Converting bad karma into near death and good karma from the Sutta Pitaka.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

- The karma of the dying person is called near-death karma, which is the important karma that determines the realm of the dying person.

Near-death karma is the karma that  is about to die or the psychological power of the person before it stops breathing. This karma is extremely important in guiding the karma to be reborn. The final thoughts of the dead will create a karma (good or unwholesome).
A person can do evil all his life, but before he stops breathing, his effort to arise in the righteousness, in the goodness of his life, and through that will be reborn into the realm of goodness (the same goes for cases otherwise). From the knowledge of near-death experiences, we need to cultivate the good deeds in our lives to create a force (willpower) to eliminate negative karma in our daily lives and even to the moment of death. . [1] Some convincing evidence of the conversion of evil karma (hell) to good karma (heavenly nature) is found in the Pali Sutta Pitaka, as in two of the following cases, extracted from the Ministry - Volume 2 : Thien Cung Su
1.  Mrs. Lao Chi-Da-La
While the Blessed One was dwelling in Ràjagaha (United Kingdom), he entered the Great Compassion Hall that the Buddhas permanently resided in, then went out and observed the world. He saw right in that city in the area of the people of Candàla (Lamb-da-la, a miserable person with no one in contact) there was an old woman who was about to die and an evil karma that led to hell appeared for grandmother.
With the mind of great compassion, wanting to make her create a good karma that leads to heaven, he thought: 'I will rest him in the celestial world', and he and the male-female stilts into Ràjagaha alms.
At that moment, the old lady, Lamb, and la, walking with her cane, saw the Blessed One approaching, and when she faced Him, she stopped. The Blessed One also stopped and stood right in front of her as if stopping her from going forward.
After that, Venerable Mahà-Moggallàna (Maudgalyāyana), knowing the master's mind and knowing that the old woman's life was about to end, urged her to pay homage to the Blessed One:

Feast of the Buddha's feet,
Merciful for her fate,
Supreme enlightenment, broad reputation,
Stand right in front of you, Lamb-da.

Let your mind be fully affirmed and fortunate
About Him La-Han, of course,
Quickly prostrate, hands clasped,
Because that life is not durable!

When she listened to the false voice of Venerable, full of emotion, she initiated her faith towards the guru, immediately bowed to him with the five bodies close to the earth, and due to rejoicing in front of the Buddha, she stood silently. , head down. The Blessed One said:
- This is enough for her to go to heaven.
Then he entered the city with the Male-stilts. Immediately after that, a cow fled with the calf, rushing toward the old woman, taking the horns to knock her to death on the spot [2].
2.   The castle of the rice burnt person
At that time, the Blessed One resided in Ràjagaha (Vuong Xa), in the care place in Truc Lam. Also at that time, the people in a family in Vuong Xa got cholera. Everyone in that house died except one woman. Terrified by the fear of death, she ran away from home with all the money and grain inside and fled through a crack of the wall.
Because no one helped, she went to another family's house, so she asked to stay behind. The people in that family pityed her, bringing her rice porridge, cooked rice and burnt rice and the rest of the pots. Thanks to their generosity, she was able to live there.
At that time the Venerable Mahà-Kassapa (Mahākā dyapa) entered into Dying-Samadhi for seven days and went out, while the Venerable thought: 'To whom will we please today by receiving food? Whom will I free the sorrow of? '', Venerable saw that the other woman near the common network and an evil karma that led to hell appeared for her.
The Venerable thought: 'When I came near, this woman would give me the burnt rice that she received for her part, and by that very act she would be reborn in the Heavenly Bliss. When I have freed her from being reborn in hell like that, I will surely create a heavenly happiness for her. '
After having dressed up early in the morning, Sun Jia took the bowl and walked towards where she resided.
At that time, Sakka Thien owner (Emperor Thich) pretended to make offerings to Ton pseudo-celestial food full of delicious flavors along with many kinds of porridge, soup and curry. The Elder recognized him, and refused and said:
Hey Kosiya, why did you accomplish merit and virtue to do so? Please do not ruin the fortunate occasion of those poor misfortunes. '
Then Venerable goes to stand in front of the other woman. She wished to make a false offering to Ton and immediately thought, 'There is nothing here to offer to this majestic Elder', and she said:
- Please go a little further.
The elder took only one step back and did not accept anything offered by others. She saw clearly that the fake Venerable wanted to help her, so he offered the fake piece of burnt rice to him, and Vajra ate right on the spot and said:
- In the previous previous life, she was my mother.
Done Ton left.
She died that night and was reborn in the Hoa Lac congregation  [3].
Clearly, through the above sutras, it is shown that the Buddha and the Holy Disciple are the blessed, unsurpassable blessed fields, which can turn the evil karma of the underworld into a kusala kamma.
Similarly, the family's mindfulness for those who are about to die is a guide, supporting 'to dwell in the people who are about to lose into good karma', that is to sincerely encourage people who are about to lose, to give all their thoughts to the mindfulness of reciting A DI Đà BÌNH good karma) and vowed to be born in the realms of peace. Therefore, the blessing of the dead is extremely necessary because it helps the people who are about to die to avoid bad karma in the moment when death is near the three evil paths and especially helps them to 'settle down' into the holy name of Amitabha be free to be born in the Pure Land.
The most remarkable thing: the blessing of the people who are about to die is a medical practice, corresponding to the 18th Great Prayer of the Buddha Amitabha: "When I became a Buddha, all beings would believe in the grave and want to be born. the realm of my country rings up to 10 thoughts, if not being born, (except for those who create crimes against the defamation of Dharma), I was not in the seat of Right Understanding. "
Meanwhile, according to the Quan Am Infinite Life Sutta, the Buddha told Ananda and Vihi Hi: "That Lower Being Lower Himself. Or there are sentient beings creating akusala kamma with rebellious, cruel, full of akusala. So, because of the bad karma to fall into the wrong path, through many lifetimes extremely miserable, the fool, when he died, met the good knowledge, used many words of consolation, because he told the Dharma to teach the Buddha. If you cannot recite the Buddha's name, then you will claim the title of Amitabha Buddha, so your mind will make the name of your name not enough for ten recitations. Amitabha Buddha, because of the name of the Buddha, in each concept except for eighty memories of sins of life and death, at the general life, he saw that the golden flower seemed to be on the surface. before him, like about one thought, immediately became reborn in the Bliss world, in the lotus, only twelve lives of lotus blossom have just bloomed. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Great Bodhisattva Bodhisattva use great sound because he or she speaks of the Prime Minister of the Dharma, says the Dharma eliminates crime. He heard the Dharma already, and was very happy and immediately delivered the Supreme Master Bodhi mind. This is called the Lower Product Ha Sanh so "[4].
Thich Ton as well as the Buddhas of the Ten directions have mercy on sentient beings who create evil karma because they will fall into the three evil paths and endure in the sea of samsaric suffering and don't know when to come back to the human body. As in the Sutta of the Pratyekabuddha Sutta of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Shakyamuni, then Pham Si Truong Na, while painfully embracing the white bones of his son (now the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara), was taken by his wife murder, weeping and vow: "May I save all evil beings quickly into Buddhism. Or turn into Earth, or water, fire, wind. Or turn to make grass, trees, forests because beings take refuge, stop. Or turn to make five kinds of rice for the benefit of others, Or if God, if He, if God, all kinds of precious ... there is no realm that does not exist. " Thus distributed five hundred Prayers, praying again, "I often dwell in Sa Ba World, saying Dharma teachings" [5].
The main purpose of mindfulness is to sincerely and positively help those who are about to die, to have three quarters of salary: TIN, NGUYEN, HANH, so that they can be reborn safely in the Pure Land. However, besides, the person who is about to die (the sick or the elderly) is also very encouraged to do good to avoid evil in order to enlist the good deeds before leaving. The remaining short days in the world, the people who are about to die have the idea that doing good deeds is a very good thing, supporting the birth of the Pure Land. Confucius taught: "Morning to hear the word, death is also pleasing to the afternoon," as well as the Buddha's teaching to avoid evil and good deeds. They are advised to do good deeds such as giving, helping the poor, the isolated, building bridges, releasing, making offerings to the Three Jewels, etc. for the society, for the Three Jewels and for both the one to leave and the one to stay. Therefore, these good deeds deserve and encourage more promotion in this life of five chaos.
Thus, the concept of blessing for the dying is an extremely necessary and beneficial work, just like the Buddha's teaching, in accordance with the full and blessed prayer of Amitabha and the Ten Buddhas. Therefore, the concept of blessing should be respected, praised and encouraged for further replication. However, care must be taken to avoid unintended circumstances. This is a shared responsibility of the monks and nuns, so they work closely and harmoniously. Everything starts with difficulty but with strong understanding and determination, the practice of mindfulness can become a useful practice and especially positive support for those who are about to die in the An Lac World. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.16/11/2019.
