Untie mind and body, keep mindfulness - live in concentration .VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
We must reflect on the teachings of the Buddha as well as apply them in our lives and reap the holy fruits of the path of bliss. If you can not do so, it is a waste of a monastic life.
The Buddha stipulates that monks and nuns must stay in detention for three months so that we can diligently reflect on whether our actions, deeds, and thoughts are true to the Dharma, so that we can build a life of resolution. the escape of a monk. It is an important thing that has been done since the beginning of Buddhism and is still being kept to this day.
Therefore, we must reflect on the Buddha's teachings as well as apply them in our lives and reap the holy fruits of the path of bliss. If you can not do so, it is a waste of a monastic life.
The Buddha taught ordained people the first thing is to untie their own body and mind. Prohibition of settling is an appropriate time for practitioners to concentrate, remodel themselves, review themselves to see what the five aggregates are in. With regard to the body such as eating, sleeping, and the needs of material life, whether it makes you uncomfortable or not. For the mind, consider how life, thought, action and consciousness evolve. On the path of spiritual practice, if you cannot untie your body and mind, you definitely cannot do other things.

We must reflect on the teachings of the Buddha as well as apply them in our lives and reap the holy fruits of the path of bliss. If you can not do so, it is a waste of a monastic life.
Untangling one's body means that we are not dependent on life. Many people misunderstand that if we are still alive, how can we not depend on life?
Buddha taught us not to depend on life, which is an important thing that I have spent many years thinking and applying in my religious life.
Before Buddha's enlightenment, there were many Taoist practitioners who did not depend on life by forcing their bodies. Buddha has also applied this practice, he fasted to the point where his stomach was sticking to his ribs, until he collapsed. Thus, the ascetic method of asceticism does not bring any benefit to the practice.
In fact, our lives are maintained in the four elements. On the basis of the body of the four elements, to exist, to be independent from it means that we must live in a peaceful way so that the body is not ill and has a healthy body. This experience Buddha experienced, showing that a healthy body has a pure soul is the door of liberation. That path is called the Middle Way, not dependent on life, or living with what we have. Since then, the Buddha realized that material life does not need as much as people often think. It is okay to eat one meal a day, or two or three days a day.
In order to maintain this life, it is indispensable to eat to live and for monks and nuns to live to practice. And most importantly, how to protect the best spiritual life in lower schools is that there are few sick people.
The second more important step, is to untie our minds of four parts: feeling, perception, action and consciousness forming our spiritual being.

The Buddha taught ordained people the first thing is to untie their own body and mind.
Sensation also means the feeling we have due to the five senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue and body) coming into contact with five things: color, sound, flavor, taste and touch.
Therefore, on the path of spiritual practice, in my experience, during our time of cultivation, we do not want to let the external conditions affect us to make us happy, sad, afraid, etc.
Those who obey the Buddha's teaching, forbidden to go out, and then ban the five senses do not allow external contact. Because external contact, we have to be influenced by the complex life of society that causes us discomfort, sadness and ultimately, we are bound by society.
I have experimented and would like to share with the head monk and fellow practitioners to settle down that eating and drinking in Vietnam is very simple, but they are less sick. It is thanks to the application of the method of To Thien Thai taught that do not eat too much, do not eat too little and do not use toxic foods.
Usually in other places, Buddhists make offerings of whatever food they use. This is true, but nowadays foods contain many toxins that can easily cause disease.
So, eating just enough, or a little lacking is okay, but using foods that know the source, guaranteed non-toxic, meaning clean food will help our bodies clean, healthy. Also put into the body dirty food certainly contaminated body forming countless diseases.
In addition to using clean food and eating just enough, the second thing, in lower secondary school Vietnam Quoc Tu absolutely does not allow monks to interact with Buddhists, every day, practitioners settle only from the room to the chief the power to meditate, chant, pray, or down the road to real life and business. Monks and nuns live in isolated quarters of meditators, although monks and nuns outside cannot enter. Thus, in the mind of the practitioner, he knows that no one can come to cause trouble and the spirit of the practitioner is not contaminated by external influences.

Sensation also means the feeling we have due to the five senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue and body) coming into contact with five things: color, sound, flavor, taste and touch.
There is also visit, normal contact, our spirit is vulnerable to predestined harm. Indeed, do not allow practitioners to settle in contact with the outside, because I realized that worldly spiritual interference is very strong and very long. Therefore, I absolutely do not allow the noise of the world to nibble on the spirit of the masses to settle in order to end the great obstacle that hinders our spiritual progress.
With the practice of practicing Dharma without contact with outsiders and in our hearts, we do not want to contact, so that the practitioner's mind and mind can settle easily, which is very helpful for promoting body and mind. It was also my experience when I was a young student studying at the Indo-Buddhist school, because of not having contact with the outside and not going out, my heart felt really peaceful.
However, when the detention is not in contact, but because we have been in contact for a long time, the mind still wavers, thinking about this and that. In fact, some teachers secretly hid their phones, and some asked them to use their phones as an excuse to study for exams. But when the monks came to settle and still did so, I did not accept. Keeping the phone connected outside is the body in the ashram, but the mind is mundane, so what is it for? Many religious people, few enlightened people are like that.
There is a head nun telling the girls to settle down, but still going to school outside. I told him that the summer retreat and the Buddhist school would be closed. Is the temple a dormitory or not.
I came here to visit, choose Tu Nghiem's family because I thought when establishing this temple, the head monk Nhu Thanh arranged for nuns to practice seriously.
I hope that you take the path of a nun, and then raise your level of spiritual cultivation to remove the ten decades, the history, to be a part of the Congregation. May Buddha bless all those who settle, and be peaceful in the glory of Buddha.

Eating just enough, or a little lacking is okay, but using foods that know the source, guaranteed non-toxic, or clean food to help our bodies clean and healthy.
Today with good fortune, I visited the practitioners at the lower school of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda.
I have some thoughts to share with you. Formerly, the five brothers Kieu Tran Nhu received the teachings of Buddha and in a short time of only three months of settling, they attained Arahantship.
This made me think for many years and finally I realized that it was very important to rely on the Buddha's support of mindfulness.
Indeed, anyone who practices the Dharma flower knows that someone who is recited by the Buddha can recite the Dharma flower.
Kieu Tran Nhu was directly blessed by the Buddha, so he attained the fruit very easily. Now, we cultivate but not attain the Holy result, because we do not receive the Buddha's blessing. Thinking of this idea, I chanted the flower Dharma and realized that Samantabhadra Bodhisattva asked Buddha when he was in the world, and there was a Buddhist sutra, but after the Buddha died, how could I have a Dharma flower.
The Buddha answered that in order to have the Flower Sutra, you must have all four dharma s: "Determined to practice according to the Sutra, must be able to see as far as the Buddhas, seeing the truth of the three worlds. Determined to cultivate wholesome mindfulness in their minds, protect life for all spirits, and concentrate on practicing meditation. The mind is bright, there are French flowers, the four seas are home, the bosses of the Dharma realm. If so, that is, the Buddha money, four peacefully that shore sense.
Today, because time does not allow me, I just insist on the point that Buddha taught us to plant wholesome minds in the mind that is synonymous with planting good roots in Buddhas.
Indeed, Shakyamuni Buddha asserted that he was a Buddha and all sentient beings were Buddhas. Therefore, cultivating wholesome living in sentient beings means that we arouse bodhicitta for everyone, nourish their bodhichitta to grow and grow until the attainment of a Buddha in the future. Doing so means that we have cultivated good roots in future Buddhas, because everyone is a hybrid of Buddha.
In addition, on the path of spiritual practice, we cultivate wholesomeness in the Buddha by daily diligence of reciting the Buddha's teachings, thinking of the Buddha's teaching, and applying the Buddha Dharma in the spiritual life of the Buddha. myself to reap the good results set an example for life. By cultivating benevolence in the Buddhas in such a way that we have nurtured the Buddha hidden in our own minds, we will surely reap the Buddhahood on the path of promoting virtue and his wisdom.

Buddha Shakyamuni affirmed that he is a Buddha and all sentient beings are Buddha.
Thus, according to the Buddha's teaching, we try to cultivate wholesome roots as a necessary condition to receive the Buddha's blessing. Indeed, if we do not cultivate wholesome roots, we will not be recited by Buddha; Because we nourish the evil seed to have the same frequency as the evil, the demons will take care of us. And we cultivate in the persevering power of the demons, which is why we cannot reap the good results of following Buddha, but only to suffer.
The reality shows that those who cultivate but are maintained by the devils, they always initiate desires, anger, likes to harm others ... making their feet obscured, so the Buddha's sun does not enlighten their hearts. .
The key point that I realized the reason why Buddha's family recited Kieu Tran Nhu gently, simply and effectively, was extremely effective.
The reason for Buddha to recite Kieu Tran Nhu was because Kieu Tran Nhu had studied with Uttang Lam Phat at the same time as Prince Si Dat Ta. And Kieu Tran Nhu has attained from the Fourth Jhana to the Abhidharma unthought. From the base of such a privileged position, when he followed the Buddha's practice, although he had not yet attained Arahantship, his mind was completely pure, because the mind was always in concentration, in meditation, thus, Buddha bless you easily.

On the spiritual path, we cultivate the basis of goodness in the Buddhas by daily diligence in reciting the Buddha's teachings.
While most of us live with mindfulness, no matter how much Buddha loves us, we will not be able to support it, because we and Buddha are in two realms of frequency completely far away, far beyond the ocean on this side. to the other side of the ocean.
The third story that I have just experienced, please remind me to settle and try to keep mindfulness and practice living in right concentration in the same way as Kieu Tran Nhu, surely Buddha's power is given to us, helping us to have the mind peaceful. With that pure mind, we receive the wisdom of Buddha, from which we look at life with the wisdom of Buddha, surely we do not make mistakes and of course no disaster.
During the monastic season is the best time for us to experience the essence of the Buddha Dharma, we wish you to try to follow the path of Patriarch Vinh Nghiem, of the predecessors who have experienced brilliant results. , you will also reap the same results as they did. Pray for practitioners to be peaceful during the detention season.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.22/4/2020.
