  Ancient Indian belief is that  purity  can  be achieved  when one sees, meets or closes with a pure person . Similarly , they believe that the  ritual  of religion  can also help them  clean . That is, believing  purity  or  spiritual power   can be transmitted through intimacy or  ritual . Buddha  said that no matter  the purity  chemical  achieved  in  the world  of foreign origin.

This prayer begins with the words people  Brahmin  asked how people could self-  purification  chemicals seeing a  trader  has  purity , and  the Buddha  replied  that there can be no one self-  purification  when looking see a pure person  . Also can not  rid ourselves of  suffering  through  knowledge , through the  rituals  of religion , through what is seen heard. Liberation comes  only, when not holding anything, when  letting go of  all concepts, when leaving all  knowledge, when leaving all views (yes / no, like / hate) for what is heard.

This raises business  confidence  often :  for example ,  we  present is  Germany  the Dalai Lama , and thought that the  purity  can be spread through the seen. Similarly ,  we  wish that in this life we ​​will meet a  Buddha who appears  , either during  meditation  or near death, so that  we can  be  purified  by  the image  seen. This sutta says no one can be  purified  because to see and to meet someone who has  purified . Next, It says, nobody  purity  thanks to what has been learned ( knowledge , concepts,  rules ,  rituals  of religion ) ... Verse  790 says that good and evil are also  far away , "Good and evil no longer have  anything  to do with the one who has  let go of  them, has no more artifact."

Carefully read  the Dhammapada ,  we  will see  the Buddha :

- saying in the  Dhammapada  39 that people who have  let go of  both good and evil have no  fear  ;

- said in Shelf  Dhammapada  97 that have  destroyed  the  causes and conditions  for all  legal good  and evil are  supreme ;

- says in the verse of  Dhammapada  126 that a person who doesn't dwell on all  good  and evil  dhammas achieves  Nirvana ;

- says in the  Dhammapada  267 that the person who threw away all  good  and evil deeds is called a monk;

- and say in  Dharma Dhamma  412 that the person who  overcomes  the  bonds  of all  good  and evil deeds is called by the Buddha a  Brahmin .

Language  no office facilities , transcends  good and evil , also  Neng  says  specifically  in  the Platform Sutra  - the translations of Minh Truc Vietnamese  Zen master , where the  Dinh Hue , cited as follows:

"... Chu  Thien's knowledge , our  dharma methods  come down from above, we first set up Khong Niem (Non- Mindfulness ) as a cardboard,  No General  ( General ) as our body, No Head ( No Universe ) as the root. Not reciting means while reciting, the heart is not moving. To formless  means to  form , to disregard  form . No offices meant for the  good and evil , good and bad in  the world , along with  enemies , relatives, for once listen to the words of  insult ,  stinging , contempt,  struggle, The human nature   considers it all  as if it were  not, not thinking of   repaying gratitude . In  mindfulness, the  mind does not think of the scenes he has met before. If  chanting first , reciting this thought, reciting later,  reciting chanting one  another after another, it is called bound. For the law,  mindfulness concept  does not head anywhere is from being bound. That's taking Aerospace as the Root ... ”

Summary of the sutta :  Liberation  does not come because it is seen, heard, learned. Liberation  is the  very basis of office , who  shuns  all concepts, all  knowledge , all the rituals ... are not what artifacts, people  let go  of all, including the mind  to let go .

[ Brahmin  said:]

Here, I saw a pure man  , a high-ranking  man , who was  far away from  all diseases.

I will be  purified  by what I see.

[ Buddha :]

Be  convinced  like that and then see that is the highest

it falls in  the knowledge  that

while contemplating on  tranquility .

If one is  purified  by what is seen

or if anyone believes he will escape misery through  knowledge

meaning they think they will be  purified  by something else.

It would be  wrong  to think like that, when believing like that.

A virtuous person   does not say that  purity  will be

because  based on  something else, or because  based on  seeing and touching

or because  based on  the precepts  or  rites  religious

Good and evil are no longer cling to  anything  with

who has  let go of  all, no longer create anything.

Those who  let go of  one take another and capture that,

keep running after  craving , they cannot escape

They  let go , then they grabbed hold

just like a monkey, letting go of this branch to capture that branch.

Who vin in concept,  preserving  ritual  religion

will keep  going up and  down  forever.

Who  realized the  Dharma  [suffering,  impermanence ,  non-self ] with  wisdom

There will be no  more  ups and downs  .

The wise will not fight with anything

See, hear, touch,  feel

What does  this world say about people like that

they walked  in  this life , but they left the  three realms  .

No opinion or position is  expressed  , nor much to like / dislike

the wise also don't give [anything]  the  ultimate purity

They have  let go of  their  craving  to remain  bound

and no longer desires anything in this world.

With  Virtue  has  transcended  all  borders

who knew and saw - found nothing to hold

see nothing to indulge, also see nothing to renounce
