The origin of "chang phan" in Buddhism.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH. Phan in Sanskrit is Ba Da Ca, also called Ke Do, is a common name for Tinh Ky and Trang, Cai, ... and is also a tool to decorate the ashram, make offerings to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The Traveling Sutras in the Truong A Ham series and the Tin Interpretation of the Dharma Flower Sutra mention very clearly about Phan. As mentioned above, there are 5 colors: Green, yellow, red, white, and black. Book 3, Da La Ni Book Sutra mentioned the chromatic phan. The upper book, the Bodhisattva Precepts Manjushri, is about the dragon-shaped phantom. In addition, the Ni Da Na Muc Dac Ca series has listed 5 types of phantoms such as: "Phan lion, Phan dragon, Phan mac tiet la, Phan list lu tea, Phan buffalo king." Some of the above-mentioned types of phantom are dignified tools, used to make offerings to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Doing phan, hanging phan, offering phan will get many merits and benefits. The sutras say: "The country of Capila had an elder, his wife gave birth to a son, and at the birth of the child, a large phantom appeared in the air, so the child was named Ba Da Ca. Later, he went forth from the home life and attained Arahantship. Now the bhikkhus asked the cause and effect of Ba Da Ca's previous life. The Buddha told the crowd: Ba Da Ca in the past, after the Buddha Vairocana entered Nirvana, he sewed a long phantom hanging on the Buddha tower. Because of that merit, 91 kalpas did not fall into the evil path, and often hung up the treasures of happiness in heaven." The Avalokiteshvara Sutra, chapter 11 says: "As I today also advise to make a phantom, hang it in pagodas and towers, receive blessings and happiness, leave the eight tribulations, and be reborn in the Pure Lands of the Buddhas of the ten directions. If someone makes offerings to them, they will fulfill their wishes and attain Bodhi." The Avalokiteshvara Sutra says: "If someone does the 49-meter tall phantom (the Chinese train), he will be cured of illness and suffering, and will prolong his life." In Sakyamuni, volume 5, volume 5, Ascendant King Tai Bat Van Tu Thien Thap Ky records: “After the Tower became, he made 1,200 treasures and brought all kinds of flowers as offerings; while not hanging, the King suddenly fell ill. For that reason, the King earnestly prayed that: If there is a feeling of majesty, please have mercy and save me from my illness. Sure enough, more than 20 days later he recovered from his illness.” Book 11, the Avalokiteshvara Sutra says: "If someone is about to die, for them, burn incense and light a lamp, stay in a temple hanging a phantom, change to read religious scriptures, and spend 21 days. Because after a person's life in the intermediate state is like a small child, his sins and blessings are not yet determined, he must cultivate blessings for him, dedicate them to the departed soul, and his consciousness will be reborn in immeasurable lands in the ten directions, relying on this merit. but be reborn”. Some of the above-mentioned examples are that "the custom of network phan" can be extended life; "The life is too phantom" can be reborn in the Pure Land, there are two such theories. There are also: Empowerment phan used at the time of empowerment, etc. There is also a type of phan, shaped like a rosary with 6 or 8 corners called phantom, it includes two types of merit: Trang and phan. If wood is used to make a phantom, it is called a wooden phantom.END=NAMO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/6/2021.
