In the season of filial piety, we repeat some of the Buddha's teachings, so that the Buddhists follow, become a good child:
First, the Buddha should not do anything harmful to himself, harm people. Do not harm people easily, but not hurt yourself? As the Buddha, we understand the cause and effect, understand the Buddha's teachings but still create bad karma, it is not known love. This type of Buddha called self harm. Buddha said that people do not know his love, do not know tu. Because the cause of the cause will be fruit. Try to cultivate good deeds, away from bad people. That is the original practice of the Buddha.
Second, the effort to show a lifestyle away from two extremes. The first is to engage in low lust. The second pole is extreme. Buddha teaches the Buddhist way of life ethical, clear. Do not cause bad people to take the consequences are not good. We build from the heart of sincerity, with wisdom, clearly see the low humility in ourselves, we leave without attachment. Create a life in the morning, full of moral life style. Buddhist practitioners have a living way of life, although living in the midst of complex life, but always show a lucid life. This will avoid being involved in sensual pleasures. The Buddha said: Much suffering is much. Immerse yourself in many things. It is the joy of the world that is the cause of suffering.
The second extremity is to avoid extremism. Buddhists must have a relative lifestyle, should not be too biased. One-sided deviation is persistent. Adultery is ignorance nothing else. Looking at the family of a Buddhist who cultivate the spirit of the Buddha, we see clear expression of a balanced, open, unadulterated way of thinking. As a result, every member of the family is happy, harmonious, respectful of each other. That family is a happy family.
Here the Buddha wants to teach us to stay away from the agents that can make us deluded, fall into the path of suffering. If we live normally, have a clear view, see the truth of the surrounding events will not mistake any event. It is not wrong to say anything we also do not believe in, we do not rush to do anything we also do not hurry to accept. We always think clearly, see clearly what is true, what is not right. Yes, do not do it right. If Buddhists are always awake, so arrange family activities to stabilize, often mastering themselves, not easily fall into the wrong way.
Third, We know how to choose a healthy lifestyle, know enough. It leads to purity of mind and wisdom. Hanh has to undergo a new process of obtaining such. For example, you have been known to go to pagodas, have worked well, see people suffering, but have not chosen where to turn. For the teachings of the Buddha, the way you practice have heard but not done, not care much. Now one step further, I have to learn to understand the teachings, apply the Buddha's teachings to life to have a healthy lifestyle, mind-centered and wise. Life is always know enough, not demanding, not following the material world. Thanks to the body peace of mind, because less work is less afflicted.
However, it's easy to say, but it's a lot of work. If your will is not enough, not strong, when the difficulty, arduous, not overcome overcome, not overcome. In the life you do not have the arrangement, no will not be built up happy family peace. Step into the path also. In the direction of many things many times hardship in life. Because as we know, learning to make people difficult, learning to make the Buddha more difficult. Therefore, a hundred people learn to make the Buddha not sure of three.
I remember a story like this: There were two older boys about a couple of years apart. Your fifteen-seventeen year old, twelve-year-old niece. In the family, these two nephews are very happy. "So during this time, the young monk was very focused on how to solve his case. Finally, he realized: Everyone is dominated by impermanence. Having this body, the birth will be old, sick and dead. In short, everyone died. This road must pass through. A death sentence must be handed down, no appeals court. Fortunately, the monk decided to practice to about thirty years of gnosis, mastering completely the problem of birth and death.
Here I would like to mention the charm of the monk from childhood. Due to the fact that the family has died, he is anxious. When the young monk knew who died, he was afraid of death, wondering about his brother's death. Speaking of which, I remember the story of the Buddha. There was another woman holding her only son who had just died, running around screaming and screaming for help. No one can save. Seeing the situation she was so caring, someone just:
- She came to Buddha! The Buddha will save her son.
Listen to her, she ran to the Buddha begged him to save her son resurrected. May all the conditions of the Buddha. Buddha said:
- Hey! Come to the house where no one died, please get some ashes here, I will save your child.
Happily, the other woman runs around the village to another village, but ashes have never before seen families without death. Finally she returned to the Buddha:
- How do you find a house without a dead person to ask for a little ash?
The Buddha said:
- Also. In this life, change, death does not forgive anyone. Everyone must die. This body must be broken. Only her own child died.
Hearing this, the woman suddenly awakens, just less grief and bring her beloved children buried properly. Then she followed the Buddha's teachings and developed spiritual practice.
We too, this body will certainly have a day of corruption, will die. But we do not worry about preparing ourselves. Worried about this, the other story, the husband, the story of the career, status stories, fame ... I myself did not get anything, then one day fell a dead fall. When you close your eyes, invite you to chant prayers super, super-floating? How super-floating. Normally do not practice, not prepare, until that bad karma dragged away, where no one saved. So every day we have to cultivate. In the midst of this life change, you have to invest yourself. It means that there must be practice, moral, it is prepared for themselves.
Death phenomena make people afraid, people suffering. Because it is an impassive loss, no one knows. Now just obey the Buddha's teachings, right here want to be calm, gentle, not suffering, must effort to cultivate. For the monk, when the monks, then only one thing is to cultivate enlightenment. That is a way of filial piety. Moral virtue in the Dharma is self-cultivation for the results, then guide parents to the Three Jewels, also know as practice. So only the cultivated son can repay the great gratitude of parents. If you do not succeed, then you can not repay the grace of heaven.
As Muntanakan, if he does not succeed, he can save his mother. Because from his mother's many lives, he has created bad karmas, he is tormented by hungry ghosts. This belly is as big as a drum, which is as small as a needle, so hungry and hungry all the time. So hear or smell food that can not be eaten up the yard. We are the same today. Buddhists first understand the direction, and depending on the circumstances, the conditions of their religious practice. For example, the Buddha taught the life of impermanence, everything will change. The dharma has nothing real. Now that I am a Buddhist, should I consider this teaching of the Buddha right? What is impermanence? It is a great change, do not release anyone. As a human being is born, then grow up, then old, sick and finally die. The order of the body is like that. Born. Grow up. Old. Illness. Death.
There are mothers love children too want to grow up, so how do you want to die quickly. Is it? Every day find delicious food for children eat fast food. Bigger to do? The older one grows older, sooner or later die. You see that when you sit on the back of a school, you go to high school. It is not long, sometimes when people are studying suddenly get married, somebody because of circumstances that drop out, or someone is learning to fall to death ... all kinds of things. Grow up, study finished or not yet, then worry about the family, then the children. Go to old age, to death. Hurry up!
Like myself, here in Ching Cheng, thirty years old, this year is sixty years old! That's it. When I was stuck in the grass, I did not think I was here until now. Time passes too fast. Sitting there waiting for a long time, but for a while it is very fast. Newly eat that Tet, it is the full moon in July, then to December, then Tet again. As such, time does not stop ever.
As you prepare to go to the temple for six hours, it is nine o'clock, ten o'clock. Who is here looking for me, holding me back at six in the morning, see where it is? How to catch? Clock ticking through, through ... Seven o'clock, eight o'clock, nine o'clock, ten o'clock. It does not stop there, then, eleven, twelve hours until six or seven in the morning, but not today, but tomorrow. Water that is far from the source never comes back. You'll just see that.
The change is great, there is nothing peaceful, there is nothing happy, but we do not take care of ourselves. Lo as for me, as I said, must have a little elaborate practice, capital merit. Because in the end my path is going to be alone. Is anyone going to die, call his friend dead? No. He is afraid of the grave! Believe it, die, he is afraid of ghosts ... You see life is so. I say that is not to say the tragedy of life, but the truth is. So Buddhists must know how to prepare themselves by cultivating.
When we die, we go alone, no one can replace it. If you have a toothache, headache or pain anywhere in the body, you will feel the pain. No matter how much a loved one does, there is no substitute for it. So in the Tibetan Sutra, the Buddha said: Chi as father with me on the road meet, also can not take turns suffering. Obviously so. During this time, you are husband, wife, father, son, brother, patriarch ... but how long? Soon. Today I was sick, no medication or good luck, then the road to go. Blessed, my way of sin, I go. No one can replace it.
Folk have many delusions that they do not know. As old Buddhists come to the temple of refuge, the teacher leads the table, said three prostrations, he said:
- So this is the refuge now. I will give her a name, now I am officially a Buddhist.
But the legal name written in Chinese can not read, he said then only, go down again. The folder is folded away. At the time of my death, to bring out two plates of tile laid back to the ashes and then on the chest, someone said: There is this piece, the devil way to dare not ask. Because he knows that he is a disciple of the Buddha, no one dares to touch. Ladies and gentlemen, completely wrong. Grace leads us not to the devil who guides the way. The creator of good birth, the realm of evil, the creator of evil will fall to the evil line. This passage under the grave is not readable. So many monks who do not understand the moral, but also teach the wrong Buddhist anymore, it is great for the Dharma. So it is important for Buddhists to choose a healthy lifestyle. From that nourish the mind pure, intelligent wisdom born.
The spirit of the Buddhist is self-endeavor to practice, not expect or rely on the Buddha. We worship Buddha, offering Buddha not to be saved Buddha. Buddha, worship Buddha is thought to remember the Buddha. Whenever we see the statue of Buddha, we recall His virtue, the teachings of the Buddha, which he tried to practice. Not worship the Buddha to rely on that "I have to worship Buddha, no one to break or do anything". See the Buddha as amulets or he god, he generals to come home to repress. Thought is wrong, is guilty to the Buddha. Because He never taught me that!
Buddhists for Buddhism, for the life of self-awareness must be aware that all the good virtue of self-made, self-built. No one can help you. The Buddha or teacher just guide, remind us only, each person himself is responsible for his work. For example, near your home, your neighbors life is not serious, they commit a crime. I know well, recalled them: "He or she acted like that, will lead to bad consequences. Do not go that way again, will suffer suffering. We can only remind ourselves, do not do anything more. That is the spiritual support in the Buddhist life.
In everyday life, we try to avoid creating shortages between ourselves and people. How about people around us have sympathy, support, remind each other progress. Do not do anything intrusive, have action or language pressing people. That is the Buddhist moral instillation. You can feel the family, bring joy, trust to parents, know the direction of the Three Jewels.
In the Buddhist way of life, we have to guide our parents in the same direction, to the Three Jewels, to preserve the five world to be happy life, the next generation is happier. So we meet in the Buddha, continue to practice until the fullness. Remember not a worthwhile success without sacrificing your tears. There are no Buddhas that naturally become Buddhas. How is that so? Cause of the effect is so obvious now.
You sow good deeds to the Dharma, it is paternal virtue, surely this tomorrow you will reap good fruit, also the children show off their virtue.
