Buddha said: If you don't do evil, what is there to be afraid of?VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
If you want to be free from fear, you need to see clearly: "Evil and unwholesome dharmas will harm themselves, without this there would be no disturbances, no worries." So if you want real peace, go back to subduing and transforming greed, hatred, and delusion in yourself.
Precious Buddha's teachings for women
The Buddha did not promise to save or judge anyone, but pointed out that each person should take a good look at himself...
Fear is an inherent attribute of the human psyche. We often fear about everything, from what has not been to what has been, from what has not come to what has passed, especially fear of the death of those in the late afternoon. Of course, knowing fear also has its own benefits, like when we are afraid of the consequences of bad deeds, we will live more virtuous lives. The important thing is to be afraid of what is scary, and not to be afraid of what is not.
People who know how to look inward and correct themselves are often concerned with their future and afterlife. They often ask themselves or ask others whether their efforts to live a good life in the present will guarantee a good future. From here, many people believe in the promises and guarantees of gods or divine creators. With the Blessed One, he did not promise to save or judge anyone, but pointed out that each person should look closely at himself in the present to see and be sure of the results in the future.
“Once upon a time the Buddha was in the garden of Nikoku, in the country of Sakyamuni Kapilavastu.
At that time Shakyamuni Maha-nam came to the Blessed One, bowed to the Buddha's feet, and sat to one side. Shakyamuni Maha-nam said to the Blessed One:
"I have been taught by the Tathagata: 'If there are good men and good women who have cut off the three fetters and obtained the fruit of Tu-da-complete, which is called non-reversal, they will surely attain the fruit of the path, and will not seek other ways. there's no need to observe other people's words anymore'. If so, then this is not correct. If you encounter a fierce buffalo, horse, or camel, you will be terrified and your hair will stand up. Then you think: 'If today I embrace this fear and die, I don't know where to be born?'
The Buddha's teaching: 'Listening' is an excellent practice
People who know how to look inward and correct themselves are often concerned with their future and afterlife.
The Blessed One said to Mahanam:
- Don't get scared. If you have a common life, you will not fall into the three evil paths. Why is that? Now there are three meanings of destruction. What is three? Just as if one is infatuated with lust, one has delusions, and then one has thoughts of harm towards others. Without this desire, one does not have the mind to kill, and in the present moment there is no suffering. Evil and unwholesome dharmas harm themselves; without this, there would be no disturbances, no worries. These, Mahanam, are the three meanings of evil and unwholesome dharmas that cause them to fall, while good dharmas are above. Just like the butter (bowl) in the water is broken, then the stone tile sinks to the bottom, and the butter floats on top. In the same way, evil and unwholesome dharmas sink, and good dharmas float above.
So if you want real peace, go back to subduing and transforming greed, hatred, and delusion in yourself.
Cause and effect are obvious. If one considers oneself in the present moment, the mind is not entangled in sensual pleasures, the mind does not give rise to delusions, and does not cause harm to others, then that person will surely have a peaceful life. Not only in the present, but also in the future. Those who have established such a good life can live peacefully, "now happy in the next life", there is nothing to be afraid of.
However, most of us "get entangled in lusts, start to think, start harming others" but always pray for the above grace to keep us safe. No one can help the beggar get his wish that goes against the law of cause and effect. People are not safe, how can there be peace results! If we only have a pot (substance sink, unwholesome dharma) but no butter (floating substance, good dharma), then when we are thrown into the water, sinking is sure.
If you want to be free from fear, you need to see clearly: "Evil and unwholesome dharmas will harm themselves, without this there would be no disturbances, no worries." So if you want real peace, go back to subduing and transforming greed, hatred, and delusion in yourself. Greed, hatred and delusion always correspond to each other. More of this, more of that, and vice versa. A fearless, fearless person is one who has subdued greed, hatred, and delusion.END=NAMO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.25/6/2021.
