Chapter VI

Nanda to the fraternities.

-ooOoo-
In the Sangha community only Sàrìputta is the best friend of Ananda. And Anuruddha (his younger brother), though his siblings, but the relationship between them has proved not very close. The reason is because Anuruddha likes quiet solitude, and Nan Da often interacts with people. On the other hand, Sårìputta is a great disciple who has the most sermon-like way of teaching the Buddha, so when conversing with Sariputta, Ananda felt as if he was talking to the Master.
In the sutras it is clear: Only Sariputta and Ananda are two persons who have been given the two "positions" by Lord Buddha: Sariputta, the "Great Tathagata," and Ananda, As Lai Lai Thinh Van ".(That is, a person deserves to be described as "The Buddha's Idea.") And the other person deserves to be reminded of the Buddha's teaching.
Another passage in the Tripitaka also states that Sàrìputta is an eloquent narrator, especially when he speaks as a roaring lion (Sihasutta).
Ananda is a "business men", that is, "place contains Buddhist language" most solid and most integrity. It is said that Ananda is listening to the Buddha's teachings, it is possible to narrate the same, not add, not reduce, even if only a letter or a rhyme.
At this point, we can bring Ananda in comparison with Moggallana. The most famous disciple of the Buddha (Moggallana) also has a very simple, practical, popular and understandable sermon.Moggallana is the second great apostle (after Ananda) famous for the virtue of repeating the Buddha's words unspecified.
On the other hand, Ananda and Sariputta were often assigned by the Buddha to carry out some general work. For example, when Anāthapindika was severely ill, they visited together several times (Majjhima Nikayaa 153, and Samyutta NiKaya, 55-56). Or both joined forces in resolving the discord in the clergy in Kasambi (Anguttara Nikàya 221).
As far as the teachings, Ananda and Sariputta have exchanged close together with each other countless times. Therefore, when Ananda or news of the relics Phat died, he immediately fell away, mourned as follows:
"Suddenly the scene of sadness,
Huynh go" mind "is no longer
wise
.
(Nguyen Dieu is translated according to 1034 in Theragatha: Sun Tuc Kinh) .
Indeed, when Sariputta was passing away, Aranda was not attained the Arahant, and the sadness of his heart melted like a great storm that blew away all the light of wisdom in the soul of Sunnah. fake this respect. It is also a lesson for Ananda to later understand the suffering caused by death, mercy (Two of the eight worldly).
The Buddha saw Ananda is extremely suffering, so he saved his life by consulting as follows:
- Ananda! Did the relics of the Buddha bring with him a part of the virtue, partial purity, partial wisdom, partial sanctity or partial liberation?
- Lord Buddha! Is not!
Then A Nan followed:
- But Sariputra is a constant guardian, leading new toddlers into the path.
The Buddha then gave other comforting words, instructing Ananda to a higher dignity. He asked:
- Ananda! Remember the truth that Tathagata taught that: Nothing is born and will remain forever.Although the relics of Sariputta to the Buddhist ranks can be considered as a large tree branch has left the tree. Without the presence of Sariputta, the Sangha community suffered greatly. But not so that the disciples stick to the guidance, protection of others, even if that person is Tathagata, not to say that Sariputta! So Ananda, let yourself be tormented by the torch of wisdom for oneself, not dependent on one's power (Samyutta Nikàya 7: 13: Acts 7:13). Listening to the Buddha so A Nan Da new mind, then diligently perform the task.
In addition to the relics, Ananda often discusses, closes and shares with a number of other monks.
For example, one day, Bhikkhu Vangisa went begging with Ananda. On the way, Vangisa suddenly felt bored of celibacy, a dangerous disease of the highest level of the religious. His mind was naturally filled with sorrow, and then demanded sensuality. Instinctively, he realized that a monk's life was meaningless, and that getting married and creating a family home was more attractive and happy.
Bhikkhu Vangisa is a talented poet. Using the poetic language (in the Buddhist scriptures called Shade), he asked Ananda to help him fulfill his will.
Nan Nan understood what was being cooked in the mind of his companion, and advised him on the following:
"Life is only beautiful when burning love,
He who would love life do not know sorrow.
Love of life is love theater!
Drapes let makeup done ... nothing?
Hey junior nor to bohemia
Be Concentrate the mind to know yourself!
When the color of life is useless,
Tinh Tinh and happy see everywhere! "

In the above verse, Ananda has shown Vangisa that: "Because he is suffering from sensual affliction, Vangisa can not recognize the truth of suffering, especially suffering. When the craving for love takes over, then man becomes easily disheartened and despairing. If the victim is a Taoist, it makes them bored. Hence, Achan Vangisa must calmly recall all the images in life, like the beauty on stage, although looks beautiful, embracing, but the inside reality is very bad It is so desperate ... to understand that "this body, whether beautiful or bad, is diseased or healthy, disabled or intact, which is the source of all suffering. i ". recluses any apparent introspection so,
In another case, after the Buddha entered Nirvana: Bhikkhu Channa was sometimes cynical (Vicikicca) harassment. Although he knew that the five aggregates were impermanent, he still loved, and feared that "I believe in Nibbana is falling into the ants!" Or: "Is Nirvana a wonderful state?" Or: "Is not equality equal to a number?"
For the life of every creature in the world is meaningful only when it is in that life that there is something eternal and immortal. If we practice to become a "disappearance" then the practice is based on the ants.
Thinking so, Channa rushed to Ananda to solve the questions in the mind.
Ananda prompted Channa to remember that the Buddha had taught: When such a question arises in the mind of a practitioner, when his or her level of practice is advanced, Break the last wall of the ring of samsara. The wall is the Hold (yes there is) and the hatchet (for no).
Then Ananda Converts the complete lecture on the Buddha and the Buddha taught Channa. At just the beginning of the episode, Channa suddenly felt relieved. He listened to the whole Dharma way more and more happy. He praised the teachings of the Buddha, as follows:

- It is wonderful to hear the Dharma! It is fortunate for the young monk to have a wise brother as a teacher. If past suspicions have caused the discontent to become confused, dizzy and almost defiant, then now hear the truth, the soul is being enlightened, the right path is achieved. (According to Samgutta Nikaya 12-15-22-90: A scribes Acts 12-15-22-90).END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.12/10/2018.
