The meaning of pure speech. Purification of speech means pure speech karma. The word pure means clean and safe. The mouth is just an organ or a tool to emit words. In the Buddhist scriptures often teach, Buddhists must always keep in place in the three karma: body, speech, and mind. In these three karma, in addition to active intention, speech is also very important. Right to say, keep in the language karma. That is the habit of words. There are four ways to say the word: lie, say no, say no, say no. Speak elaborate embroidery. Two-way tongue speaking, come here to talk, come here and there, talk here, causing a conflict between the two sides. Speak cruel words, curse and scold. If we say it according to Sino-Vietnamese: speech, speech, dual damage and evil speech. These are the four sinful ways of the mouth, which should be called speech karma. However, if we use words of kindness, sincerity, gentleness, love, solidarity, building, etc., then we know how to purify our speech karma. That is, we skillfully know how to use speech with a sense of limited karma direction. That is also the meaning of pure speech. We should say, but only say what is necessary and must be said in gentle, kind words. We should say, but only say what is necessary and must be said in gentle, kind words. How to overcome karma? We only say things when it is necessary to say. Speak in a spirit of understanding, understanding and enlightening mindfulness. Those words, of course, will bring us practical benefits for ourselves and for others. In that sense, pure speech does not mean total silence. According to the Zen master Nhat Hanh, “The silence of speech is a very profound practice, not a forbidden talk. Pure speech does not mean not only speaking. It means contemplating with our mindfulness what we intend to say. However, in the retreats, if the Buddhist is a practitioner, realizing that he has no duty, he should also take the vow to keep his mind pure, but to recite the Buddha's name, according to me. That is also a very good thing. But that is not quite the true meaning of the silence as mentioned above. This purification, depending on each situation that the Buddha sometimes praised, but sometimes the Buddha rebuked among his disciples. Praise is that when the Buddha saw in them, they knew how to exchange knowledge about cultivation in loving language, peace, solidarity. Rebuke, is the case where there are completely silent people, even though they know their wrongdoings, do not raise them to discuss. Just cling to the silence without saying a word. That is the attitude that is completely not in the spirit of the chanting Buddha's teaching. Purification of speech means pure speech karma. Purification of speech means pure speech karma. The Buddha's teaching of karmic retribution created the verbal karma to curse the monks Still know it's a good thing to keep quiet. But it also depends on the case. Instead of not speaking in words, showing signs by speaking at hand such as gesturing or writing paper, etc., it is also a way of speaking, only with different words and actions. So, it is better to say, but only to say what is necessary worth saying and to say in gentle, kind language. That is the best way of chanting and also according to the Buddha's teaching. Those with senile disease who talk a lot, during retreats, it is a good environment for us to practice quiet speech. With such a pure speech, can our body and mind be peaceful and our practice can really improve.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.3/3/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
