HOW IS Dhamma.
It is very important to have correct understanding before we practice according to the Buddha Dharma; otherwise, we will be wasting our practice in vain, for not getting the desired results. Therefore, I would like to simply present to fellow practitioners the essence of the Buddha Dharma.
Chinese history tells us that about 3,000 years ago, the founder of Buddhism was Buddha Shakyamuni. He was born in North India in the 24th year of Chu Chieu Vuong (Tiger Tiger), entered Nirvana in the 53rd Chu Chu Vuong year (Nham Than). He remained for 79 years and spent 49 years teaching sermons to them. After the Buddha entered Nirvana about 1,000 years, in AD 67 (10th Vinh Binh), Buddhism was officially introduced into China.
To have a comprehensive understanding of Buddhism, we first need to know: What is 'Buddha'? What is 'Dharma'? What is 'Dharma'? What is 'Buddhism'? These issues are very important for those who practice Dharma.
'Buddha' is Sanskrit (Sanskrit), meaning 'wisdom, enlightenment'. Why now do not use the two words "mind, feeling" to transcribe, but use the word Buddha-da? Because the meaning of the word Buddha-da (Buddha) is extremely deep in color. The vocabulary of the two words 'mind, feeling' in Chinese does not cover all the above meanings, so it is necessary to use phonetic language with broader explanations.
In terms of BODY, Buddha means wisdom; In terms of USE, Buddha means enlightenment. Explained in terms of NATURE, wisdom has 3 types:
1. Nhat Thiet Tri: Using a modern philosophical term to explain, that is the thorough understanding of the essence of the universe, is the wisdom that realizes all existence in the realm of the world. That is the wisdom of Thanh Van.
2. Genocide: Race is only for the infinite number of phenomena in the universe. Because where do these phenomena arise, from where do they come from, and how does the process arise? How to end? Know this well known as Daoist knowledge, is the wisdom of the Bodhisattva line.
3. Necessity of Race: Understanding all the truths of all human universes without any delusion. That is the wisdom of the Buddhas.
Shakyamuni Buddha has all of these 3 wisdoms, completely grasping the reality of human life and the universe.
The effect of wisdom is great enlightenment. In the sutras, the Buddha told us that there are three types of enlightenment:
1. Self-Awareness: being enlightened by oneself, no longer deluded delusions from body, mouth and mind. The Arahants and Buddhas of the Theravada Buddhist tradition all attained this level of self-awareness, but did not generate Bodhicitta to enlighten all sentient beings.
2. Enlightenment: is when we are enlightened, it helps everyone to be enlightened like me. The Mahayana Bodhisattva has attained this level of enlightenment.
3. Salvation of the Wing: when having attained the full two levels of enlightenment above, he has enlightened himself and helped all sentient beings to be enlightened. That is the enlightened power of the Buddhas.
The Buddha taught that this fully enlightened wisdom form all sentient beings are self-sufficient. Kinh Vien Giac [1] says that "All sentient beings have become Buddhas for a long time." [2] and Sutras Sutras [3] say: "All sentient beings have the wisdom of Tathagata available. ”[4] In other words, by nature, all sentient beings are equal to the Buddhas, without any difference. However, because we have so many delusions and attachments, which are the root of all suffering, we temporarily forget Buddha nature, and are forever lost in samsara.
The more we get rid of attached delusions, the quicker we will be free of suffering, and the sooner the manifestation of enlightened wisdom will manifest. Once we are completely free from attachment delusion, we will realize Buddhahood, we will have the perfect enlightened wisdom that we have missed.
Once we have this fully enlightened wisdom, we truly realize an infinite whole and all things in the universe. The word 'ten thousand' in 'all things' cannot be expressed in words and numbers, but can only be conceived as many poles, which is infinite of infinite quantity.
In the sutras, the Buddha often teaches that it is as small as a pore on the body, or as small as the hair of a hair (only for the righteous report), or as small as a mundane particle (only for medicine); to as large as the void of the Dharma realm, all are objects from our enlightened mind. The Buddha used the term 'Dhamma' [5] to refer to all these things. The word 'Dharma' [6] is for the enlightened wisdom to know all the infinite multitudes of all beings living in the universe. The Chinese people often say 'the Buddha Dharma is boundless', because the wisdom to realize these phenomena is unequivocal [7], and the phenomena in the perceived universe are also unlimited [8 ]. This infinite wisdom is the power that exists in the nature of each of us.
The Buddha taught that 'The intellectual energy inherent in your nature and the phenomena of the universe that you perceive is one , not two .' When we deeply contemplate this matter, if we find that the Buddha's teachings are completely correct, we can be confident that enlightened wisdom is the perfect end. But if the capacity to perceive (intellect) and perceived object (perception) are opposites, the enlightened wisdom will be limited, it is difficult to be fully saved.
The Buddha taught that our 'intellectual ability' and 'knowledge', 'awareness' and 'perception' are one, not two. This is called Nhat Chan Dharma Realm, the ultimate realm of truth, perfection, and supremacy of the Sutra Pitaka. The Western Absolute Bliss realm of the Pure Land also belongs to and is inseparable from this One Truth Realm. This Western Realm of Bliss was created by Amitabha Buddha according to his aspiration, which is the ideal place for practitioners to take the vow of rebirth in order not to have samsara in the six evil ways.
In the First National People's Year (1923), a famous Buddhist scholar named Au Duong Canh Vo (Jing Wu Ou-Yang) gave a lecture on the topic "Dharma is not religion, is not philosophy, but the indispensable need of the times ”at Zhongshan IV University (now Nanjing Teachers University), has shocked all sexes in contemporary China. His convincing speech has contributed to determining the meaning and correct view of the Buddha Dharma.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.25/3/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
