Chapter ten

Overview

Buddha  was born in 554 BC in Lumbini Kapilavatthu origin, year 509, he  attained enlightenment  under the root  Bodhi  in Bodhigaya Magadha. By 464 BC, he had flourished for forty-five years; How Sangha was  founded  forty five years. He was staying at Grudhakuta (the Agrarian or Pythagorean Mountain, or Mount Tsu) near the rajagaha of Magadha. He lived for eighty years  in the world , at the time of Nirvana. Mahaparinibbana Sutta  (Sutta Parinibbana Maha) of  Digha  II scored pretty full on the day  the last  of  the Buddha  in the world . The following statement  relies on  that sutra  .
From Rajagaha, after preaching about morality, meditation and wisdom,  the Buddha  and the delegation monks of five hundred to go north, towards Kapilavatthu to Amolatthika, then back to Nalanda, both where  the Buddha  are teaching about  consequences  harm  of  violating  international law  and  the interests  of the  precepts  of a  lay  home . At Kotigama, the Buddha  preached on the need  to  understand  the  Four Noble Truths , and then preached about the Precepts, the Precepts and the Wisdom. His delegation monks and  disciples  to continue  the  journey  to Nadika. Here, He talked about the liberation of a monk and about Gender, Dhamma, Wisdom. Arriving in Vesali, he resided in the orchard of the female Ambapalì and again lectured on Matrimony, Wisdom, and Wisdom.
"Hey ANADA We monks also  expect  something where I? Ananda, I was teaching  the Dharma  does not  distinguishconstitution or  privacy law .  As hybrids  are not Career  Gururetains something of the fist for yourself.  If you can think, "I myself will  lead  Sangha" or "Sangha  depending  where I am," the man was new to give  instructions given contact  to the Sangha. But  Tathagata  not think This is why  Tathagata  has to leave the training? Hey Ananda,  As hybrid is  already old, already old, the journey  of  the Tathagata  is about to  terminate ,  Tathagata  has reached full days because  the Tathagata  was eighty years old.
Therefore, this Ananda, be  a lamp  for yourself, be  your refuge for yourself, do not rely on any place outside yourself. A monk  becomes a  lamp to  take refuge  for yourself by the shop. form, feeling, perception, and consciousness with the photographer for  craving  and  sorrow  of  ordinary people , and always  attempts ,  self-control  and  awareness . In the monks  disciples  of mine, who do so, set such forgiveness is learning right now, or after I was  passing , monks would  reach  fruition  paramount . "
Then  the Buddha  into Vesali  for alms  and the  Venerable  Ananda to Capala. The Sutra says that  evil had  come at  the request of  the Buddha to  extinction . He taught that he only  extinct  when the  dharma  was  spread  widely and  firmly; then he asked  Venerable  Ananda had  requested  what, three times Career  Guru  asked but  Venerable  Ananda still do not  understand . Finally,  Evil has  requested the  Buddha extinction  , He accepted  and told  Phra  Ananda that in three months he would enter the great Nirvana. Then  Venerable  Ananda again  begged him not to  kill , but he  did not accept  upon his supplication.
Buddha  the monks union  disciples  to Kutagara here, he taught:
"This, monks, now the law because I  realize  and teach you, you must be careful  to learn ,  realization ,  practice  and spread to  the virtues  are  eternal , so  happy  for  sentient beings , For the love of life,  for the good , for  the happiness , for the  peace  of Heaven and he. "
The Buddha  explained  more of these are the  Four Noble Truths , the  Four Noble Truths , the  Four Consciousnesses , the Five Factors, the  Five Powers , the  Seven Episodes  and the  Eightfold Path , commonly referred to as the  thirty-seven dhanias . He instructed:
"Monks, this is my message to you: the onions are  impermanent , be  diligent  to  liberate yourself ."
The Buddha   continued to  beg in Vesali, then he went to Bhandagàma preaching about Gender, Dhamma, Wisdom. He  continued  up the road  and the delegation monks to Hatthigama, Ambagama, Bhoganagara; At Bhoganagara, he taught:
Unlike the  Law, you can  conclude , "Surely these words are not the words of the  Blessed One , and that bhikkhu was  wrongly educated ," and that the monks should  abandon  them. . When compared  with the Sutras, the comparison  with the Law, and if they are consistent  with the Sutta, corresponding to  the Law, you can conclude : "Surely these words must be the teachings of the Blessed One , He did not receive  true education. " Hey monks so is the first Great  Dhamma, you stay strong. And the monks let go of them. According to the Law, you can conclude , "Surely these words must be the teachings of the Blessed One , and the monk was a true teacher ." Hey monks so is the first GreatDhamma, you stay strong. According to the Law, you can  conclude , "Surely these words must be the teachings of the  Blessed One , and the monk was  a true teacher ." Hey monks so is the first  Great Dhamma, you stay strong. "
The Buddha  accompanied the Bhikkhus to the Pāvà and stayed in the mango garden of the Cunda blacksmith. Here  the Buddha  was poisoned by the ear mite at dinner that Cunda  offered . He was devastated but then he recovered the illness. To Kusinara, he  taught the Dharma  to Pukkusa of the Malla tribe. He  continued  to go to Kakutta river, river bathing He then went to the mound across the river. He  continued  to go and break every way,  finally  came in Kisunara Himmavati river. He entered the forest of Sàla in the Malla tribe, and told  PhraAnanda to lay his place between the two Sàla trees, head to the north, he taught:
"Ananda, please  achieve the  righteous  and  righteous Dharma , live  righteously  in the  dharma  and  practice  correct  Dharma ."
Next, he told the four  relics  to  see : 1) where  Buddha was born; 2) where the Buddha  realized ; 3) where the Buddha Dharma  turn ; 4) The place where the Buddha  died . He also teaches  Venerable  Ananda need to  preserve  the mind, to show  the attitude seriously before females and advised on the  split  relics Him. He encouraged us:
"Hey Ananda, be  diligent , look forward to self-determination, live without  direction , be  diligent , concentrate on self-determination."
Venerable  Ananda found himself no  enlightenment , saw Career  Guru  is about  death ,  sorrow  give  away to  his residence  based doorpost and wept. Buddha summoned  venerable  to and teaching about  impermanence , advice and  praise the  venerable and soon teaches  venerable  'll  attained  Supreme contraband . Then he taught the  author  to tell the Malla people that tonight the  Exalted One  will  pass away . Then he left for the  pagan  Subbada  ordained monks.
He also turned to the  Venerable  Ananda that teaches:
"Ananda, if some of you think," The word of the  guru  is gone,  we no longer have the guru "then Ananda, do not have such  thoughts  . The Law I taught and presented, after I passed  away , that  Dharma  and Law would be your  Master  . "
The Buddha  asked three times whether  Phra  Ananda had any questions. He then taught:
"Ananda, of the five hundred monks, the lowest one who has attained  the Proclamation , no longer  falls ,  surely  towards  liberation ."
And this is the final teaching   of  the Buddha :
"Monks, I now advise you:" Comprehensive  dharmas  are  impermanent , be  diligent , do not have the liberty! "
Then  the Buddha  entered the  Initiation Meditation ; Export  Private meditation , type  II meditation ; Export  Second Jhana , enter  Tam meditation ; To  meditate , to enter the  four meditations ; Recommended  Charity ,  enter not  infinite  origin; Export  non-boundary country , enter the  boundless country ; Export of  boundless country , enter  the country of origin ; Export  Unknown Origin ownsimport  African origin idea ideal non ; Export  African origin idea ideal non import  Unknown Origin ownership ; Export of  Indigenous Origin , To enter the boundless Consciousness ; Export  boundless country , enter not  boundless  country; Export not boundless , enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the second jhana ; Export Second Jhana , enter Admin meditation ; Export Private meditation , type II meditation ; Export Second Jhana , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity  immediately  His passing , Export boundless country , enter not boundless country; Export not boundless , enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the second jhana ; Export Second Jhana , enter Admin meditation ; Export Private meditation, type II meditation ; Export Second Jhana , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity immediately His passing , Export boundless country ,  enter not boundless country; Export  not boundless , enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the second jhana ; Export Second Jhana , enter Admin meditation ; Export Private meditation , type II meditation ; Export Second Jhana , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity immediately His passing , Export not boundless , enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the second jhana ; Export Second Jhana , enter Admin meditation ; Export Private meditation , type II meditation ; Export Second Jhana , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charityimmediately His passing , Export not boundless , enter the  four meditations ; Recommended  Charity , enter  Tam meditation ; To  meditate , to enter the  second jhana ; Export Second Jhana , enter Admin meditation ; Export Private meditation , type II meditation ; Export Second Jhana , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charity immediately His passing , Enter the second jhana ; Export Second Jhana , enter Admin meditation; Export Private meditation , type II meditation ; Export Second Jhana , enter Tam meditation ; To meditate , to enter the four meditations ; Recommended Charityimmediately His passing , Enter the second jhana ; Export  Second Jhana , enter  Admin meditation ; Export  Private meditation , type  II meditation ; Export  Second Jhana , enter  Tam meditation ; To  meditate , to enter the  four meditations ; Recommended  Charity immediately His  passing ,
Thus,  the Buddha  entered  meditation  leisurely  carefree  in the  realm  of the Sac and  Immaterial , to  last  from  Charity , he  exported to  and imported straight Great Nirvana.
Through the  scriptures ,  we  see  the Buddha  has repeatedly  stressed  the importance of  psychoanalysis  (morality, concentration and wisdom) to a  disciple of Him. Teachings  of His revelation was, teach  a specific way ,  obviouslyPerform  the teaching  that to  realize  ultimately  like Him, the  priest  must be  refined to learn , to  understand  it  and  to  upholding the base  by  keepingprecepts .  The Law and the Law are reminded by the Teacher as a measure of  the value  of all  opinions ,  views , actions, from which point is the foot, where false. Spirit of  respecting  the French and Law is primarily, but not respect  a blind dogma . So that insight  is promoted thanks to meditate  on, is a shining light for the practitioner . That light comes from the practitioner himself  is the meaning  of "self is the lamp , the refuge  for yourself." Views , actions, from which point out where the legs, where is false. Spirit of respecting the French and Law is primarily, but not respect a blind dogma . So that insight is promoted thanks to meditate on, is a shining light for the practitioner . That light comes from the practitioner himselfis the meaning of "self is the lamp , the refuge for yourself." Views , actions, from which point out where the legs, where is false. Spirit of respecting the French and Law is primarily, but not  respect a blind dogma . So that insight is promoted thanks to meditate on, is a shining light for the practitioner . That light comes from the practitioner himself is the meaning of "self is the lamp , the refuge for yourself." but not to respect a blind dogma . So that insight is promoted thanks to meditate on, is a shining light for the practitioner . That light comes from the practitioner himself is the meaning of "self is the lamp , the refuge for yourself." but not to respect a  blind dogma . So that  insight is promoted thanks  to meditateon, is a shining light for  the practitioner . That light comes from the practitioner  himself is  the meaning of "self is  the lamp ,  the refuge for yourself."
The  purity  of study , self-reliance ,  self-reliance ,  self -giving leads to the attainment of  the sainthood  like  all  five hundred monks around  the Buddha  as he approaches Nirvana. The cites five hundred monks are earnest exhortation of  the Buddha  to  disciple  him,  while  a determined witness to  the performance success  of the Sangha of  the Buddha . He also taught that  the Chief Justice should be  popular  widely  for the benefit  of  sentient beings , Due to the  infinite compassion of the   Buddha disciple . Teaching  last  of him:  "Behold the monks, now I advise Mr: The  compounded  is  impermanent , be  diligent , and not have distractions,"  is the message intensive set of Career  Guru greatness, must be in another association, is  mind , must be  done  for those who want  liberation  from suffering,  especially  that for every  monk  ordained .
In forty-five years the Sangha has been formed, growing constantly, bearing some of the basic features below.
1. The Sangha is a community by  the Buddha  founder  of education and training  during the  period  from when he  moved Falun  for the first time in Baranasi (Balaam complaints)  so  when he  passed away  at Kusinara .
2. Sangha includes every  component  old, young, male, female, all from the king class, from  religious  pagan  to  untouchables ... live  equality ,  purity , in  the teachings  of  Buddha .
3. Sangha  practice  , concentration, Tue  become  a solid foundation, causing  affected  greatly in  the masses  People , including many reach  Sainthood  least compared to the  congregation  another and Sangha  Buddha Spear  later.
4. Sangha includes  monks who  leave  their families ,  single ,  poor , alms- keeping  ; beyond  food , clothing and a few  items needed , no one  asset  nothing particular.
5. Sangha organized,  precepts  closely  based on  the spirit ofself-discipline ,  purity ,  harmony  and  non-violence .
6. Sangha advocated self-  liberation  is the main,  and  contact closely with the  society  to  spread the  Dharma ,  represents the spirit  of forgiveness .
7. Sangha is the  support  strong government and the  masses  the people ,  especially  the more modern  lay  a lap because of  the Dharma .
8. Sangha has created traits  characteristic  of  thought ,  culture ,  ethics , in  society .
9. Sangha full  meaning  full  of house  Three Jewels .
Come here, I also need to discuss  the spirit of  harmony ,  pure  in the Sangha. Spirit  was  influenced  strongly to the  practice , the prosperity of the Sangha and the  Buddha's  teachings.
Purity  is the  purity ,  purity  of  soul  by the  practice of  the monastic  monks  related  to the legal development  of insight  leads to  liberation  ultimatumHarmony  is the  attitude of  gentleness ,  what information  to  people , that is  the spirit of kindness ,  compassion ,  love for  peace and  nonviolence .
1. About Air initiates (the  harmony  of practice  under the same  international obligations );
2. Conciliation of conciliation (the same place to know,  exchange complementary to  Buddhism );
3. Benefit the army (equally divided  items  );
4. Compassion of compatriots (living together, give each other glasses);
5.  Export Air  multitude avoid  ( speech  gentle,  pleasant together, without controversy);
6. The harmony of co-approval ( four  harmony, not contrary to each other, happy living  together ).
Right in the  Buddha , the  case  violates  the rule  not the least, especially when Sangha has become crowded on life quality makes  the monastic  Patimokkha be extended to as many precepts are inserted to prevent Forbid  recidivism . The Desolation of the Sutra  I tells a story of a Brahman to  the Buddha  and public opinion quoted   in the king: "In the past the monks were few, but it consists of many high  priests , many  psychic  evolution  is  manifested . today, the monks much less degree  traders , little miracles ". Buddha  was  explained  by distinguishing three types of  psychic  is  psychic  transformation ,  psychic  knows the mind of others, and  Kabbalah  teaching . He teaches  Kabbalah  teaching is the most important, is  benefiting  the most, and the  disciples  is  His mostly acquired  Kabbalah  teaching , ie the ability of the beings he. That is a question  to answer  sensitive  and  practical . However, the  opinion  that the Brahmin mentioned is also a  fact . Indeed, when the congregation  was crowded then the  realization  there is less, there is of course, since that time the identity of the possibility  of realization  hard to  express  it. Much more,  the result  of great in  popular  Buddhism , creating a strong community is a  circumstance  nice  to meet the  people  's  efforts to  liberate  suffering. Nor should  ideally  turned a  status quo  reality  is  life  with the  people not  finishing , is time to probe to  the dark good.
A  case  must  recognize  is that  the case  of monks Devadatta (Devadatta), the  disciples  degenerate, causing many  distractions  for  the Buddha and the Sangha. Devadatta joined the  congregation  at the  same time  as many  other princes , when  the Buddha  returned to  Kapilavatthu for the first time after attaining the  path . Being the cousin of  the Buddha , he proved  his diligent practice  should be respected many people, but when he was rotten in old age, want to replace  the Buddha  leader  Sangha. He urged King Ajatasatu to occupy the throne of King Bimbisara, and plundered the king with the Buddha . Once King Ajatasattu followed the temptation, but the archers ambushed to shoot the  Buddha , but by the power of the Sun , the archers did not carry out  the conspiracy  . Devadatta himself pushed a large rock to hit the Buddha , but only a small rock hit his feet. Once  More, Devadatta the mad elephant ferocious drop right path of Buddha  to harm him, but before his unfortunate reputation, mad elephant knelt at his feet, subject to submission . Once King Ajatasattu followed the temptation, but the archers ambushed to shoot the Buddha , but by the powerof the Sun , the archers did not carry out the conspiracy . Devadatta himself pushed a large rock to hit the Buddha , but only a small rock hit his feet. OnceMore, Devadatta the mad elephant ferocious drop right path of Buddha to harm him, but before his unfortunate reputation, mad elephant knelt at his feet, subject to submission . The archers did not carry out the plot . The archers did not carry out the plot .
Finally  Devadatta with six monks demanded  amending  the rules ,  declaring the Buddha  lived  lavish , does not hold true virtues  of poverty  of  monks . The work also draws thousands of monks of the Devadatta, almost a  church  Monday was  established . But the  virtue  of  the Buddha  still  shining , and efforts by  solving two  Supposedly  Sariputta and Mahamoggallana, who was astray  back  into submission  and self-alienation Devadatta, was  isolated ,  lonely , Grief . By the time  of regret , Devadatta attempted to  sin  with  the Buddha , but  risked  his death while bathing in a pond.
These things remind  people  that no matter how close an organization is, no matter how  many  good members there are ... there are no   bad elements , no obstacles. But with the  noble presence of  the Buddha , obstacles are quickly  resolved . But later, the  problem  is no longer as easy as that, so to  meditate on,  Morality ,  traditional  Bill Rom of the Sangha, the  vigilance  must always ranked first in the  activities  Increase -old.
Sangha of  Buddha  in  circumstances  predestined  favorable  and  significant history , the Sangha completeness,  performance  fine  ever before  far . The  compounded , according to  the Buddha's teachings  are so  interdependent , is  impermanent , so do not  avoid  the  change  according to  circumstances , according to the  time . The Buddha appears  in life, giving  the message  of salvation  is a  great  opportunity,
The Buddha  never claimed to be a scientist, a philosopher. What He teaches is  practical , is  based on the  basis of  sentient beings  in the time of  society ,  the circumstances  of each  individual . He used both  systems  thinking  philosophy , both the  trust  of the majority of the time, the things that he is not really  acceptable , remains how to lead people to follow  the path  that He opened the market. Teachings  His  custom engine , It is so flexible  that in many  cases the look  outside seems to  contradict  each other. Precepts  which he laid out is also dependent upon  the circumstances  at the time, today granted a few needed changes and some may need to be added to  fit  the  circumstances  new. The spirit  of preserving  the precepts  always needs to be praised, but it is not the  attachment of  the content or the  word  - of each precept. So that  point  that only  the precepts  primitive  as Junior, is  invariant , the views  that  seem to  have been  contrary to  the spirit of non-self , Radio observance of  the teachings Buddha . But, the shifts, arbitrarily change  the rules  is that it is  sloppy ,  let loose  and rotten.
The Buddha  's  teachings  were  like  "the finger of the moon". It is very  practical, very  valuable  but nonetheless nonetheless still  a means . And so, the controversy over the  teachings  after  the  Buddha  's birth still  exists . Three months after  the Buddha  passed away ,  Venerable  Maha Kassapa ( Oscar-lettuce ), the  disciples  of  the Buddha  instead he  led Sangha opened the  conference  compiler  first near Rajagaha, by the Venerable  Ananda read the  teachings of the Buddha ,  Venerable  Upali read Discipline , as the basis for the Tripitaka  later. From here were conceived disagreements on Economics, Law and commentaries, and some public opinion  that some Arhat is not attending  the conference  had in mind that some of Economics, Law did not entirely  like Venerable Ananda And upàli reread. Then, Buddhism  as the later increasingly split among several sects , and to any compiler  fourth, more than six centuries later, the Buddhists  were divided into eighteen sects  differ. Venerable Upali read Discipline , as the basis for the Tripitaka later. From here were conceived disagreements on Economics, Law and commentaries, and some public opinionthat some Arhat is not attending the conference had in mind that some of Economics, Law did not entirely like Venerable Ananda And upàli reread. Then, Buddhism as the later increasingly split among several sects , and to any compilerfourth, more than six centuries later, the Buddhists were divided into eighteen sects differ. Venerable Upali read  Discipline , as the basis for  the Tripitaka later. The basis for the Tripitaka later. The basis for the Tripitaka later. From here were conceived disagreements on Economics, Law and commentaries, and some  public opinion that some Arhat is not attending the conference had in mind that some of Economics, Law did not entirely like Venerable Ananda And upàli reread. Then, Buddhism as the later increasingly split among several sects , and to any compiler fourth, more than six centuries later, the Buddhists were divided into eighteen sects differ. and some public opinion that some Arhat is not attending the conference had in mind that some of Economics, Law did not entirely like Venerable Ananda and Upali reread. Then, Buddhism as the later increasingly split among several sects , and to any compilerfourth, more than six centuries later, the Buddhists were divided into eighteen sects differ. and some public opinion that some Arhat is not  attending the conference had in mind that some of Economics, Law did not  entirely like  Venerable Ananda and Upali reread. Then,  Buddhism as the later increasingly split among several  sects , and to any  compiler fourth, more than six centuries later, the  Buddhists were divided into eighteen  sects differ.
Except for some  reason  women,  reason  primarily of the  divided  sects  from  perspectives  differ in some  sense  of the  doctrine  and  practice of  cultivation . Completing this argument more and more,  the teachings  of  the Buddha  are analyzed, be  deployed  very parsimonious. What  spiritual  philosophies,  discussion  has enriched the background  culture  of thought  Buddhism , but also may have went so far as  nature  practical  is to  liberate  from the suffering of  the Buddha . First, Buddhism  has  become  a subject  being  learned,  psychological study,  phenomenology ,  cosmology ... Starting from the  appearance  of the sects A-Pi-reaching Rom  sentence-amnesty argument , right The commentaries, the Neo-  narrative , the  commentators  have  shown that  you are all great minds, your analysis has helped the  learners ; However, a study  Buddhism  is a  yogi , and indeed the  knowledge  deeply,  thoroughly , may be just the  theater conclusion ,
Due to the  nature  of impermanence  of  all things  compounded , the  change  of the  method  of practice , both in some  sense  Buddhism  is not  can not  happen, and of course Sangha also some definition changes over  time Space  and  space. Since  the Buddha  entering Nirvana University, since the division  into  the  sect, the  case of  religious  enlightenment  increasingly rare. Standing  morally  ,
One point to  emphasize is  that  the spirit  of precepts  in Sage real is not uniform, not tight. This refers only to  the spirit  of precepts , not to mention the specificcontent   of  precepts ,  the  procedures of the Melancholy was not  applied thoroughly , the teaching,  exchange  of Gender, Arbitration also bring  nature traditions , as  harmony ,  purity , have not been well defined in the Sangha, no harmony between the general and the Sangha in own residence,  gender schools, local Tang- Old age of four ...
Re-enlightment  must be the  tradition  of the Sangha, the rise of  insight , the  spirituality  must be the  tradition  of the Sangha. If not  , then on the surface  meaning ,  monks  and  laypeople  are different?
Three Jewels  are the general of  all things . The Three Jewels are  full in a Bhikkhuni, in the Sangha, in a  Buddhist layman  and also in a non-  BuddhistThe desire  to build  a peaceful and peaceful life   , to  reduce  suffering is  the common will of all  sentient beings . In order to  carry out  that intention  , in order to  carry out  the  saving message  of  the Buddha ,  the Sangha himself ,  Each monk itself must be a  pioneer  in action and in  the achievement of the  virtues . END=NAM MO CAKYA MOUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.18/4/2017.
