  • What is wrong view? If you fight, that is the wrong view. If you are greedy, it is wrong view. If you wish, it is wrong view. If you are selfish, it is wrong view. If you are self-interested, that is wrong view. If you lie, that is wrong view.

 

  • If you have studied and practiced Dharma for decades but are still greedy for money! Still looking forward to fame and gain !. Still greedy, paintings don't stop. That is because you do not understand how to study and practice the Dharma. If you understand how to learn Buddha, you will not want these things anymore.

 

  • When cultivating the Tao, you must rely on not competing, not greeding, not seeking, not being selfish, not being self-interested, and not lying. Only then will you have the right understanding and the right view (right understanding) and can cultivate the Way. If you do not practice these  Six Great Principles  and you want to say that you are a practitioner, it is impossible.

 

  • If a person has a mind of greed, a greed, a mind, a gain, self-promotion, or wants people to worship their own personality, if you are self-interested or self-interested, not telling the truth, you should know that the person That is the realm of evil.

  • How to get rid of defilements? The method is extremely simple - just be free of pictures, no greed, no expectations, no selfishness, no self-interest, and no lies. If you can do that, then all the escape is ceased and the defilements are surrendered.

  • You wish for happiness outside, seek happiness from morning till night. If it is achieved, it is only temporary happiness. And if you do not achieve it is born of disturbing mind. You insatiable greed, just want to have happiness, get it, then you are afraid of losing it. This is not true happiness. True happiness is not wishing. There is a saying that 'unconvinced originality', meaning that when one reaches an unwanted place, there is no worry. If you no longer wish, that is true happiness. That is the true peace of your nature.

 

 

Unselfish

 

  • Basically there is only one rule, that is not selfish. If people are selfish, they will transgress. If they are not selfish, they will not transgress. Also, if they are selfish, they will be organized. If not selfish, then they will not be organized.

     

  • The main mind is not selfish. If you are selfish, you don't have the right mind.

 

  • Why do we not recognize our entries? It is because we cannot abandon the self, not the selfishness. If we are no longer selfish or selfish, we will receive the identity of our item.

 

  • Secular people are always up and down. They are always selfish as motivation. They want to protect their life and property. Dharma is great and carefree, the goal is to benefit people.

No benefit

If we often benefit people, then over time we will create merit. If we always want others to benefit us, but we do not benefit others; If we always find ways to gain comfort and depend on others, we are completely useless.

 

  • If we benefit people and make them happy, wherever we go, people will follow us.

 

  • When students begin to learn to be human, we teach them not to pay attention to the benefits, not to see money as important. The ancients studied to learn morality (rationality). Today people learn for fame and fortune. They want to be famous and have great benefits. Why? Because school teaches students improperly. So the world gets worse every day, every day gets worse.

 

  • Ordinary people think the benefit for him is a Bodhisattva. Ordinary people think the benefit for themselves is that the  Bodhisattva devil only knows others but not himself. Whereas the devil only knows himself but not others. These two components are completely opposite .

 

Do not lie

 

  • Unless you say so. If speaking, always speak honestly. Never say anything to fool people. In any case, we honestly tell the truth, and always keep our mouths, not lying.

 

  • I do not lie. Wherever I am, I try to be honest. I speak and act frankly, and I do not use any tricks in  treating people,  everything (dealing in material). If there was something I wanted to say, I would say it no matter where. I am not afraid to offend people. If there's something I don't want to say, I won't say it no matter where. I absolutely do not lie or cheat people.

 

  • People should be honest more often. Even when beaten or scolded, we still tell the truth. Do not be afraid. I tell you, I am a righteous person. I am the one who upholds an upright life without stooping back. If people want to punish me, go ahead and do it; no problem. If you punish me for telling the truth, I still think it's worth it, and I won't resent it. I don't expect people to believe anything I say. Even if they didn't believe me, I still tried my best.

 

  • Why do some people use the exercises without progressing in spiritual practice? Because they lie too much. When saying a lie, hundreds of delusions arise.

 

  • If you lie, then whatever you chant will not work. Or recite any Sutta, there will be no inspiration. If you want to chant or chant scriptures that have been touched or accomplished, you cannot lie. Be honest, say true, need to say truth, not embroidering.

 

            

 

We should broaden our horizons and have a liberal mindset. We should not only know ourselves, or only know our family, or only know our country. We must expand the mind to the extent of nothingness that covers the Dharma Realm. Need to think for the whole of humanity, not just calculate for yourself. Bringing benefits to humanity, not harming humanity: This is the basic condition for practicing Buddhism.

How can we benefit mankind and not harm mankind? We must practice the Six Great Principles of the Ten Thousand Buddhas:

When we practice spiritually, we must uphold our principles, not be forgotten. When studying Buddhism, we must also keep these principles in mind because they are our purpose. Once we have clearly realized our goals, we must move forward vigorously and diligently, not withdrawing. Referring to this issue, I recall when I was ordained as a monk, I thought: "Monks are many but do you all understand Buddhism?" Do all have a purpose? ”. Later, when I investigated this issue, I discovered that a large number of monks and nuns have no ambition to practice nor end samsara. In fact, they have almost no clear goals. They all make it through, "eat and wait to die". This type of renunciation does not help but on the contrary causes more debt, causes more trouble, and create more burden on Buddhism. They are of no use to Buddhism.

I further discovered that Buddhists in China were not aware of what Buddhism was. The Buddha preached Dharma Sutras, all so that the next life can understand the Buddha Dharma. So how do Buddha's disciples spread his teachings? If I think about it more closely, I realize that Buddhism is not really rooted in China. Buddhism in China does not really have a foundation, so it cannot stand up to the test and oppression from the outside. Why is there no basis? Because not aware of this platform. So what is the basis of Buddhism? The foundation of Buddhism is education. Education must start from children, must teach them knowledge of Buddhism, about the wisdom of Buddhism, and the thought of Buddhism. At least children are brought up and taught to be good and ethical citizens of the nation and the world. With a solid foundation in his thinking and goals, this person will be able to spread Buddhism extensively. Thus, the basic teachings of Buddhism will not be forgotten.

People are not preaching people. So how do we become religious? Only when we have a clear goal, an ideal for us to wholeheartedly realize. As for the Buddhism that has lost its roots in China, it has neither a root nor a body, but merely rotates rhyme at the top of branches. Buddhism in China includes prayers for the dead. This is the state of Chinese Buddhism. They all did not anticipate that if this situation continued, they would create a ranks of nomadic wanderers who became Buddhists for a living. Unfortunately. They only know how to make money by performing prayers for the spirits. When performing these ceremonies if you are a virtuous monk, there is no need to recite sutras or mantras. You just need to say to this spirit: "Go reincarnate" then immediately this spirit will return to the Land of Ultimate Bliss. However, if you do not have virtue and do not focus on your virtue, what is the capacity for you to free sentient beings? In fact, you are already in debt to the benefactor. Moreover, the practices established by the Buddha are no longer valued

For example, Chinese Buddhism has no one to follow the tradition of raising the precepts in everyday life. Why do not they cover the medical? Well, if you ask them, they don't know why. In fact, monks and nuns have to dress and wear one meal a day. But they have forgotten all this. The idea was that they were 108,000 miles away from their memory, so they no longer knew the meaning of wearing a maternity dress and eating one meal a day. In Chinese Buddhist circles, no one understands this. There may be one or two people who wear robes and eat once a day, but probably not have so many in the tens of thousands. It can be said that they are even rarer than the phoenix feathers and unicorn horns. It is very rare. If you ask them what a monk should look like, they are very blind. Today in China and other countries, Most of the renunciations in the Northern tradition do not cover the medical world. Well, they feel this is a very natural thing, obviously. Did they know that when they did not cover the monks, they would no longer show the bhikkhu.

They said, "Ah! Theravada  Buddhism (Mahayana) is about the Bodhisattva, even though the Bodhisattva does not cover the medical world, they are still that Bodhisattva. ” Well, as a Bodhisattva, they still have to wear robes, because they have to be especially solemn. You see that Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Great Bodhisattva Bodhisattva all carry precious jewels. Though only a prime minister, these jewels lure another thing. These jewels are all manifestations, these adornments signify the solemn realms of Buddha. Therefore, austerities need to follow the rules. Don't walk your heels or make crazy gestures. You say, "But why is the Venerable Te Cong crazy?" The High Priest was mad because he wanted to call people to give alms to crazy people. Also because He wants to educate the laypeople should not despise the insane, nor should they despise them.

Why are monks and nuns following Mahayana Buddhism everywhere not wearing robes? That is because when Buddhism spread to the North, because the North climate was too cold, it was not warm enough to cover one medicine. The renunciant could not bear the cold so they had to wear a few more layers of robes underneath this robes. These layers of clothing underneath can help avoid the cold, but when covered, it is easy for him to slip down. When Buddhism first spread to China, perhaps the monks were not very skillful. They may be a bit clumsy so their robes occasionally drop off. Once he lost his medicine because he did not have the money to build a new medicine, they had to go to predestined places to scare the house members. After a while, the monks came to a meeting and decided as follows: "It is incomplete because our robes are often lost and it is very difficult to get a new one. The Chinese live very frugally, tailoring a new clothes for us is not really cheap. It would be troublesome if we lost him. ” At that time, a seemingly foolish Patriarch thought of a solution. He said, "I have an idea. We can sew on a shirt with a clip and a loop and hook them together so that he won't slip out. But in China, after these reforms, people began to withdraw and not build any more medicine. Because at that time, the monks and nuns had to take up farming work to sustain their life. When they went out to work, they had to take off their robes because it was not very convenient, so they wore only the inner layer. The medical community is set aside while they work. But after a while they no longer wear clothes even when they do not work outdoors. Some people still wear robes when they go to the main hall or during a boy's life. But in today's daily customs, renunciants no longer wear robes when they go to the main hall or during the life of a boy. However, they still consider themselves worthy of being monks and nuns. Actually today in countries such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and all areas where Theravada Buddhism is practiced, monks and nuns only wear a long dress and they consider it to be monk's clothes. This is a big mistake. If the renunciants do not wear robes, it is the same as they have done. They are also no different than the home people. Just wearing a long dress with a round neck does not mean a renunciate. And even if you wear the robes, you still transgress the world every day and are not honest. let alone when you are not wearing a robe!

So in fact Buddhism does not exist in China as well as in places where "Buddhism" from China has been transmitted. It is no longer the original category of Buddhism. When I reflect on this situation, I want to make a reform to rectify this trend in China, but I know that I am just an ordinary person whose words have no influence. I have no position and no one listens to what I say. No matter how much I screamed at the neck, no one believed. Therefore I vow to rebuild Buddhism in the West and make Buddhism flourishing again so that the public can understand what Buddhism is. So as soon as I arrived in the United States, I advocated wearing robes and eating once a day. Because Americans always seek comfort, they don't like it when they are told to wear clothes. However, In the United States, there are a few monastics who do not wear gender, so I can recommend the practice of monastic wear. I also recommend eating once a day, because even before I left home, I ate once a day at home, and throughout the years after renunciation, I still eat once a day. Because I don't have the virtue nor any other spiritual accomplishments, I can only teach my followers to imitate my external manifestations.

Those who follow me ordained, whether male or female, must eat one meal a day. I only accept them if they can eat once a day. This is the iron and steel condition (must be obeyed) for those who leave home with me. Certainly can not be changed. Regardless of the time, whatever the pressure, in any case, this will not change. This is because I have advocated this Buddhist style of wearing robes and eating once a day for decades. I initiated this when I first arrived in the United States and I am still cheering on this to this day. As the years passed, people gradually became familiar with this and I believed that they would be willing to accept this with all their hearts. Everyone will understand the method I use to educate sentient beings.
