Commentary : Unlike the forms of Formlessness, tranquility is the definition of rupa, which is the basis for all kinds of merit. Sometimes they are of a common nature, sometimes they have their own characteristics, sometimes smuggled, sometimes smuggled.
There are four stills, the second calm, the second calm, the quiet third and the fourth calm.
Each retreats has two types of concentration: tranquility, that is, the cause, and birth, that is, the result.

Calm samadhi, in general, is defined as the attention of kusala cittas to a scene, because the stills take equanimity as their nature. If isostasis is accompanied by your dharmas, calm concentration involves the five aggregates.
(Question) Why is it called "one-minded concentration" or "isotropic"?
(Answer) Because the mind has only one scene.
(Sutta) If so, the so-called "Tam-ma-geography" are the cittas with the same unique scene, and it is impossible to admit that there is one more separate legal reality, some mental consciousness that has the name is Tam-ma-ge?
(Bhikkhu-sa-sa) The so-called Tam-ma-geography is an isolated law, capable of helping the mind to focus, focus on a unique scene. These concentration centers are not tam-ma-ge.
(Sutta) There are many questions raised here. (1) The cittas are of a cessation-killing nature, so each mind has a unique condition. So what is to be expected to maintain (Tam-ma-geography) ?; (2) If saying isostatic helps to prevent the second mind from being dispersed or diverted from the scene where the predestined object of the first mind is, then there is no effect on the first mind which is considered to be similar. OK with this constant; (3) Why is there more separate dharma to form an ordinal? Why don't the minds of the mind be able to focus on a scene because of the causes and these causes are what you call persistent ?; (4) You have defined the isotropic form as a terrestrial dharma, so that all mind should be of a "transitional state".
(Bhikkhu-Bà-sa) It is not possible because isometric is very weak.
(Sutta) The cittas which are conditioned by the same scene constitute isotropic forms, and isotopes do not exist independently of them. Because the sutta says the four stills are "the practice of the higher mind" (the higher mind), the "key element of making the mind pure" (pure mind wins).
(Q) What is the meaning of stillness?
(A) Thanks to calm, the new practitioner "calm" (static) and have the ability to "judge". Magisteria means "accurate identification," as the sutra says: "It is the intention to know the real thing."

Calmness is the most vindictive type constant, it has all the limbs, operating thanks to the thread and consistent balance (meaning both the thread and the bar are in equal position), the type of constant is called is the "abstraction of phenomena" and "the easier way", the path through which the practitioner can know more and more easily. Therefore, this kind of hostile victory is called calm.
(Q) If tranquility is the isotropic type consisting of genera, then the isotropic pollutant, that is, the isotropic type which creates "pleasure" or corresponds to sensual pleasures, why is it also called tranquility?
(A) Because this kind of isotonic pollutant is the unjust authority.
(Question) But this judge will produce conclusions that are clearly unrighteous. [Indeed, one cultivates tranquility with a mind that is a prey for craving and this situation cannot be considered to be tranquility.
(A) Not so. We call this pollution situation "tranquil" because it is similar to the true kind of stillness. Just like the world still uses the word "pseudocode" (rotten seed) not to refer to a pebble etc ... but to something similar to the seed, even though the seed is no longer able to germinate. Scripture also refers to the real life still.
(Question) Based on what properties to form the four types of tranquility?

There are four forms of formality and each form has two types: "birth" and "concentration". The type of birthlessness has been explained in the third chapter. As for the type of formless form, their form, in general, is also the "concentration of kusala cittas into a unique scene".
Because of these two similarities, the prose says that formlessness is like stillness.
Still there are five aggregates as legal aid to you, but there are only four aggregates because all types of rupa are not in the formless sphere.
All types of formlessness are "attention to a scene", but they are divided into four categories because this attention comes from the separation from a lower place.
No boundless origin is the type of isotropic originating from the separation from the fourth type of tranquility and so on until the utopia of non-paranoia originating from [or Avalokiteshvara] is the kind of departure from the non-possessing land.
(Q) What does "detachment" mean?
(A) That is the type of religion that one has taken refuge in to escape from a lower place, because this religion has turned its back on the practitioner.

(Question) If so, how can we call the formless formlessness?

(Question) If so, in your opinion, What kind of gender identity will there be?
i. If saying this rupa is not the body, nor is it a speech, but only the type created by the rules of body and speech (= the type of rupa which forms part of the law of origin), how can the law exist when No body and speech? And how can a rupa which is created as a rule of law exist, without the first rupa, without races? If the law of body and speech can exist without the support of the first rupa of the formless gender, it is the same as the law of contraband, which exists without the need for the great races of the same nature. If given in the formless world, the rupa is very transparent (very wonderful), beings in the right and the rupa still have the rupa which is very transparent.
If the materiality in the formless gender is more transparent and only this type of material is called "formlessness", then the name "Colorlessness" should be reserved for a higher place than the formless gender, because these bodies will become more transparent according to the different types of samadhi in the different locations of these bodies.
Moreover, the form of beings of the rupa (or solitude) cannot be recognized due to the type of eyes in a lower region because the rupa is so transparent. So what will be different from the type of rupa which you attribute to the formless world?
In the end, if you give the first two precepts named after their scene while the other genderlessness is different, this is just a baseless assertion.
iii. It is advocated that the existing legal identity in the formless gender has four arguments: (1) economic say and life together. (2) nama (i.e. the four aggregates which are not of materiality) and rupa depend on one another as two bundles of cloth; (3) nama has consciousness; (4) consciousness does not come, does not go independently from materiality, feeling, perception, and actions.

However, speaking on unreasonable , because if you stick to each word of the text, you will encounter unreasonable conclusions as follows: (1) a certain life will accompany the ovule, even if it is the type of ova in the body (foreign ovum); (2) looks will also refer to the name; (3) foreign beauty will have consciousness as a cause; (4) there will be real passages in Lust and Virtue, because the sutta only says there are four types of food, as well as in general there are up to four abutments, so that you comment that there is still form in the Infinite World.
Are you going to say that it is not so because when the general presentation of the four types of food, the sutta has determined there are exceptions, the sutta is about a kind of gods "has transcended the heavens living through the union" real ", talking about the type of gods" living by joy ". If it is reasonable to say so, but does the sutta also say that the rupa does not exist in the Formless World? Sutra says: (1) "Thanks to the forms of formlessness should be separated from the rupas"; (2) "The very static freedoms, outside the rupas, are the formless form ..."; (3) "There are existences without rupa, which are completely beyond all concepts of rupa": thus, if there are rupas in the organic or in the forms of rupa which are formless, then sentient beings there should be ideas of materiality, and the sutta will not be able to say the lives of these lives and the samadhi by going beyond all concepts of materiality.

While the sutras do not explain such things, therefore, it is necessary to accept the formless formations that transcend all materialities,
(Question) How can one call the formations of Formlessness the "escape" of the rupas? Because the Blessed One does not recognize that the right case could be the escape from being.
(A) It is true that the Blessed One said so because he cannot get out of a being (or a being) by this very existence, on the other hand, no matter how he exists. yet one cannot still get rid of all kinds of being, or any particular kind of being.
Finally, the Buddha said in the retreats that have color, feeling, thought, action and consciousness, in the forms of formlessness there is feeling, perception, action and consciousness. If there is still rupa in the samadhi, why does the Blessed One not say there is rupa, as said about the retreats?
Through two arguments presented above shows that there is no rupa in the formless sphere. Any commentator who still has the existence of materiality in the formless world is a false and unreasonable policy.
(Question) If so, when a being attains existence in the formless world, his continuous form will be cut off for many lives, and eventually when this being reborn in a lower precept, where will this rupa come from?
(A) At that time rupa will arise from the mind of birth. This means that there has been a karmic rebirth, or a certain karma, etc., and this karma will become the rupa (the kusala rupa) until the "maturity", the trace (kan) of this kernel is in the mind and up to this stage its function has "matured", so the type of rupa which is currently arising is the rupa arising from the mind.
(Question) However, the mind in the formless world how can exist without depending on identity?
(Questioning) Why can't the mind exist without rupa?
(Answer) Because in this realm (sex world) there has never been a case of having a mind without a body.
(Explanation) If you based on this argument, you will deny the ability of beings in Lust to overcome the real passage. Besides, we have previously explained that the mind's base in the formless sphere is that they are co-ordinate and base.
(Question) The above has explained the common name of the formless form. Do these designations have proper names like No Boundless Origin etc ... because they are predestined "no" etc ...?
(A) No. The three Immortals at the bottom (No boundless origin, Infinite formless consciousness, No possessive origin) have their own name because at the stage of happiness there has been thinking about space, etc.
The name of the fourth type of formlessness was formed because it was thought to be very weak there. But even though thought is unclear or inflexible, this fourth formlessness is not without thought.
Certainly at this blessed stage of formlessness people thought, "Thought is sick! Thought it was a boil! Thought the arrow! Delusion is a delusion! It is neither thought nor imagination that is static, that is revenge! ”However, it is not because of this stage of blessing that the Fourth Formless is so named.
(Question) Why does a practitioner, when he is in the state of virtue, consider the Fourth Form of "neither thought nor thought"?
(Answer) The answer must definitely be "because the idea is too weak." That is an explanation of its name.

Commentary : The four retreats and the four formations are the eight basic samadhi.

In all, there are four cases: (1) The limb is not the limb's second limb; (2) The expenditure of the second calm is not the limb of calm: it is inner; (3) The generals for the first two stills: that is the wedding, happiness, mind most of nature; (4) The limbs do not belong to the first two stills: they are the remaining limbs.
The correspondence between the limbs of the remaining two stills is established according to the above principles.
(Question) Why did the Third Tama's talk calmly form a new limb? Isn't the first two stills inherent?
(A) Because the bliss of the third calm is the sensation, while in the calm and the second calm, the so-called "lost" is just contempt: there is only contempt, peanuts are in contempt.
In the first two stills there can be no sense. Why? Because (1) Lost in these stills can not be kind of physical (body-contact): for a person who is in samadhi, there are five physical bodies; (2) Being lost in these stills cannot be mindful, since these stills have joy. This Hy is the happy life, and both joy and happiness are present is unacceptable. It is also not possible for them to operate in succession because the retreat has five limbs while the second still has only four.
The treatise of the Sage Master:
i. In the first three stills, there is no mental-based sensation (sensation-consciousness), but only physical sense, constitutes the bliss of these stills [and co-existing with samadhi].
(Q) If such policy, you must explain why the business can say: "What is lost? The type of bliss that belongs to the body and mind which arises because of touch is the sensation. "
(Male example) The above quote is incorrect because the word "mind" has been added. In all the schools only read the word "body". Moreover, when referring to a branch of the third calm is lost, business has said very clearly in this still the practitioner "feel lost through his own body" (the body of feeling). If the word "body" means "mind" and therefore must be translated "the practitioner feels lost through the set of ideas", then why does the sutta also use the word "body" to express the above meaning? ?
ii. Bhikkhu-sa's explanation for the details of the first two stills is contempt is an explanation that cannot stand, because the contemplation of the fourth still must be greater than the disdain of the first two stills. first, but the business did not say the fourth calm.
If Bhikkhu-sa-sa answers: "The peace of the first two stills is called lost because this contempt for peace and happiness, while contempt for the fourth still does not have this quality" will answer: "The calm of the third calm is like contempt for the first two stills, that is also in agreement with the senses, why didn't the Bhikkhu-sa-sa say that the peaceful third had disdain for peace? type peanuts are covered in contempt, but say there is only peanuts, that is peanuts covered in peanuts' pleas.

Finally, the sutras say: "When the disciples were still in samadhi after witnessing the kind of joy arising from their departure, then the five dharmas were removed from this man and simultaneously attained Practicing in the dharma is happiness, contempt, happiness, wisdom and concentration ”. According to this sutta, contempt has been named differently from peanuts, thus contempt must be separated from peanuts, so the enumeration of these five dharmas is complete. So in the first two stills, peanuts are not contempt.
iii. The problem of Bhikkhu-sa-sa: In order for the pleas of the first two stills to become a kind of bodily sensation, to become a kind of pleasant body, in a person in samadhi, one needs to arise. However, this is not possible.
Answer of the Sage: During the samadhi, the body is penetrated by a kind of wind due to the arising of samadhi, and this type of wind [which is also a kind of contact] is felt pleasantly. ) [and called it contempt]. So there still arises a kind of consciousness [along with the bliss corresponding to this body].
Criticism of Bhikkhu-sa-sa: When this type of consciousness arises, there will be dispersion of the mind towards an external scene, and if so, the practitioner will quit the tam-ma-geography.
Answer of the Male Sisters: Not so, because the body of pleasure is originally born of samadhi, which is still inside the body, so it still fits with the tam-ma-geography.
Criticism of Bhikkhu-sa-sa: But the practitioner will regress Tam-ma-geography into the body-killing moment of consciousness?
Answer of the Sage: This is not the case, and the reason why is the same as what we have just presented above: this kind of consciousness is still in accord with samadhi, and as soon as this consciousness has just fallen, then the samadhi arise again.
Bhikkhu-sa-sa: Body-base or contact of Sex, how can arise consciousness of gender identity so that they call it contemptuous?
Example: The problem is not true, because there is still the arising of consciousness thanks to contempt (contempt for peace).

", We will reply that if you explain like that, we can consider the body of contempt to be smuggled. If the Bhikkhu-sa-sa answers: "The contemptuous body cannot be smuggled because the sutra has stated that all the contact is smuggled," we will reply that this sutra says so with hidden meaning. theory), that is, to show the types of emotions that are not contempt, and that the emotions are not the types of awareness aware of contempt.
Bhikkhu-sa-sa: How can you accept that some of the elements of tranquility are smuggled and others are not smuggled?
For example, because the genus of smuggling does not start at the same time as chi is not smuggled, one knows that the body of sensation does not exist at the same time as the mind of joy.
Bhikkhu-sa-sa: If so, profile still will not have enough five chi, and the second still does not have four.

(Q) Why is this name called?

On the other hand, Nirvana under its four generals - that is, the scene where the predestined object of formlessness - is not to be disposed of, and the last two acts of dukkha are emptiness and non-self - that is, scenes where the causal object is not-reminiscent of awakening because these two generals belong to Nibbāna as well as to the executive elements.
All three of the aforementioned are two types of net or immaculate, ie invisible, depending on whether they are world-class or world-class. If they belong to the world, they exist in eleven places, if they come from the world, they exist in those places where there is the Holy Path.

That is to say, the prime minister of the formless general has the karmic object of non-elimination of the formless leader, and observes this method under the "static" form. It does not take the elimination of involuntary persistent object as predestined object because this is inherently smuggled and cannot have the "elimination" of things that are smuggled. And among the four generals used to observe "killing" is death, tranquility, magic, and glass, "static" is the only one appropriate here. Indeed, the "kill" minister belongs to the non-kill but also to the "extraordinary kill", non-kill is not "marvelous" because it is inherently anonymous, nor "ly" because it is not the "detachment" of disturbing emotions.
These three idioms only belong to smugglers, because they hate the Saints [they turn away from the Saints when they see the Saints are just nothing etc ...]. And such measures cannot be immutable (immeasurable).
(Question) Who are these three practitioners practiced?
(A) They are only practiced by people in three continents rather than gods, and only by the Arahants belonging to the "immovable" line.

Comment : (1) When saying "profile calm" is intended to indicate the calm or smuggled first. Thanks to this tranquility, the practitioner comes to the abstraction. For the other three stills are like the first one.
This type of concentration does not necessarily lead to fruition of hindrances (post-wandering dhammas): Because one who has accomplished this dharma can still lose it, one can be reborn in one place. higher, one can also be Nirvana: in these three cases one will not enjoy the Dharma in the next life.
(2) The second practice leads to the attainment of "knowledge and knowledge." That is the pure natural eye label.
(3) The third practice leads to the result of "discriminating wisdom". This is the practice of the high qualities arising from the family, ie the qualities of the three precepts and the smuggled qualities. The type of persistence that arises these qualities is called the "cultivation" of these qualities.
