe in the practice. their actions as well, because of their eloquent accusation.
We thought there was no need to say more about the harms of anger; because surely those who have once been angry have seen it clearly.
To conclude this article, we sincerely wish that all of us, who practice this practice of patience effectively, will make the world more peaceful. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.21/1/2020.
