AN 7.61 Sleep Sutra :  Pacalāyamānasuttaṃ.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

1. Like this I hear . At one time the Blessed One stayed among the Bhagga people, at Suṃsumāragira mountain, Bhesaka ḷā forest (or  Bhesakala ),  in Nai garden.

6 . If he resides like that, and the hypnosis does not disappear, at this time Moggallāna,  please pull his ears, and massage his hands and feet.  This event happened, because the resident so, the hypnosis was eradicated.

7 . If he resides like that, and that hypnosis is not ceased, this time Moggallāna,  please from your seat, get up to wipe the eyes, look towards the horizon and look up at the twinkling stars.  This event happened, because the resident so, the hypnosis was eradicated.

8 . If he resides like that, and that hypnosis is not eradicated, this time Moggallāna mentions the light and dwells  in the daytime thought. Like daytime and nighttime too. Like night, daytime too. Thus, with an open mind, there are no restrictions.  This event happened, because the resident so, the hypnosis was eradicated.

9 . If he resides like that, and that hypnosis is not eradicated, this time Moggallāna master stay on the business, with the idea in front and behind, with inward intimacy  , with the intention of not being extroverted.  This event happened, because the resident so, the hypnosis was eradicated.

10 . If he resides like that, and that hypnosis is not eradicated, this time Moggallāna  he should lie like a lion, on the right hip, feet on top of each other, mindfulness, ideas with consciousness get up. And when you wake up, Moggallāna, please wake up quickly, thinking: "I will reside, without paying attention to the sleeping peanuts, the peanuts lie down on one side, the blissful".  As such, Moggallāna, you need to study.

1 1 . Therefore, Moggallāna, please learn as follows:  "Without drunkenness in the nobility,  I will go to visit families".  Hey Moggallāna, so the teachers will study. Hey Moggallāna, if the Male-stilts revel in the superior go to visit the family. In families, Moggallāna, people have a lot of work to do. Therefore, people have no effect on Female-stilts went to. Here, Female-stilts can think:  "Now, who has separated us from this family. These people do not like anything we".  Thus, due to nothing, he discouraged, he fluctuated; due to oscillation, he did not protect, due to no protection, the mind leaves meditation. Therefore, Moggallāna,  learn the following: "I will not say provocation". As such, Moggallāna, you need to study. Whenever there is provocative words, Moggallāna, the waiting time is many words back and forth, when there are many words back and forth, the time has fluctuated. For people who have fluctuations, there is no protection. For people without protection, the mind leaves meditation. Moggallāna, I do not praise all relationships, but not I do not praise all relationships. Indeed, Moggallāna, I do not praise the renunciants with a connection, with the homeowners. But for the residences with less noise, less noise, free from the breath of many people, solitary places far away from humankind, suitable for the Zen life, we praise the connection with such residents. so.
