Buddhism with the Five Holy Worlds .VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

The Five Holy Worlds of Buddhism are also known as the Five Precepts or the Five Precepts. At first heard people (basic) came to Buddhism through the concept of the two words of the Holy World seems "sublime" difficult to reach so easily discouraged. But in fact this is the Five things Buddha taught is very close to life and also easy to do.

According to the Buddhist scriptures, the five precepts are: No killing, no stealing, no adultery, no lying, no drinking. Illustration

According to the Buddhist scriptures, the five precepts are: No killing, no stealing, no adultery, no lying, no drinking.

If anyone cares and tries to practice, these 5 things become the Five Holy Worlds. Because according to the teaching masters, after all even the monastic precepts prevent up to hundreds of things, but also do not run outside this Holy World.

So what are these five precepts? According to the Buddhist scriptures, the five precepts are: No killing, no stealing, no adultery, no lying, no drinking. Talking about the practice and practical benefits of this holy year, the writer would mention in the following section; Let us now take a look at today's social reality a little bit before discussing the effectiveness of these five precepts.

As we all know, we are living in the period of global socio-economic integration, in which the market economy always affects many aspects of social life causing very pressing issues. According to the legend of the Buddha, this is the period (Mahayana Dharma), a period that caused many injuries to human society (in general, because we have violated these five precepts). So many pitiful stories, because people lack the self-restraint, or more correctly call it the Buddhist way of saying, we cannot overcome the "anger" before the reality of life. to "delusion" to create so many bad karma.

Let us (preliminary) people come to Buddhism to learn together these five Holy Worlds first and then experience the practice of seeing the profound meaning that the Buddha taught in the five precepts.

Let us (preliminary) people come to Buddhism to learn together these five Holy Worlds first and then experience the practice of seeing the profound meaning that the Buddha taught in the five precepts.

As Buddhists or non-Buddhists, if we understand and effectively practice the five Holy Worlds of the Buddha mentioned above in this chaotic period, everything will be peaceful.

So, who are the (preliminary) people who came to Buddhism first, let's learn together these five Holy Worlds and then experience the practice of seeing the profound meaning that the Buddha taught in these five precepts? Now let us first understand this concept of the Holy World:

So what is "gender"? How is the meaning of the word gender understood in the context of the Holy World?

Gender - means to prevent and prevent the mistakes of the body and mind of people. Each religion is born with their own "precepts". For example, there is Tao forbidden to eat pork. Whoever eats is considered transgression; and some other religions, they also have their own precepts and disciplines.

In society with many superstitious demons, there are many more precepts of strange bullshit, such as India in the time of Buddha Shakyamuni had all kinds of asceticism, such as pouring ash on people, fasting, eating ... and considering it a child. road to clean nirvana. So must have the intelligence to recognize, distinguish between the main precepts, what is the deviant precepts, what is the Holy World of the Buddha. Buddhism always takes precepts as a basis, takes meditation as the focus, takes wisdom as purpose.

The precepts of the Buddha are always closely connected in the three most basic subjects which are Gender-Dinh-Tue. Illustration

The precepts of the Buddha are always closely connected in the three most basic subjects which are Gender-Dinh-Tue.

Therefore, the Buddha's precepts are always closely connected in the three most basic subjects that are Gender-Dinh-Tue, these three precepts are also known as the three infinite illicit studies, of which gender is the first. Because, "The precepts is the first step of enlightenment, the basis of meditation and wisdom". Refers to the precepts of HT. Thich Thien Sieu once made clear about the Buddha's precepts as "the room of not only evil" or "only the principles of good and evil" - meaning to prevent and not to do evil, to do the wrong, to do all the good and the good. yourself, for people. Therefore, learning morality or keeping precepts is always synonymous with moral and moral studies. To observe precepts is to create a civilized and good way of life that any progressive society is always aiming for.

Five things this Holy World by Buddha Shakyamuni preached in the land of sentence-slapped-La (ie KoSala, the old name of the country of Xa-Ve in ancient India). The person who heard the Buddha teach this Holy World Year is the elder in the Cau-Tát-La region (such as one of the highest officials of the District now).

Buddha opened the sermon by asking the elder, "If anyone has an excuse or an unreasonable intention to kill me and harm my life, do I want to?" If anyone steals our property, or wants to take away from us, do we want to? If anyone produces sexual misconduct with us and our relatives, do we want it? If anyone deceives us or tries to deceive us, or curse and say vulgar things to us, do we want to? Is there a person who is drunk again, has a loss of reason, every word and dementia committed by his drinking with us, do we want to? Of course, we don't want to happen. And what you don't want it to happen to you, don't do it to others. ” Then the Buddha concluded: "These are the five things the Holy World has many benefits for the world. So was a disciple of Buddha to maintain the five Holy Worlds because that is the year of almsgiving.

The precepts are the root of Phuc.

The precepts are the root of Phuc.

People often think of the big things, but the reality of life tells all the great things start from the small things and the seemingly small things. Those are the negative things that we see today happening so often and they are heartbreaking. The birth of these five things of the Holy World has been recorded and discussed extensively throughout the length of more than 25 centuries of Buddhism until today recalling many of us heard and thought as boring.

But calmly meditating on this Jubilee Year, passing the test of time to this day in the "Dharma-ending" period, the more we see what the Buddha invented for the Jubilee World is indeed true for all. times, because this is the cause of all the causes leading to the struggle over losing and creating endless career suffering if people do not soon realize this. The cause is already known, how to practice the Five Holy Worlds as the Buddha taught effectively, below, I would like to repeat the content of these five precepts:

1. No killing: Mind not killing is the mind does not harm the lives of others, as well as all species, mankind has no war, terrorism that over 21 centuries mankind has not run out of anxiety ...

2. No stealing: Make sentences, do not take for no give then no more stealing. No tricks, tricks or inciting other people to do tricks to their own interests, of course, there is a healthy, safe and happy life.

3. No adultery: That is the good implementation of the law on marriage and family, monogamy, living healthy and equal in material and spiritual interests, then there is no jealousy to kill each other. The proverb has the saying "All the evil, the first sexuality". Porn here is adultery.

4. Do not lie: Ie do not say need, do not lie, say the wrong words. Talking can be a serious crime of the law, because it is necessary to cause a right and upside down. If there is a healthy lifestyle, speaking with thought to help people see the truth, that is why people respect. Otherwise will cause evil.

5. Do not drink alcohol: Is a stimulant drink. It is often said, wine in words out. The words of the drinker are not guaranteed, because it comes when the spirit is bewitched! Drinking alcohol is easy to get angry, fight, lose personality by not knowing (making you precious) ashamed. If you don't drink alcohol, your mind will always be clear and not cause serious illness. rebirth after life not be confused, foolish ...

If everyone practiced the Holy World, then how could the world not be peaceful, the home unhappy, the well-being like his father once taught. So gender is the root of Phuc. People who practice Buddhism, study Buddhism or whoever they are living in the Holy World will gain many practical benefits. Those who violate the Holy World are, of course, illegal. For example, anyone who harms the life of another is imprisoned and sentenced. It is illegal for anyone to steal or induce people to do bad things ... From that, the Dharma and the Dharma are always complementary and support each other for the benefit of people. Doing the above five things certainly does not violate the Dharma, keep the society secure. Help society develop, it is a "great giving". The word alms means: give and give (including material and mental intellect).

Characteristics of the five Holy Kingdoms of the Buddha are deeply humane and deeply human. Therefore, the content of this Holy World Year, which was proposed by the International Buddhist Conference in 1998 to the United Nations, clearly stated that a "Five precepts (five precepts) must be the foundation of global education ..." . Through this we see the Buddha Dharma "inseparable from the world" to enlighten people.

Gender and Holy gender discrimination:

As mentioned above, gender is not unique in Buddhism, as other religions also have their own precepts. So must distinguish what is the Holy World so that the precepts are not confused, lost.

The precepts spoken by the Buddha Shakyamuni, recorded in the Buddhist sutras are all called Holy World.

In the Buddhist Sangha 3B - page 73 the Buddha stated 10 purposes of forming a duty to prevent evil, to generate and to increase goodness, to keep the body and mind pure so that the defilements about (greed, hatred, si) fades away.

The reason Buddha divided into many types of precepts is to meet in accordance with the religious hierarchy such as renunciation, home. For example, the precepts for the Buddhists at home include: The Five Precepts, the Eight Precepts for the Precepts and the 10 Good Precepts. Monks and nuns ordained monks: monks (monks) have 250 precepts; About Ni (nuns) there are 348 precepts. There is also the world and the world again ... based on each type of "world" that Buddhists apply depending on predestined conditions. Because Buddhism is "uncertain", taking the spirit of "star fruit-star engine" as the basis. So the practice of Buddhism or observing the precepts in Buddhism is very flexible, neither rigid nor deadlocked as some other religions.

But in the "world" above, are taking the basis of the Five Precepts (five precepts) as a basis. According to HT. Thich Thanh Nghiem: In principle, Buddhism has no dogma, if it is dogmatic, it is the rule.

However, the precepts of Buddhism are not derived from the command, from the will of the Holy Spirit, so it does not imply the mystical nature of other religions. The precepts of Buddhism are based on moral and ethical requirements and have an empirical application.

“The basic precepts of Buddhism are the five precepts, the ten good things, the eight precepts and the ten precepts of the monks, the precepts of the monks and nuns, in addition to the Mahayana Bodhisattva precepts. But they all take 5 precepts and 10 virtues that enhance or distinguish them in more detail. Therefore, if preserving the perfect 5 precepts and 10 good, then observing the other rules will not be very difficult. " So the first 5 precepts are called the Holy World.

As mentioned above, because of the fusion of Dharma with the Dharma, Buddhism is present in countries that are always welcomed and respected. So the vast influence of Buddhism in advanced societies around the world for centuries has affirmed the truth or, more specifically, the teachings of Buddhism have always been compatible with objective reality.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.26/7/2020.
