A few months after enlightenment, the Buddha taught this sermon to 1,000 monks according to the fire gods. Through his exalted teachings, the Buddha used the example of fire (fire of greed, hatred and delusion) to teach the mind of renunciation of feelings through the six senses. After hearing this sermon, the whole audience came to Arahanta.

1) One day the Exalted One stayed in Gaya, in Gaasias, with a thousand monks.

2) There, the Blessed One calls the rate-

- All, these bhikkhus, are ignited. And this, monks, is all that burns?

3) The eye, the bhikkhu, is caught fire. The colors are on fire. The consciousness is caught on fire. The label is on fire. Due to the charm of sensation should arise feelings, lost, suffering or any misery; that feeling caught fire. Caught by fire? Ignited by fire, greed, fire. We say that it is caught by birth, old age, death, sorrow, sadness, suffering, sorrow, pain.

4) The ear, the bhikkhus, is caught burning. The thieves caught fire. Ignorance caught fire. The nose is on fire. By the origin of the ear should start to feel what, lost, suffering or any miserable; that feeling caught fire. Caught by fire? Ignited by fire, greed, fire. We say that it is caught by birth, old age, death, sorrow, sadness, suffering, sorrow, pain.

9) Seeing this, bhikkhus, the bhikkhu-monks are blind to the eyes, the boring to the rúpa, the boring to the eye, the boring to the eye. Due to the charm of sensation, feeling, suffering, or any misery; he is bored with the feeling.

Boring for the ears, boring for the silent, boring for entrainment, boring for ear nose. The euphoria on the sensation of touch, feeling, suffering, or any miserable; he is bored with the feeling.

10) The religious theory. The rate of bhikkhus prays, the teachings of the Buddha taught.
