Introduction: This is the first Dharma lecture of the Buddha for the five brothers Kieu Tran As in Deer Park after his enlightenment. This Dhammapada summarizes the essential points of the Path of Liberation, namely, the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path.
-oOo-
At that time I heard something like this:
Once upon a time, when the Blessed One was in the Deer Park (1) of Isipatana (2), near Benares, he taught the following five monks:
"Bhikkhus, there are two extremes (anta) that the pabbajitena must avoid:
- Diligence in sensual pleasures (3) - is lowly, vulgar, profane, unworthy of sainthood, and vain.
- The intensity of attachment in asceticism (4) - suffering, unworthiness of the saints, and vain.
Leaving both extremes, the Tathāgata realized the path of the Majjhima Patipada, the path that brings about cakkhu and nana and leads to tranquility (vupasamaya). 6), sublime wisdom (abhinnāsa) (7), enlightenment (sambhodhaya) (6) and nirvana.
O Bhikkhus, the path that the Tathagata has realized, the way that brings sight and knowledge and brings tranquility, wisdom, enlightenment and nirvana?
It is the Noble Eightfold Path (samma ditthi), samma samkappa, samma vaca, samma kammanta, samma ajiva, , Right Effort (samma vayama), Right Mindfulness (samma sati), and Right Concentration (samma samadhi). Dear Bhikkhus, that is the path of the Middle Way that Tathagatas have realized.
(The Buddha talked further :)
This, O Bhikkhus, now, this is the Chon Ly Noble of Suffering (dukkha - Ariya - Sacca, suffering Holy Roman Emperor):
Birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering, death is suffering, living with the person you do not like is suffering, separation from loved ones is suffering, desire is not suffering, suffering (9).
Now this, O Bhikkhus, this is the Chon Ly Noble about the origin of suffering (dukkha-samudayadhammam-ariya-Sacca, collective suffering Holy Roman Emperor):
Love is the cause of rebirth (ponobhavika). Satisfied with the desire to aspire, cling to this or that (life). It is Ai, attached to the five senses (kamatanha), love, attachment to life (bhavatanha, birth, love in the idea that things are eternal), and love According to the idea of non-existence (vibhavatanha, innocence, attachment in the idea that after death is nothingness).
Now this, O Bhikkhus, this is the Chon Ly Thuong on the Cessation of Suffering Cao (dukkha-nirodhadhammam-ariya-Sacca, kill pain Holy Roman Emperor):
It is the total alienation and the ultimate eradication of that love. It is the renunciation, the renunciation, the escapism, and the separation from the craving.
Now this, O Bhikkhus, this is the Truth of the Path leading to the cessation of suffering (dukkha-nirodhadhammam-gamini-patipada-ariya-Sacca, director cessation of suffering Noble Truths):
It is the Noble Eightfold Path: Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Mindfulness.

(To conclude the Dharma, the Buddha, teach :)
Dear Bhikkhus, the absolute truth of the Tathagatas of the Four Noble Truths, in three shades and twelve modes, is not yet fully revealed, until then. Lai did not confirm before the world of the gods, Mara and Brahma, among the Chams, Brahmins, gods and humans, that the Tathagata realized the Supreme Self-Enlightenment (anuttaram samma sambodhim)
When, O Bhikkhus, Absolute knowledge as the truth of the Tathagata on the Four Noble Truths, under three shades and twelve methods has become completely clear, until then, the new Tathagata Confirmation before the world of the gods, Mara and Brahma, between the monks, Brahmins, Heaven and He that Tathagata has realized the Supreme Immaculate.
And then knowledge and insight arise to the Tathagata (nanadassana) - The mind of the Tathagata has been completely freed, not shaken, and this is the last life, no longer exist. Other (11). "
The Buddha lectured like that and the Bhikkhu were happy to praise the teachings of the Buddha.
When the Buddha finished the Dharma, the Dhammacakkhu (Kondanna) Dhammacakkhu (12) was no longer in the dust, and he saw that " what has happened is to be destroyed " (13).
When the Blessed One said, "The Dharma is wonderful!" There are no sa mans, Brahmins, gods, Mara or Brahma who can speak in the world. The Blessed One carried the Falun in Deer Park, the place of Isipatana near Benares. "
Listen to such gods in the four heavenly kingdoms, Tao, Da, The Exodus, Vedic, Emancipated Self, and gods in the realm of Brahma Purohita, Great Brahma, Thieu Optics, Infinite Optical, Optical Divine, Pure Heaven, Infinite Pure Land, Pure Land, Optical Heaven, Free Heaven, Infinite Heaven, and gods in Pure Perfect, The Pure, the Pure, the Great, and the Great, also cheers.
At that moment, in that moment, the acclamation to Brahma. The ten thousand worlds shake, shake and shake violently.
A brilliant light emanating, shining brighter world, more clear the aura of many gods. The Buddha said: "Kondanna fruit has realized, Kondanna fruit has realized."
Mr. Kondanna was named Annata Kondanna.

I heard this: a time in the Deer park, in Illinois, near Berezans. At that time, the Blessed One told the Bhikkhu delegation that:
There are two extremes that renouncers should not follow. What are the two? One is indulgent despicable despicable, despicable, ordinary, not useful, not high. Second is to plunge in ascetic, suffering, not high, not beneficial.
O bhikkhu, these two extremes are shunned. Such as Lai Central realization of enlightenment, the arising of understanding, understanding, leading to peace, victory, Nirvana.
O bhikkhus, how is the Middle Way by the Tibetan Awakened Enlightenment, arising, seeing, understanding, leading to peace, victory, Nirvana? O bhikkhus, this Sutra is the Middle Way of the Tathāgagana realization, the arising of seeing, understanding, leading to peace, victory, Nirvana.
This is the sacred of suffering: birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering, death is suffering, sadness is suffering suffering is pain, resentment is suffering, love is separation is suffering, The desire is not suffering; In short, the five aggregates are suffering.
Hey monks. This is the noble cause of suffering: it is the craving that leads to rebirth, by loving compassion and joy, seeking pleasure in this place; ie love, compassion, non-loving.
O bhikkhus, this is the Holy Truth of the cessation of suffering: it is the separation of complete destruction, discharge, liberation, not attachment to craving.
The monks, this is the noble way to lead to the cessation of suffering: the main path of the eight branches, ie: Right understanding, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness , Right Concentration.
O bhikkhus, this is the noble truth of suffering, which is the thing that has never before been heard in the place where I am born, born, born, born, born.
O bhikkhus, this is the Noble Truth of Suffering which must be understood, which is the thing that has never before been heard in the place where I am born, born, born, born, born.

O bhikkhus, this is the noble way of leading to the cessation of suffering that has been practiced, which is the thing for previous dharmas, where I am born, born, born, born, born.
O bhikkhus, until the true knowledge of the Four Noble Truths with the three transmissions, the twelve general figures as above are not entirely clear in me, then, I do not self-recognition Supreme Supreme Court Chief Justice in the world with the gods, Mara, Brahma, the masses Sa, Brahman, Heaven and Man.
O bhikkhus, when the true knowledge of the Four Noble Truths with three transitions and the twelve generalities is completely clear in Me, then I realize that I have attained the Supreme Enlightenment in the world. The gods, Mara, Brahma, the masses Sa, Brahman, Heaven and Man. Then, knowledge arises in me: "Immovable is my liberation mind, this is the last birth, I am not reborn anymore."
The monk lectured so, the monks in Bhikkhu celebrate the Buddha's teachings.
