This Lam Bao Huan Meditation book has been circulated in Vietnam in three different versions. The first one is engraved from the Year of the Monkey, the year of Canh Tri in the sixth year of the Le Dynasty, and is stored at the Khán Sơn Pagoda in Thăng Long Thành. The second one was engraved in the year of the Ox and stored at Xuan Ang Pagoda in Luong Tai District. These two versions only have the text, no notes. The third is engraved in the Year of the Horse, the eleventh year of Tu Duc, and is stored at Linh Thien Pagoda in Long Doi Mountain, Ha Nam Province. This version has the meaning and caption of Van The Kien Su. 
The above three versions are in Chinese characters, and have been circulated in Vietnam for many ages. But in any era, this book is still considered a textbook of Buddhism. Therefore, in any Lower Assembly or a Buddhist school, there is a program of learning or teaching Lam Bao Huan. 
The original part of this book, Y Lam, lays out the original in "The Great Enlightenment of the Great Sutta Pitaka", volume 48, from pages 1016 - 1040.
